Food is decent and can tell it's a small family owned business bc the whole family was working at the kitchen and ordering. The owner (the dad) seems funny but he also rubbed me in a wrong way with masks, my daughter wore one but I didn't and she pointed to me and talked to my kid and saying no mask no food; I don't know if he was trying to be funny, but it made me feeling uncomfortable in front of my kid and the rest of the people at the restaurant. Super friendly staff, decent food and casual environment. The downside - the place needs a makeover and a deep cleaning. The food we had was pretty good - I should have tried the Pho since that's usually the way to tell how a place will fare overall. But, I was in the mood for Bun so I got the pork/shrimp/egg roll combo. The egg rolls were hot and very good. The shrimp was perfect. The pork was grilled just right. Overall a really good Bun with Nuoc Mom that was tasty (just add some chili to it). We also got the grilled pork Bahn Mi. The roll was exactly how it should be - crispy outside and soft interior. A nice sandwich but.... The Bun and Bahn Mi both needed some flavor. Fairly bland without the fish sauce and some of the table seasoning. It all looked amazing - but needed spice/flavor. The chef appeared to be an older gentlemen and without trying to offend I suspect that he isn't seasoning the food as he might have 20 years ago. My mother-in-law does the same thing. Over time her curry has become pretty mild. I'll be back to try the Pho and I hope that the chef brings in some fresh tasters to tweak the recipes a bit. I eat ALOT of Vietnamese all over the world and the spring roll combo is so fresh here ! I also really like the quality of the carrot and radish pickles I might get a side of them to go home. They do give you a free tea for a review but honestly I don't even really want the tea this place is tasty I was thinking of reviewing anyways. Little things like having nice thick drinking glasses that are made of glass not plastic and when you order a soda they come full of ice so you get satisfaction of pouring your soda out of the can .... Added small bonus the music is great it's like very chill electronic music. I will go out of my way to come back at some point as we don't live nearby but u wish we did . read more

Horrible service. I waited 45 minutes inside for 2 spring rolls and a seafood pho bowl. Other people were walking in either sitting down to eat or ordering to go, and they got served before me. The host came to me half way asking what I ordered because he forgot. At the end he didn't even apologize for me wanting this long. I'm very disappointed with the lack of service. I've been to this place a few times and well as all the other Pho places with in a 20 min drive from YLTC and it never disappoints. I usually order Pho Tai Sach (it's not on the menu) and my wife orders the Seafood soup (H5). The veggies and basil are super fresh, the lime juicy, and pho broth flavorful. But the time I add all the ingredients, it's perfect. The noodles are prepped right and the condiment containers (hoisin, saracha, etc) are super clean. They are very generous with the portions and the service is excellent. I recommend that you get here early as it can get busy. Pho Vina is across the way, but I like this place better. If you like pho, and you are in this area, you should try both places and decide. Check it out! Update - Jan 30 2023 Still amazing. Excellent service, delicious food, and tasty drinkable water (which is sometimes hard to find at some restaurants in Orange County). This time my wife had the Roasted Chicken with Egg Noodles (soup). It was great! I was lucky enough to snitch some of her chicken for my Pho Tai Sach. So yummy. PS - lots of regulars were coming in while we were there. I was craving pho and decided to come to this one again. In addition to rare beef pho, I ordered a calamari. Both were very good, the broth is my favorite to slurp before I add in my extra sauces and lime, and the sauce for the calamari was tasty. I ordered a large bowl of pho and even ordered extra noodles to put in so I could take for leftovers haha. There was no music or even TV sound on though so ambiance was a little quiet. This was our favorite for years. They've recently sold and you can definitely tell. Not only is the whole restaurant filthy, the food came out burnt. Our pho broth was not hot enough to cook our raw beef and the broth was grey. We had to send it back for them to heat the broth some more. Really bummed but we'll have to find a new spot. read more

Used to come dine here when I was living in the area. For Anaheim Hills, I would have to consider it good. Prices aren't too high and are similar to those in Little Saigon area (Westminster, Garden Grove, Midtown, etc.) Lately have been coming for lunch and I really enjoy getting their Bun Dac Biet (Vermicelli with fresh veggies, pickled Daikin/carrots, choice of BBQ pork, chicken, or beef, BBQ shrimp, egg roll, and shrimp paste wrapped in bean curd). Their nuoc mam (fish Vinegrette) is so good. Nice and fresh with lime juice and has a nice kick from the Thai chilis and aromatic garlic. Portion is really nice and you get what you pay for. Service is super friendly. Definitely COVID-19 friendly. Server always has a shield on. Every other table is restricted to ensure social distancing. ALSO SLOW CLAP FOR THIS SERVER. Customer came in with a friend without a mask and she politely explained that she would need to enter with a mask to dine in. This women acted as if this was some profound new rule. Lady, were in a pandemic and businesses are just try to abide by the rules mandated by the government!Even her friend had her mask on! We mainly ordered pho (large sizes) and while the broth was tasty and they gave a generous amount of noodles....the beef (rare beef, brisket) were TOUGH. It was super chewy, lacked flavor, and was honestly, just not good quality. The condiments were also subpar. I understand that there's a sriracha shortage now, but the hot sauce they had was overly sweet and not great. They also don't offer a chili oil here. Overall, I didn't care for the food at this place and hoping it was just an off day. Also, they charge a 15% party fee (gratuity) over a certain amount of people. read more

Service: I tried to call a couple times on a Sunday afternoon for take out but no one is available to pick up the phone so I ended up walking in to place my to go order. There is one person working the front of the restaurant and probably 1 chef in the back for 1/2 a dining room full of patrons. Service was slower than usual as a result. Food wise: the large pho dac biet came with a big portion of protein (including raw beef stored separately in a plastic baggie) and what would seem like a normal amount of pho noodles. The broth is flavorful. I appreciated that the soup was in a styrofoam container instead of a plastic one that most places use. It was perfect for myself for two meals. The shrimp spring rolls were pretty standard. It was fresh. The sauce is okay; nothing to write home about. The vermicelli bowl with pork and egg roll was also delicious.
