We just moved to RI and had to try this place out after watching RHORI and Alicia. We got the NY style large size Bruno. It was very tasty as an overall delicious pizza. The pizza chips were decent, nothing special. We would order again. The location is a little tricky to navigate parking and getting into the lot.

In honor of Alicia from RHORI (we love her!) and also their reunion episode day, my family and I decided to check out the locally famous Pizza Mamma. We ordered the Detroit style Cheese Pizza and the Motor City Roni to see what all the hype was about, and they definitely did not disappoint. The pizzas were flavorful with a great crust, though I personally would have enjoyed a little more sauce. Considering the price, I also felt the portions could have been slightly larger. The Motor City Roni comes with a hot honey drizzle, but I didn't notice much of the flavor coming through on the pizza. I placed my order online, and when I arrived, the staff was friendly and had everything ready to go, making the pickup process quick and easy. If you're in the Cranston, RI area, I would recommend giving this place a try. It has a stylish, trendy atmosphere and serves up some very solid Detroit style pizza.

I did come after seeing it on TV, but didn't have any expectations, wanted to judge it solely off the experience. Staff was friendly upon arrival, super cute inside. Lots of slices to choose from, detroit style or sicilian so you could get the best of both worlds depending on cravings. I got a slice of cheese sicilian style and mommas vodka with mango chicken detroit style. They heated them up for me. My boyfriend got all detroit style, of pepperoni and ricotta. It took just a few minutes to be warmed which was good. Flavors were tasty but pizza was hard and got cold quick, you could tell it wasn't fresh fresh. Maybe a whole pie is better but sadly I wasn't impressed. Lots of people were taking to go orders so it is a popular spot, but like other reviews it wasn't anything to write home about. Probably like a 6/10 for the slices if I'm being honest.

Service was friendly, individual slices were alright and the pizza chips were mid. I would probably stick to Antonio's for by the slice and the Original Italian Bakery for pizza chips.

I recently picked up pizza from here and thought this spot's interior was super cute. I loved the light up marquee letters. Arrived a few minutes early for pickup and our pizzas were ready to go. My favorite pizza was a current special they had going on-- pink vodka pizza. The sauce was super flavorful and I loved the crust. I'd definitely order again!

Obsseseeddddd. This is like a fairly new pizza place and I was skeptical because of reviews are mixed. I have to say I'm literally obsessed. The Detroit pizza is to die for and the regular pieces are just as good. I wish I lived closer. I would go every weekend.

    Moldy pizza chips

Picked up some pizza chips on our way down to Newport Monday. Opened them today to discover they were moldy. When I called to let them know. I was told that they were made made on Sunday w/ a 3 day shelf life. I (mistakenly) assumed they were made fresh daily. Lesson learned. Won't be returning based on that and the managers justification for selling subpar food

Woahhh mamma this place is great. Slices I've had periodically have all been good, I love a nice crispy reheated slice. The vodka chicken grinder though is where the magic is. That sandwich, extra sauce, add ricotta. Death bed sandwich. Thank me later

Went to see Pizza Mama because of the show. It was a smaller space than we thought, but overall we would go back! The staff were friendly and attentive. We got the margarita and white pizza. They have several types of pizza, including my favorite which are large slices with a thinner crust. The margarita was my favorite! Overall, it was cute. It was cute to see Alicia's glamorous touches in the restaurant

2.5 stars I guess if a business is trying to be good at 3 styles of pizza 5 stars is a stretch goal. The New York slices were very good, a little thicker than the hand toss places in RI, more like NY. 4 stars for the NY slices Sicilian were cooked to perfection, not doughy, no gumline, just the crust really did have any taste to it. Felt rush at the registered, order 5 slices, wanted to sign up for the reward program but the girl pushed the order through a little fast. No receipt offered, and no offer of the punch cards. All the slices were double stacked and cramped into one small pizza box. The slices were barely reheated, cold to touch, the girls were happy to reheated everything and were pleasant Slices are $4+ each, so these should be served at the correct temperature. And not double stacked in the same box. Will be back to try the Detroit style.

    Where's the ricotta?
    Mitch K.

I was looking forward to trying Pizza Mamma and unfortunately it's a once and done. The picture is of their Hot Honey pizza and...where's the ricotta? I also added mushrooms and there weren't too many on it. It might have been an off night for them but I can't spend the $$$ if they're going to forget ingredients. Side Note: There's such a disparity in ratings between Google Reviews (4.4) and Yelp (3.0). The rating is definitely closer to the 3.

Tasteless cardboard of a pizza, my easy bake oven could've done better

Ok so what's there to say about this pizza... 1st momma may know best but definitely not about pizza! I ordered the NY style for pick up, got half veggies and ricotta and half mozzarella. The sauce was bland bland bland and the crust just as bland and soggy in the middle. The sign and lights are a coverup for the dark and sad looking pizza you get in the box. Will not order again, sorry mamma!

Stick to your culture food. Trying to make Italian food your way is disgusting. You're giving Rhode Island a bad name for its pizza.
