While visiting Flagstaff friends recommended this place because of veggie/vegan options. Hubby and I got the Veggie Lavosh wraps. These were very good. They were better than expected. We also got two orders of pita chips that we split amongst 4 of us. Our friends were meat eaters who got the Gyro Bowl and the Philly Steak Pita. Hubby and I had the tropical iced tea. Very tasty and refreshing. Everyone enjoyed their food. The prices were reasonable. The service by Nathan our waiter was fantastic. Being a former waiter myself I rarely give that compliment. (Important for people with dairy allergies or vegans) Pita Jungle's pita chips ARE NOT VEGAN, and contain dairy in them. I love this restaurant and no disrespect to them. Both my dads and I love this restaurant and we still do. We specifically asked to order from VEGAN menu. After I ordered my meal, I saw the gentleman bring the dish out and I noticed the pita chips on the dish. I asked the gentleman, is there dairy in the pita chips? He was honest and simply said, "yes." I was lucky to catch this, because a friend of mine mentioned it to me to watch out for the pita chips in meals. HOWEVER, my concern is someone maybe allergic to dairy and they may not catch this. I highly recommend highlighting the fact that the pita chips are not dairy free in the vegan menu. PLEASE UNDERSTAND that this was not our servers fault. There is a typo on the "vegan menu" which claims the pita chips being vegan, when the reality is, they are not dairy free. Thanks for your time. This restaurant looked very good, but I wouldn't recommend for take out service. 1) Our food was late. We scheduled for a pickup time an hour prior. 2) We were first given the wrong order. Upon returning it, we were given our order, but it was missing a few things. We decided to just leave with what we had instead of wait longer. 3) The portion sizes for take out are incredibly small. 4) Uncooked ingredients. The rice, for instance, was not cooked to completion; it was crunchy. It appears the staff was swamped, but the restaurant didn't seem very busy. read more

Love this place. The chicken pasta salad is always to die for, even when no other food sounds good. Calling it in as a to go order takes just as long as fast food and its way better for you AND better tasting. This location is always clean and the big windows make it feel super open. Hummus was excellent. Very loaded in garlic, terrific consistency and easily scoopable with the one (should there have been two?) pita bread. Yummy. I had the gyro sandwich, which was a good portion of beef and sliced lamb. What was different about this was that it had lettuce. That was odd. And halfway through eating... is that a pickle spear? Also odd. I don't know that I've had a gyro with pickles before. Once they were removed, it was completely excellent. Hey, Pita Jungle! Foil is a pain to eat with. I've always been impressed with the food and service here. I've never eaten the same thing twice and it's always been delicious. Tonight I had the salmon, which was delicious if it weren't for the unfortunate smell of backed up sewage emanating throughout the restaurant that was hard to get past. Even though this affected my ability to enjoy what is otherwise consistently delicious fare, I will be back. Not bad. Traveling through town and saw this place and thought it would be a healthy option to eat. The food was decent, but right behind us at table was couple with two of the biggest dogs I have ever seen. The dogs kept getting up and trying to wander and the owners keep giving them instructions...after half an hour, they gave up...what a Zoo! After a trek from Phoenix, my friend and I stumbled upon this shopping area in Flagstaff. We love pita jungle!! I'd just come back from a few weeks in Asia and my body was in serious need of veggies. This place is so cool! Family of five was driving back from the South Rim it Grand Canyon and decided to get dinner in Flagstaff before heading to our hotel. They were out of the gyro, so I got the Mediterranean Chicken Shawarma. It was a little dry, but I got some tzaziki sauce and it was fine. We also got the coconut curry soup which was delicious, the spicy chicken bowl, and a falafel wrap. All of our food was delicious and our total bill for a family of five was just under $60! Maybe it was because we did not order any drinks or deserts ;). I totally recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone; they have food for vegetarians, vegans, etc, etc. read more

I admit that this is a very good restaurant. However, as a foreigner came to eat for the first time, I think the waitress has a very bad attitude. (1. When we need to order the meal, she leaves. 2. The waiter is very enthusiastic after the other table. I took more paper towels, but she didn't. 3. We didn't finish the meal, but she got the bill.) These made us very uncomfortable. Waited over an hour for our food , when it came it was cold and unappetizing. We asked multiple times where our food was but looks like someone must've left it in a freezer. Customer service was rude cause we kept asking after the 45-50 min mark of us ordering our meals for an update. Completely dropped the ball on this one and then told us we'd have to contact corporate for any type of refund or help. I wouldn't recommend eating here unless you have dementia so you can't remember how long they're taking or you enjoy over paying for a small sized meal that will arrive colder than a bench seat in the snow.
