This place is awesome!! Service, food, wine and ambiance are all spot on. This place will make your palate happy and stomach on point! I ordered a 1997 red and 2001 red, both of which blew my mind! You need to listen to the waiters suggestions, especially if you get Patrick! He was on point! For apps, we got ravioli burrata and spinach ravioli, both phenomenal. After hearing good things about this restaurant, I finally went for lunch. The host was cordial, and I was seated immediately (of course I had made reservations). As others have mentioned, it's a bit tight in there, but I was perfectly comfortable. The waiter greeted me immediately and brought my drink while I waited for my friends. I had penne boscaiola and loved it. The pasta was perfectly al dente, and all the flavors in the sauce (meat, peas, porcini, and cream) came together nicely. My friends both had the pumpkin tortellini and raved about it. For dessert, we shared the biscotti plate, which is the perfect size for 3 or 4 people if you want something sweet but can't stomach a huge dessert. I wish i could give this place more stars. The maitre d' is a sweetheart and always takes care of us. The food is consistently phenomenal and for a good italian restaurant in beverly hills the prices are not unreasonable. My mom always gets the lobster pasta, which is to die for. My new favorite is the tuna carpaccio (if you get it for lunch the salad portion is a bit bigger). And for desert i always find it hard to decide between the tiramisu and the affagato, because both are so yummy. I eat here usually once or twice a week, but wouldnt mind eating here every day. read more

After specifying a table, she denied, then contradicted us about our reservation when we arrived. We had to leave, looking for somewhere else to have dinner. well, I'm sure a lot of the price has to do with the astronomical rent these people are likely paying for the space, which is designed quite nicely. It's a well appointed bar, and I love that they made efforts to avoid mass produced brands in the waters and other items they serve.... and speaking of service, the staff was professional and courteous. Also... the quality of the pasta they produce is excellent, as is their bread... They do a good job of following the Italian mantra of being ingredient focused... frankly, the only reason why I am hesitant in giving the establishment 5 stars is that the seasoning and execution of the dishes on our table was a little off. My bfs boss still cant stop talking about their carbonara a month later. I had the pumpkin gnocci ( yes off season, but still delicious). Bf had the arrabiata w shrimp. Others had their raviolis. My family and I visited for lunch. I had the gnocchi bolognese and was not impressed. The bolognese had very little meat in the sauce and the gnocchi were not very good. My daughter had spaghetti bolognese and she told me my bolognese is 100 percent better. I do not feel I received value for the meal. The resturant was empty and since I was pressed on time, I knew this would be our best option. Service was great, food was wonderful. Little pricey, BUT, the food was great! I had the Gnocchi Paradiso...it will melt in your mouth!!! Hint of mushroom inside, and I LOVED the fondue sauce for it..one of the best gnocchi I've ever had! Great food! We had New Years Eve dinner here and it was fantastic. Pasta is el dente and lobster was excellent. The meals were prix fix or self select at a small premium. We had the lobster butternut soup, lobster linguine, and veal shank risotto. The Panna Cotta was smooth, and the Tiramisu was not only authentic but had a really nice twist of Italian vanilla. Topped off the meal with coffee and cappuccino. Service was as good as can be expected on a busy night, the waiter did not speak English well (his own admission) so we had to work through the menu together. Would visit again! read more

Always lovely, the food has a true neighborhood feel from Italy (not American Italian, but Italian Italian) so dishes are light, well prepared and do not leave you in a carbo coma. The staff are well attuned and will remember you after only a couple visits. I would have to give this place a 5 for the food and for the amazing wait staff, but I would give the ambiance a 3, so we have a 4 average. The problem with the "ambiance" is the way everyone is SOOO crammed in, i had people on both sides of me that were literally 2 feet away! it felt awkward b/c it was like they were part of our dinner group. And as a 30-something, it felt funny being in a restaurant where the average age was around 70. BUT, that said, the food is incredible!!! I had the burrata (which was the softest, most flavorful mozzarella I have ever had - even when i lived in italy it wasn't this good!), for my main course i had the gnocchi with porcini mushrooms (insanely good!! the gorganzola sauce was perfect!), and for the dessert - tiramisu (it was so soft that a piece of paper could cut through it! It was the perfect end to a perfect platter of perfection!). The place was easy to find and there were plenty of areas to park. When we arrived, we were seated immediately. The decor was modern but not stuffy and the crowd was eclectic. I liked how some were dressy, some were casual, and there was a range of old to young people. The service was great and the prices were reasonable (especially in Beverly Hills). However, the food was FABULOUS! We ordered the Carpaccio for an appetizer, which was cut so thin you could see through. The quality was impeccable and the taste was divine. For my entree I ordered the tagliatelle in two different colors and my fiance ordered the mushroom risotto. The flavors were perfect! Not too rich and the noddles were al dente. This is definitely my favorite go to Italian restaurant and I would recommend everyone try it! read more

This place is awful. The staff is downright rude and nasty. They treated me and my guest like dirt and we left. I thought it was pretty laughable when the hostess acted like she was someone important and that she was better than others. People need to remember their place in this world or at least be trained properly to understand the difference between being an employee versus a paying customer. The customer is king. These guys were great. We ventured down to Piccolo after finding Beverly Grill had an hour and a half wait. We had no reservation, but even though their tables were mostly reserved and filling up fast they moved a table outside and made a spot of us. The food was outstanding from the hearts of palm/artichoke salad to my spaghetti cacio e pepe. Service was excellent in every way. This is my favorite Italian restaurant in Los Angeles. As an Italian national living part time in Los Angeles, I am very picky about my Italian food and this is the only place I have found until now that satisfies my need for authentic Italian food. The prices are a little expensive, but it is located in Beverly Hills and the quality of the food and service matches the price. The waiters are all Italian, as is the manager, Fabrizio, who personally attends to each table and makes conversation with everyone. I highly recommend the Spaghetti Carbonara, which has been good every time. It gets crowded for lunch between 12:30 and 1:30 and dinner between 6:30 and 8. One of the best Italian restaurants that I have ever tried yet. The whole experience was excellent. We did not have any reservation so we tried to get there early and we were able to be placed in a great table in the restaurant. Then, the service, food and everything was excellent. Starting the bread with their brand olive oil was so good. The waiter was really helpful. We had the Burrata and Bresaola for Antipasti and both of them were delicious. You could fell that all the ingredients are fresh and authentic for the plate. The fresh mozzarella in the Burrata was amazing. Then for entrees we had the Risotto di Donna Carmela and Risotto con Verdurine di Primavera, both were excellent chooses. Both risotto were prepared perfect and they were delicious. Last evening, we experienced at Piccolo Paradiso what was perhaps our worst dining experience ever in Los Angeles. From the moment we were seated, pretty much everything was wrong. We arrived at the restaurant right at 5pm when it opened, and were seated immediately towards the rear of the restaurant near the bar. Although there were several waitstaff hanging out and chatting at the bar, we were totally ignored for at least 10-15 minutes. Had we not been entertaining guests, we would probably have gotten up and left. Finally, someone came over, took our drink order, and these were delivered promptly and were fine. We told our server that we would like to enjoy our drinks for 10 minutes or so before ordering...big mistake!! The restaurant was filling up, and it took at least 30 minutes to even get our waiter's attention again. After our first course, it took forever to get our entrees, and during this time we were completely ignored and although we asked the busboy several times to send our waiter over, this was impossible. When our entrees were finally served after a wait of almost an hour, they were all very cold and very bad. A chicken entree was totally dried out, and cacio e pepe which can easily be made at home, aside from being cold, was awful...swimming in oil, and with very little cheese which is a key ingredient of this simple dish. No grated cheese was offered for the cacio, or another guest who had ravioli. Certainly after being at the restaurant for two hours, we were not about to send our food back to be recooked. We asked to talk with the manager, but he was away (no surprise!). We were offered two desserts for compensation, but that was ridiculous considering what we had experienced. We left after nearly three hours, having had our worst LA dining experience ever. Needless to say, we'll never return! read more
