Excellent pizzas and an extremely short walk from the Caribe Hilton. We ordered one pepperoni and one veggie. We also had the garlic knots as an appetizer. Everything was great. Service was friendly. An employee of the establishment walks up and asks if we were ordering take out or dine in.... "Dine in" we respond and receive a roll of the eyes as she takes a deep breath as if she would need to build us a table from scratch and fly over a pizza from Italy. "Ugh ok, wait here" she responded as she walked away. We won't ever know if the food is good as when she walked away so did we...out of the establishment. Wow may I say the people here are super friendly and the atmosphere was very nice. One night while visiting Puerto Rico, My boyfriend and I craved some pizza. We found this little restaurant with an inside seating area and an outside patio with a bar seating area. We chose to sit outside to enjoy the nice breeze. The waitress was very attentive and so was the bartender. My boyfriend and I ended up ordering a pepperoni pizza and an order of garlic knots for the both of us. The food took a little while to get to us even thought the restaurant was pretty empty, but the food was delicious when it finally got to us. The garlic knots were my favorite. The only thing I would say is that I was hoping for a NY style pie when in actuality we got a very latin flavored pizza. Nothing to take a star away for as that was my own mistake. We found the pizza quality here varied dramatically from pie to pie. We got delivery, and the driver showed up exactly at the time we were quoted (55 minutes). The Chacarita pizza was five-star awesome (within the realm of delivery pizza. The crust was bland but what are you expecting?). The La Boca was terrible! The sausage tasted like overcooked salami and we couldn't find any hint of chimichurri! The food is delicious, the service though was at a much slower pace than I can typically stand. We have two toddlers so we operate on different timing and when it's time to go, it simply is time to go. It took forever to get the check. The waitress was helpful and sweet, the bartender kind of irritated me. I ordered a Pina mojito. It sat for a few minutes before he noticed the waitress hadn't delivered it yet. Then I watched as he tried to give it to the other three tables and walked right past us several times as if we didn't exist. Then finally he offered me my drink after everyone else said they didn't order one. The pizza was a little greasy but the combination of sausage with plantains was tasty. The other downside to the pizza was the hair on it. If I had been at home, I would've freaked but I lowered my standards drastically and just pulled the hair off and went on about my evening. I also watched as they tried to figure out who ordered what at the other tables, sometimes going from table to table with the food. Mind you, there's only four tables on the patio. So, if you don't mind waiting and confusion, you'll have a nice drink and decent food. If this were in Florida, if give it a 2. The pizza was not what we would find in New York -- what is -- but it was delicious and filling. An easy 2 minute walk from the Hilton Caribe, this is the place for simple food at a reasonable cost. So we were looking for non expensive food and we walked up on this place! The girl outside at the bar was so nice i ordered a cranvodka and my hubby ordered sprite. We got to talking with the waitress about how the soda cans are different in pr they have tall and skinny cans and in the states they have short cans. After that i ordered cheesy bread which was very good the only thing i didn't like is id take one bite and take all the cheese off and there was way too much crust. My hubby ordered a cheeseburger and unfortunately they didn't have regular fries they only had sweet potato fries which he was not happy with but he liked the cheeseburger, but he complained that it was too think he'd rather it not be sphere and more flat! The food was easily the best I had in a two week stay in San Juan. The empanada appetizers are fabulous as was the Chivito sandwich. A friend had the lobster ravioli and raved about it too. This location is VERY small (think walk in closet), so it's not great for groups over 4, but it's small size and outdoor sidewalk bar are also what make it intimate and fun. Staff was great. If you are staying at Caribe Hilton or that area, don't miss it! read more

The empanada was the best part of the meal. We split it and each has 2 bites. The salad was fine, nothing to write home about. The pizza was the most disappointing. If you are staying at the Caribe Hilton, this is right at the entrance to the hotel and 100% worth crossing the street for! I was in town for a conference and a man originally from Puerto Rico who was exhibiting beside me recommended it so I figured it was worth a shot. I am so glad I listened to him! This was the best meal I had during my stay in Puerto Rico and a much better option than the pricey hotel food. I ordered a personal pizza and took advantage of their two Stellas (beers) for $5 happy hour special, leaving me full, happy and only $22 dollars poorer after tip and all. The pizza I ordered had prosciutto, ricotta, arugula and tomato and was fantastic! The wait staff was friendly, helpful and fluent in English, which helped a non-Spanish speaker like me. One of the best artisan pizzas I ever try, we ate a caprese salad and sweet potato as appetizer, boca and prosciutto and arugula pizzas. if you are staying in caribe Hilton it is a walking distance, very good option, good food, good drinks and friendly staff.
