My dad loves pho ga and has been craving it, so I took him here for lunch yesterday. We were both very pleased with the high quality and taste. He ordered the #2 Pho Ga (Shredded Dark Meat) and I got the #3 Pho Ga (White Meat). We ordered and paid at the counter as we entered the restaurant and food was delivered to our table. The servers were all very polite and friendly. The pho was amazing! We absolutely loved the broth, noodles, organic walking chicken, and fresh herbs. We also received complimentary black bean and tapioca dessert that was really good. Each week, there's a special dish that's only offered during that week, so come check them out and see what the surprise will be each week! I 100% recommend this restaurant and will be coming back with my dad next time he has a craving for pho ga! It was absolutely delicious and was just the right portion size for $16 per bowl. It's worth noting that this restaurant is a shared space with Crab Hut. Pho Ga Go is only opened Mondays - Fridays from 10am to 2pm. They're available for dine in or take out. Outside of these hours, if you go, it will be Crab Hut.

Best pho I've had in San Diego! The broth and all the ingredients were so fresh and delicious. I also really enjoyed the egg rolls and pho rolls. The dipping sauces all had good flavor. The food was ready quickly and service was on point. I'll definitely be back for the pho and appetizers.

The best chicken pho I've had yet!! This is a "pop up" chicken pho place inside the Crab hut in Miramesa mall. They are open only M-F 10am-2pm. When you "check in" that's where you order and pay and then sit down. The only complaint we had was we waited almost 20 mins for our food after we ordered and were seated. But... it was definitely worth the wait. The broth is very flavorful and their sate has a hint of lemongrass and is very good, although I wish it were spicier. I love sate in my pho! We got there around 12.30pm and they already ran out of the dark meat, so we got the white meat, which was still good. The restaurant was packed. The servers were all super friendly and you can tell they were working as quickly as they can. We will definitely be back. They have a "rotating menu" so I'd love to come back and try some different menu items of the week.

Pretty decent Rice Paper (egg?) Rolls but they are tiny, like one bite each

Kind of disappointed. Maybe it's because I'm used to the punchy flavor of a good South Viet pho ga, but this chicken pho flavor was extremely subdued in flavor. Honestly it felt like it was missing a good amount of salt to bring out the herbs and spices. Good lemongrass flavor but that alone doesn't cut it. The chicken itself was nice and tender, but again without the slightly salty flavor infused into the meat, it just fell flat. Noodles were a tad soft and overcooked but that could also be regional, I just don't know. I've heard such great things about this pho and the promo videos they've done seemed promising, so I'm hoping this was just a fluke. Service was friendly, no complaints. Maybe they should just turn the Crabhut into a Pho spot since everyone that day was there for pho and not Crabhut in this economy.

I've been seeing Pho Ga Go all over my social media feed, so I finally decided to give it a try with a friend. Since it was our first visit, we both ordered the Pho Gà (chicken pho), and it did not disappoint. There was a line when we arrived, and the wait after ordering was a bit long, but the food was absolutely worth it. The broth was rich, flavorful, and comforting--honestly one of the best chicken pho broths I've had. My recommendation is to taste the broth first before adding any sauces or condiments because it's that good on its own. I did try some of the chili lemongrass oil on one side of my bowl, which added a nice kick and depth of flavor. That said, I found myself going back and forth between the spicy side and the original broth because I genuinely enjoyed both. The host mentioned that they rotate their menu, so I'm glad we stopped by while pho was being featured. If this bowl is any indication of the quality they put out, I'll definitely be back to try more of what they offer. Great flavor, friendly service, and a unique pop-up concept. The wait can be a little long, but it's well worth it. Highly recommended!

Pho Ga Go is a takeout pop-up located inside Crab Hut at The Village in Mira Mesa. You have to order by noon and at least 24 hours in advance on Tock and then schedule a pickup time. On weekends, the pickup time range is from 12 to 3 pm while on weekdays the pickup time slot is from 4 to 7 pm. The menu was simple with three major items... Phở Gà (chicken phở), Chả Giò (egg rolls), and Gỏi Gà Xé Phai (chicken salad). The chicken phở was available with two meat types, dark (leg and thigh) or white (breast and wing). I chose the latter for my order along with a set of five egg rolls. The kitchen prepared the broth by slowly simmering the liquid over 12 hours with chicken bones. A generous spread of herbs was added to the soup. Fresh, thick noodles were used instead of thin rice vermicelli at most Vietnamese eateries. Typical garnishments were also provided like cilantro, green onions, bean sprouts, Thai basil, and lime wedges. When I arrived at 4:00, there were already a few customers who had checked in ahead of me. A pickup table was arranged to the right of the entrance when you walked inside Crab Hut. I thought that orders would have been already bagged and ready to go, however the worker was still slowly assembling each one. After a 15-minute wait, I was given a paper bag containing multiple takeout vessels. One held the five egg rolls, another was filled with the soup, a third had the noodles and meat, and the last contained the garnishments. The egg rolls were wrapped with rice paper as opposed to egg noodle paper. They had a good amount of filling made up of pork, shrimp, taro, wood ear mushroom, carrot, and mung bean noodle. The issue was that each one was tiny in size. For a similar price of six dollars for five pieces, I have visited another place where the size was nearly double that of what I received here. A cup of nước chấm (fish sauce) was provided for dipping. Red Boat fish sauce, sugar, chili, and calamansi were the ingredients. As for the chicken noodle soup, the broth was light and fragrant. It was the best component by far. The amount of white chicken meat was decent. I wasn't a fan of the wider noodles which needed a greater amount in the order. Maybe it's because I am just accustomed to thin vermicelli. My takeout experience at Pho Ga Go was at a level between three and four stars.

Tried Pho Ga Go in Mira Mesa and overall it was okay, but not great. The individual servings were sold out, even as you need to order a day in advanced, so we got the family size. There's only so much flavor you can really extract from chicken, and I personally prefer the depth of a traditional beef bone broth. The toppings helped a lot though, especially the ginger spice sauce, which definitely boosted the flavor. Noodles and veggies were fresh and cooked well, so no complaints there. We also ordered the spring rolls, but they were very small for the price, which was a bit disappointing. All in all, it's a decent spot if you're specifically craving chicken pho, but for me it doesn't quite compare to more traditional pho options.

We absolutely love Pho Ga Go! We had been picking up their orders to go for awhile and were so impressed with the overall quality! We recently dined in with them for lunch at their Crab Hut Mira Mesa location and loved it. Excellent service and the food was even better! Highly recommend if you're looking for authentic Vietnamese food!

The food here at Pho Ga Go is FANTASTIC. I have eaten a lot from here and a few examples are Chicken Pho, Chicken Rice, and Vit Tiem noodles. Chicken Pho, the noodles were soft, there were a lot of chicken, the chicken was tender, and the broth was amazing, the flavor of it is exactly like the flavor of traditional Hanoi Pho. Chicken Rice was really good, especially the chicken, which had A LOT of skin on it and is very juicy and soft, and the Canh Cai Ngot (Vietnamese Choy Sum Soup) which was brilliant. The special dish i ate the most recently is the Vit Tiem Noodles. The noodles were soft. The duck was also very very soft, juicy and tender. The addition "toppings" were incredible like the mushroom and ky tu (Goji berries). The service here was very good. The people was very friendly. The atmosphere was fresh. I personally think this is the best Vietnamese restaurant in San Diego and this would stand out a lot when comparing with different Vietnamese restaurants, too.

Service was quick and nice! I got the #3, very light and clean broth Went around 10:30 on a Friday and was not busy

There's been a lot of hype for this restaurant and to me a lot of confusion. I wasn't sure if this place was only pre-order and pick up or you can actually sit down in the restaurant and eat so I was in Vista and had a 30 minute drive to get to the restaurant so I called ahead just to make sure I can get in and if I could actually sit down and eat and take some to go and I was told that I could either order online and pick up as late as 215 or as long as I make it by two I can get an order in and I'll be served so I even told the guy I'll make it there by 1:58 and he told me it's OK I'll be fine and then when I got there, I was created by this Korean popstar looking guy who was like I'm sorry you can't you're late and then proceeded to tell me he was the one who talk to me on the phone when I later was helped by someone else and he told me he spoke to me on the phone and he was glad that I was able to get seated in order food. I specifically even asked for the lemongrass sauté that they sell to go and the Korean popstar told me he doesn't have it but when the guy told me later, finally making me feel welcome to be there. He ordered me a jar to go. So I didn't really have the greatest experience with that part but the soup was really fresh and clean, and I was told that there was only white meat available which I was totally OK with because the meat was super tender and not dry at all, and then they even gave a ginger dipping sauce to go with it. That was unbelievable. The only thing I wasn't too crazy about where the noodles cause they were kind of like the flat ones and not the round ones and I just like the texture of the round ones better and if I was in the area and I felt like eating PHO then I would definitely come back, but I wouldn't go out of my way to drive 30 minutes to come, especially if I knew it was close to closing time because I want my food to stay down instead of feeling like it's sitting at the top of my throat

Shan Xi Magic Kitchen has been on my Yelp Want To Go list ever since my brother and SIL told me…read morethat they really enjoyed a Chinese restaurant in Las Vegas and were told that a similar restaurant existed in San Diego. After their experience in Vegas, they tried Shan Xi themselves and glowingly talked about the delish food there. Today, 3/4s of my fam ate here and we definitely concurred with my brother and SIL's favorable assessment. 4.5 stars because their grub was amazing, but it could be more customer friendly where one of the staff checks to see if we need help ordering instead of ordering from the QR code menu. Shan Xi Magic Kitchen is located in the ultra competitive Convoy Asian District specifically on Convoy Street within the Convoy Village shopping center. The restaurant is next to our fave Asian drink place called Yun Tea, it's next to Olleh KBBQ, next door to Szechuan Chef, and a short walk to BB.Q Chicken. This is a popular strip mall, so it could be challenging for you to find parking. Parking is free for 90 minutes, but you'll have to pay after that time ends. Shan Xi is nice inside with gray brick on their walls, decorative lighting surrounded by rattan, Chinese dolls on a shelf, Chinese inspired figurine art on another wall, and a beautiful curio/screen containing Chinese knick knacks. Seating consists of tables/chairs and a long leather bench. Our servers were friendly, but to me having to order from a QR code is impersonal. I'd rather talk to a person, so that I can ask what they recommend. Plus, if diners aren't familiar with this type of cuisine, I'm sure they would have a bunch of questions. From Shan Xi Magic Kitchen's website, "Bringing the bold flavors of Northwest China to San Diego, Shan'xi Magic Kitchen serves authentic regional specialties. Our restaurants specialize in hand-pulled noodles, savory bread-based dishes, and traditional Chinese comfort food prepared with time-honored techniques." After being told that Shan Xi was similar to their positive dining experience at a different Chinese restaurant in Vegas, my brother and SIL tried Shan Xi and they were impressed by what they ate here and told us that we needed to eat here ourselves. Since my wife and I were off midweek, we invited our son to join us for lunch. We ordered the following dishes and feel free to mimick what we ordered: spicy cumin lamb burger, hand pulled noodle with cumin beef, beef magic fried rice, dry fried green beans, and a side of white rice. My brother and SIL love the lamb burger as a appetizer and we really thought it was tasty too. If you're not a spicy fan, this might not be for you, but the lamb was tender. The pita bread needed to be softer. Their hand pulled noodle with cumin beef was stellar, chewy, and delectable. Loved their beef magic fried rice and it ate really well by itself. The fried green beans were addicting, garlicky, and just yummy. I'm a fan Shan Ci and can't wait to try their other entrees. My brother and SIL were spot on with their positive reviews about Shan Xi Magic Kitchen. It was a blessing to have a spontaneous meet up with 3/4s of my fam and grub on some memorable Chinese food.

My friend had the lychee tea which was very large and looked super refreshing! They also came by often to top off our waters which was nice. To eat, I ordered the $16.99~, Cashew Chicken Stir Fry with White Rice. It came with onion, green onion, carrots, zucchini, bell pepper, and cashews. The carrots were beautifully cut, but a little too crunchy for me to properly enjoy in the stir fry. Everything else was delicious! I think this could definitely be shared between 2-3 people. The restaurant used thin rice noodles, but it didn't clump excessively compared to other restaurants. The prices are what you'd typically see at a Pan-Asian restaurant, a few dollars more than what you'd want to spend. But these kinds of restaurants, in my opinion, are for enjoying with others.
