At ~$19CAD for a whole medium pizza, an excellent bang for your buck (esp if you're tourist-ing from CA). While exploring Granville Island, my husband and I wanted to grab a quick lunch. We walked around the stalls at Granville Market and ultimately decided on Pizza Pzazz. They're right in the middle of everything so it's easy to find! There's a lot of different ways to order here: you can order a slice, you can order a combo, you can get a whole pizza. You can even get some gelato and pasta. We ended up building our own pizza but in hindsight, we should have just chosen one of the topping combos they had on their menu. Our mix was.. not as good haha. But I know that's mostly our fault. Judging by the way the pizza was made alone, it was solid. The crust was really good, the cheese was cheese pull-able, and the toppings on their own were very generous. It is a bit of a wait so I wouldn't order a whole pizza if you're in a rush. There's lots of seating at the market indoors and outdoors (though, watch out for those seagulls!) read more

came here and tried the pizza for a snack! I got a pepperoni slice here for $7. Overall, I found the pizza very mediocre. It's fairly pricey at $7, I would expect high end pizza for that price. It was too greasy and saucy (overwhelms the already lack of cheese) and the crust was not nearly crispy enough for such a thick crust. However, I saw the selection at Pzazz and my jaw dropped - thick, cheesy, mouth watering slices lined the front display. I wanted a slice of each! 10/10 Looks fire and IS fire. Walking through Granville, it's hard to make decisions and you have to plan your attack right before you get too full. Authentic Italian artisanal pizza's, pasta, and handmade in-house gelato located inside Granville Island's Public Market (since 1995). Super friendly staff, and generous portions of food and gelato. BEWARE of aggressive seagulls that will steal your food if you're eating outside on the benches. No dine-in currently inside the public market due to COVID-19 restrictions. Takeout and delivery available. My order: Spaghetti & Meatballs: Generous portion of pasta in a classic tomato sauce. Pasta texture is nice and firm, so it is still great as leftovers (I just microwave it). Their handmade meatballs are also delicious, I just wish there were a few more. Topped with some cheese and fresh basil. Creamy Tomato Penne: I like the mix of creaminess and tomato sauce, although I'd say it is 60% tomato and 40% creamy sauce. If you prefer a much creamier dish overall, I'd suggest ordering their creamy pesto penne pasta perhaps. Same generous portions as the above pasta with an al dente texture, topped with fresh basil as well. Margherita Pizza w/ Caesar Salad: Thick-cut slices of fresh tomatoes with mozzarella + parmesan cheese + fresh basil. Crust is medium thickness, and they give pretty large slices. I had mines with a side of romaine lettuce caesar salad (it's quite saucy) and is loaded with parmesan cheese + croutons. I think a full order of caesar salad comes with bread usually. Pepperoni Pizza: Classic slice of good old fashioned pepperoni pizza. Large slice, lots of pepperoni's and cheese. Pistachio Gelato: Chunks of real roasted pistachio's mixed in, for a creamy and flavourful gelato. Unicorn Gelato: Cotton-candy flavoured, and the unicorn is edible as well. It's a sweet treat for people with a sweet tooth. Affogato: my favourite gelato-based dessert - smooth and bold black coffee with a generous scoop of their gelato. Affogato was really good no regrets! It's a shot of expresso with any choice of your favorite scoop of gelato added on. I got salted caramel and it was to die for! I was visiting here a few years ago while visiting for a conference and the sign caught my eye while walking around the market. One scoop was $5, which is a bit pricey, but it was very creamy and went well with the waffle cone. I fell in love with this pizza. I came back on two more occasions. I tried the Hawaiian and the classic pepperoni. They were also very good but nothing compared to the first one. I had a "Bueno" flavored scoop which is like a hazelnut, chocolatey kind. It was pretty good. I think I have had better gelato. Perhaps, it was that the hazelnut flavor was too strong but I definitely did not enjoy it as much as I wanted to. Not too sure how I feel about this place. The last couple of times we've eaten food from here ... it was okay. I'm not sure if they've changed owners? But lately their gelato is off ... I noticed lately that the quality has gone downhill. However their serving size is bigger now. On this occasion my daughter ordered Cotton Candy Gelato. It looked okay but didn't taste right, it definitely tasted like coffee. I tasted it and each of my kids tasted it, we all agreed that it was a coffee flavour. I asked the server if she had gotten it wrong, she said for sure she didn't. I asked her to taste it herself and see what it tasted like. She called the owner over ... or at least I think she was the owner ... and she tasted it and said it was definitely Cotton Candy and that she made it herself so she knows what went into it and she didn't put coffee. I wasn't about to get into a huge argument over a $5 ice-cream ... but then again for $5 I expected better. We felt shoo'd off. We won't be going back to this place. Gelato scooper employee was extremely rude, and the ice cream tasted artificial and rancid. When I asked for an extra spoon, the black-haired gelato scooper rolled his eyes and stabbed the gelato with the spoon, and slammed the cup onto the counter. The gelato was way too sweet and watery. He also held back on the scoops because we took a couple minutes to choose the flavor. I got two scoops and it barely filled the small cup, but after I finished I saw the overweight scooper giving another customer twice the size of my cup for a one scoop. She gave me change for a $10 when I gave her a $20, and then proceeded to argue with me for 3 minutes waving a crinkled $10 bill in the air insisting it was mine when I know I gave her a $20 as I had 2 x $20 bills in my wallet. I never tried their pizza, but I got their Affogato and it was heavenly. The contrast of bitter espresso and sweet Gelato topped with sugar coated lady fingers are in sync of flavors.
