Asheville has become a playground for tourists. This establishment caters to visitors, as noticed when they slam on their brakes rounding Beacham's Curve, when their GPS says "Destination on Left". Evidently, they would prefer dine in only. My wife tried online ordering a couple months ago. It took way longer than the 30 minutes they had stated. The waitress called my name, I took the food, and went home to my exhausted family. It was not even what we ordered. We always get the Taco Pizza and Ashephilly Cheese-steak. There were 2 small pizzas. One had beets and cauliflower, the other was a Buffalo chicken. We have not ordered from them since, as management never took the time, nor respect to reply. Reluctantly, we tried to give them another shot on take out this evening. I sure was not going to use their online system. I called and the woman taking to go orders kept saying she could not hear me. I tried several times, clearly, and distinctly. Did they not invest in a cordless phone? I have never had a restaurant tell me it was too loud to take my order. Sorry folks, game over. I have no idea who owns this establishment. All I know is my family enjoys their food and they are located a block from our home that we have owned for 20 years due to hard work and dedication to our community. On Friday nights, we have both worked 50 plus work weeks and have a 2 year old daughter. Of course we do not want to go out to eat. Thanks for clearing up your opinion of locals at an early juncture. Wonderful pizza resturant. Non chain and man it shows. Flavorful and delicious. When they say the ingredients it is not like other pizza restaurants- for example, basil- the basil was super fresh and there was lots of it! Apparently if you want to get chewed out for not wearing a mask this is the place to go. Had some friends(vaccinated) from out of town go in to pick up some pizzas and told me that a lady came out yelling at them for not having masks on. They had no idea that a mask mandate for this county had been put back into effect not even 2 days ago, I mean who would if you're not watching our local news??? We get food here all of the time. Awesome pizza if you like gluten. The crust was so delicious. My husband who was gluten free on the other hand did not fare so well. When I tried his pizza it tasted like it was baked on crunchy, tasteless cardboard. I would happily give this place five stars if they found better gluten free crust. First time checking this place out after hearing great things from friends, and I wasn't disappointed! I got the margherita pizza with a gluten free crust, and it was pretty yummy. Delish fresh mozzarella, really good vodka sauce and plenty of big basil leaves. The gluten free crust was a bit chewy, but that's not unexpected. I asked what type of flour the gluten free crust was made of and was told "the bag just says gluten free flour", which is frustrating for someone who has sensitivities, but it is what it is. Maybe in the future they could find out exactly what is in their ingredients in case people ask. Overall, an enjoyable experience and I would come back. read more

Alright - so we have been here twice , both times with 2 other couples on a Saturday. The first time the service was spectacular and the second time it was dismal. However, the pizza is so good I wasn't even that mad. The taco pizza is great if you are into changing things up and the BBQ chicken makes everyone happy. I have lived in Asheville my entire life. My husband and I are always looking for a new date night restaurant and decided to try Pizza Mind on a Friday night. I was very excited that we quickly found parking and were seated right as we walked into the door. The hostess was precious and asked us where we preferred to sit. We chose a back corner and began to look over the menu. There are lots of different options with many different pizzas, sandwiches, salads and brews. When our waitress greeted us she brought us water without asking, (which is fine because that is all we drink) but if you are going to try to sell beer I would probably talk about the menu and any specials or favorites before shoving water in our faces and not giving us straws. We order a salad and a medium broccoli and meat pizza. My husband loved the salad, but I thought they skimped on everything and they charged us an extra $.50 for a side of ranch because I preferred that over balsamic. I am okay with paying extra for something that doesn't come with it, but I think you should inform the customer it costs extra before tacking it onto the bill. When a different waitress brought out our pizza she said "here is a small pizza for you guys". Seeing that we have never eaten here and knowing that we ordered a medium we kindly asked our waitress what size pizza this was. We explained that the lady who brought it out said small, so we just wanted to make sure it was the right size. She said "well it sure looks like a medium to me and I know I put it in as a medium" and shrugged her shoulders and walked off. From then on she was rude to us. I felt so bad for asking, but there is no harm in asking when you have never been to this place before. When she handed us our check it was a smear "here you go". Not a thank you for coming and hope to see you again. As far as the taste of the pizza it was pretty good. The crust was a little soggy so we had to eat it with a fork and knife. As you can tell by my review, we weren't to keen on the service. Maybe this was just a bad night for her, but I don't see us going there again, at least eating in. The atmosphere was fun and the building is beautiful, but the management needs to work on the friendliness of their wait staff. The prices are very high. We thought about building our own pizza, but that was going to cost more that to order one the way they make it. We paid $7 for a small side salad and $18 for the medium (only six slices) sausage and broccoli pizza. I don't mind paying a little extra at a place to support a local business, but the food and service needs to be on point and unfortunately it is not here. read more

Savanna was our server and couldn't have been more sincere, accommodating, and lovely to be waited on! We wanted an outside table but felt a little bad about asking for one of the two super nice ones. She was so gracious about moving us to the table we wanted and never made us feel like we were being bothersome. Literally such a sweet, professional, awesome server. She was great at anticipating needs before we had to ask..new drink orders, to go boxes, everything. It's soooo nice to go somewhere where and not feel like you're always having to ask for the things you need..she just knew/had common sense/was really awesome at her job. We ended up getting a pizza to go and she even separated the delicate/cold toppings in a separate container. Thank you, Pizza Mind, for boxing the arugula and such separately so it wasn't soggy or wilted! Really appreciated the attention to detail. Plus, let's talk about the pizza flavor itself. It's really fucking good. Great quality toppings, crust that isn't too thin or thick, dough that has a perfect amount of pull/elasticity...it's one of the best pizza places in town. Awesome service, awesome pizza dough, and awesome toppings. As a pizza lover who has lived here her whole life, it's sucked so see great pizza places either go out of business or drop in quality over the years. You guys are my new fav! read more

Best Gluten Free pizza I have had in AVL. I get the margherita weekly. They are quick with call in orders and the food is always spot on.

We have done eat in twice and now have done pickup a few times. Never disappoints. Also get the bread sticks with the pimento dip...so good.

Pizza tastes great! Crust, sauce, cheese, all the basics are solid. The beer selection is on point, offering a selection of local favorites. The place is open and clean, very nicely designed. My only gripe is the price, a large pepperoni (only 15") is $23 before tax and tip. Not a lot of pie for a lot of money. Definitely will be back but only on payday. read more

The toppings were light on all three pizzas we ordered, and on one more than half was just crust (tasty crust, but still disappointing).
