Definitely refer this beautiful inviting Italian restaurant ! The pasta is the best in my opinion in Beverly Hills ! A variety of sauces ( gravies to a jersey gal )... and pasta all service from Martina was excellent -- truly Italiana -- and wonderful every which way you can think of ! It's popular outdoor or indoors ! I had chicken paillard and we shared two different pastas as appetizers --capellini tossed with oil and garlic ( fresh ) and penne arrabiata - and let me say it's the best ! My husband had the New York strip with arugula and it was perfection . A tad pricey but all worth it . The ambiance and decor is perfect . I'll be returning here soon ! We were five of us and we all thought it was wonderful ! Go see for yourself !

Service was incredible, food was amazing. I was so pleased with dinner I 100% would go back. All the food tasted incredible, and our service was great! Our waiter was perfect, let us enjoy our meal and had amazing service. The vibe inside was great, I must go back.

Ambiance: it's a traditional Italian bar restaurant located on Beverly drive, valet or street parking, it's packed and crowded inside, and a covered patio along the street outside Service: overall fine, a bit rushed when placing the order, and no introduction to their menu at all, refilled water adequately Food: classic Italian dishes, house-made bread and pasta Bread - *** it's a bit dry, still tasty with olive oil and vinegar, not complementary, $1.50 surcharge per person TAGLIOLINI VERDI CON CARCIOFI - **** Green tagliolini, baby artichoke, garlic and parmesan cheese, simple and tasty flavor, recommend RISOTTO ALLA VENEZIANA - *** Carnaroli rice, squid ink, calamari, shrimp and clams, very light taste, seafood was cooked well, clams were gritty Price: moderate portions and slightly overpriced for the quality but understandable for the location, expect $40~$50 per person

All dishes ordered were excellent! Enjoyed asparagus soup, fried calamari, carbonara and tagliata steak. Were seated promptly on a Tuesday evening although we didn't have reservations. Perfect ambiance. Nice Italian music playing but not too loud where you can't have a conversation. Servers were consistently on top of everything.

Our family favorite! We always come here to have our family dinners! Table size is always 12 plus and Service is always the best and food is so good! And they are kid friendly which is hard to find! My favorite is the calamari fritti for appetizer, Linguini Alle Vongole for my entree and for dessert the panna cotta and Crostata Di Banane E Nutella Caramelized so so good!! Love this place!

We came across this spot bc the wait for honor bar was crazy long. There was no wait and we were seated right away. It is a bit pricey. My friend and I split two things: calamari and the fettuccine Bolognese (forgot to take a picture) and it was the right amount for the two of us. I didn't feel bloated/heavy after the meal. Decent service.

No one is going to get a bad meal here. The Pasta Marinara was outstanding with homemade Penne and homemade Marinara. ($25) You won't get better anywhere else. The Salmon was very good, not the best I have had--but very good. ($35) The White Fish was excellent and so were the veggies that came with it. ($35) The Apple Tort was very good. ($14) Service was Okay. They are efficient and attentive but you don't get the feeling that you are a valued customer here. The woman at the Valet stand ($14) was nicest person at the restaurant and she probably does not work for the restaurant. Table bread could be improved. (Bread Cost: $1.50 pp) If you can't tell by the menu--this is an expensive fine dining restaurant. Expect around $65 to 75 per person with T & T with Appetizer, 2 Mains, 2 Drinks. I do like the atmosphere here, but from a value perspective it's 4 of 5. From just a food perspective 4.5 of 5. From a service perspective 3 of 5. Go if you budget can handle it--there is no reason not to. Get the pasta.

    really good

I mean, the restaurant is really good even though the service and the food! all the service is Italian the environment looks so romantic

From the moment we stepped onto the patio, we were captivated by its charm, despite the occasional traffic interruptions. The impeccable service we received throughout the evening truly enhanced our dining adventure. Now, onto the star of the show--the food. The tasting menu surpassed all expectations. Every dish, from the heavenly homemade ravioli to the divine tiramisu and cannoli, was a culinary masterpiece. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, expertly crafted and executed with precision. Grazie Mille !

Honestly, it worked out perfectly because they had AC and it was HOT in Beverly Hills that day lol. The inside of the restaurant was actually really beautiful too! I loved the decor and the vibe felt way nicer indoors. Looking back, we probably should've just asked to sit inside instead of outside because of the heat The food was oh so so so very good! Everyone in our group enjoyed everything we ordered, from the appetizers all the way to dessert. HIGHLIGHT of our lunch: my husband and I surprised my mother-in-law with a bouquet of pink roses, so we asked the hostess if they could keep it in their cooler room until the end of lunch. After dessert, they brought the flowers out for us and my mother-in-law was so surprised and happy It honestly made the whole celebration feel extra special. There are other locations but this I think was the first one and since it was the one I frequented it's the one I will miss. I have so many fond memories of this restaurant. I came here as a little girl with my family because it was casual enough for a well mannered child but fancy enough to please the adults. One time I decided to get into shape. Every time someone asked me out for lunch or dinner I said I wanted to go to Il Fornaio. I would order a bowl of the vegetable soup or vegetarian soup of the day and the Regina Salad. The salad did wild arugula, couscous, avocado, red onions, capers, raisins, and lemon oil dressing. It was a fabulous and filling meal that also kept me skinny. I could honestly eat it every day and never get bored. During Covid I came here and we ate outside on the sidewalk. We enjoyed watching the pedestrian scene and "staying safe" while being able to eat out again. I really missed going out and I felt comfortable here which was important during Covid time. Every Halloween Il Fornaio would have 1/2 price pizza. My family made a tradition to order it. I LOVED this tradition and I'm going to miss it this Halloween. Their pizza was delicious. One time I came here with a boyfriend because they had a cooking class in the back. They had a huge entertainment room in the back of the restaurant. I wish I had a chance to have a special event here to rent it out. We had so much fun as we watched the chef talk about how to prepare each dish and what was even better is that we got to taste it in the end. We ate seabass with golden raisins, baked pasta with eggplant, and a cannoli for dessert. They even had a party souvenir which was an Il Fornaio plate to hang on the wall. Last time I came here was on the Fourth of July last year. It was also dine-la and they had the best deal of any of the dine-la restaurants. Not all the dine-la deals are good but this one truly was one of the best in terms of value for money. It was a three course meal with the most delicious fish entree. Who doesn't love a good deal? We had a fabulous time! Lastly, in recent years they added a happy hour menu to the restaurant and it was fabulous. I did another review on that so I'll keep it short here but the food and drinks were just wonderful. I will miss the friendly waiters who have been there forever. They don't make them like that anymore. Arrivederci to a true "classic"!

The menu is inviting with plenty of great options without being overwhelming. Less is more. But let's talk art (culinary, that is). The dishes certainly deserve main features. To start "the best Caesar salad in LA" and I quote which was certainly true. Grilled octopus charred on the inside and juicy at the center. Spicy pomodoro is perfectly al dente and a well-balanced sauce. But, my favorite-- the agnolotti! Wow, melt in your mouth! The flavor profiles of corn, crème fraiche, and old bay were delicious. My only wish -- larger serving of this (smallest pasta serving on the menu). To complete it, banana pudding tiramisu -- delicious too with a firm center and oozy outside. Atala was wonderful and very sweet. Recommendation: come with a group of at least 4 to try more on the menu -- the large plates (branzino and ribeye) looked excellent! Definitely a worthwhile visit.

Straightforward dishes presented with panache. Efficient and timely check-in and friendly service. Both times, we sat at the counter which, to me, is the best way to experience this place. This visit was pretty much exactly the same, except it lacked its original luster. A perfect example is their signature dish, the spicy pomodoro. The visual presentation of this dish used to be eye candy. A glistening and generous pool of basil oil neatly poured into a hollowed out dollop of ricotta, atop a mound of impeccably dressed and perfectly cooked pasta. Gorgeous. But this time all of the visual proportions were off. And the portion was smaller. Instead of being a showstopper, the dish looked a little sad compared to the original. Last night, it arrived with a tiny splash of basil oil that punctuated a smallish schmear of dense ricotta. The pasta was fine. But it wasn't at all spicy and it did not feel the least bit elevated. In other words, this dish has lost its mojo. We also ordered the pasta special. Short rib raviolis. It was rich and delicious. No complaints. Only praise. The service is still casual yet professional, and best of all, pleasant and accommodating. The new raw bar across the way is a bit of a scene, in a good way, and kind of clubby...with really good air conditioning. Last night it was pretty hot outside, and more-so inside the restaurant at the counter. It's especially hot if you happen to get seated by the heat lamps (food warmers). I know, crazy, right? But we did it! You'd think just having the Porterhouse would be enough -- apparently it wasn't because we started with bread. At our server's recommendation we chose the bruschetta. Wow, what a fantastic start! The crunchy charred bread topped with the creamy Burrata and house made apricot jam was beyond delicious! Then he asked for his favorite pasta from our last visit -- SPAGHETTI ALL'ARRABBIATA. We can never get tired of this one. The house made pasta coated in that spicy sauce is so satisfying. Then came the steak. Although our server warned us that it was huge, we were still surprised when it arrived. But then came the included sides of fried fingerling potatoes and Ruchetta salad -- to say 'generous portions' is an understatement. I literally laughed at the mountain of salad when it arrived. It was all just incredible. The Prime Porterhouse was at the correct temperature, seasoned well and melt in your mouth amazing. The fried potatoes were hot, crisp and tasty. The salad was so good that the husband ate it -- I couldn't believe it! I tapped out early and in order to leave room for dessert, I had to force the husband to stop. We chose the CROSTATA DI MARMELLATA because of the apricots. We were so happy to have dined while they're in season and incorporated into Mother Wolf's menu. We were then surprised with complimentary sorbet (NETTARINA) and gelato (VANIGLIA) for our birthdays. Beautifully presented, the sweetness of each dessert was perfectly balanced and a wonderful end to a fantastic dinner. And this goes without saying -- service was impeccable.
