This place has a wonderful patio on a main "lake" in McCormick Ranch. A nice active area. We had a burger and a fish taco. The fish taco was fresh tasty hot and large. Really good. We always enjoyed taking our guests from out of town to Phoenix Beer and sit outside looking at the water and having dinner. Not so much this past Thursday. Once we got seated it took 15 minutes for someone to stop by the table and take our order. We started with ordering four beers and 20 minutes later they showed up. Never saw our waiter again for 30 minutes. Finally walked inside to get my check and pay so we could go somewhere else and eat. They lost revenue from BAD service! Had such a great experience at Phx beer Co.. My family and I went there the other night and right as we walked in everyone was very warm and welcoming. Along with the great staff and ambience of the restaurant, every beer that we had was excellent along with some of the cocktails we got. I highly recommend if you're ever in the area. read more

Food servers touching the same patio door handle that the 30 people on the patio had touched. I brought it up to the manager and his response was, "I'm going to end this conversation now". My husband is an ICU doctor and we know first hand that this is going to get bad with practices like this. We regret spending so much money there over the past 6 months. I should've got up and walked out as soon as I sat down and was served a glass of water with pink lipstick all around the rim. But I didn't. I then proceeded to receive my avocado BLT sandwich with wilted browned lettuce which I didn't notice until halfway through. Now unfortunately I have severe food poisoning. Excellent new addition to the neighborhood. Friendly staff that goes out of their way to help. Excellent management as well, Justin the manager is on top of everything and if I had a restaurant I would want this guy to run it for sure. Great beer and food selections as well as a killer patio right on the lake with great views in a very relaxing atmosphere. Have a daily happy hour with drink and food specials. Rich, Music had nothing to do with the noise level. The noise was from the inability of the room to absorb crowd sounds. Those tables that we were buried at in the rear of the restaurant are like a giant sound tunnel. Terrible. Try sitting there yourself and I bet you don't last five minutes. read more

I decided to give this place a try tonight for a birthday dinner. The menu looked good with a lot of options. I ordered the chicken wings. Smoked with salt and pepper. They weren't smoked, the amount of salt was extreme, they were drier than nun, and the first plate I had (before sending them back) had black spots on at least half of the wings. The server said they were grilled. Even if they were it didn't look like grill marks. Some of the flesh/meat was black underneath the the skin. Maybe the wings were frozen and thawed? IDK but I eat wings once a week and these wings were not good. read more

Wish a side green salad was an option bs fries or coleslaw. For the COVID critics in previous posts... there was social distancing and masks have been deemed by WHO and the New England Journal of Medicine as ineffective. We searched for a brewery in the area after a children's event and found PhxBeer. In a lovely old Scottsdale neighborhood and surprisingly had a lake view. All the tables have a great view. The beers were yummy. The food was good quality. Service was very friendly and quick. At around 3pm was not too busy time to get a bite with the kids and we all enjoyed the ambience and meal. read more

This is literally 5 minute walk from my home and my family and I are so happy this place opened!!! We have been here already 4 times and have tried a variety of items. The outside patio is great! Plenty of seating, great views and fun music. My dogs like coming with us too! The staff loves dogs and give them lots of attention. The grilled Romaine salad is my favorite thing on the menu so far. Perfect homemade dressing! The steak was not our favorite. A bit flavorless and overcooked. Loved the pretzel bites with cheese fondue. The bbq meatballs were good but I doubt I will order them again. The nachos were really good but only if you like them spicy! The pepper jack gives it a kick. The wings were good. I will definitely be ordering the salmon blt again. It was really tasty! There are still plenty of items to try and I'm sure with this being our neighborhood casual place to go we will end up trying them all over time. We went in last night to check this place out. I am a big fan of bars with good food so hey lets give it a shot. The location is interesting and can be missed pretty easily. They have a great big sign but there location is a little bit behind it and there isn't any signage near the door that helped us out. We were greeted and seated right away. Super friendly staff. The inside of the restaurant is nice and homey. Great decor. The only thing I couldn't figure out were the tables we sat at. I'm not sure if I was imagining it or not but I think the table was plastic. Interesting choice. I got the Bison Burger and the person I was with got the regular cheeseburger with some chill's and bacon added. My burger was good. A bit plain. The real issue here for me was the goat cheese. I am not sure if I am just ignorant to goat cheese, have an unrefined and simple palette OR if it was actually as bad as I thought it was. I am not exaggerating when I say it was one of the worst things I have ever tasted and I actually ended up eating the burger without the bottom bun on. Again this could totally be me and I am willing to accept my own ignorance on goat cheese. The person I was with also tasted it and really didn't like it. The waffles fries were good. Service would good. I just couldn't get passed that goat cheese. Not sure if I will head back but still a good place for everyone else to try and see if they find something they like. read more

Initially visited this location Labor Day weekend. They were very busy, but we got service quickly. My friends had wings and they smelled amazing and hey stated that they were delicious. Me and another friend ordered a margarita and mine was one of the best I've had in a long time. A little pricy at $10 during happy hr. We went back last evening and this is why the 5 stars. Me and my friend came in late, around 9:30...they close at 10 pm. Collin the bartender was great. No one made us feel bad for coming in late...it was my birthday and we weren't ready to call it a night yet. There was another couple at the bar too. Collin made us another great margarita and chatted with us about the new place and their bourbon line. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and appreciated the staff and their hospitality. read more

I have been to this location a few times since they opened, and the food is consistently tasty. The pretzel bites honestly steal the show every time...carbs and beer cheese? Yes please! I always like to order the pizza because their pepperonis are super crispy, and I like to have leftovers. The pimento grilled cheese, guajillo wings, and Reuben are a few of my other favorite items. Finally this place is open! Been riding my bike past it for months trying to wonder what it would be, and yesterday we could finally check it out. There is no signage or anything with its name on it.... you will only see what the place is called once you get to the door. We got there around 5pm on Sunday and place was pretty full inside. Outside seating area was empty despite the BREATHTAKING view. Music inside was good, service was ok. Young hostess was friendly and prompt. There was also a lady (maybe the owner, or the manager?) micromanaging the hostess to an extreme, which is was kind of rude to the poor girl. Our server was friendly but didn't do an exceptional job selling us on the menu and options. I mean, its a new place, she should be excited about showing us what they've got. I asked her what was good there and she suggested the wings and the Caesar salad. (?) Ok then. Me and my man are not beer specialist but we sure found our likes and dislikes by ordering two different beer flights ($8 for 4 small glasses, good price). Beer was cold, and so was the room. HOLY MOLY, IT WAS COLD. So cold we moved outside after a while, so did the folks next to us, so did the people behind us. Server said they are still trying to figure out the ideal room temp. One thing I know for sure, that wasn't ideal. We were there just to check the place out so we just ordered the wings, so did other folks in the community table. They were good and crispy, buffalo sauce is a bit spicier than normal but they were EXTREMALY salty. Everyone agreed on that. Not bad wings, just extra salty. Did they blow my mind? No. Will I be back? Yes. They deserve a second chance, maybe next time we'll get more food and the room won't be so cold. We went to PHX Beer for happy hour. The ambiance in this new place is fabulous. We sat on the patio. Service was spot on, including servers moving the umbrellas around as needed for protection from the sun. During happy hour glasses of wine are $3 off. We ordered the cast iron pizza to share. It was nice and crispy, which is how I like it. The regular menu prices looked very reasonable, we will definitely return, perhaps for brunch on Sunday. read more

The service was really good for our party of 8! Some at our party liked their food but it wasn't talked about much. My son got the Reuben sandwich and took one bite and did not like it at all. My nachos were very delicious . My husband couldn't eat his 3 meat burger and ordered it medium rare but got it well done instead. The tri tip and brisket on it was over cooked and hard. It was not very good and could not finish it. He helped me with our nachos . My son got a similar burger but it too was over cooked. Now the waitress was great and kept up on all our orders and needs quickly. So perhaps the kitchen just needs a little help but the service was great! read more

I was really impressed by the menu here. Lunch and brunch options, both healthy and hearty. From kale salads and avocado toast to pizza and pimento cheese sandwiches, the selection should please all. Great beer selection, with full bar. The patio is a hidden gem! Large with great views. Heat lamps and misters to make this a year round spot. I stopped in for happy hour earlier this week and had a nice time. Fortunately I was able to get a good parking spot because this center can get really busy with all the other restaurants. PHX Beer has a great location facing the lake and the patio will be fantastic when the weather cools down. I sat at the bar and the service was attentive and friendly. The bartender was knowledgeable about all the beers. The first beer I had was the Monsoon IPA which was a little disappointing because it came in a small glass (because it was 7% ABV) and was a little thin in body and bitterness. I liked the Orange Grove IPA better and the Morenci copper ale was nice. I think my favorite part was the 10" happy hour sausage pizza for $10. The crust was fluffy, there was a good amount of tasty sausage and it was large enough to take a few pieces home. Overall PHX Beer is a good neighborhood beer, pizza, sports bar (plenty of TVs) and patio type of place. read more

Took even longer to order an appetizer which took 20 minutes to receive, I assume the server forgot to put it in. There's just a lack of urgency and caring about what your customer may need. I got the strawberry salad and it was pretty tasty, but after almost finishing it, it became too sweet with the caramelized pecans and the strawberries and the sweet dressing.
