I have been coming to this pho restaurant since 2019 and it is my FAVORITE pho ever. I'm so happy that they made it through the pandemic and I've been coming about 1-2x per month since late 2021 after I found out that they were open for business. I also door dash from here frequently and food always comes well prepped- no leakage! The service is AMAZING! Love the friendly atmosphere, great family feel coming here. Amazing food, the only seafood pho in the south bay as I've been dragged to other pho restaurants that sadly do not do a seafood pho like this place does. Also great prices, so much food for such a little price. Overall I love this restaurant, this family, and their delicious recipes. I drive over 20 minutes away just to eat this delicious bowl of soup all the time, second time eating here this week. This bowl of soup got me through a tough winter last year and this restaurant is so dedicated that they stayed open through Hurricane Hilary! I came for the Bun Rieu but was disappointed. The broth, crab cake and noodles were all thin. Broth was not thick or rich. Crab cakes were small and tasteless. I've seen this place many times, but finally decided to give it a try! There's a good amount of parking in the back of the restaurant. When I arrived at around 9pm on a Saturday night, there was no line but all the seats were full. I ordered the Pho Tai (didn't take any photos since I was hungry and forgot), but the beef was tender and the portion size was decent. Tonight I was drawn to the cuisine and they were open a little later. When I got there it was a strange vibe. I was informed that I could only order pho as all other menu items were unavailable I ordered the #7 (raw beef and brisket). The pho was out within 5 minutes. It was good. Originally, I would give this place a 2 stars but I saw only one of the guy servers who ran out to help this group of guys push their car with a flat tire while the rest watched and gossiped. My dad ordered the pho and didn't like how much MSG they used in their pho broth, but if you like a lot of MSG, then this place would be good for you. I ordered the banh hoi dish with a side of grilled pork. The sugarcane shrimp and tofu skin stuffed with shrimp were mostly batter and not a lot of shrimp. The meatball was made the same as well with more filling than meat. The grilled pork side was a bit dry but the best out of everything that came with the dish. Additionally, when you serve the knife to go with the plate, please don't have the blade facing out towards the customer for personal and public safety. Use a napkin to cover the blade. read more

And my kids actually eat it! Pickiest critics ever lol. Super fast service, friendly staff. Legit Vietnamese pop music on the tv all day. I'd come here all the time just for that haha - and I do. As a hardcore broth gal, I usually drink most of the broth. But here, I only ate the noodles and meat. One good thing about the bun bo hue here is that there's oxtail, but unfortunately that's not enough to make me come back. I've been a patron of Pho So 1, which is down the street, for a while but I've always wanted to see how Pho Consomme compares. After finally coming here, I think the pho here is a notch below Pho So 1. On the plus side, the service here is good. The service is quick and the staff is really friendly and make an effort to get to know you. I got an order of the pho dac biet (special) and it comes loaded with all types of meat. I thought the noodles were a bit overcooked and came really clumped together (like it was straight from the packaging). The broth was decent but not as flavorful as I hoped it would be. I still really love this place since it's close to home and the food is consistent, but the last time I came here our food took a really long time to come out, so the server gave us free spring rolls which was a plus. But when we went to pay our order still came out to 30$ so they gave us the wrong check. I've been here countless times and, to boil my review down...the service is hit or miss, you typically have to ask for service, and the food is consistently good (for what I get). Service: I got to this restaurant early and was waiting for my friend to arrive. I was given two menus. No one came to see if I wanted water until my friend arrived and all of a sudden we received service! And the first thing he asked was, "Do you need more time deciding what you want?" My friend JUST GOT THERE and he's already asking us if we knew that we wanted. But...LOL we didn't need more time she knew exactly what she wanted. So we ordered and I asked for water. I was thirsty. I could see the bird of paradise plants outside growing. And then we got our water. We stayed from about 6:30 until 9:30 and after initially getting water I had to keep raising my hand and asking them for more water. And on top of that they don't always fill your cup all the way - the third and fourth time I asked they filled it up half way. Maybe they were trying to push us out? I can understand that, they closed at 9:30. Also, not every server talks to you. Which I know sounds weird, but I've been where the server will talk at the beginning and never talk to you again. Oh they'll serve you, you just won't hear anything from them. It's super weird. Food: I normally get the number 1 pho with rare slices of steak, well-done brisket, flank tendon, tripe, and beef balls with rice noodles for about $8. I rarely get anything else because I really like their pho, so I normally get it. It doesn't give me a headache after I've eaten it and it doesn't leave me abnormally thirsty - all thumbs up in my book.
