In the bay area, there are a million and a half pizza places that suit me just fine. Even after a year in LA I have yet to find one place (that isn't BJ's Brewery) that I like. Pizza Moon was a Google find. I was looking for a typical, thick crust pizza with a little crunch to it, nice crispy yet tender pepperoni, and a nice blended sauce. I went on a limb and ordered with Pizza Moon and was impressed. I like garlic on my pizza, so it surprised me to get SLICES of garlic on my pie. Which I didn't like, being used to the minced type. But it still gives the flavor I was looking for. However, the mozzarella sticks let me to believe that their atypical items might have some issues. I picked up the pizza before their time limit and received a piping hot pizza with cold mozzarella sticks. And they tasted like sand and salt. Perhaps they would have been better hot? Ah Pizza moon. This place is very similar to Mr. Angelo's. Both are in South L.A. and both ACTUALLY deliver here. Yay! They've got your standard pizza, but they also deliver burgers, sandwiches, pasta, rotisserie chicken, fried chicken and mexican food. I've tried their pizza, which is pretty standard. It gets a "good" rating from me. I've had both the meatball sub and the mussolini grinder. Both are also "good". I wish the meatball sub came with more sauce, but then again I like things saucy. Next Time I'm going to try the pasta and I'll let you know how it goes. Overall, pretty good delivery. I gave them four stars (instead of three or three and a half, which is what they prob should be) because they deliver to South L.A. something besides pizza. We need more delivery here damn it! I recieved a flyer in the mail from this business with multiple specials we chose the fiesta feast #5 serves 10 people for 33.99 + tax delivery fee and tip came to 43.00 The food arrived in 45 min ok..The rotisserie chicken was dry and bland the potatoes cold and flavorless the so called risotto was parboiled rice the pizza was a step down from dominos the spaghetti w/ meat sauce we had to remove from the table the stench of old decayed meat filled the room upon removing the lid, the garlic bread was edible the coke was great if the food was good it might be enough to feed 4 or 5 adults the only thing this meal filled up was our garbage can. read more

first off prepare yourselves for a nasty response from the owner as i have already seen her responses to some of the honest reviews here as well. and let's just say the way she responds & speaks to people speaks for itself if you want to know about customer service experience. food- pretty good, I've ordered different items from the menu as I've been coming here for over 6 years & ive tried almost everything, but only come back for the ribs w/ side of potato salad. the problem that ive had before & had recently is with the potato salad, although very good most of the time, sometimes it's a hit or miss & ive received it spoiled - you can literally tell by the taste & smell. the first time i had this issue a few years back & it was delivery, i even inconvenienced myself to return it to the store just so they could see & smell for themselves because it was made to be as if i was lying about the issue. food cleanliness & service is really important to me, because i grew up working in food service in my younger years! so no im not looking for something free or something to complain about, i actually pay attention to detail, smells, cleanliness, etc. (potato salad should never taste as sour as it did.) fast forward a few years later (2 weeks ago) i experienced the same problem dining in, now at this time i showed & allowed the cashier to smell & see for himself, i asked him if it was fresh or not, or if he could at least tell me the last tome it was made, he could not. - he said he wasn't sure. (which had me very uneasy) you're serving food & you not your cooks can remember when it was made?! NOT COOL! he apologized & offered me a different side option , which i accepted... as i waited & finally received one of my two side replacements, now the other he said he had given my second side order away to another table accidentally, which he recognized & apologized for & i didn't have time to wait any longer so he offered to take my information so that i could receive another time. flash forward to last week, i came in to order, the cook francisco was there to take my order... i tried to explain the issue from last time & he immediately became defensive & angry, he said that he remembered me & that i already got both sides, as he continued to argue i explained that it was fine, il just pay because i don't have time to argue with anyone about a $3 or $4 side. even though i hadn't received what i last paid for & it wasn't my fault. he said that i would have to come back because they were not open, although the doors were wide open as i walked in. seriously?! went through all of that nonsense just to be turned away. i called in to place an order for pick up yesterday & one of the owners (elena) became defense as well & started to argue with me over the phone as well; she mentioned me having an issue before & said "u wait a month to call about an issue?" i carefully explained to her that it was not a month & ive felt with two of her employees already. i simply asked if i could just place my order or was it going to be another issue?... she said "sure, it's only dollar potato salad" she also said that she was already aware & had listened to my previous phone call with the cashier because they record all calls, ma'am first off that should explain the issue right there & second that's illegal to screen/ record calls without making the person on the other line aware... & in regards to the "dollar" statement...ma'am let's be honest, if that was the case we wouldn't be having this problem & i probably wouldn't be writing this review. now walking into picking up my order i had another issue with the male owner/ or manager... i stood in front of him waiting about 10 minutes before he hung up with one phone call & was about to pick up another... i simply asked him "if he wanted to finish taking the call or was it fine to assist me?!" i asked him that because clearly he didn't care to when i walked up & stood in front of him for 10mins waiting to pay for my order. he responded by saying "look you can pay when the order is ready, i had calls waiting before you came in!" after him & elena fussing at me , i was finally able to pay for my order & leave. i definitely won't be back & im sure they don't care. but u don't treat people with such disrespect: yelling, cussing, etc. i only asked for what was offered to me & to fix what i had paid for , i don't care if it was $1 or $50... bottom line! u don't tell & disrespect people because you got ur feelings hurt or offended because your team dropped the ball & served expired/spoiled food, which should have day/ time stamps on the container it's served from, otherwise ur employee would have been able to tell me when it was made & since i also let them know that i recorded the entire conversation from the moment i walked in to pick up my order, so i have evidence, just as they do. so before anyone try's to deny my review, don't!...don't lie, just do better! :) read more

AMAZING wings Not so amazing meatballs, or pizza sauce The pizza smells soooo delicious but sadly it is very deceptive smell in my opinion it is very bland and I just didn't like it after 3 different attempts. The spaghetti was also disappointing to me because the meatballs seem to be made with low quality meat or possible prepackaged frozen meatballs. It might be better to ask for ground beef in the spaghetti if you're looking for a hack. The sauce isn't anything special but it's not gross either. My friend had the chocolate mousse and didn't like it. I haven't tried anything else besides the chicken nuggets which were way too greasy for my taste But non the less the wings are great!!! read more

I live just down the street from this place. I was hungry, wanted something fast, so I called to order food for pickup. I ordered an Antipasto Salad. The woman on the phone was extremely friendly, and I didn't have to repeat myself when I specified "no pickles, no pepperoncinis" because she actually repeated that part back to me. She told me the total cost, and said about 15 minutes. Ok, so I went and picked it up with no problem. I got it home, and here's where they lose 3 stars: When I opened the box, I was a bit surprised to see that the meats were not all chopped the same way. The pepperoni was sliced in rounds, the ham sliced in squares, and the salami was HAPHAZARDLY chopped into huge, random bites. The onions weren't really chopped properly, either; a couple chunks were from the end of the onion, and some were from the middle. The lettuce was chopped way too big. I've eaten many antipasto salads in my life from many different places, and I've never encountered such lazy preparation. The QUALITY of the food is good, but they did not prepare it properly. I had to rechop most of the salad myself before even putting on the dressing. This is not what I paid for; I paid not only for the food, but also for it to be prepared to be eaten. This was super lazy on the part of the kitchen staff. Because of this, I don't think I'll be buying food from Pizza Moon ever again. If they're THIS lazy about preparing a salad, I can't imagine what I'd get if I ordered something that required more preparation and cooking. read more

I always order a few times before i leave a review but im pissed as hell today. Usually a guy with an accent takes my order and hes always on it cuz he'll always mention what i last ordered which is the same thang over n over.. . Today i get a lady Rajee and i specifically told her i wanted the sandwhich i ordered b4 (because i knew she cud see my past orders under my number) and i did kinda mix up the name of the sandwhich titles but she never even verified the sandwhich and sent the wrong one.. Took my order and it came AND WAS I DISSATIFIED!!! The phillycheese steak sandwich had mayo tomato and pickles wtfff kinda subway bullshhh.. It was horrible and not a real philly sandwhich..... The 2nd sandwich for my bfriend was incorrect when i called to dispute my order Rajee thought it was professional to argue instead of acknowledging the customer. Ive ordered from them 3times a week because im tired from work and they deliver late. BUT THE FOOD IS OVERALL OK. Cheeseburger pretty good Chili fries (hella dry and stingy) My bf loves the Italian delite sub And the baja burrito ok Im so pissed i wasted $25 i cudda walked my a$$ to Master burger for real food. So this business must not be doing well. After years of ordering the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich they have reduced the amount of meat to almost nothing. Two bites in and the meat is gone. All that was left was peppers onions and tomato. Mostly bread. When I asked the manager where the meat was she reached into the fridge and showed me a pre-cut amount of meat that is used for this sandwich. It's a fucking rip off if you ask me. What a joke. I come here to enjoy a Philly and get ripped off? She didn't offer to resolve my issue, she just said sorry. What bullshit. Do not support this business it's obviously not here to serve quality food. I've tried four different pasta dishes and they are all yummy, but my favorite is the linguini with shrimp. First time hearing of this place,i called for delivery. I orders the piece hot wing, chili cheese fries,Baja burrito and chicken alfredo with mushrooms and broccoli.After an hour of waiting I got my food but my burrito was missing. I called they said they will call the driver and he said everything was in the bag I informed him again the burrito wasn't in there.
