CASH ONLY RESTAURANT! love this different style pho. They are the closest and best quick fix that is healthier than fast food. They have the wider noodles, not really what I normally get from Pho restaurants, but the noodle is actually good. And fresh! Pho Ga (chicken pho) small is now my favorite and the only thing I will order from here. ;) They use the same noodles and stir fry them too. It's goood. It think it's Vietnamese chow fun. I have to update my previous review...my 2nd visit I had #14 Beef pho with thin rice noodles instead of the wide flat noodles. Though the noodles are not the same as most southern Pho, the soup was good. The broth was flavorful and not greasy. The beef was tender but I only got 2 beef balls. I will definitely return for the quail or claypot. There are no decent Pho places south of the Tenderloin and this place is almost as good. Place is clean and staff is friendly. Plus they serve beer. But the vermicelli noodles with bbq pork are so delicious I will face my fears and order from them. I came here when it was first opened. I ordered a Bun Bo Hue here but felt like the chef has no idea what it suppose to look like because he must thought the food was made for a westerner. I have had pho all over San Francisco. This place has the best chicken pho in the city.. The chicken isn't dry and the there is plenty of noodle. If your on this side of town and want pho come a eat here... Bring cash though since they don't take credit cards. read more

I come here at least once a month. I love northern styled pho with the wide noodles. This is the place for that (other than Turtle Tower). That thin noodle stuff you get at other places? I don't tolerate that stuff. I find those noodles to be the kind of noodles that are hard to put into a little spoon because it gets tangled into a little mess AND.. my sriracha just does not taste right with it. You see, I have a platonic relationship with my sriracha. We go hand in hand. I give it loving by eating it with my favorite foods, and it supplies me with a hot spicy flavorgasm in my mouth. Anyways, Pho #1 has very good Pho Ga. The chicken here is soooooo moist! (Just thinking about it is making me drool) Sriracha + Pho #1 = love I think we have a winner. read more

Decide to tried this place. This place is overall clean but the service is lacking. When I walk in and notice there that the waitress was no where to be found. Waited for a while finally someone came out and took my order. Order the garlic noodles with beef (to go order). For some reason the garlic noodles took longer to come out because a group of four people came in after me and they got their order before I did. One thing I notice is that while waiting there is that none of the waitress was out on the floor. It seem like they are hiding in the kitchen. Got home and took out the box of noodle and my hand was cover in oil. It was disgusting. The portion of noodle was huge but there a few piece of beef. read more

Disgusting. The "shrimp" imperial rolls were black and looked like death. My "crab" pho tasted like sausage. I'm a pescaterian and the waitress assured me that the crab pho was exclusively crab. Don't come here!! The first time i came here, I thought that this place looks nice. But actually worst place ever!!!!!! Their service was the worst, like even worse than china town's restaurant service! The pho are not traditional, the noodles are not the right kind, their broth are all made up of MSG, it is not classic chicken broth! There was no sprouts, no basil, no jalapeños, no NOTHING!!! I bet they are cheap asses, so that why the pho only got the broth and noddles, and meat! OMG, the plates, cups and bowls are all washed with freaken BLEACH!! You can smell the strong bleach smell, even when there were pho in it! My friends wanted to eat pho one day, so I had go along with them, we ate here, and i wanted to add some soy sauce to my pho, and in the soy sauce was little baby cockroaches!! WTF!!! Too hot for a hot bowl of noodle soup?? No problem, try number 30!! Vermicelli with BBQ beef with fresh veggies. Me and my husband always finds a way to eat here regardless of the weather. I had the vermicelli cold noodles with chicken and the egg roll. My chicken was so dry and the portion was like the measure everything out but it was disgusting. My husband had the bun rieu and omg it was just the meat in it and it was bland. We had spring rolls and the lettuce was so old and soggy.
