It was our first time at Pho House when we stopped in for dinner. They're located in a strip mall which shares parking with Saigon Market. The restaurant wasn't very busy when we entered on Friday night, which was surprising. When we drove by another Vietnamese restaurant less than a block away, there was a line out the door. I ordered the House Special vermicelli bowl. It had a variety of toppings which I enjoyed. My husband ordered the char broiled pork plate with rice. The pork didn't seem char broiled and was more pan fried without any char. Same with the pork on my bowl. The server was nice. There's a lot of competition with newer Vietnamese restaurants in the South Bay. Glad we got to try this one.

I ordered take out via Doordash. Their price from Doordash is the same as in store so this is the best. It was super convenient to pick up. When I came, the food was ready, and packaged. The packaging is normal, and tight. They double bagged the soup in case of spills. They used a tall, thin cup that perfectly snuggles in my car cup holder, preventing it from tipping over during my driving. The soup was hot and flavorful. There were 3 pcs of short ribs. One of the pcs didn't have enough meat so I would say this is equivalent to 2 pcs in other restaurants whose short ribs are bigger. The staff was nice and friendly when I came to pick up. Overall, the $14.99, I like the price very much. My take out comes with utentils, hoisin, and srirachi. The parking here is huge and ample. Overall I would come back for pho.

Food 8.9/10: pho was delicious and the pork was good. They gave me the wrong item for the egg noodle but that is okay because I got to try something new. Service: 10/10: very attentive and kind. Ambiance: nice and clean. Parking: somewhat busy for a 1:00 pm.

There's nothing quite like a comforting bowl of pho and while there are lots of options in the South Bay, few of them stand out like Pho House. I like simple so I typically go with the beef (#2), and iced coffee. Service is always fast and friendly. The couple who are usually there running the place are super sweet. The restaurant itself is clean with indoor and outdoor seating. It's located in a small plaza with plenty of parking. Definitely give this place a try for good pho!

I live in Venice, and have been searching for a great pho spot. Pho House is worth the drive, and we have made it multiple times. My friend always orders the pho combo, and I get the #10 vermicelli bowl. I could honestly eat here nearly every day. If you are in the area, or even if you aren't you should stop by. The staff is awesome, and I love their ice tea and you get free refills. Pho House rule!

My husband and I came here for a casual dinner on a Friday night around 6 pm. Pho House is located in a strip mall in Lawndale, where they have several other Vietnamese businesses and some Peruvian eateries. We were seated immediately when we came in. There were a couple of other diners inside but the restaurant wasn't too busy. I ordered the pho dac biet and my husband had the house special vermicelli. Although they specialize in pho, they still have a good variety of different dishes on the menu including vermicelli and rice dishes. We both enjoyed our food and it was also incredibly cheap. Service was good. The ambiance here is very casual, so it would be a good spot for a quick meal. This place is not far from where we live so we plan to come back whenever we're craving Vietnamese.

We came here on New Year's Day. After being seated, we noticed that there weren't many people working but the place was busy so we were prepared to stay and wait, understanding that they have many orders to fulfill. The service was the best they could do at the time which I appreciate. The food however, was subpar. I read the reviews and brought my parents here since our first choice was closed and had decent expectations which were not met. The noodle dish we ordered came out soggy and mushy with half the noodles cold and half of it warm. It was comparable to badly microwaved leftovers. The pho was okay, with hard noodles and broth lacking flavor. The spring rolls were decent but I wish there was a little more flavor as well. Although reasonable for service to take long as it's a somewhat busy holiday, the food was very disappointing ):

A little mom and pop-type Vietnamese spot tucked away in a small strip mall off of Hawthorne. I came early in the day for a late breakfast. The people were super friendly, smiling and so accommodating. I ordered the Bun Dac Biet (House Special Vermicelli Noodles) which included grilled shrimp, charbroiled pork, egg rolls, bean curd shrimp cake. The beauty about vietnamese food is that it's healthy, light and refreshing, and Pho House made it just right. The meats were all great, but the lettuce, cucumbers, pickled daikon and carrots all tasted so fresh. Major props on the attention to detail with the peanuts and fried shallots (some places would just skimp or neglect these altogether). I also ordered a hot vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. It wasn't the best coffee as there were a few milk curdles (?) after I mixed it, so had to fish those out before drinking it. Otherwise it was okay. All in all, a friendly little vietnamese restaurant with a solid menu of offerings and good food.

The food was amazing and service was great, the food came fast and was satisfying, I will come here more often..

First time here great service but I did find a hair in my food! I was so dissatisfied.

This by far has the best pho in Hawthorne . Service is always impecable and reasonable prices for the amount of food you get. Great portions. We've become regulars here ever since we discovered how good it is . I highly recommend stopping in and getting an excellent meal. Ample parking and plenty of seating inside. My best friend visits quite regularly from San Francisco. We always love doing food crawls around LA and South Bay. Today it was toss up between Pho Daily and here, and we decided on here because of the price. We definitely picked the right spot. Cheap delicious pho for all! The soup was tasty, the meat was well made, and all the veggies were fresh. We went with a Large number 2 and it was enough to have some leftover. We also grabbed the egg rolls and spring rolls, which were both rockstar. The only frustration was the spring rolls only come with a shrimp option, otherwise this was a great stop on our growing lists of restaurants. As for the service, we waited only for the table to be polished, and the wait staff was friendly and accommodating. The location has a clean, minimal set up, and is quite spacious. There aren't any booths so if you are hoping for a more private meal, this may not be the best fit. There is parking just out front, as well as plenty of street space. 8/10 would come back. read more

I loved pho house!! I ordered the set of spring rolls and a large seafood pho. I come here during lunch time and the service is fast and the food is also delicious. The portions are also very large enough for me to take the spring rolls home. I highly recommend this place for lunch outings or to fulfill your craving for some good Vietnamese food!! read more

Some of the best Pho & Vietnamese we've ever had - for sure 100% the best in this part of LA. Also, 100% better than Saigon Dish in this areas: - EXCELLENT customer service. (No waiting for those darn servers like at Saigon Dish!! Seriously whats up with that?) - BETTER taste and quality than Saigon Dish. - BEST Vietnamese I've had. (had the Bun vermicelli noodle - the House dish. BOMB!!) I happened to go in to try when my car was being worked on nearby, and I wanted to instead of Saigon Dish this time. I ordered the house vermicelli and it was pretty bomb. It includes shrimp, fried pork, egg rolls and shrimp cakes. I'm not a huge fan of shrimp cakes but they allowed me to replace it wit any other item, which I chose extra fried pork. Definitely worth the $10! read more

We were in town for the weekend and needed some hot, delicious broth for our major hangover. We found this cute spot and I was very impressed with the cleanliness, even in the restroom, which usually gives you an indication of how the owner/workers practice. I love that the menu was simple and straight to the point, so it didn't take us 5 years to decide what we want. It was very easy to read and really perfect for a quick bite. Very friendly service and the food came out fast which is a major plus! Lastly, the food was DELISH!!! I definitely recommend this place. read more

A lot of my go-to spots have been disappointing lately so I was craving a good bowl of pho - one that really hits the spot and Oh My Pho did just that. The moment we pulled into the parking lot I was like, "I have a good feeling about this place." I walked in and was immediately greeted with a deep aromatic smell of pho in the air. All 3 of us ordered their Pho Combination which has it all: Sliced brisket, sliced eye round, tripe, tendon, meatballs. We also ordered their shaken beef rice platter to share. Before digging into my bowl, I took a long deep smell of the broth as if I was taking the fattest bong rip known to mankind. It only got better from there though because the broth tasted as good as it smelled. Incredibly flavorful. All the flavors were balanced -- salty, sweet, umami. The noodles were cooked almost perfect (I like my noodles very al dente), but the doneness was definitely the kind that would suit everyone's preference. The shaken beef was delicious too. The meat was very tender and they mixed fries in which isn't typical/common, but it was really good! The rice was made perfectly too, at least to my preference. Only (minor) complaints were my bowl not being hot enough which is funny because I like my food cold, but certain things need to be piping hot like noodle soup. Also there wasn't very much meat in the shaken beef dish. Service was great and the staff was very friendly. I'm pretty far from OMP, but will definitely come back again soon with my friends since they're regulars here!

Broth is clean, yet has a lot of depth and soul to its flavor profile. True food enthusiasts can tell that this place takes their craft seriously. It's the kind of pho that really doesn't need Hoisin Sauce or Sriracha, but of course those staples are available to use at each table. Don't sleep on the other items of the menu!! The pork bahn mi, Saigon Fries, egg rolls - everything is spectacular. Their Vietnamese coffee is slept on as well. That beverage, is so delicious and can wake anyone up from the dead. The restaurant itself is spacious and has a couple of TVs to the right of the front counter. I'm kind of bummed I typically have to work during their Happy Hour (15% off your order from 3-5PM). I do however, know that if you call ahead - you can still get HH pricing even if you do pickup vs. dining in. Lastly, I can see how service is a hit or miss to other visitors. To me, there's occasionally a slight language barrier. But I just order slowly and try to remain polite.

The place is spacious and clean, welcoming and (as mentioned above), the staff is very friendly and attentive as well. There is a very large selection of food on the menu, but my daughter and I just got breakfast items. I also ordered one of there seared jalepenos (jalapenos toreados) and I added it to my machaca and, watch out, that gave it a kick but it was loaded with flavor. My daughter got the french toast with the cinnamon sugar and butter and she was in heaven. Muchas Gracias!

The service was smooth and convenient. You can order either at the register or through a kiosk, which I liked since it shows pictures of the food. The kiosk also helped me discover items I didn't notice on the menu board, like the mushroom burger and chili cheese fries, which ended up being great choices. The dining area is on the smaller side with just a few tables, but when we went it wasn't busy at all, so there was plenty of seating. I've always enjoyed their burgers, and this visit was no different.

A small came out to about a little over $6.71 I was slightly surprised since the menu showed a small about a $1 less than that but then I saw that whipped cream was extra. Hmm I'm not a big whipped cream fan and honestly would've skipped it if I knew it was extra. Inspite of the initial sticker shock with slightly higher price, I ended up enjoying my drink. It has a really good pumpkin flavor. It was cool and quite refreshing. It also had a bit of a caffeine kick. The Pumpkin Spice was good and I've got my eye on their Cookie Butter and Fruity Pebbles for a future indulgence.

After my 1st review, I did eventually decide to visit this place again. This is after I expanded my palate a bit more and tried a few more Pho places. I'm sad to say that my opinion of this restaurant did not improve. The base of the soup is very bland in comparison to all other Pho places I've gone to. While the price is cheap and the service is good, I can't get past the bland taste. And lets face it... taste is arguably the most important aspect of any food. Being someone who supports local businesses, I'd still recommend anyone to give this place at least one try. Just don't expect to be impressed by the taste. There is better to be had out there... much better. read more

I came here for lunch and while the food was good, the restaurant itself could definitely use some updates. I ordered pho, which came in a big portion with perfectly cooked noodles and a flavorful broth. The spring rolls were also tasty, and the rice was done just right. However, the service was quite slow, and there were flies buzzing around, which was a bit off-putting. The restaurant could really benefit from some improvements to the environment and faster service. Being Viet from San Jose, having lived in OC for a while, and parents who had a Viet restaurant, I can be pretty picky about my Viet food. I've tried most of the pho places in the South Bay now and can confidently say that this place has the best pho ga. The nem nuong and coffee are on point too. Haven't tried the other menu items yet, but based on the quality of what I had, it's legit enough that I would feel comfortable bringing my family members here vs having to chauffeur them all the way to Little Saigon. read more

I had the pho with filet mignon and it was absolutely delicious! The broth was rich and flavorful, the meat was tender and cooked perfectly, and the portion size was generous. If you're looking for a pho house in lawndale that has great service great employees that make you feel welcome then this is the place to come. Definitely one of my favorite Pho restaurants in the South Bay. Pho House is family operated which to me is the way to go when looking for somewhere to eat. Everything was good for sure. The noodles in the bowl were slightly thicker than vermicelli noodles but overall bbq sandwich and bread were perfect the bowl itself was decent big pieces of lots of goodies! Fast quick service as well. read more

Light eaters might be able to just order one two dish combo and share. The Beef Bulgogi was good but the veggies looked a bit dehydrated. The Eggplant was just okay. The Chicken Dumplings were very tasty but served cool. I ordered them steamed and expected them to be warm at least. The Garlic Noodles with chicken was the biggest disappointment. To me, and my wife, over cooked with crunchy pieces. The chicken was also over cooked, dry and tough. When our server asked how things were, I mentioned it. He didn't seem surprised. I asked if the noodles were always dry and he said yes. He offered to bring more sauce, which he did. I added it but it didn't make the chicken any better. In the end, I left 90% of it. They only have cans of sodas so no refills but they are attached to a tea house that serves a great selection of teas, bobo, etc. There was some good things but more not, overall, we were disappointed. Honestly, I was a bit surprised they didn't offer to replace my dish or offer a small discount. They could see the pile of food I left. Anyway... Anyway, lesson learned, we will sit at the South Bay restaurant next door. I love Banh Cuon which is really hard to find outside of Westminster/Garden Grove but alas, here it is in Hawthorne! It was fantastic. My husband ordered the Pork Rice dish which he enjoyed as well. The Uncke and Auntie that b work here are really nice. This will be in our Viet food rotation. Street parking.
