Not that impressive. It's your average typical Vietnamese restaurant like the many that exist out there. Didn't feel too safe while ordering to-go food for pick up while in the restaurant, seeing how customers are not seated too far apart from each other. Service is very typical-Asian. AKA - nonchalant, just-doing-my-job type. I'm used to it, so I won't deduct a star, and it does make the restaurant seem more "authentic". Also feels very authentic when it comes to the lower health & cleanliness standards at par with Asian countries. Everything looks like it has MSG in it, and the dipping sauces for the spring rolls & eggrolls also had MSG, so it was hard to find something decent on the menu to order. Spring rolls & egg rolls taste okay. The egg rolls taste a little too greasy though so kinda get sick of it after just one roll unless you eat it with the lettuce. And the leafy greens that came with the egg rolls on the side did not feel too cleanly washed...I think I spotted a small black fruit fly or so on the lettuce... Anyhow, this feels like a typical average Vietnamese restaurant to me. If you're generally okay with that and used to MSG, you'll have no problem dining here. Unfortunately not a good experience. We walked in and there was only one other customer so you would think the service would be good. We ordered the "Luc Lac" and the steak looked like it was boiled instead of sautéed. I ordered somered bean drink but it came with other stuff. It was 80% beans and the drink was sooooooo slimy! I could barely get anything out of the straw. The other ingredients also tasted and smelled like it's spoiled. Needless to say, I just left the drink on the table barely touched. The sad part, once the food arrived, no one came to ask how our order was, if we needed anything else, etc. My husband had to go ask for the check. The staff that greeted us were talking the whole time and didn't pay attention to any of their customers. Also, the music was soooooo loud!! I was going to tell them to lower it but my husband told me just to let it be. Definitely won't be coming back here again. We live in orange county where there's tons of different pho spots, and by far this is most definitely the best. this is always a go-to for me and everytime I come here the food is great. the service is amazing and the food comes out straight away. I've had a lot of pho the last couple days bc it's been raining. Great pho weather! Tonight was disappointing #8 rare brisket steak and tripe. Loved all the meats and noodles but the soup was below average. I asked for extra jalapeños and basil to add some flavor but it didn't do much. Cheaters? Be sure to check your bill. Always. This has happened before. I paid for a dine-in order and an order to go. They gave me the total, and it seemed high. Then I asked for the bill, and they said they'd print it after I paid. So I checked it and there's a $1 to-go fee for each item. Okay, sure, but let me know next time. And they charged me (without asking) an 18% tip on the whole bill (dine and to-go). Who does this? Pho Ha does. They should at least inform the customer before charging them. Just not good practice. I love coming here for lunch. The food is yummy and the service is fast. My favorite is the grilled pork vermicelli salad.

Hands down one of the best Vermicelli I had in a long time. The ingredients were fresh and the fish sauce was one of the best I've had in a long time,imho. The shrimps were nice and fresh and even the egg rolls were also to my liking. Good bun bo hue (you know it's more legit when they have the blood cubes in it) and decent pho. Some of the meats were chewy and tough. On the pricier side than other places I've been to. This is our go to pho spot ... and possibly the best pho in Brea. We've tried many spots but only Pho Ha is consistent in taste and quality. The broth is tasty, the meat is tender and the noodles are perfectly cooked. The interior is clean and we'll maintained, but what I like then most is the outdoor eating space - we were able to consistently eat there even at the height of Covid. During our last visit (after going there for nearly a decade), the wait staff was wildly inattentive to us (and others tables). It seemed like the guy and girl working the front only wanted to flirt with each other. I probably would have given them a pass about that had it not been for the next thing: while cleaning the tables near us after a larger party left, the guy working literally *threw* dishes into the plastic bucket over and over again, making such a racket with the dishes crashing into each other (one even bounced out of the bucket onto the floor), while laughing loudly with his co-worker, the girl, completely clueless that his actions were so loud that they were disturbing patrons - we couldn't carry on a conversation, nor could we ignore the noise, though we tried. We locked eyes with a couple at another table who were also clearly annoyed by the ruckus, and gave each other a look like "what the heck?". This went on for a few minutes (meaning it wasn't just one dish crash, it went on over and over). It was so inconsiderate of us customers. The pho has always been mediocre here at best but we overlooked it because it was conveniently located and the staff was kind. No more doing that, we won't be going back. read more
