Chewy chicken. Not edible, very though and dry

Visited on Thursday night, 7pm. My daughter has been sick couple days and hasn't really eaten well and I figured Pho was some needed comfort food. Drove 10 min to get here. Tonight our meal was disappointing the beef flank and meatballs Pho has issues. My daughter said the rice noodles were over cooked and broke apart easily into many bits that was not pleasant to eat. I had the wonton egg noodles with chicken. The chicken was over cooked and chewy, very tough to chew to where I didn't eat it. Also the veggies in soup had broccoli which is not traditionally included in Chinese or Vietnamese wonton soup. Would been better with snow peas or Chinese broccoli. I don't know if it is because we came in close to closing time which is 8:30pm but the quality of the food was not great. Suggest management and kitchen staff to do periodic quality check ob food and ingredients throughout the day. A taste the chicken you would see it was dry and chewy. Plating the rice noodle into bowl you can visibly see it broke easily. Any issues, then don't serve it. We paid $13.95 for each bowl and were not satisfied today.

Got the pho dac biet and fried tofu appetizer. The pho was good, all the meat and broth were on point. But the tofu was actually my favorite part. Portions were big, prices were reasonable. I'm so glad to find this authentic pho place so close to us.

Family came to visit and was craving pho, so we went here since we were in the area. Other pho places were either closed for the holiday or had a long wait, but thankfully they were able to seat us quickly here. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and all of us got C1 (the first type of pho on the menu) which was yummy. My kid especially liked the chicken wings. First time here. I ordered Shrimp Spring rolls and the the Beef Pho. The Pho was a bit salty but had good flavor. The Shrip Spring Roll was fresh but the peanut sauce had a slightly different taste to it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside the restaurant was clean and the staff was professional.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I probably won't go back to this location due to dietary restrictions regarding salt intake.

Vietnamese House Vermicelli noodle ( BUN)

PNH is a reliable local spot serving up Vietnamese and Thai dishes in Placentia. This being said, upon multiple visits here- we skip the beef pho and opt for chicken pho instead paired with the house vermicelli noodle dish. The former has a nice light chicken broth with freshly shredded chicken- not quite authentic pho ga but still tasty nonetheless. The vermicelli noodle is a smorgasbord of meats, seafood and noodle and it seems to all work together. It is interesting because they also serve some Thai dishes here as well- but haven't tried them much at all so I can't report on them. [[HIGHLIGHT]]All in all, this place is a nice option for an affordable bowl of noodles with strip mall ambience and average service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Pho Dac Biet (Combo Beef Noodle Soup), House Special Flat Rice Noodle, and Grilled Pork Spring Rolls

Extremely fast service on a Friday night! We had come from our first stop, Pho Mazing, where we were told that kitchen staff was tight and any item we ordered from the menu would take 30-45 mins. Despite there being available tables, we decided to dip and try out Pho Noodle House instead. First impressions, lots of delivery and pick-up orders from this place even up to 15 minutes before closing, and orders were prepared and gone quick! That led up to the amazing speed at which our food came out - maybe less than 10 mins after we ordered, a serious contrast from what we were promised at the previous location. Of course, with this, there are some things to point out about the food. - Grilled Pork Spring Rolls 7/10: pretty good, no major comments! The pork was slightly different from how I usually like my grilled pork: charred, caramelized, hot, and tender... It was underwhelming, I could tell the pork had been grilled a while ago, it wasn't hot. - Combo Beef Pho 7/10: overall great variety of meats, I was specifically looking for a place that had all of the above in their combos and this came really close to everything I was craving! my biggest comment would be that the soup didn't come out hot, I found my soup becoming rather lukewarm pretty early on. Other than that, the flavor of the broth was pretty classic! Good thing I packed my leftovers so I can warm it up at home - House Special Flat Rice Noodles 6/10: this was a hearty dish - good portion of proteins and veggies, maybe a little harder to find the noodles. Protein was cooked well (chicken, beef, and shrimp), broccoli and carrots maybe slightly undercooked (hard to bite). While the flavor was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed it, we couldn't help but note how the noodles were drenched in oil, sadly... But plus points: this dish was freshly made and piping hot ! Overall, service was pretty good, food was decent. Hopefully the comments above can help the establishment and you - when you visit next time and have an even better experience than I did because of the improvements !!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I loved the simplity of this place. It's in a parking lot with Ralph's and some small shops. Pho Noodle House doesn't stand out but its food sure does.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We arrived a little bit before 6:00PM on a Friday night. There was hardly anyone there, but by 6:30, every table was full with a few people waiting. One thing that really stood out is how fast we got our food! Seriously, it was less than five minutes after we ordered and the quality was great! We had the Pho Combination Beef Noodle Soup. $15.95. It was terrific. Plenty of noodles and ample servings of sliced sirloin. The broth was perfect! Matter of fact, it was so much, I took half of it home, and it was even tastier! That's how good it is. We also had Pad Thai Shrimp. $15,95. Not a lot of shrimp, but it had a nice flavor and the sauce wasn't too heavy and sweet as it pad Thai can tend to be. For appetizers, we had four egg rolls. Nice 'n crispy, but not greasy. Nice! I will certainly go back next time I'm in the area. They also have a lot of takeout orders, so remember them for that, too!

Top spots to eat Pho!!! House special fried rice IS DEFINITELY the BEST !! N if you wanna try a new soup, their Chicken Coconut Soup is probably the BEST!! I love this place so much and the waiter/register guy is fantastic and super nice! He has an amazing memory and will remember what you order and such even after the first day! I always take my two other friends in there and we have a good time eating pho! Took my dad in tonight and had another great experience as always! Charged 16 dollars for a noodle bowl with lemongrass beef + chicken, maybe 6 pieces of each. Lacked flavor and noodles were also less in comparison to bean sprouts and green onion. Unfortunately didn't cut it for me or my family. Their pho is decent, but unfortunately their noodle dish was more than subpar. read more

I want to give my sincere honest opinion. This restaurant is 5 star! Nathan is very sweet and takes good care of his customers. The food is wonderful and the service is exceptional. A go to place to go during lunch or dinner if you want a delicious meal. The chicken pho is very good. read more

The hubs and I wanted to try something new and were in the search for some good pho. Definitely found our new favorite spot. The Broth was extremely flavorful and filling. I got the vegetarian pho and hubby got the combo beef noodle soup. Egg roll was delicious! We ordered takeout and didn't have to wait long. I kid you not my food came out in less than 1 minute after they received my order. I got a small pho ga (chicken pho) $7ish. It looked small but actually filled me up. There were a lot of chicken breast pieces, and the soup was flavorful and light. The only downside was that the soup was not hot, it was warm, and a bit salty. No biggie though. I went in with my son yesterday. From the greeting as we came through the door, to the owner helping us with the extensive menu, I was impressed with the service. I ordered a chicken curry dish and my son got a noodle chicken stir fry. Both dishes were served quickly and pipping hot. The flavor was very good and it was full of fresh veggies and lots of chicken. My son not only ate his but part of mine too! The boba tea was the fun at the end of the meal. Nathan, the owner, asked questions to zero in on our likes and made helpful suggestions. We both were very happy with our drinks. I definitely will be back and I would even bring my Mom who is sensitive to spice and a bit timid to new things. I know with Nathan's guidance we could find something she would love! read more

Ordered seafood pho, It was suppose to be shrimp, crab, squid. But there was no 'Crabs' at all, only Imitated crab/fish cake! I told the owner you should update the menu because what they serve is not a real crab! But then the owner was just keep saying that "that is a real crab, You don't know crab. You don't know crab" until I leave the front door from behind my back. So damn rude and stupid guy. How the person who runs food restaurant don't even know the difference between crab and imitated crab stick?? This owner is so stupid & rude, will never visit again. read more

Great owners super nice! Stopped here for a quick bite and noticed the restaurant name change! My daughters are super picky and they both had changes to their order. One wanted crispy egg noodles with only beef and broccoli and the other egg noodle soup with only meat balls! They got it perfectly! The food came out quickly which was awesome because we were in a hurry! The only suggestion I have is to be more attentive of the guests needing to order and paying. We had to flag him down for both! read more

I have only been to this place once, but I will definitely be going back! On our visit we ordered two bowels of pho and a curry dish. We also ordered a coconut drink that's like a shake or smoothly with boba... it was so good (highly recommended). The customer service was excellent! The employees are so attentive! They gave us a cup of ice for my son's pho since it was a little too hot for him. The price is also very reasonable! This place is located in a nice shopping center. A must try for sure! I can't want to go back for the coconut drink! read more

This place has really good service and really decent pho. When I first found this place, I was frequently coming here to a point where the people here knew what I liked to order- Chicken Pho with Spring roll lunch special. I literally just walk in and they know what I like, even when I stopped going for a while, the moment I came back, I was warmly welcomed. I appreciated that. Service 5/5: Friendly, clean, quick and efficient. Everyone is usually happy here to a point where it's contagious. I like that. Food 5/5: The pho broth is legit and tastes very authentic. Everything that comes out usually is very fresh. Price 5/5: I'm addicted to their pho and spring roll lunch special. It's only $8.50, which is like $0.50 more than other pho places for a sping roll side. Very decent. Tip- they have apple pay and use square. You don't have to calculate what to tip them, you just check off what %. read more

I found this place through yelp l and i don't think I'll be back because customer service should 50/50 with how the food tastes. I walked in and didn't get any greeting although i was one of the 2 customers that walked in. I grabbed the menu that was left on the counter, 2 seconds later he (owner) asked "you want to order?" The owner got annoyed and he showed it just because I asked him this question "what kind of shell do you use for the egg rolls". After I order 2 dishes and looked down to find my wallet and as I looked up, I found this man turned around and prob made faces to the guy that stood across from him and I'm just assuming because why would he laughed for no reason. I was so close to walk-in g out and I can't believed I just spent $16 at this place. Regardless of how the food taste I will not return back. read more

This is my family's go-to spot for amazing food, service, and atmosphere to be able to sit and talk and eat together. We like it so much that we bring our co-workers and visiting family/friends and they've come here to eat whenever they're in the area as well. My usual dish is the Pho Tai and eggrolls, and I could eat it here every day. I usually gauge a Pho place by their basic Pho and broth, and this is one of the best! The portions are generous and the service is un-matched. The broth tastes so good and there is a lot of meat and substance. When my family first started coming here, I'd only come with them maybe once a year since I lived abroad, but Nathan, the owner, remembered my name each time. His kindness and intellect is amazing. I now live in the area and though we do go over to Little Saigon area for other Vietnamese food, coming to Nathan's restaurant is my favorite for Pho. I'm pretty picky with my Pho, and it's pretty amazing that my favorite Pho place is NOT in Little Saigon...it's right here in Placentia! As far as service...I don't think you'll find amazing service like this in any other restaurant big or small. Even during rush hour everyone is well attended to. Nathan the owner comes out to serve and greet and he really makes you feel like VIP every. single. time. We as customers totally take it for granted. I don't know how he does it but him and his staff/management are top notch. read more

I ordered food to be delivered to my dad via Doordash and I'm happy with how quickly it arrived. I ordered 2 pho soups, eggrolls, and house special fried rice. My dad loved everything! Hope to drop by myself one day to try it out but I'm glad I found a place near my dad that I can order delivery for when he is unable to leave his house! read more

It was so-so. Based on so many positive reviews, I decided to give it a try via UberEats delivery. I went with Pho Chin (added tofu and steamed veggies) and hot chicken wings. First off, the noodles were very odd. I have had a lot of pho in my lifetime so I know what rice noodles should taste like. The noodles were STALE. Mushy. And they were even separated from the soup, so you can't even blame it sitting in the soup during the drive here. Yuck. The steamed veggies were maybe blanched for 30 seconds - they taste raw, like as if I just chopped up fresh broccoli. Since I didn't have a microwave (in a hotel), I couldn't add them to my pho at all. Very disappointing. Though I will say, their broth is pretty top notch. Very solid flavor and so, so good. It's too bad the rest of the meal did not complement the broth well. The hot chicken wings were pretty decent - nothing wow about them, but flavorful. Not impressed by this place at all. Perhaps it was an off day. read more

Another update: gave this place another shot since the Coronavirus has made it dreadful to go to grocery stores. Ordered food for my mom and myself and it was ready on time and waiting for me when I arrived. The food was very delicious and the broth had a lot of flavor compared to the last time I visited. Maybe my taste buds were off last time or the recipe has changed, either way everything was great! My favorite place to get pho! Especially it being cold and rainy the past couple of days, it definitely hit the spot. I've never dined in so this would be strictly my review of them through UberEats. Everything gets packed perfectly, no spills. They always give us a good amount of the toppings. Noodles are always cooked to perfection and broth is always nice & hot when we receive the order. I have been coming here for years. In the beginning it was great. Friendly service good food!! We got to know the staff. Then the food quality went way down. Dried out food, the flavors were shot, and the service went down with unfriendly quiet people I'm not even sure if they spoke english.... We have love for this place but get it together over there!!!! read more

First off, let me tell you, there Pho is amazing by far one of the best I have ever had in Orange County and I have been to a lot. I been here several times and even had them deliver to my office several times. Now, last night was 1/19/18, started off with a bad encounter I ordered my normal Pho and my friend she ordered her rice and shrimp and my homie Damien ordered his food, now the food took a long time to get to us and that never happen before, and by the time it got to us it was cold. So, the driver tells me of the situation and says how sorry he is and of course I still tipped Jim because it's not his fault he was stuck in traffic and everything. But, still it took forever and my Pho was cold, now when I called the store was already closed for the night so today 1/20/18 I called and explained to them what happen and they told me not to worry they would send some fresh and new Pho and meals to my house ASAP and for free. Sure enough around 1330 hours they called me and asked me was I home I told them yes and they deliver fresh Pho and food and even gave us extra things. They told us how sorry they were and gave us a $20 criedt for next time. How awesome is this restaurant, their food is amazing and their customer service is amazing. Pad Thai was gross and boring Spring rolls had absolutely no flavor and ONE shrimp per roll Service was horrible We sat down immediately knowing what we wanted after looking at menu at the door, and when the waiter brought our menus we told him we were ready He then walked away, as if to get ready to take our order, but then proceeded to not come back? This is one of my families favorite restaurants. Nathan is always a very gracious host. This time we brought my father who is in town from Alabama. He is never had cuisine like the pho noodle serves. He enjoyed everything that we ordered. My father will put it on his list to return when he comes back to visit. It's nice to take guests to a place that you know they will enjoy and share what we get to enjoy all the time. I want to thank Nathan for continuous, reliable, and consistent food. We love you Nathan and the Pho noodle restaurant and recommend anyone looking for Pho to give it a try. You will not be disappointed and probably will become a regular as my family is. Pho Noodle House is our favorite spot for pho soup. We've been eating here for almost 3 years. I always like to add on the shrimp spring rolls. They have a pretty large menu with a lot of options. We are gluten-free and each time we've ordered the owner has been very patient about how annoying we are with our allergy LOL he also makes lots of really good recommendations so that are able to enjoy a gluten-free meal. When I Uber eats I order from here so I went for dinner. The first time there was a lady and the service was great. Today I went and omg the guy there was so rude it made my whole dining experience so bad. He was so rude and looked so annoyed. I asked for Togo boxes and he didn't look happy about that and then I ask for the check and he gives me the cc machine with no breakdown of my bill. I usually tip 20-30% but I couldn't do it. This place is great! The server Nathan is a really nice guy. My son is allergic to all dairy products so it's always hard to order food for him at restaurant. Nathan was very nice to offer to customize the fried rice for my son w/ no eggs or butter n use tofu n shrimp instead. We always feel very at home whenever eating here. Great customer service n food. This was one of our favorite places however, the service here is getting upsetting. Just asking for a refill for water is a challenge. I really miss the guy who used to work here he was always so accommodating and friendly. The orders are now wrong 70 percent of the time and it's sad I need to find a new local pho house. read more

I soo agree with james e. This place was never good anyway. but i work close by.. so i gave it a second chance being under "new management" ... Its way WORSE .. pho soup tasted pretty much like hot water with a little splash of beef or chicken broth. Totally Gross.. Id much rather go to Saigon noodle house on Kramer. read more

I ordered food for delivery. It came in a timely manner and the broth was hot. The potstickers were not cooked and the basil was old and brown. I asked for no cilantro but there it was, mixed in with everything. There was no hoisin sauce and the meat was disgusting. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

I'm not picky about my pho but I was pleasantly surprised how good the broth was. They are not skimpy on the meat and the tripe. I've been to so many pho places that barely give you any tripe and I love tripe. . I would come back more often if I lived in the area. The owner and waiters are very nice!! read more

We stopped here last minute when we saw the word PHO. This place was some of the best Pho I have ever had. The broth was delicious and fresh. I was referred by a friend to this restaurant. I came here around lunch time and it was packed. I waited for 15 minutes and was promptly seated. The service is exceptional, the pho is delicious, and the ambiance is warm. Will stop by and eat every time I'm in the area. read more

Amazing shrimp pho. The broth is so tasty and full of flavor! The small bowl was plenty, good for the price as well. I got the grilled shrimp rolls for an appetizer, which were yummy as well. Will definitely be coming back here. :) read more
