I was looking for pizza open late and delicious- this is the spot to go. The gentleman was very nice and guided my throughout the menu since i had never been there. We got a pepperoni and a house combination slice. Along with soda. They also have beer selections you can choose from. We waited very little time for pizza. It was absolutely DELICIOUS!! I work in the area, and I went here to try a Chicken Caesar salad that someone told me was really good. There was one lady working there. I paid her cash, and she did not wash her hands before mixing the lettuce that was in a container. I called her out on it, so it was only then that she washed her hands, but she seemed irritated. I just asked for a refund rather than risking possibly getting sick from eating the salad. read more

Walking around, we spotted Pizza Zone which was not too far from our hotel. It was open late and we saw that they sell pizza by the slice. The employee was friendly and quick. Our cheese and pepperoni slices were wrapped and ready to go neatly. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They also offer whole pizzas, sandwiches, salads, garlic bread and buffalo wings. We enjoyed our pizza. I wouldn't say this is the best pizza out there but we were grateful that they were open late and the portions are very generous. If you're in the area and looking for a quick bite to eat, this is a great option. read more

All of the pizza is pretty much premade cheese pizza that they add whatever toppings on top of then warm it in the oven. While there is nothing wrong with this, it is just not my type of thing. $5 for a single slice of pepperoni pizza seems a bit high but you are in SF and this location is within very close proximity to Fisherman's Wharf so the rent has got to be high. Wanted something less pricey than what was on offer in the Fisherman's Wharf area and found this place. First of all, very nice owner who actually gives slices to homeless people who can't afford to pay. Saw this happen twice while I was there. Second, pizza quality is very good for a non-coal fired, non-brick oven. Thin, crunchy crust (just how I like it) with good quality toppings. Prices are reasonable and the slices are a decent size. Prices for the beers are pretty good too. Finally, good customer service from a cheerful, easy going owner (it was kind of slow when I was there at about 8pm). read more

The man working there was very welcoming and the service was fast as you order at the counter. Pizza slice was pretty big. It was decent (not as good as New Haven pizza but not as bad as papa John's). Sausage was sliced not crumbled. We originally ordered two small pizzas, but he recommended a split medium pizza, which provided us just the right amount of pizza. Today, we came in with three other client groups, all at the same time. He worked fast, and provided all of us with excellent, courteous service. His receipts didn't have a place for tips; tips are accepted in.a tip jar on the counter. No public restroom; the menu is written on the chalkboard behind the counter. I was on a 3 day trip to San Francisco & told myself I would leave a review for all the places visited & hospitality we received on our time here. If you're interested in other recommended spots in the SF area , check my other reviews. FYI, I don't go to these places for what's "in", what is "over the top". I found these places according to their history & years of experience, wanting to try the more honest flavors of this dynamic & colorful city. With that being said, this place was just what we were looking for. Keep in mind, we are tourists up at night near Fisherman's Wharf , with not much open, & craving something familiar but honest. We didn't plan for pizza (especially because you'd think "well I'm in SF; I should go to the Italian district if I want to try some 'authentic' pizza.'") But this happened to be right in front of us & it was open. We were so lucky , honestly, to have found it. There are many options for toppings & when I asked for 2 pizza slices, the Asian man was kind enough to roll out the dough he was about to heat & showed it to me & said "they're this big--2 right ?" The slices were huge ! I changed my mind & said 1. I had cheese, salami & olives. They put the toppings right in front of you in the open kitchen. He has premade crusts with cheese warm & ready to go before you ask for what you want. This pizza was big, tasty, familiar, available & served by a kind person. read more

This is a great little pizza place in a nice location near fisherman's wharf. We had a large pepperoni that although took a while to cook was well worth it. We were just walking around Fisherman's Wharf and wanted a slice of pizza so I asked a local for someplace close and quick.... Walked in and was created by two nice gentleman. We ordered the "special" a slice with salad and a drink $8.99-we got veggie which was $1.50 more and meat lovers which was $1.50 more too. The pizza slices were made fresh and the salad was good....but the pizza didn't have much taste to it :( The service was great, restaurant was clean but there was just no great taste it was very bland.
