Baked Macaroni and Cheese, Baked Chicken, Okra, Soft Roll
    Joshelyn ..

My mother wanted to come here since she kept saying she wanted a full meal, whatever that means, and welp, we got it. The place is pretty quiet even during the time we went which was late lunch, so around 1pm. The establishment is clean and still has that "vintage" in your Grandmama's house feel. The crowd was older but hey, it's Piccadilly so that's sort of the norm and expected. My food was ok. I got baked chicken and didn't realize she was going to put the half chicken and not the leg quarter on my plate. I wasn't asked and I didn't look on the glass where the labels were either to specify which I wanted. Not complaining in the end because it was more than enough for me to take home for later. The flavor of the chicken was delicious, tender, and fall of the bone. The okra was great too considering most places can't get okra right with its consistency and all. Now the macaroni was disappointing; the noodles were way too soft yet my mother ate all of her food and didn't have any complaints about anything other than she wishes there was Peach Cobbler instead of the Apple Cobbler which she didn't know until after it was placed on her tray. The Apple Cobbler was delicious I must say, cold in temperature yet still good. The service was great, from the line to our waitress, no complaints. Affordability is about mid-range. It was about $32 for the both of us. Basic place to eat. I just went cause my mom likes this place. Not bad though, just not my thing.

I loved Piccadilly as a child when I would visit often with my Mom and Cousin on Saturday trips to the Augusta Mall, and this recent visit was a sheer reminder of that. I love me a good cafeteria with delicious Southern delights. I got the fried catfish, grilled vegetables, cabbage, mac and cheese, and cornbread muffin. I had to get a slice of the red velvet cake, but I couldn't finish it all. I took the rest of it home. The food is good, traditional Southern Cafeteria food which is reasonably priced and some of the favorites. They do have takeout and dine-in. I dine-in in a socially distances way, and they have labeling on the tables to ensure which ones to skip. They have a large dining room. Stop in to enjoy this good hometown favorite in Marietta.

I use to enjoy eating at Piccadilly, but lately the food hasn't been good. The chicken tasted like it had been sitting in heat for a long time. The mac n cheese isn't good. I won't be eating there anytime soon.

Piccadilly brings back childhood memories, but this one was not a pleasant experience. I ordered the fried fish plate with fried okra and turnips. My guest ordered the fried chicken (breast and wing) with Mac n cheese and cabbage. The food was COLD. The only thing that was hot was my fried okra because they made it fresh when I ordered. The food was also incredibly bland. No seasoning whatsoever. I will say that the staff were all very friendly. But this was $21.18 that went to waste.

I hate coming here simply bc they are so incredibly UNFRIENDLY! My family likes eating the carrot souflè as a side for Thanksgiving dinner. I ordered last year through catering like I do every year...(last year was also a disaster...at this same location) anyway, I've called and called and called obnoxiously so, to place my order but they would not pick up. So I was forced to drive here and the cashier acted like I was such a huge inconvenience and pointed me to go over there and there's only one manager here. Oh and she handed me a piece of paper for the catering order. I only had ONE item though. But she wouldn't talk to me long enough to discuss this. I waited for the manager to come to me, he did not greet me, just walked up exasperated and said "you have an order?" Well I do but I'd like to talk to you about it first. Apparently there's a freezer behind me with frozen boxes full of these and I had no idea it was done this way now. He just pointed to the freezer and said oh you just need that, it's behind you. He told me one quart is good for 5 people (of course I had to ask this bc otherwise he's just staring at me like I'm a fool. I dont come here on a regular basis, OFFER HELP, OFFER ASSISTANCE, OFFER COMMUNICATION TO YOUR CUSTOMERS, BE NICE and not act like I'm a nuisance and inconvenience to be purchasing something from your store! Also didn't thank me...

Im like, "what flavor???.... "Purple?...." I had never heard of that at a restaurant, and quiet frankly, that's all I needed to know. At this point, I literally go nowhere else for soul food. If you're in Marietta and craving some truly divine soul food, you have to stop by The Manna House…read more I ordered the catfish with mac 'n cheese, collard greens, and cornbread, and let me just say, this meal was worth every extra minute it took to get off I-75. Let's start with the catfish: perfectly crispy on the outside, flaky and tender on the inside, and seasoned like somebody's grandma whispered the recipe in the chef's ear. Honestly, it was so good I almost asked for another plate just in case I missed something the first time. This is a 10/10, no notes kind of dish. Now, the collard greens? Whew! These greens deserve their own standing ovation. They were hands-down the best I've ever had--an 11/10, slap-yo-mama, text-everyone-you-know level of good. Perfectly seasoned, just the right amount of smokiness, and with a flavor that'll make you question every other batch of collards you've ever eaten. The mac 'n cheese was solid--cheesy and definitely satisfying. The cornbread? Sweet, moist, and the perfect sidekick to all the rich flavors on the plate. Everything was served hot and fresh, and the service was as warm as the food. The only catch (besides that incredible catfish)? It's a bit of a drive from the highway, so plan accordingly if you're popping in for lunch. But trust me, The Manna House is worth every minute of the detour. Just go ahead and clear your schedule--you'll want to savor every bite.

The children's options are a great value if you have a little one. My only concern is that when we went in on our first go, I know that I ordered French toast for my child. When the waitress brought out our food, my child had pancakes. When I brought the error to her attention, she seemed rather quick to say I was wrong about this. I let it slide because we're not going to have a giant argument in a restaurant with wait staff over a small infraction like this. I get the feeling that our waitress may have an issue with accountability and would've continued to argue had I not given her an easy way out and said "It's ok, we will settle for this. Don't worry about it." She responded by offering to bring out some French toast anyway, which was kind, but flat out telling your customers that they're wrong is maybe not the best way to go about this to have a healthy, trusting relationship. My husband even confirmed that I had ordered what I said I ordered afterward. Maybe some staff training regarding approaching situations like this would be appreciated, such as having wait staff confirm orders once the entire table has started their orders prior to transferring orders to the kitchen would help eliminate this issue. Please know that we did return the next day because the food was great and they got our order correct the next morning. Yay!
