I'm pretty pleasantly surprised!! I've been scared to try poke in NY because my standards are pretty high for it but this place was better than I expected. Very solid portion size to build your own bowl for a good price. I have had better tasting fish/combinations of ingredients but this definitely fills the craving. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fast service, decently spacious interior.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Create Your Own - Large Bowl (~$17)

Ordered: Create Your Own - Large Bowl (~$17): purple rice, proteins: salmon, ahi tuna, shrimp, mix-ins: cucumber, sweet onion, scallion, toppings: seaweed salad, crab salad, ginger, and masago, sauces: spicy mayo and yuzu wasabi, crunches: onion crisps and wonton crisps Thai Iced Tea (free with Yelp check-in with $25+ orders) Aya's take: [[HIGHLIGHT]]Spacious, clean, and great addition to Broadway![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All the seafood was super fresh, they load up on the toppings, and it's quite healthy and filling overall. I love that they have purple rice here; that's not an option I often see at poke spots. The Thai Iced Tea was sweet and creamy; not sure how fresh it is as they are in the fridge but I can't complain for a free drink to go with my meal. Would definitely come back for my poke fix!

Service was very speedy and the prices were quite reasonable. Ingredients tasted fresh and delicious. The portion sizes were quite generous as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There isn't much seating but they weren't too busy so we were able to sit down.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]A pleasant ambiance overall![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Tasty poké with lots of options. Besides the usual raw fish, they also have cooked beef and eel. There are some unique add ins such as lotus chips and tamago. They also have hot pot options. My bowl of poke was very good. The ingredients are fresh and tasty. The fish was decent but the tuna could be fresher.

Another Poke bar opens in Astoria! One of the recent spat of poke bars in Astoria. I visited here in the Spring and found a good variety of options, including chicken, shrimp, and scallions. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, the establishment is clean and has friendly staff[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], but I would not say this poke bar is out of this world; it is just another fast food entrant on the Astoria scene. Whether it will last or not is another matter.

We ordered to go, there's a kiosk where you can place your order and pay. PROS: - a lot of avocado - numbered sauces, which was nice, and able to differentiate easily - short wait CONS: - very loose lids, rest of packaging ok - portion size ok/relatively small - skimped some toppings We ordered the 2 protein bowls. I ordered the tuna & salmon and my bf ordered the onion beef and chicken. We walked for only a few minutes, before I noticed the lids were popping off of the bowls, and not tightly secured. When I got back, I tried adding some sauce and shaking the bowl to mix it up only to spill out because it's too loose. There seemed to very little pieces of wonton crisps and mango pieces that I could finish in like 2 bites. Lemon slice was literally 1 lemon slice. Toppings were definitely uneven portions, some less than others. Other than that, the food was ok. I liked that the sauce was numbered so I was able to add what I want and try what I want.

Delicious poke and friendly staff! Well portioned. Varied menu. I really enjoyed my Salmon Lovers bowl. Curious to try their classic tuna bowl or açaí next time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of seating and clean bathroom.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    A bowl - I picked my own

Heard great things from friends about this place so I decided to give it a try. I was really excited because they have mango as a topping, which is my favorite. You can tell they put effort into the restaurant with the mascot and branded box, bags, etc... it felt like I was walking into someone's passion project which is something I love when I walk into shops or restaurants. The rice was really fresh, the toppings delicious and also fresh, and overall delicious choices for poke. I do wish they had seared salmon to complement seared tuna, but overall it's an absolutely great experience. They had quite a few staff ready to serve too making service really fast, so y'all should give them some love!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean interior, fast service, great portions![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the salmon lover bowl to share between two people, and I would say it was quite plenty! They didn't skimp on the meat, and everything was very flavorful. If you want less sauce, you should definitely note that when ordering.

UPDATED (for 2 additional visits) - It is our fav ramen spot in LIC/Astoria!…read moreAmbiance (5/5): The establishment has a very sleek interior with an open, welcoming layout. Although close to other tables, when I dined there was no one nearby. There is also bar seating in the front. Service (5/5): I came on a weekend night at 7:30p and there was no wait. Tonkotsu ramen (5/5): Pro move: ask for the thicker noodles (pic is original dish of thin noodles) This was a superb bowl of ramen! The broth is very umami with tons of depth, flavors, and creaminess. Noodles are the straight kind which has a little less bounce than I usually like but still plenty portioned to enjoy. The bowl comes with a lovely half soft boiled egg. The two large pieces of pork char sui were great--tender and flavorful. Reasonably priced bowl at $18 with some additional toppings like wood ear mushrooms, bamboo, green onions, and narutomaki. Definitely coming back here again to try their other bowls!! Pork belly buns (5/5): If you are already getting the pork belly in the ramen, this can be skipped since it's the same meat. However, the sauce was good and the meat is tender. Crab croquette (4/5): It tasted fresh and consistency of a normal croquette-- crunchy on the outside with a softness from potato on the inside. The light panko seasoning was a nice touch. It also comes with a small side of salad. Wagyu (5/5) - thin pieces of wagyu were very fresh and flavorful. The broth feels very soothing and lighter as it was but not as rich as the tonkotsu. I loved the pickled cucumber and cabbage. The thick noodles are perfectly bouncy and chewy. Shoyu Duck (4/5) - Light broth as I did not taste the undertones of duck in the broth.

OK. This won't take long. Fabulous…read more Fabulous meal and fabulous service tonight (Sunday). Three of us came at 6:30 pm and were promptly welcomed. I ordered the Dinner sushi combination D - tuna, salmon and white tuna. It came with a not-so-small small garden salad in a decent dressing. One of my table mates got the Bento box with teriyaki salmon and the other got two rolls (Spicy Girl and Cucumber, Avocado, Jalapeño and Scallion). We also ordered a shrimp shumai appetizer (six small, tasty shumai in the serving). Everything was delicious. And the service was outstanding. To be honest, initially we thought we were being rushed because the server came by repeatedly to remove empty plates and the wrappers from our chopsticks - but we quickly realized that this was really extremely attentive and great service. Throughout the meal, our water glasses were refilled numerous times and we were not rushed at all. After our leisurely meal, we ordered a Green Tea Mille Crepe and an order of fresh fruit. The crepe was very good, although the topping of green tea was a bit thick for us and we scraped it off and ate the rest. The fruit was fresh and delicious. We truly felt very welcomed and valued as customers here. We didn't drink anything other than water, so our bill was only about $100 (before tip) for the 2 hours we were there, but even as we left we felt valued by the serving staff and sushi chefs. An excellent meal and experience.

Firstly, we had wanted to dine in the honey comb booth, so called ahead to reserve one. We didn't know whether a reservation was needed or if we could walk in, but the person on the phone took our name and confirmed our reservation at a specific time on a specific day for a specified number of diners. When we rocked up, we were told that there was no honey comb booth for us. A longer version is that apparently only the two bottom booths are big enough for 4 people but they were both taken. Never mind that as we were leaving, I saw two people in one of those booths. The food? The ramen was mediocre. The omurice was fun to try and the curry sauce was as suitable as their demi glace for it. I wasn't enthused about the bland fried rice for the omurice, though. The popcorn chicken was nice and juicy and stayed that way for the entire meal, which was pleasantly surprising. The pork and chicken yakitori were nice and juicy whereas the beef skirt was overcooked. The braised pork don was on the sweet side but was fine for what it was. The matcha pudding's consistency was closer to a custard than a pudding, but the cream complemented it and the tiny bit of red bean juice actually enhanced the pudding, which would not have been as enjoyable on its own. I doubt I will return, but I wish them well and hope they continue to improve.

I usually order spicy ramen at most ramen spots, so that's what I went with my first time here. Big mistake. The spicy ramen really takes away from the depth of flavor. If you actually want to appreciate the broth, the classic ramen is the way to go. You can always add spicy oil yourself. A few things could definitely be improved. For an upscale ramen spot in the heart of NYC, I was surprised the tap water was straight-up lukewarm. Nobody wants lukewarm water after eating a piping-hot bowl of ramen. I'd also avoid the bar seating if you can. The seats aren't very comfortable, especially if your back tends to get tight from sitting hunched over. Another small but surprisingly annoying issue is the front door, it doesn't have a slow-close mechanism, so it's constantly slamming shut. Depending on where you're sitting, it can get pretty loud and distracting while you're trying to eat. On the positive side, the service was great. The staff was attentive, and the food came out incredibly quickly after ordering, which I really appreciated. The ambiance definitely fits the upscale NYC ramen vibe without feeling overly fancy. You don't need to dress up, casual clothes are completely fine. I'll definitely be back, classic ramen next time, no question.
