By far the best pizza and salads around! We have been getting takeout from here every few weeks during the last few months, and they've got the system down. So fast and friendly. We've been going so often in fact that we decided to change it up this weekend and try the place across the street...that was a mistake. Does not compare to Pie Tap, especially the food but also the service. We won't stray again!! I highly recommend the mushroom pizza and the sweet salad! SO good. Chicken tenders on the kids menu are also good. And their dipping sauces! You can't go wrong. Trust me, go here. read more

Once again, a wonderful experience at Pie+Tap! We've been here 4 times now and have not been disappointed. Last Friday we went and had the chicken meatballs appetizer, it was great. Had the Prosciutto pizza and it was great also. Service was just right, not slow, and not hovering either. We really enjoy coming here! read more

Pizza is smaller than other places and over priced but wow is it delicious! It's my favorite flavor pizza I've had so far in TX. The standard Bolognese and cheese is a staple but there's a few other artisan style pizzas and they too have been delightful. They do not deliver so expect an additional fee for Door Dash to deliver. In short, amazing pizza but small and overpriced. read more

The worst place to come when you're trying to eat healthy/"on a diet"! Even so, I came here the day after a night of debauchery so that idea was already thrown out the window... I hadn't actually heard much of Pie Tap before, but I definitely enjoyed the food and drink specials! They offered a fair price for their mimosas at $3/glass or 800ml (about 5 glasses) for $10 (and different flavors! we got pineapple) and also offered a nice frose (with my favorite Hendrick's gin) at $2. Both were good. We tried their cinnamon rolls (2 per order) which were delicious and got two pizzas that were 1/2 and 1/2 of flavors. One was 1/2 salami 1/2 chicken pizza, the other I don't fully remember but one half was the sausage egg pie I believe. Fairly decent pizzas that are made from scratch and our server was very knowledgeable and prompt. We were able to watch the remainder of the UT v OU game too. I will say I felt the inside was rather dimly lit, at least for a brunch atmosphere, but otherwise had a great time. I'll likely return when I've once again given up at striving for healthier eating habits. read more

I went here after a couple times and it was very bad service. I found gum in my napkin and I complained and as soon as I dead the waiter had an issue. She called her manager and the manger took and it make some snarky comment. After that a manger came and made a very rude client again. I will never come again. It was not necessary for them to show attitude after I just letting them know about an issue I occurred. I will never come back! read more

Sadly, the hubs and I were very disappointed with our experience at Pie Tap. We've been to the downtown location and fell in love. This was our first time at the Plano location, and it was not the same. We started with the garlic knots. They should have just been called knots. They weren't garlicky at all, except for the one bite you take with the roasted piece of garlic on it. It actually just tasted like sourdough bread presented in knot form with a Asiago cheese spread (which was alright but still not strong in flavor). Next, we ordered the Workshop salad. It's a really good size; we were surprised! It was a decent salad until I took a bite with a piece of hair in it. I thought maybe it was my hair that got caught in my bite (I have long hair and that happens sometimes - ha!) However, not in this case. I spit out my bite of salad and actually saw the hair. The salad was done for us. We weren't feeling fancy for pizza and just ordered a basic margarita. This was probably the driest pizza we've ever had! And that's a bold statement because we love pizza and eat it a lot. It was also full of air bubbles, which usually the person responsible for making the pizza is supposed to monitor and pop to eliminate. I had to ask for extra sauce to try and rectify the pizza. When ordering the sauce, I tried to explain we wanted the sauce because the pizza was so dry but the waitress couldn't hear me and I didn't want to shout any louder. Then, we ran out and I had to order another extra sauce but this time it came in a much, much smaller cup (the size restaurants serve extra ketchup in). This annoyed me because I actually really enjoyed the sauce (best part of our meal), and knew I'd want more with my pizza (I had 2 slices left). What's worse is we later learned that we were charged for the sauce. It was only $2 so I didn't want to make a fuss but it's the precedent of the whole thing. I wasn't satisfied with my pizza and looked for another way to make it better and got charged. Not cool in my book. I guess Pie Tap won't be our local go-to pizza place like we thought. That's unfortunate because we really loved our Dallas experience and was hoping for more of those moments in Plano. read more

This place was pretty good - good selection of wine, good variety of appetizers and pizzas. Our server was fabulous and super sweet. Thin crust with great flavor. Sat in the enclosed patio - which was kind of weird because they asked if we wanted indoor or outdoor seating, which is all indoor technically. We'll be back - nice experience. read more

The owner responded to my review very quickly and apologized for the food lacking it's normal quality. She was very sincere and personal. She sent me gift cards and my husband and I went for lunch today. We both got chicken melts with Caesar salads. Our sandwiches were delicious! My husband wasn't a fan of the salad but that's just a preference thing. We also got frozes and mimosas. I got the blackberry mimosa and my husband got the pineapple mimosa, I couldn't really taste anything but champagne. We agreed the frozes were our favorite between the too. The service was great, our server Josh was attentive and friendly. I also appreciated that if our server was a little busy another server would help when he could. All in all great food and customer service. I'll be looking forward to our next visit. read more

Great food! Fresh made pasta and the perfect pizza crust, fresh ingredients. Been here many times and we love it! When ever we want pizza this is our new go to. We usually order the pappardelle bolognese and the salami pizza because that's our favorite. We've tried several items on the menu but we still order the same thing. :) read more

Food is OK for a pizza joint. I ordered the fondue, and at first didn't know what to expect. It looked like a Stromboli, but it's just a hunk of pizza dough...very tasty dough with a dipping sauce. My husband ordered pasta dish and it was delish, all pasta made in house. Highly recommend any pasta dish. I got the vegi pizza and it was a real disappointment: dry, very little cheese, and no sauce. They tried to make up for the lack of flavor by adding spice but the spice was not mentioned on the menu, so be forewarned that this packs some heat. The waitstaff isn't well trained, had to go back and forth several times. read more

First time coming here and I can say they are pretty accommodating for groups. My friends and I were sat almost immediately as they were not busy that time of day. We were waiting on a few others to arrive and the staff were friendly in waiting for the rest of our party to come. We ordered a fondue appetizer for the table and two pies. The chicken pie and mushroom pie. Both pizzas were super flavorful and were on thin crusts. The fondue was delicious as well and would recommend to others. Their pineapple beer was also one of my favorite ciders I have had in a while. My friend ordered a bolognese pasta, which I tasted and was slightly disappointed in texture of the noodles being too hard. Another friend ordered the blackout cake and it was super rich and the waitress gave him a huge bowl of whipped cream on top of the cake. I would advise others to have it on the side to prevent the mountain of whip cream. Overall had a good time and would come back again to try their lunch special. read more

Hey there! We went to Pie Tap based on the ratings on Yelp to give it a shot and... IDK, not feeling like our meal was the meal others are having. We came on a Saturday night and were able to get right in. We had an appetizer of Knots ($9) and I have to say they were fairly flavorless, and that was to our entire group of 4. The entrees arrived and we had 2 pizzas (sausage and a veggie), ricotta gnocchi with chicken, and a Workshop salad. The gnocchi arrived warm and when the chicken was offered we did not realize it was a $4 add on, and not, in MY opinion, worth it. The gnocchi sauce was flavorless, which I was shocked at because it looked good. The sausage pizza I had had fennel sausage on it, sparsely, and I never would have known there was fennel in the sausage. The veggie pizza was good, both pizzas with a nice crust. The salad was 8-10 slices of salami and.... not $14 worth of ingredients and taste. Our bill for 4 people, no alcohol, was $105+. We have a family game where we try to guess the bill before looking and everyone was shocked. For the roughly the same price we could hit La Pizza & La Pasta at Eataly at Northpark, which is fantastic. We may give Pie Tap another shot, but maybe it will just be me this time... read more

We sat at the bar looking to escape the OU madness. The bartender josh was so helpful and friendly. It was our first time and the food and service blew us away. We were stuck between two pizzas and he told us we could mix it half and half. What?! It made our day. Great hospitality! The frose is like liquid candy. Very addictive! Highly recommend. I order my phone for pickup, I got he Salami Pie $17, the Pappadelle+Bolognese $17 and and Workshop Salad $14. I put the price because the food portion and the food was not work the price. I am 1 mile away from the place when I ordered was told it would be ready in 20 min, when I get there in about 15 min the food was ready, however I did notice it was not hot, I kind of feel like someone ordered the food prior to to my order and they gave me their food. However the pizza had no flavor and was dry, the Pappadelle+Bolognese was flavorless and the pasta was under cooked, the salad just wasn't worth $14 in general and the house Vinaigrette was lacking in all areas. Over all I feel like the place should give me my money back because I feel like I was cheated. read more

Love love love!! They've got the best online ordering system EVER. Tuesday = $10 pies - my favorite is the prosciutto, goat cheese, fig, arugla and pistachio, with a balsamic drizzle - so amazing. Wednesday = Special pricing for a half or whole bird, with sides. I've never eaten at the restaurant itself. We always do online order and pick up. Def worth a try, if you're not sold, go on a Tuesday when they have $10 pies. read more

I came here on a Wednesday afternoon on a rare day off. My goal was to drink, eat and enjoy quality time with bae to take the edge off of a crazy week. The bartender served us at one of the nearby high tables. I loved the bartender's patience and attentiveness. I have had every pizza on the menu. They are all fabulous. My favorite is the pepperoni because I like to keep it basic. However, the prosciutto pizza is my second favorite. It's so flavorful yet kind of light and filling all at the same time. I highly recommend it. Happy hour ends at 6 which is a bummer but definitely worth it if you can get in early. read more

Underwhelming pizza. The crust where there's topping is exceptionally thin. It's ok, except the area where there is topping is very small. The edge crust is huge and thick. Sometimes the crust is so good that I don't mind, but that isn't this crust. We ended up wasting half the pizza (empty crust), eating all the parts with topping, and leaving hungry. Wow! Fantastic experience! Quickly greeted and sat on the patio under warmers to see all the holiday lights, server was attentive and super sweet suggested great dishes and drinks for us. I have been here three or four times over the course of a year. Food is okay. I felt the pizza options were a little strange for my tastes. The pizza crust is only made with three items or something like that so it's not a flavorful delicious crust. Good cocktail drink options. I felt food was over priced for the quality, but I liked the concept of farm to table that is provided. I personally wouldn't crave anything I have gotten so far but if a friend wanted to go I probably wouldn't decline because the food wasn't bad per say. Ok. I really like the food and the service is great. That being said, I only know this because the happy hour special (ANY wine on tap for $5 until 5:00) drew me in to try the place. It quickly became an after-work favorite spot for me and my coworkers. I mean, how great that we could gather and enjoy our favorite cab, sauv blanc, and malbec for an hour after work at an affordable price?! It was lovely! Fast forward to yesterday. The menu was completely reprinted to *include* only the least expensive wines in the $5 happy hour. Not so happy.....hour. None of the new offerings are our favorites and so here I sit at Kenny's across the street enjoying the Wednesday ALL day, any wine $5 special. Yes, we chose your expensive wine every time.
