PHX Beer Company is a very relaxing environment, with a huge selection of brews! The service was excellent and the server gave several recommendations! I would highly recommend it! My first experience here is very pleasant and positive. The water view is a plus! Ordered a flight of Bird City, Lemon bite, AZ Gold and Far Beyond. Bird City and Far Beyond have been my favorites and Lemon bite the least because of its lemonade like taste. Also ordered fish taco from happy hour menu and liked it. I did not try the food per se because I was already in a food coma from the food festival taking place just around the corner. But i can talk about the service, the view and the experience... And I can truly say, it was great! My friends loved their meals. They both had chicken. About that though.... At the beginning I personally thought it was fish because of the coating but they were happy with it, so that gets all the points. Now, let's talk about the view! Wowza. The lake just across from it makes all the difference. We enjoyed one of the most beautiful sunsets and after all was done at the restaurant we had our 'walk in the park' Always cool to go for a nice walk with friends. So disappointing ordered 1 drink & waited 20 minutes for waitress to come back. I know they are busy but then more staff needs to be brought in. Saw even managers walk by our table & as our menus were nicely placed at the end of our table, still no response from anyone. Very frustrating Waited an additional 30 minutes for our food, ordered soup & chicken strips. Couldn't get anyone to refill my soda. My soup came out, it's a tortilla soup tasted more like stew- actually tasted pretty good but the avocados they sliced were thin & brown. PHOENIX Beer Company was our second stop during Arizona Restaurant Week. I don't think we would have ever found this restaurant without the event! Arriving shortly before noon on Father's Day, the restaurant was slowly starting to fill up. We appreciated that the employees require masks to enter the restaurant. We chose a table on the patio although at times we regretted the decision as the outdoor misters could have been slightly stronger. What we ordered: Grilled Romaine Salad: Shaved parmesan, lemon-anchovy dressing, garlic croutons. An odd choice. The grilling of the romaine brings out a unique flavor, but on a 108-degree day, this was not the refreshing salad that I was looking for. Salt & Pepper Wings: Two chicken drumsticks and three wings. Small and dry without much flavor. The accompanying lemon wedge did help zest them up a bit, but I think ordering a set of wings with sauce would have been a better choice. Ale House Fried Chicken: Orange Grove IPA-brined chicken breast, mashed red bliss potatoes, corn on the cob. Huge portion! The mashed potatoes were a real winner. Unfortunately, the chicken was somewhat salty and we didn't finish the whole thing. BBQ Bison Burger: I don't blame the burger as much as I do myself for ordering bison. The patty just seemed dry and didn't look appetizing. The generous side of waffle fries was delectable! I asked for the Arizona Gunslinger hot sauce which really helped spice it up! Bourbon & Blonde Bread Pudding: Yum! Gorgeous presentation of fresh strawberries and cream. It tasted so fresh. Unlike all the other heavy dishes that had accompanied the meal, this just seemed so spot-on for summer! Iron Horse Porter Brownie: Ghiradelli chocolate, gelato, chocolate, and caramel sauces. Delicious! The brownie is simply perfect. Beer Flight with accompanying bacon slices: IPA w/ Black Pepper Bacon; Monsoon w/ Jalapeno Bacon; Morenci Copper w/candied bacon; Lemon Bite with Applewood Smoked Bacon. To me, the IPA was the real winner! Cool and crisp! The Morenci Copper was interesting but I can't imagine ever drinking an entire glass of it. However, the accompanying candied bacon was SO good!!! The outdoor patio area was gorgeous with a view of the river. I would love to come back at night and see it lit up. The team working in the outdoor area was constantly busy, but efficient. We did have some issues when the bill arrived. While the set menu included a beer flight, our waitress just decided that we wanted the Father's Day one which cost an extra $10? She did apologize and make amends, but it kind of marred the point of coming. I would come back here, but I would likely order different entrees. So much about the experience works, but the menu choices need to be revisited. read more

The food is excellent and the beer was good too. I had the southern fried chicken slider which was a different take on chicken it was made with corn meal very tasty. Atmosphere was good I had a salty dog which was mediocre to me it's a different spin on the salty dog not my fav but it wasn't bad either. Illinois native here. PHX Beer was the perfect spot to replenish some fluids after our hike up Camelback Mountain. This girl needed a beer stat! Of course I'm trying the Arizona Gold IPA, and it hit the spot! My husband had the strawberry margarita and it was perfectly done. We ordered one of their black Iron Pizzas, The Brew Master Pizza has all the ingredients a meat lover craves, yum!!! Nothing better than a delicious pizza and beer... except there's more! I love love love wings and I promise if you love wings too you won't be disappointed with the Guajillo Chile ones, could eat them all day. I'm so happy we came here while in AZ...and will do it again!! Our server was very lovely and welcoming. Thank you Kamalani for taking care of us. Hopefully we will be back before we leave for home. 5 stars for atmosphere. Great music and view. Awesome selection of beer and wine (though we didn't taste any at lunch). I give it 3 star because the food was just ok. I had the salmon BLT and the hubs had the Rueben. Both sandwiches (obviously), but the bread was WAY TO HARD! The salmon flavor had some delicious sauce on it (I love my sauces), but the avocado was out of place that was on the sandwich. I have a love of avocados so I can't believe I'm saying that. The view of the water is awesome and they have one of the bank doors that slides open for winter! I will definitely come back. The guys next to us had a pizza and I almost reached over and grabbed a pice! It looked SOOOOOO GOOD!!!! I'm hoping next time I go, the stars go up to 5. I will say our waitress and the whole staff were very attentive and awesome. I'm sure they will iron this all out. read more

Decided to check this place out for Friday afternoon Hoppy Hour since it's so close to my work and it didn't disappoint. They have some good specials until 6pm and I was able to taste test a few beers before picking one, which is a big deal to me, especially when I've never had their beers before. We sat on their patio, which overlooks the small lake and it was really nice. I ordered a beer and the nachos and the nachos were so delicious! Only downfall was the amount of jalapeños because I'm a wimp so I should have said no jalapeños but overall very yummy and a huge portion! This was a great experience with great food so I will definitely be back! read more

The kitchen was only open until 8pm and we sat down at 7:32 pm. It was all the time we needed. We came to try the wings because we had seen a quite a few good comments about them. We ordered the salt and pepper wings and the gaujillo chili version. They were very crispy without having a breading so that was good for lower carb folks... However the flavor was OK, not great so it seems that perhaps the Phoenix and Scottsdale area is not big on wings because we're having a hard time finding wings as good as we get in the Chicago area. The salt and pepper were pretty salty as expected with good smoke flavor, although I'm not sure the charred lemon added that much to it. The Guajillo chili wings had a little bit of spice but overall the flavor just didn't wow me whatsoever. Since the menu only has a couple of salads that could be made low-carb and the rest of it is sandwiches, pizzas, and absolutely no light beer in bottles - they only serve what they brew - we probably will not return. read more

We have been wanting to try PHX Beer Co for months - the patio always looked very fun. In dining at PHX Beer Co tonight, the food was horrendous...hardly edible. We ordered pork tacos - the pork was almost entirely fat. So gross. The little meat there was to eat was so bland you didn't even want to waste the calories. The condiments had zero flavor (and they don't give you enough for more than one taco) and were significantly lacking. We also ordered skillet Mac and cheese - like the pork tacos, it had nearly zero flavor. In addition, there are two umbrellas for the entire patio so plan to be baked in the sun during your entire meal. Has anyone told the owners that umbrellas are $40? Sad to write this review - but 100% do not recommend this restaurant - don't waste your money - your money is better spent on a restaurant that wants to create good food for their customers. read more

So my son and I stopped in for lunch on his birthday. It's on the green belt and a place we tried once before while on our bike ride. We were greeted pretty nicely as the place was only a little busy and told to sit wherever you like. There were several choices so we close to sit by the window, but was then asked to move a few minutes later so we agreed. We were then just ignored and forgotten. Several people were soon sat and served. We could only watch as everytime we would ask if we were going to be helped they said yes but never returned. Frustrating for sure. I only wish I knew they did not like serving father and son couples. When they are really slow this is not thr case but I do not recommend going there unless the staff has nothing better to do. read more

First time trying PHX Beer and I have to say, I was not impressed on multiple levels. We came to the restaurant around noon on a Saturday, and not too many people were there. It took over 20 minutes for a wait staff to take our drink orders and the Pomona Sunrise wasn't that great and the Arizona Gold also didn't have much flavor. My husband got the Alehouse Cheese Burger and he rated it a 5/10. I tried it and it was well done, which he ordered medium and had no flavor. I got the Super Food Salad and the chicken was overdone and had no taste. The Brussel Sprouts were extremely chewy and also had no flavor and the dressing was vinegar tasting. The 2 stars is for the view. read more

The beer was exceptional, with an offering that I found completely unique and interesting. Service was very good. The food selection varies from your typical pub food to a few unique items. I had a grilled salad which was fun and interesting. The only downside is that either the dressing or the salmon with it was VERY salty. Been excited about finally getting over to PHX BEER CO. Arrived to try, and even though it's hot out, the misters and fans kept us comfortable on the patio. First thing we noticed was the nasty upholstery on the outdoor furniture-the hostess did offer some blankets to cover it, but still.... Server was none too friendly and got us two of their beers too try. Neither of us were impressed. Food was blah-not bad, but not good either. Fish taco, burger, pretzel bites- all just mediocre. For the hefty price tag for bar food, not great service, and blah beers, this will not be a place we return. read more

Went for an early-ish dinner here a couple days ago with our friends and had great food, delicious beer, wonderful service and a super nice view outside with the man made lake and walking paths. I had the Rueben and the Morenci Copper Ale. I liked the beer so much I plan to pick up a growler next time I make a run. The Rueben was pretty good but my wife let me eat a bit of her pulled pork sandwich (apparently made with that aforementioned delicious Amber) and I know what I am ordering next time. Delicious... we got an order of boneless wings as well. I don't normally eat wings but they were great. We ended it all off with the boiling brownie in a skillet. My food coma completed we talked for a bit and enjoyed the great setting. Wound up taking a walk with my wife along the lake as the sun was setting which was a nice way to end the evening. The prices are pretty reasonable as well. Every one of the staff we interacted with from the hostess to our server were enjoyable happy people that took great care of our needs. I'd totally recommend getting food, drinks or both here. We will definitely return soon! read more

First time trying this place. Let's begin with the good, love the location and the facility is beautiful my designed and has nice views of the lake. The patio is spacious and creates a very relaxing vibe. You might have a little difficulty locating the restaurant because it is in the back for the complex and signage is a little hard to spot. Now to the food, I did try the chips queso and salsa for an appetizer and it was pretty good, especially the queso. I paired the app with a Arizona Gold, which was crisp and delicious. Now, I really wanted to like this place overall but I had to give it 3 stars because I never got to the entree part. Our server was just too busy for us and we felt ignored half the time. We didn't order anymore food because we had sat there so long that we decided to go elsewhere. I always love like to give places second chances because I realize that sometimes people have bad days. My son, husband & I decided to grab some lunch after our afternoon at the Boardwalk. We had the best services and food. I've been wanting to try this place for awhile and we lucked out today. I had the wings they were really good my husband had a chicken sandwich of some kind with bacon, the waffle fries had a nice spicy seasoning. 2 stars because the place is filthy. Table was disgusting and had a "reserved" sign on it. Hopefully it's reserved for "cleaning." The bases of tables and floors were covered in food crumbs and gross. The floors needed a serious sweeping. Went to use the men's restroom and it appears they had a pissing contest on the walls around the urinal, but no points were scored for making it in the urinal. Absolutely gross. Call me I work in the Jan San industry, I'll train you how to properly clean floors, restrooms, tables, etc. Beer is great, service too. Food was pretty good. Smoked wings were excellent, preferred over fried. Chips n salsa was a super small portion for being an appetizer. That size should be given at each table like a Mexican food restaurant. I had the Ruben sandwich. Add a side of the thousand island dressing and I'd give 5 stars for it. It's perfectly toasted, the meat was great, but I needed something to dip it in. Fate holds the best in the valley, hands down. My wife had the pizza and their sauce is awesome.
