Came here to try their Bahn Mi sandwich. We got a grilled beef and a grilled pork and an order of the spring rolls. Because we "checked in" on Yelp, we got a free Thai tea. It's a bit sweet for my liking. Both sandwiches were ok. The beef and pork were both very tender and flavorful. It had jalapeños in it, but it was very spicy. It needed some kind of spice tho. Maybe a side of siracha sauce? The bread was slighted charred. It was crunchy and soft at the same time. I usually get the combination Bahn Mi, so this was the first time having a grilled beef and grilled pork sandwich. The spring rolls were ok. The wrap was a bit on the chewy side. One of the best Pho restaurants I've had. Service is fast and friendly but busy! We got there right when they opened and people were already waiting. It's a hole in wall but let me tell you it's delicious! Egg rolls were crispy and cooked to perfection and the shrimp fried rice was one of the best I've ever had! This place has become one of my favorite spots for pho and the lemon grass chicken. First let me start with the lemon grass chicken it is flavorful and the portions are generous. The chicken is soft and cooked to perfection. It is a flavor explosion after the first bite! The pho broth is also very tasty and the meats are clean and cooked to order. I have tried many places and this just became my number one spot. On service, be ready to wait a bit if it's busy. The people are really nice but they could use a hand in the front. My barber recommended this place and he was raving about their crispy noodle. Since it's the wife's favorite we decided to give it a try. She got the vegetarian (tofu) crispy noodle and she said it ranks top of her list. Normally she leaves half for leftovers but not today. I always get combination pho wherever I go and the broth was one of the tastiest I have had. They gave a huge portion as well and like my wife I did not leave anything for leftovers. We also always start with the crispy egg rolls and TBH I don't think anyone can mess that up. So it's comparable to other good egg rolls I've had. What made it was the fish sauce, I don't know the ratio of lime, sugar and water they're using but it was perfect. Will be going here from now on as our go to Vietnamese spot. read more

Tasted like an extremely light chicken soup. Vietnamese iced coffee w/ condensed milk: 3/5 - had a strong very dry taste in the mouth. I only drank a quarter of the drink. Service: 2/5 - nice waitress but she never checked on us once she delivered our food. We were the only customers in the restaurant. We had to walk up to her to ask for more napkins, water, to go boxes, and to pay. Overall, I'd give this place a 2 because the food wasn't really good and I don't think I'd come back. Wonderful customer service! Friendly and attentive staff! I believe Pho is the perfect meal to enjoy on a cold, rainy day or for those days that you may need a little pick-me-up. I like to order their P1 and make it a Special Combo: (beef broth, eye round, well-done brisket, tendon & tripe), 2 egg rolls & a soft drink. The broth always comes out piping hot, is very delicious, and I love that they provide you with a lot of the side veggies as well. The last time I dined here there was a sweet older gentleman who was so funny and making jokes with our table. He reminded us of an older uncle with his cheerful smile and "dad jokes." This used to be my favorite place since it was opened, but I found out it had changed management during my recent visit. The beef stew broth was way too thick and I don't understand why when I ordered "beef stew with rice", the beef stew has half bowl of vermicelli in it. The seafood combination noodle soup is terrible, the only fresh ingredient is a few shrimp, other than that it's only fish cake and intimated crab meat, the broth tastes full of MSG. My friend and me only finished less than half of our food. We feel they are not longer genuine Vietnamese food anymore, I miss the old Pho 2012 !!! But I might go back and try their pho, just to give them one more chance. *update for responding to manager's comment* I am an Asian who lives in the US for 26 years, I love Vietnamise foods, I've had pho, beef stew, and stir fry dishes at over hundred of restaurants in SoCal area, including Pho 2012 under previous management. Mama Hong nearby makes the typical beef stew, maybe you use recipe from different area, but I suggest you try theirs out. read more

I wanted to try a new Vietnamese restaurant so this venue popped up on Yelp. Pho 2012 is out of view and in the back (backend corner) of the In-n-Out plaza. This place is decent but not one of the better Vietnamese restaurants in Orange County.  I had their grilled pork Banh Mi sandwich.  The bread was kind of hard for a baguette and the pork was not as flavorful as other places.  I think Lee's Sandwiches are still the best in class. My son had their plain pho noodle soup and the color of the broth is much darker than usual. Again, I could tell this didn't smell as aromatic as pho from other places we've been to.  The rice beef dish with egg rolls are okay. I think I need to come back and try another dish -- perhaps the fried fish sticks with salad seems interesting! read more

I entered the restaurant and there's no customer, so they greeted me right away and they told me that I can sit anywhere! I chose the booth seating as I'm alone and it's just me. I got the pho dac biet with everything in it. Size small for $12.95 and it was great and worth it! I think the size portion for me is perfect because I finished it and I didn't feel like I had to force myself to finish it because it was too much. They have a small and large size and the small is perfect for my hunger. Anyway, I also ordered the cha gio - fried egg rolls. It came with 4 egg rolls and 2 lettuce wraps. I would love to have two more lettuce wraps but that's ok. I didn't ask for more. I only ate two anyway. The other two, I took it for to go. As time went on, people came in to eat and order to go as well. The sign outside says they close at 9pm and not 8pm! They thanked me when I was leaving. Food is decent and can tell it's a small family owned business bc the whole family was working at the kitchen and ordering. The owner (the dad) seems funny but he also rubbed me in a wrong way with masks, my daughter wore one but I didn't and she pointed to me and talked to my kid and saying no mask no food; I don't know if he was trying to be funny, but it made me feeling uncomfortable in front of my kid and the rest of the people at the restaurant.
