Had high expectations for this pho restaurant since they were advertising wagyu quality with wagyu prices, but i was quite disappointed. Pho akaushi does wagyu pho 100x better. The broth here was just alright and the meat quality just tasted like regular pho meats. The only difference i would say is the tenderness of the meat here is soft and easy to eat. I expected the broth and meat to be rich in both texture and taste. The servers were both very friendly, but service was a bit slow. As a regular patron of Pho Redbo, this is my first time coming to their newest location (approx 12 minutes up the road from their original one) and may I say the atmosphere here is spectacular. You are greeted by friendly staff preparing beverages as you walk in and behind is a very spacious and family friendly dining area. This time I had placed a to-go order but I have to come by sometime to sit in. If you have not given this family-owned business a shot yet, I highly encourage you to do so! Love the food but tipping practice is not ideal. You pay the bill at the table with a mobile card reader. Suggested tips begin on the higher end, 18% and up, I think. You do have the option to set custom amount. It takes longer to input. If you pull out your phone to calculate or discuss with the rest of your group, the server is right there. They might say thank you with their mouths at the conclusion of the transaction but they say something else with their eyes. That alone makes me think rethink coming back. Maybe it's no huge loss for the establishment or staff but it is for me. My advice to other diners is to think about it before you ask for the bill. This location is in a pretty big plaza, with a Target and multiple food/snack options. We had no trouble finding parking around 3pm on a Saturday. I definitely think this restaurant is a bit newer to the area, as it was pretty quiet when we came in. Inside is a fresh, modern space! We were able to choose our seats and got our food pretty quickly after ordering - our servers were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Came here with the family for dinner and it was delicious! My teens cleaned their plates and the portions are generous, which is great for budget minded parents. Plenty of seating for families of 4-6 and plenty of open space to move tables together for larger groups. Noise level was perfect, some places are just too loud at the end of the day, so this was nice. Another great Redbo pho place - this time they specialize and only serve Grass Fed meat. Their other location is in Garden Grove which specializes in wagyu. The space in this Westminster location, is more spacious and open. You can see the kitchen from the dining area. Service is wonderful, always checking in on us if we need anything. Since this location is pretty new - you'd hear a lot of questions about the difference of this location compared to the Garden Grove one - which is normal. And the staff was kindly explaining what the difference is. The meat is still very tender and soft. The soup is still tasty and savory, lighter note to it, feel healthier. So it does come to one's preference on the soup - both are still great with same great quality of the meat. Glad that they open another great location. read more

This is the second pho redbo location I've been to, and the quality was about the same. If you've been to another one and aren't sure about this one, go for it! Wow! Me and the Husband were so impressed! It was our 1st time here and the host, server, and manager all stopped by our table to make sure we had everything we needed. Shoutout to that crew! They even shared with us the difference between this location and their Garden Grove location. (HB has grass feed, lean but tasty. GG has waygu). We were the 1st ones in, it was super clean and spacious. They have a couple of TVs on the walls so we where able to catch the Olympics and enjoy our Vietnamese Coffee (PS it's super strong, in a good way, so let the ice dilute a bit). Even though this was our breakfast we couldn't resist but order the sliders to start. Thank goodness we did, they're fire! 3 different flavors, so simple but so delightful. We also ordered the Oxtail Pho (seasonal, so if it's there get it). They gave us the option of thin or thick noodles, we went thin. The oxtail fell off the phone and melted in your mouth. I recently dined at Redbo in Huntington Beach and had a fantastic experience. We were seated immediately, and the service was amazing. Our server, Tran, was very knowledgeable about pho and the entire menu. It was a plus that he mention that the meat here are grass-fed. We tried the peach tea and lychee tea, which were both delicious. The teas came in bottles, allowing us to mix the flavors or share with friends--a nice touch! We ordered the combo pho, and the broth was rich in beef flavor which I believe to be that the meats here are grass-fed that could be so it has a light but rich taste. The meats were well-cooked and very tender. The portion sizes were generous, offering good value for the price. One thing I would change about this place is the way they arrange their sauce because it seen a little unsanitary also it would be easier the customers to use the sauce also they should label it because people wouldn't know if it's either chili oil or Sriracha and to be caution for customers allergy reaction. We loved Silk Noodle Bar and were very sad to see them go, but we had high hopes for Pho Redbo after reading about them. The service was great. Unfortunately, we were disappointed by everything else, especially the food. We tried two different cold teas and both were sickeningly sweet, even watered down. The pho broth was way too salty and the noodles were overcooked to near mush. The rare beef wasn't bad, but it included too much fat. The rib cubes were just nasty - every piece had a thick band of rubbery fat that was impossible to pull off. The brisket was way overcooked and dry, and also had too much chewy fat. I don't care if the meat is grass fed, if it's too gristly and fatty I don't want to eat it! Lastly, while the decor looks nice overall, those trendy metal frame chairs with wooden seats are super uncomfortable to sit on for anything longer than ten minutes! We really wanted to like it here, but unfortunately that's not the case, and don't see ourselves returning. read more

The food at Pho Redbo is the best quality. We were pleasantly surprised by this gem of a restaurant. Don't be confused by the name of the restaurant -- this isn't just another "pho" place. Yes, pho is featured (and excellent), but they have a LOT of other items. I'm not much of a steak eater myself (mostly hamburgers), but the how they've incorporated waygu here is amazing! I never thought to get fried rice with waygu, but it's absolutely one of the best dishes here. I've had waygu sliders at maybe 12-15 other restaurants, but the way they're prepared at Pho Redbo is better than anywhere I've tried. Everything is always cooked perfectly. You should try the peach tea (they make it in-house). Ask for David as your server. Everyone is super-friendly, and extremely nice. After maybe our third trip there in two months, David remembered us, and the the items we like to order. In a time where everywhere else you go customer service lacking, David understands that customer service can help turn a good restaurant into a great one. His attitude is always friendly, and helpful. The table-side waygu appetizer is also delicious (from a person who's not at all a fan of steak). Our friend suggested " let's have our lunch at this new Pho place cause our family been there.." We meet up at Pho Redbo and there was plenty of parking now that Lazy Dog has departed. We were wowed by the modern vibes and were seated toward the rear against the wall. From this vantage point you can actually appreciate the Redbo attention to their patrons. First look of the one page menu confirmed the Pho Redbo offering as a place of Wagyu beef. Scott was his name and he helped us with our selection. We started with an order of 4 crispy eggrolls whch are to be wrapped in a green leaf lettuce and dipped in a thin chili sauce. Yeah it was crunchy and temperature hot. The lovely missus was disappointed not seeing fresh spring rolls for appetizers. Our friend that had urged this place for their pho, chose a favorite Wagyu Fried Rice. It looked mighty great and he did a good job devouring this specialty. The lovely missus has the pho noodles only and added some of the hoisin sauce and beansprouts and Thai basil. My pho experience tells me that for a regular bowl of "dac biet" combo beef for which I typically fork over less then 15 with tip, that this had better be an outstanding pho selection. The broth had that sweet star anise flavor and the 4 meats included thin sliced steak and quartered beef meatballs. No tripe or tendons in this pho, but I think I detected oxtail chunks. It was a fine pho with toppings of beansprouts and Thai basil and jalapeño slices for heat. No sauces to add as I like the taste of the pho just fine. What then was missing? I use the chop sticks to eat and the spoon to drink the broth in the traditional way of slurping thin rice noodles and taking in the sweet broth. As I wrap this up, Pho Redbo makes a good pho and perhaps my vision of pho was in line with old school places such as "54, "79, "82 and "101..... But, me as a pho lover, can now add this Pho Redbo to the list as one you must experience. read more

We were traveling from the Bay Area and happened to stumble upon this Pho restaurant after shopping at Target and decided to give it a try. The restaurant itself was nicely decorated and had ample seating. Waiters were friendly and we were greeted and seated right away. The special touch was free Pho for kids under 5. That's such an amazing value as I don't know of any restaurant that offers this deal. My husband ordered the regular Pho with rare steak and I went the non traditional route and ordered Pho with Shrimp. The Pho broth was rich and flavorful and piping hot! They had onions, bean sprouts, lime slices, basil leaves to dress your Pho with as well. The meat portions that came with the Pho were very generous. I couldn't believe my shrimp Pho came with 6 large pieces. We also had the passion fruit tea and Vietnamese ice coffee; both were excellent as well. We came here late at 4pm on a Saturday and it wasnt busy at all. There was already a few parties scattered around the large building l. It was out first time trying pho redbo and the food was really good and they give good portion size. Our server I believe his name was Michael provided excellent server. He explained the menu to us proficiently as it was our first time, and gave good reccomendations. He was very accommodating and checked with our tables and made sure we weren't missing anything. 4 1/2 Stars! Beautiful location near Bella Terra. I tried the rare steak Pho large bowl. I didn't know it came with Australian Wagyu beef, til I asked the waiter. This raised my expectations, and it delivered. The meat was tender, much like Filet, but had that great steak flavor. I threw in all the veg, and scooped 4 servings of their house made chili oil. One sip in I knew I was in for a treat. I needed that burn to wake me up today and clear my sinuses. I do wish the noodle portion was a bit larger hence the 1/2 star reduction.
