Walk in, take a seat, and the staff will magically appear with a menu and water. Pho, appetizers, sandwiches, and other options. Definitely something for everyone. A relaxed dining atmosphere perfect for small and large groups. You can enjoy a game, have a drink, or sit and enjoy company and conversation. Vegan review- there is plenty of space as this restaurant is in a strip of other businesses. We were instantly greeted and asked to sit where we pleased. The dining area is pretty standard, not much decoration. It didn't sale long to get our orders placed, either. It did take a while to get our food, but it's understandable. I got the vegan pho in mushroom broth. It wasn't the best but it was a meal to have. It was just a little plain to the taste, nothing exciting about it. There weren't many vegetables or a variety of vegetables, it was like they just cut them and threw them in at the last minute. I really only eat pho at Hinodeya, and don't try any other places, this place would rank at maybe 4th out of 4 that I have been to. I also got the spring rolls and that was a really great appetizer! The sauce was amazing! I really won't be back as there are other pho places that I like better in Dallas. It was fine though.

Very welcoming and attentive staff. Food was really good. Had the vermicelli with chicken and pork combo. Loved how tasty the pork was. The place has a bar and screens, so my first thought was it is a great option to come enjoy sports and a beer without going to an actual bar alone. Liked the vibe.

With not many authentic Vietnamese restaurants in the medical district, pho vietz hits the craving when you're in this area. The pho is pretty standard, broth can be a little bit more on the bland side. Still always a good order tho! The banh mi are great, and I always get a few extra to-go. Sometimes during crawfish season, they also offer seafood boil! A bit spicy and light on the weight, but the flavors are good. The thai tea and Vietnamese coffee are also delicious. Worth a stop if you're in the area!

Place is very friendly. The service was fast and restrooms were very clean. I got the chicken pho and was enjoying it until a piece of metal slightly cut my mouth. When seeing this, I told the waiter and they gave me a free sprite and a brand new pho.... Well, the second brand new pho I got also had a piece of metal! My appetite was ruined and I do not see me going back there. The waiter apologized and said it was the noddle machine. Still. I could have chocked on the piece of metal.

The only VIET place I go to since it's in town. Everything else will be a drive. I been wanting the pork chop rice and all several counts they do not have it on the menu, not sure why. The Pho Bo tastes different but it wasn't bad. Was feeling soupy for the cold weather. The egg roll did not disappoint! It was fresh and good. They changed their location across from Krogers to Nate's Seafood, assuming same owner.

Love the new spot! Pho Vietz serves your traditional Vietnamese food as well as Cajun seafood fusion! We ordered the special pho, bun Bo hue, charbroiled oysters, egg rolls and beef salad. The special pho came with a huge rib bone and was absolutely delicious -- not sure why I forgot to take pics!!!! Bun Bo hue was delicious too- The portions of meat in both dishes were fantastic!! Highly recommend the beef salad as a delicious refreshing appetizer, along with charbroiled oyster that came in a sizzling skillet! Eggrolls were delish too!

I'm from Houston, so I'm not sure what the pho scene in DFW is like, but based off of this experience, I feel very spoiled. I'm pretty critical because I have consistent perfection back home. If you're a casual pho eater, this place is good enough. The service was nice, and the broth and portions are good. Now for my criticisms: I don't eat at pho places that use eye of round beef because I think it's a horrible cut that's dry, thin, and unpleasant to chew. So I only go to places that use "rare steak" or filet mignon meat (it sounds bougie, but it's not uncommon in Houston and not more expensive at all). I saw that this place used "rare beef" and just assumed they meant "rare steak" because I've never seen any restaurant say "rare beef" lol well, they use eye of round. So I guess "rare beef" was accurate. I haven't had eye of round pho in probably over a decade and it's just as I remember it, unfortunately. And for the beef rib, it was good and fatty, but was hard to get off the bone. I don't feel like I got enough meat off of it to justify the cost, but it made up for the eye of round, I guess. For a pho restaurant, their pho options are shockingly limited. The pho bo only had 3 types of meat. Where's the well-done flank, skirt flank, tendon, and tripe? The selection of meat is the smallest I've ever seen for a restaurant that has pho in the name. The sriracha and hoisin sauce at our table were basically out. We had to get some from another table. Our table didn't have napkins, also had to get them from another table. Our table didn't have any spoons either. Got 'em from another table. They were out of Thai tea and Vietnamese coffee during lunch on a Saturday. And the server dropped our check off early without us asking for it, if you care about that. Now for the pricing, wow. Is it because of the area? Why is it so expensive? I can get a perfect bowl of pho in Houston for under $14. It's only a few dollars, but in the world of pho, with so many competitors providing essentially the same product, a few dollars makes a huge difference. And considering what Pho Vietz is providing, a large bowl here should be $12, not $16.

The place is great! Good food, good service and it's quick! The beef pho was pretty tasty tho but the vegetable one was lacking a bit in flavor and it was smaller. Adding a little sauce the vegetable one helps if you're restricted to it. The spring rolls and peanut sauce were great. Other than that it's a solid place to go eat. More of a quick turnover place but it's chill.

The food was very good! I really enjoyed the banh mi. It had everything, the crunch and the flavor was all there. It was delicious. The pho was good, the broth was on the sweeter side, but it was still beefy. The oil makes it more sweet, recommend not adding unless you like your pho sweet. The bun bo hue was good, I try replacing the thick noodle for the pho noodle, but they gave me the thin noodle. It was still good, just preferred the pho noodles. They do add a lot of meat to the pho and the bun bo hue. The chicken was crispy and good, it taste a lot better with the sauce. Definitely the sauce makes it a lot better. The services was good, it did took a while for the food to come out, we were the only group there until a couple came in. The location and ambiance was nice, it was small and seem like a good place to go on a date.

Great place to get Pho. My friend got the pho special, while I got the standard large pho. It was wonderfully delicious. The waiter was quick and efficient. Made sure our drinks were filled. The food came out quickly too. I enjoyed the ambiance. It was clean, and I enjoyed how they have the handwashing station set up.

The menu offers a variety of authentic Vietnamese dishes, with their pho being a absolute standout. The broth was flavorful and well balanced, Meat was tender and juicy . The servers are knowledgeable about the MENU and make you feel comfortable and welcome . However, one area that could use improvement is the decor . Definitely be back to try the banh mi . read more

From the setting, staff, and food, Pho Vietz is simply the best Vietnamese restaurant in Dallas! Superb!!! I'm so happy to finally have a pho spot near by because the traffic to Richardson is wild. The menu is super straightforward and simple. Just great food & $4 beers. I had the pho bo special which comes with beef rib, tons of brisket, steak, 5 meatballs, & lots of noodles. The portions are very large and the broth is so flavorful even on its own. Even the BASIL is gorgeous and flawless. The nicest I've seen at any pho restaurant and one of my favorite accompaniments to pho. I'm glad I found this place especially with that trash pho I purchased recently at LaVui 2 blocks up. Pho Vietz has 4x the meat AND 4x the flavor AND it's actually worth the $17 because it's truly two meals in one. (Large no rib is $15, regular no rib is only $12). I also threw away the other pho but ate every drop of the pho at Pho Vietz. The owner also owns Sapporo on Inwood, so you know this place is top notch. I will be back. read more

In town for work. Needed something to bring back to the hotel. This place is great! Went with the regular beef, asked for half noodles and extra bean sprouts....got it in two portion packs! Server recommended egg rolls that were great. Even got an extra to go styro bowl to heat up the broth in the Room's micro. *Biz travelers know what Im talking about. YES YES YES. This location is brand new, the staff is impeccable (very friendly and personable), and the food was amazing. Their prices are fair and finally some good Vietnamese food in the Oak Lawn/Uptown area. The owners own another nearby pho restaurant and were looking to expand. No frills interior but still charming. I don't want "Instagram food"- I want real good, authentic food and this place delivered. Give them a try!!! read more

It was still the soft opening when we went. No Thai tea on the menu at the time sadly but they have most of the other staples. Tried the regular pho and egg rolls. Good portion, decent taste. We stopped by for dinner on a Saturday around 7:30pm. The inside was very clean. The servers were attentive. The food came out quickly. The PHO Bo was AMAZING! The broth was flavorful and seasoned perfectly with a large amount of meatballs and brisket. The meat was very tender and fresh. 10/10 the best PHO I've had in awhile. What a great new spot for pho! I got the pho ba special and it did not disappoint. Really good and flavorful broth. I was impressed with the amount of meat that came with the soup - the bone in brisket was delicious. Definitely worth the visit just for that. Service was great and very friendly. Food was out fast. The restaurant itself is clean and aesthetic. Left full and happy! I'll be back to try their rice plates and will recommend the spot to friends in the area! read more

What's not to like about large boiling bowl of your favorite beef proteins, floating in a liquid furnace of immaculate broth? This will for certain warm you to the bone all the while leaving you with a large warm smile and a full belly. You'll go home put your feet up and pass out, like the strenuous aftermath of an intense orgasm. You'll need to make this place a stop on your bucket list for Pho. I'm so happy this restaurant opened up in this area because it's definitely the best pho you can get in this part of the city. The portions are super filling, the broth had body and is very flavorful, and they provide a lot of meat. I also love that they provide chili oil instead of just sriracha. That's how you know it's at least a decent pho restaurant. Don't usually post reviews but this place deserves more recognition. read more

This review is based on a single take-out order. I ordered a grilled chicken spring roll appetizer, which came with two rolls. It was good and the peanut dipping sauce was tasty. Very umami. I also ordered a egg noodle stir fry with chicken in a brown sauce. This was just okay. Not terrible, but not wildly impressive either. I'm not well versed enough in Vietnamese cuisine to appropriately judge how this entrée would hold up to the competition, but for me it seemed to have a very different flavor profile than what I was unconsciously expecting (probably comparing it too much to Thai or Chinese cuisine, tbh). There was decent portion in a flavorful umami brown sauce with some broccoli, cauliflower, and some onions. The chicken was lightly breaded, but it was kind of tough and chewy. It definitely was less sweet than most dishes you get at Thai or Chinese places, but that can definitely be a good thing. I think the sauce had a generous portion of black pepper in it, as well -- or so it seemed to me. I didn't use the bathrooms or inspect the dining room, so I didn't notice things like cleanliness or décor all that too much. What I did notice about the décor is that is wasn't very urbane, so I don't think this will ever turn into some hip place to hang out at. Pho was good enough- the chicken was disappointing, it had not been cooked in the broth and was dry, cold, flavorless. If I went back, I'd probably get the vegetable pho. There was no spring roll option without pork, and the pork honestly just brought down the roll. Shrimp fried rice was good nothing special. Overall, I think there are plenty of other restaurants doing each of these dishes better for the same price. Service was quick though! read more

I had two seasonal signatures that were perfect summer refreshers. My first was a pineapple rum cocktail called Lewis Street Daiquiri. The second was a very creative spin on a Negroni made with tequila instead of gin. Lewis Street Daiquiri uses a pineapple rum combined with Yuzu Kosho cordial. A yuzu kosho cordial is a sweet, syrup flavored with yuzu citrus and a spicy Japanese chili paste.It's a creative way bartenders add sweetness, acidity, and a spicy kick to recipes. It definitely had all of that along with a bit of a sour feel to it with some light froth from some vigorous shaking. It's really tasty. The second cocktail is JuJu's Negroni. I've never seen a tequila Negroni variation. They use a Blanco tequila, JuJu's coffee, Pamplemousse (grapefruit), and coconut. JuJu is a local East Dallas coffee shop around the corner from MHB. I love the local touch to use a neighbor's ingredient. I cant remember why is has a red tint given the ingredients, but it must be the combination of the coffee and grapefruit liqueur. I think i remember them saying they clarified some combination of the ingredients, but i cant remember. Regardless, it was delicious ams you should definitely try it. You don't need an excuse to go to MHB because it's one of the best restaurants in Dallas and is Michelin recommended. I would go@back for both of these cocktails like we do for the world famous garlic noodles. Go try these beauties and visit our hood because it's one of the best joints we have to offer in Dallas. Unfortunately, everything else was a struggle from the moment we walked in. We didn't have reservations, but eventually found seats at the bar. Given how busy the place was, we figured the bar would mean faster, more attentive service. We were very wrong. We ordered two beers, a non-alcoholic drink, and three appetizers. The drinks arrived, and the appetizers followed about 10 minutes later -- fine so far. But there were no utensils. We had to ask for them, and we asked for plates as well, which never came. The empty dishes from our appetizers sat in front of us for a solid hour with no one clearing them. The bartender who took our order never once checked on us. With 3-4 people working behind the bar, only one server approached us during the entire 40-minute wait between appetizers and dinner to ask if we needed anything. The bartender told us twice that our food was "coming out shortly" -- and still, 40 minutes passed. When dinner finally arrived, my order was wrong. I ordered the Mongolian Short Rib, listed clearly under the Entree section of the menu. The bartender claimed I had ordered off a "happy hour" menu -- one I never saw or was told about -- and had swapped it for BBQ Pork Ribs without saying a word. Knowing a replacement could take another hour, my friend swapped plates with me and took the ribs. He had ordered the steak frites, which, for a rare steak, should have taken no more than 5-6 minutes to prepare. The third entree, fish and chips, was just okay -- a bit soggy and not particularly fresh. To top it all off, after everything we dealt with, the bartender never asked how our meal was or if we needed anything else. The food has potential, but the service was inattentive, disorganized, and frankly unacceptable for a busy restaurant that should know better.
