The last time I went I saw 1. An employee come inside from her smoke break, go behind the counter and never wash her hands, then proceed to scratch herself on her neck and under her shirt as she walked around 2. Another employee chopping vegetables with no gloves 3. A third employee reach into her back pocket and grab her cell phone, take a picture of a pizza she made (with her gloves on) and then put the phone back in her jeans and proceed to continue preparing food without changing her gloves. This was all in ONE VISIT. I finally spoke up and everyone was very quiet about it and no manager stepped forward to apologize. If all of this happened while I was standing there I can't imagine what goes on behind the scenes. Will never return. 2 stars because the food is actually really good, such a shame they are practicing unsafe food handling. read more

DELICIOUS!!! I just had Pickleman's for the first time in Downtown Omaha and it was fantastic!! I highly recommend the Italian Club with extra giardiniera peppers, it will blow your mind! It's a great and convenient location for all you business people in Downtown Omaha and they have outdoor seating in the warmer months! read more

Most of the menu did not appeal to me. So I decided to get the Avo-Cobb. The salad says it has eggs. What they don't tell you is that if you decide to add meat to it they take away the egg. For a salad with Avo, for avocado, in the name, they were stingy on the avocado. Two slices so if you cut it up, you are able to get only 8 bites of salad with avocado. I chose romaine lettuce and while the lettuce was good and fresh, it seemed to be mostly pieces of spine with some lettuce on each side. I wonder what the rest of the lettuce leaves get used for if the salads are mostly made with the spines of each leaf. read more

Nothing "Gourmet" about this place. Portions are small, bring your microscope to see it, bread is tasteless and soggy. Ordered a turkey club and got ONE piece of bacon, yes, ONE ENTIRE PIECE OF BACON for the sandwich. Sure hope the owner can afford it. The lettuce is white and tastes old or it's brown and soggy, either way it's nasty and waaaay over priced. I feel bad giving this place even one star that it doesn't deserve. read more

I had one order that I had an issue with due to delay of time, however they did everything that could possible to make it up to me! Customer service is outstanding! Not only was my free meal that day but they gave me an additional free meal for anything I wanted in the future! We are all human and make mistakes, it's how he handle them is what counts! I absolutely love Pickleman's! I think I have sold a few people on Pickleman's as well. It's all about the bread. My boyfriend visited a few times, and we got pickleman's at least once every time. He described the last bite of the sub... most places you have that crusty, dry piece that just isn't that flavorful. At Pickleman's, EVERY bite is perfect to include that last bite. I have tried their avo-cobb salad, pizza, and subs. I am sold on a turkey bacon, standard with banana peppers and avocado. The hodge podge standard with olives, oil and vinegar is also very good. I lived in the barker building which is in the same building as the restaurant, so it was dangerously convenient! Additionally, the service at this particular pickleman's is absolutely FANTASTIC! They were always so friendly and helpful. They always took the time to give me the perfect sandwich... and they have military discount! They would make it a point to remember to give that to me as well :) read more

I have to say I'm disappointed. While the sub I had was good, I could have gotten nearly the same thing at Doozy's but at a 14 inch sub rather than 7. The soup (Broccoli cheese) was greasy and very salty, and I LOVE salt. I'll stop by again, but even subway 4 blocks away is a better deal. Wow. This place is terrible. I gave it two stars because the food is edible. I ordered online a turkey sandwich and 1/2 Caesar salad for delivery. Ordered at 12:47 and the confirmation email I received said the order would be ready in approximately 30 minutes. That seems like quite a long time to me, especially when their competitor is "freaky fast"...much faster than 30 minutes. After I had waited an hour, I called and asked about my order. Apparently they were really backed up with orders and mine was out with the delivery driver but the guy didn't know if it would be delivered first, last or somewhere in between. He guessed maybe another 5-10 minutes but didn't really know. At 2:03 the delivery guy finally shows up. The salad was pretty standard. The Asiago Caesar dressing is a bit too tangy but whatever. The sandwich was small and pathetic with only 2 slices of turkey on it. I will not be ordering from Pickleman's again. They should change their name to something catchy like "Pickleman's Rip Off Sub Shop" read more

Was it town for a match against Creighton. The team needed a snack and I called ahead for a tray of some of their popular sandwiches to pick it up right away. They did not disappoint. I visited Omaha over the weekend and chose Pickleman's for lunch. I had the Italian Chop Salad with Italian and Chipotle Ranch dressings....very good!! They did not skimp on this salad. The portion was quite generous, the lettuce and all ingredients were very fresh, and was complemented with delicious peppers. The rest of my party had a variety of the toasted subs and everyone was quite pleased. The place was spotless and the staff was courteous and professional. We all had a great experience and look forward to a return visit. Before we left, one of my friends asked if they cater......now that's a good sign!!! read more

I really enjoy their food. The Asiago Chicken Pizza is fantastic! I also really enjoy their southwest salad. I guess my only real complaint is the delivery service. A large group of us ordered food from their and were missing 3 items along with a few items being incorrect. When we called to have the missing items delivered, they weren't very helpful and almost trreated us like we were lying to get free food. Overall, great food, not great service. read more

Poor service! 3 try was horrible. Ordered online today for delivery. Placed order at 9am for 11:15am delivery. I had back to back meetings, and at 12pm between meetings I called. They answered phone "Did you have a delivery"? When I said yes, they said we are a bit behind schedule because some large orders came in today. When I told them it was over an hour late, he didn't even seen apologetic. An hour late does not equal "a little behind". A phone call saying they couldn't deliver would have been helpful. In the previous two orders (several months apart) 1) The soup rolls were as hard as bricks. Couldn't even break open they were so incredibly hard. 2) Last order same thing with soup roll, but a little less hard but still inedible. Ordered cookie with order. It wasn't delivered with the order. When I called, they said they would deliver it. They never did, nor did they credit be back. I like them as an alternative for delivery other than Jimmy John's, but doubt I will be back. Several others in office refuse to use them anymore either. When I spoke to our security / reception desk, he said people have had lots of issues with them, and many won't use them anymore. Proceed with caution!! Perhaps in restaurant dining is better, but don't plan on them for lunch if you need a delivery. And don't expect them to rectify the problems either. Unfortunatley I had to go without a lunch at all today, and a simple phone call or email would have gone a long way. read more

I ordered off the app. My soup and sandwich was not the way I ordered it. I made some specifications like no mayo, cheese and onions on the chili, added cucumber, black olives, and pepper oil. None of that was on there and there was mayo on my sandwich . I don't know if they were just having an off day but they need some quality control. read more

Love the tomato basil soup..I had it 4 out of 7 days last week along with the turkey sub. Food tastes fresh and homemade. Only one of the times I felt like they didn't put enough toppings and it was as if I was eating more bread than anything else. Service was speedy. Tea was gudd! Wow, what an awful place. I had a turkey bacon club and they put one, yes I said 1, entire piece of bacon on it that was as limp as wilted lettuce. The sandwich was small, over priced and very little turkey on it as well. I have NEVER been to a sandwich place where they put 1 piece of bacon on their sandwich. This was until tonight my fave Omaha sandwich shop. The food is always fresh and in the past the customer service was awesome. I came in tonight an hour before closing, explained I had 3 kids and a puppy and asked to sit out on the patio. The staff seemed annoyed to have any customers and didn't even respond to my question. Being that I'm a regular and the kids love it there I figured it wouldn't be a big deal to unlock one table and a couple chairs. Not only was the staff extremely rude but when my niece and daughter went back in to order, they were mocking me in front of my own child. And I I said was I understand you guys are probably tired and ready to leave but I have 3 hungry children and a brand new puppy so out of respect I would keep the mess (that I would clean) outside. You guys were extremely disrespectful and being a business owner myself, I won't be referring any of my clients at this point. Hope u get it together, it'd be a shame to lose business at a place with such high potential. Customer service is everything. read more
