This place is such a hidden gem. A regular being this size and price is actually insane. Every bite you take has meat in it, I was unable to finish it. My boyfriend got the large and honestly I think that would have satisfied two people, he was unable to finish it. It looked like he barely took a bite. Came here on a whim since my husband and I wanted to try a new to us pho place. We both order the pho dac biet. Portion was large since they only have one size for the dac biet. Not sure if it was the time of day but the broth was pretty salty. That took away from the pho experience for me since I usually enjoy pho broth. TLDR: Not bad, not great but good. I've been coming here for years, and like the name, it's just good. Although Pho Good isn't my favorite pho shop I come to, it's the one I go to late night (the earliest they close is midnight). They're open 7 days a week and even later on weekends! My go to order is Pho Tai Bo Vien (pho with rare sliced brisket and meatballs). Again, it's good, but it won't convince me to break up with my fave spot. And just because because they're not my ultimate favorite, doesn't meant they don't have pros I do enjoy: -great parking. -indoor and outdoor seating. -decent pricing. -not all pho shops have Saté chili oil, they do. It's bomb. -They PACK the meat. They do not skimp on the meat, it's on the verge of being too much, but I appreciate that. Service is neutral, what you would expect from a pho shop - just enough, nothing over the top. Pho restaurants are one of those restaurants you get your order almost right away or within minutes because they really only have to prep the noodle, throw on the toppings you ordered, and then pour in the hot soup. Took awhile to get our four bowls of pho tai chin even when the place wasn't packed. Portion size is great though - for $13, you get a hefty amount of noodles and a lot of meat, however the broth was not rich and my boyfriend and I swear they did not give us thit tai. They gave us a different cut of meat thinking we wouldn't notice the difference or something, but whatever they gave us was too thick and chewy to be thit tai. The meat quality overall was not good. Take the extra 5-10 minutes to drive down Brookhurst and get better quality pho for a $1-2 more. read more

The pho contains a lot of MSG. The special pho bowl only comes with a few pieces of meat, two beef balls cut into sixths, and much less noodles--about half of what they used to serve when the restaurant first opened. I used to eat here regularly. I'm not sure if there has been a change in ownership, but the price of a bowl has gone up while the portion size has been reduced to about half of what it used to be. I ordered a regular Pho Tai Nam Sach which is not on the menu, but I requested the server for it and they said it would be possible. Our food came out in 10 minutes. The portion was great, the meat was delicious, and the broth was rich but a bit oily. I didn't mind the oiliness since everything else made up for it. So good! I ordered a Large Pho with Steak and Tripe, which isn't mentioned in the menu but definitely an option upon request. It was super affordable and came in a surprisingly large bowl! They also give curry leaves alongside the usual basil, spring onion, and lemons. Highly recommend dropping in some curry leaves in the soup for a nice kick! Service was amazing as well! We asked for extra soup and they would swing by to refill utensils and napkins as needed. One small note, they charge $1 fee for bottled water and no water cup or tap water option, so be prepared with your own water. This pho place is located on garden grove and magnolia...almost passing the GG library and before the theater. Parking is extremely limited so it's best to come here at night. If you are fan of Pho, so there's not much to say about it except what's different. There's no yelp check in so you have to walk inside...sign your name and indicate party amount. Inside is very limited seating amount. The place is only known for its pho and that's it. There's like two rice dishes and staple appetizers like egg rolls and spring rolls but that's about it. What's funny is that the pho comes in one size and that's it. Sodas are can. Is the size big? No. It's almost like a regular size pho. Overall, if you want something simple and don't care about portions, then go here.
