Decent place for Pho. Not like the homemade Pho I grew up on, but still good after adding healthy dose of hoisin and sriracha. Prices have increased over the past couple of years, still not expensive though. $8 for small rare beef pho. No alcohol served here. read more

The service side needs a bit of refinement, but the food is 5 stars. Small space, but clean and good for takeout or dine in. Menus came right away and it's a simple straightforward deal. We had the shrimp pho, pork bahn mi and the crispy egg rolls (get extra sauce!) and all three were very good. The bahn mi was packed with a crispy perfectly flavored pork filling. Plus good fresh veggies. Soft roll as well. Huge and great value. The only knock on service was some forgetfulness on my sandwich and we overheard some yelling in the kitchen. It's a small space and that was a little weird. We would for sure go back and sample more and bring it home. Not sure if beer and wine are in the mix, but call I guess. PCH between Catalina and Beryl is not exactly the Mecca of Pho restaurants but I was surprised at how tasty the Pho was at Pho PCH. This now officially the closest Pho place to my house beating, out Happy Veggie by about 50 feet. Pho PCH took over from a sandwich shop and made the smart choice of keep the décor in place. While the place is small, the service is friendly and personable. If I had to describe their Pho with one word it would be "Fresh"- fresh ingredients from the broth, to the meats, to the veggies. At $8.99 for the large, it is slightly on the higher end of Pho prices but hey, this is beach town - what would you expect. Next time? I am going to try one of their sandwiches. read more

I had been on a quest for Pho since moving out from the east coast. My Pho experiences were all pretty good in the past, and I think I am a good judge of broth, portion size, and over-all flavor profiles. Knowing this...I was rather impressed with Pho PCH...the shop is small, intimate, and sort of tucked away...it had almost a speak-easy feel about it...I was delighted by the spring rolls and peanut sauce to start...and then my chicken Pho bowl was very good. Not too salty, good portion size of meat and not too fatty either. The veggies were crisp, not terrribly soggy like some Pho places, and it didn't require too much chili paste or sriracha. I like the place and will certainly go back...though I may still search a few other Hermosa/Redondo places for comparison, I can defiintely see Pho PCH becoming a cold day favorite. read more

So I was craving pho after work one day so I stopped in to try their vegetarian pho. I appreciate that it is truly vegetarian pho right down to the broth (since a lot of places will serve it with the meat broth) however, the broth could use a lot more flavor. The bowl itself included bok Chou, carrots, broccoli and sliced fried tofu with plenty of noodles. Overall decent meal, friendly staff and fast service. I was in/out in 30 minutes! read more

I ordered the Pho w/ brisket. It tasted very fresh and was prepared with a very large amount of noodles. The broth was light and thin, somewhat disappointing compared to other Pho restaurants. The amount of brisket was minimal and I did not notice any other fatty "broth meat" in my portion. The spring rolls are excellent and I noticed other customers ordering them as well. I might come back for the spring rolls, but not so much the Pho. Inside, the Pho PCH is clean and all the staff spoke excellent English and were very nice. Eight tables are available for customers, although I missed the lunch crowd. I think I've seen it busy here. read more

I ordered from this place via Uber Eats. I ordered the rare rib eye steak pho with a side of tripe and spring rolls. The pho broth was very tasty! My only gripes were that the rib eye slices were frozen, which caused the broth temperature to drop rapidly and the spring rolls were a bit smaller than expected. Price is reasonable and delivery time was less than 30 minutes. Overall not bad at all. read more

Vietnamese food is always the best on the rainy day. So I decided to try this place given the yelp feedback I've read. Let me start with the positive. The servers are efficient and respectful. Now the food actually tastes good. However, The spring rolls were tiny! So beware that what you're getting for $3.75 per serving is equivalent to one spring roll. The eggroll tasted really good but they do not have mint! When I asked for mint, This server pointed out that they have basil. Huh??? Then on to the bowl of Pho that only comes in one size. It was a jumbo size with five thin slices of chicken breast and noodles drowning in broth for $10.50. I will only go back if I do not feel like driving to the next nearest Vietnamese restaurant.... maybe. read more

My girls tried Pho PCH for the first time tonight. They shared the garlic butter chicken noodles which they said was the best noodles ever and you can really taste the garlic. They also got the egg rolls which were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. All in all these said dinner was amazing and an amazing restaraunt! read more

Very authentic and just good affordable Vietnamese food that hits! We left the restaurant and we are standing around outside because one of my friends ordered a sandwich to go. 10 minutes passed and the waiter comes out and asks who dropped a $100. I've been coming to Saigon Dish for close to three decades. That sentence makes me feel…read moreapproximately 900 years old. I don't even remember when I started coming here. I just remember working nearby when I was younger and Saigon Dish becoming part of the routine. I came constantly. Sometimes practically every day. This was before the larger setup they have now, when the whole operation felt smaller and you got to know the person behind it pretty quickly. That person is John. And before we get into pho, John deserves his paragraph. He is one of those increasingly rare restaurant owners who makes you genuinely happy to hand him your money. In the early days, before I became the longtime regular who mostly gives him shit, I remember him talking me through ingredients. Why he chose something. What I should order. What was good that day. There was an intentionality behind the food that told you somebody was paying attention. And that's the thing I respect most about this place, he never let it go. The restaurant grew. Life moved on. I stopped working nearby. I got older. I brought coworkers. Then friends. My parents. My sisters. Eventually my wife and kids. And the pho is still good. I should establish that I'm obnoxious about pho. I've eaten a lot of it, from tiny places where nobody particularly cares whether you know they exist to polished restaurants charging you for the privilege of sitting underneath an Edison bulb. There are spectacular bowls all over California. So I'm not going to tell you Saigon Dish serves the single greatest pho ever created by mankind. It doesn't need that kind of BS. What it does incredibly well is balance. The broth is clean. That's the word I always come back to. Clean. Deep enough that you know something happened before it reached your bowl, but it doesn't club you over the head with star anise and herbs. And it isn't the sad, watery approximation of pho you sometimes encounter when you wander too far west and somebody has decided broth should taste like hot water that once met a cow. This tastes like pho. The filet mignon is consistently tender and smooth. The tripe is properly cleaned. The tendon is cooked beautifully, soft and gelatinous without disintegrating, which is where tendon should live. The meatballs are surprisingly good. The well done beef can occasionally lean a little dry for my taste, but that's what the bowl of broth and a little sriracha are for. I've also eaten my way through so much of the menu that reconstructing it would require archaeological work. Egg rolls? Get them. Rice dishes? Yep. Noodles? Yep. Vietnamese coffee? Obviously. Coconut drinks? Go for it. I've brought an absurd number of people here over the years and the remarkable thing is how universally the place works. Pho nerds can find something to obsess over, but you can also bring somebody who barely knows Vietnamese food and they'll be completely comfortable. And then there's the operation itself. This isn't some immaculate Beverly Hills dining room designed by a hospitality group. Thank God. It looks like a South Bay Vietnamese restaurant. Every available corner seems to have acquired a purpose. People are moving everywhere. Tables are turning. Someone needs extra onions. Someone wants another bowl. Someone's asking for sriracha. Somebody's kid needs chopsticks. Water appears before you realize you need it. And somehow it flows. That's harder than it looks. Service here has always felt unusually effortless to me. Not performative. Nobody is giving you a TED Talk about the provenance of the bean sprouts. They just take care of you. Parking occasionally becomes its own little hunger game. Don't panic. Circle around, wait a few minutes, somebody will finish their pho and leave. I've written a lot of reviews and I don't throw five stars around because then five stars stop meaning anything. But how exactly do you rate a restaurant you've voluntarily returned to for close to thirty years? At some point consistency becomes the review. I've watched Saigon Dish grow from the little place I remember into what it is today. I've sent coworkers here. Friends. My parents. My sisters. My own family. I've probably eaten enough of John's pho at this point that some measurable percentage of my body belongs to the restaurant. And I'm still coming back.

Another cuisine that was originally a bit on the adventurous side for me, I was taken here by a friend that luckily knew what she was about. Since then, I have returned scores of times! Granted, I always order the same thing: Chicken Pho with spring rolls. Their Thai Iced Tea has lots of cinnamon, so while some may love it, others may hate it. Personally, I like to order it occasionally, as it's a bit of a change up from the usual. Their Chrysanthemum Iced Tea is simple and delicious with a light, refreshing taste. I thought it was funny that the size smaller than "small" is called "Pho Baby". I feel kinda wrong ordering "pho baby" ... I mean, I just feel like eating anyone or anything's baby is wrong. For sure one of the better pho spots in Redondo, they close on Wednesdays which is kind of annoying, just because that always seems to be the day I am craving pho. Their boon is also pretty delicious. I wish they lowered their prices a bit because I feel the quality isn't much better than others in the area its just their location and the fact that the only other pho place is vegetarian only. It is also pretty small, not good if you have more than 4 people. Its size is also probably why the are a little more pricey. Other than those reasons I really like this place and will for sure be back. read more

Came here to get me some bánh mì. I thought the sandwiches were delicious. The meat was non-fatty and very flavorful. Rather then a bunch of little pieces of pork, they had a couple of pretty huge pieces on my sandwich. The vegetables were fresh, and the roll everything set upon was tasty. It's a small place inside but they do take out. If you're into Vietnamese sandwiches I recommend you visit this place. They have loads of other things on the menu that I did not try, however I will at a future visit. read more

THE BEST Pho in the South Bay for sure, and possibly anywhere! Definitely better than anywhere I've tried, even along Hawthorne, Lawndale, etc.. Their prices are very reasonable, service is always friendly. Tiny place, but I'm willing to wait as long as it takes to get my "pho phix" at this place. :-) The egg rolls are great too! Haven't been in years and then just went again today and still amazing. Will be coming more frequently. Always a great sign when you see the workers eating their own food on a break. Who doesn't like a hot bowl of noodle on a chilly day? Living by the beach with plenty of chilly nights, a bowl of hot noodle warms up the belly fast and easy. Their phos are great! Order with some rolls. Prices are a little bit higher than typical pho places, but reasonable for the area. Service can be slow here, especially when its busy - small area.
