I used to frequent the location on Spring Mountain several years ago, but this was my first time here. I stopped by on a weekend around noon, and there were only 2 others inside. The place started to fill up closer to 1pm. I ordered the fried eggrolls to start. They were good, but I did wish it came with more lettuce. I had the bun bo hue instead of my usual pho for my entrée. Sadly, the veggies they gave me was for pho (rather than the usual shredded cabbage). Let me tell you how ecstatic i am that this location re-opened and is under new management! This is mine and my husband's go to pho place in the whole Las Vegas area! It's family owned and they served such delicious food! I wouldn't go anywhere else but Pho Saigon 8! Since the new management, the place seemed to be a lot brighter, friendlier and more inviting. The staff are great, attentive and welcoming! We always order the Pho tai, Lemongrass beef with rice, Fresh Spring rolls, Banh Xeo and of course the ice coffee! I and my husband went there and we had 2 bowl noodles and later order another noodle to go for other people and ask for separate receipt but they didn't separate the receipt and also charged me15% tips for to go food. Pho Saigon 8 is the go to place when we're wanting good wholesome pho. We haven't been disappointed by the quality and freshness of their dishes yet. The menu has a wide variety of dishes that will satisfy one and all (unless you're not into Vietnamese cuisine). The location at Rainbow is a bit taxing to get your n an out, but with careful planning it negotiable. The staff is friendly and does their best to make even the most novice of diners understand the menu. If there was a down side, which in minute, is how their rewards program works. Pho Saigon 8 on Rainbow is now open for dine in! I felt very comfortable as they have closed every other table so you aren't near anyone else eating. They provide you water in plastic cups and all sauces are prepackaged. The chopsticks are wrapped in plastic as well. All staff members were wearing gloves and masks. This is my go-to pho spot when I'm in the southwest area of vegas and don't want to make the trek all the way to Chinatown. I've never had any issues with parking or getting seated right away. I usually get a bowl of pho, bun bo hue, or the spring rolls. I've tried both types of spring rolls and liked them both. They're probably my favorite dish from this restaurant. The portion sizes are great, huge selection of dishes, the staff is fast and friendly, and the quality is very consistent. I've been a repeat customer and haven't been disappointed any of the times that I've gone. It's not mom's home Viet cooking, but it definitely gets the job done. The tripe and rare beef pho is my standard whenever I try out new places. The broth was not too fatty and had good flavor. I personally thought it was a solid 3.5 stars. It's hard when you've tried some really good pho in Garden Grove, CA, and in Vegas, most pho places do not compare. But, I enjoyed my dish. Was super hungry and was craving some hot Pho and found this place a little ways away from the shopping areas. It was nice and clean inside, greeted right when arriving and seated promptly. A few minutes later they had my fresh squeeze limeade. Ordered Pho #16 (eye round steak and brisket) and the spring rolls. This was my first since social distancing started and I really wanted some of their yummy Vietnamese food, so I stopped by for lunch. To enforce the social distancing, the dining room seating is very limited and I did have to wait about 10 minutes for a table. However, once I was seated, they took my order quickly and the food came out hot and fresh in a short amount of time. Everything tasted great! The drinks were served in disposable cups and the soda was from a can. After the food was delivered, service was a little less attentive that I preferred, however, I was still able to get to-go containers to take home the food. Payment was made up front rather than through the server at the table. Out of all the Pho spots in the Southwest area, Rainbow/215, I'd choose Pho Saigon 8 rather than Jenni Pho or Pho Annie. Main reasons is their fast and friendly customer service. The prices are reasonable. We've been here multiple times and they are prompt with serving water(s) while you take a look at what you want to order. Never have we felt rushed or impatiently waiting for service. The restaurant is large enough to cater to large groups. They have a couple big screen TV's around with the sports channel on. Go Knights Go! My usual order is No. 11 (noodle with rare eye round) in a small. Broth is good. Can't forget to add Hoisin sauce and Siracha chili to give it some kick. It is located in the plaza accross the street from Walmart on 215/Rainbow. 2 of my friends kept telling me to try this restaurant and I am sooo glad I finally did. It looks like the have 3 other locations in town. My favorite items to get from here are the vegetable spring rolls-fresh and sooo delicious and veggie pho with beef broth (and no I am not a vegetarian). I dig. Pho Saigon 8 was one of my favorites driving to Chinatown. I was happy to learn that it opened on restaurant road (rainbow blvd) and close to the 215 exit. It looks like they even take online orders which it seems like lots of places are doing it. Welcome to the technology world! The pho tai itself was decent. I like my pho broth to be savory and not sweet so this broth met its criteria. The egg rolls on the other hand were too peppery. Overall I think the pho is decent and service was ok (it wasn't during any meal rushes). I like pho because generally it's fast enough so that with two kids in tow it's not a long wait. If you're on rainbow boulevard, don't blink or you'll miss this place. Definitely a pleasant surprise for us as we stop for a last-minute eat on New Year's Eve. We arrived around 7 PM placed an order, and had our food out within a 10 minute period. I had the beef Pho, My Wife had the chicken Pho, and my children had the eggrolls. The eggrolls were so good that we had to place a second order. Lucky for us as they close at 8 PM for New Years. The staff came around to ask for last call orders. Spoke to the manager on the way out, he asked us how our food was, and then advised us that they were going to be opening a new location over by Southpoint in April. I love that this place is open late. On my recent visit I was stopping by for take out. The employee at the register was friendly, patient, and eager to make suggestions. After I ordered they even offered me iced water in a to-go cup while I wait. I ordered pho among other things and it was well packaged and I had no spills in the car. We came to pick up a to-go order but were turned away because they say they did not have an order. A gentlemen who says his name is Lam says they did not have our order and did not do anything else other than tell us to call the website they ordered from and said there is nothing he can do. The funds have been taken out of my accounts and Lam, who was very curt, indicated that this is something I need to take up with the website - which is their website. This is the 3rd time we have had trouble with this location. Earlier interactions included uncooked, raw wontons for the soup. Even after that I gave them another shot as I'm a supporter of small businesses. Unfortunately even with receipts and pointing to the website, Lam was simply not very-customer friendly. I tried asking for the owner's name after which he said it was him, and he would not provide a last name nor provide any substantiation. It felt very unkind. I want to be supportive of this local spot, but this was unfortunately our experience for the third time. Shame on me for trying to give this place many chances. Will never order from here again and discourage others as well. No place whose service was as unfortunate as this, is ever worth another visit. read more
