I brought my recently purchased pre owned vehicle in on 10/9 to have a diagnostic ran to ensure everything was good and there were no issues as I have a 90 day warranty the dealership will fix at no cost and we noticed some things that we felt should get checked out in case. I brought it in to super service since I trusted them and I know they will be very transparent and overall had great experiences in the past with them and had NO ISSUE paying the fees. I brought the car in at 9:30am was told by Joe it would take about 3-4 hours for them to run the diagnostic which was no issue at all. Then6 hours go by and I call in for an update as they had not contacted me at all and Ricky passed the phone over to Joe and he said let me give you a call back in 5 minutes so I can see where they are at. A WHOLE HOUR passes and at this point it's already getting close to closing I call back and I speak with Ricky again and he states Joe is already gone for the day as it was not his usual day to be scheduled and he was unable to provide me with an update as there was no paper work or information for him to refer to AND the tech working on the vehicle was also gone for the day. I told Ricky I was just going to pick up my car and that this was ridiculous that there was no communication whatsoever. Upon picking up my vehicle Ricky was kind enough to not charge me since he was not able to verify what they actually did which I really appreciated. The following morning I called as soon as they opened and spoke with Joe again and he explained why he needed to leave early and offered to have me bring my car in again so they can do the diagnostic at no cost for the inconvenience. I brought the car in again today and was told it would only take an hour and a half, so I decided to wait a whole hour passed by before they brought my car into the bay. I expected to receive a text message link like they have in the past to show what they inspect the link would include a 60 point check which I expected to be included in the diagnostic but I guess not. While waiting I could see my vehicle and noticed the techs were sitting and chatting and after they disappeared and my vehicle sat empty with no one inspecting it ( I get it they are busy and have other vehicles) I decided I was going to leave and come back so they can have enough time I went to go let them know I was going to head out and come back and suddenly my vehicle was done. Joe pulls up his phone with photos of the computer screen "here's your vin, mileage, and code information" he stated their printer was not working such a coincidence.... He then started explaining if a light comes on please bring it in. I asked about the tire life and he claimed everything checked out just fine. The vehicle never made it on a lift for them to inspect and the hood was never even popped open which to me seems they didn't do much inspecting... I am quite disappointed and pretty sad that I came in to a place I trusted to have my vehicle looked at to ensure there were no issues and had NO PROBLEM paying the diagnostic fees. read more

I originally took the car to a local Ford dealer and they took 4 days to look at the car and suggested I just donate it. I then called Placentia Super Service and spoke with Don. When I dropped the car off in the afternoon Jasper knew about the situation and clearly outlined the diagnosis process. Don called me the next day with a full repair estimate and timeline. Alex helped me out and he was very prompt and professional. The repair was completed in under two hours and the wait was very pleasant. A lot of shops are pretty grimy and bare bones but this shop has a very clean and comfortable waiting room. They also provided coffee, snacks and other drinks. This place is everything you're looking for when it comes to auto services. No scams. No up sales. Just the friendliest staff, the most reasonable prices, and great overall service. My wife tried this place out and then scheduled an appointment for me to go get my oil change. I walked in and was promptly welcomed. Was offered coffee, popcorn, and plenty of snacks. The TV was on ESPN and that was enough for me! On top of that they had a little charging station for your phones and free WiFi! After about 40min they called me up and went over the 60pt inspection they did on my car. Everything was great. They recommended I change my air filter, but didn't force it on me or tell me my car would break down if I didn't buy it right then and there (which has happened to me before). I had to come write a review, I only take my car to two places the one I bought it from and here. Last night I called and I usually only deal with Lorianne (the young lady upfront) she has always made me feel secure in the needed repairs and took time to explain things so good that I just went to her. However this review is really for Benjamin, I called last night because my check coolant light came on. I wanted to schedule an appt. for Friday but he urged me to come in sooner he said I would hate for something to happen to your engine as those are really costly repairs. He said bring it in, let me look at it and I can add the coolant and if needed you can return Friday. The fact that he wanted to spare my engine and was willing to see my car same day no appt. spoke volumes. I didn't make it in, but came today. He stopped what he was doing looked under the hood, added coolant, said he didn't see any holes or emergencies but thought it may be a good idea to bring it back for a more detailed inspection when time permits. He honestly could have said anything he could have said I see a leak or an issue kept my car billed me and I would have paid it because as a woman who knows nothing about cars that's the price you pay! Quoted over $3,000 for an inaccurate head gasket repair I took my vehicle to Placentia Super Service for an engine coolant leak and was quoted over $3,000 for a head gasket repair. They told me this was where my coolant leak was coming from, but I was very skeptical, and I didn't quite believe that my head gasket was leaking. So, I decided to have a second auto shop in the area take a look at my vehicle. They found that there was nothing wrong with the head gasket and it was in "excellent" condition. My original problem was actually a cracked thermostat housing, not a head gasket. When I called to question Super Service about their quote, they blew it off and told me it must have been a "misdiagnosis". $3,000 for a repair that would not have even fixed my original problem sounds like a pretty big "misdiagnosis". read more

As you guys can see I don't have much of a review history in Yelp but I was sooooo moved by the negative experience I had at Placentia Super Service that I created a Yelp account just to spread the word about this "Super Service" shop in Placentia. Just when I thought the nightmare was over, Bob (the owner) replies to my 1 star Yelp review 5 days after I posted it. Now I have to relive this nonsense and tell the Yelp community AGAIN why they should STAY AWAY from Placentia Super Service! Bob's reply happened FASTER than their Manager (Don) was able to give me a check engine diagnostic and approve the work needed. They had my car for 6 days and did nothing but give me excuses about being short staffed etc. What is happening in the world when your 1 star Yelp review gets "serviced" faster than your vehicle with a check engine light? I appreciate your reply Bob and you seem to really care about your business but you guys have some major issues to deal with. I'm sure you know that one lost/disgruntled customer leads to another. They worked on replacing my clutch and flywheel. They finished their work in 3 days. A bit pricey for over $1300, but I am a believer in "you get what you pay for". They offer a line of credit that you can apply for if you don't have the cash upfront to pay for your service. Jasper was very friendly and courteous! The only thing that bugs me is that I went underneath the car to check if everything is ok, my car has bottom cover attached with 10mm bolts, one of the bolts was not tightened all the way as it should have been. After looking for another door quickly I decided to call because they had confirmed my appointment via email. The guy that answered said "yea I saw you try the door, it's unlocked now" ummm ok isn't there a "door to remain unlocked during business hours" rule for businesses anyway? Secondly, after being asked what I was coming in for I had to wonder why I even filled out the questions online that described exactly what repair service I was in need of. I had a car diagnosis done and they sent me a link to check out what was going on with my car, it included pictures of my car parts, videos about the parts and what condition they were in. It made it very easy to understand what was happening in my car. I had a lot to be done, due to having a weathered 2011 CR-V, but they provided me with a rental car for only $10 a day! When i got my car back from them, it was leaking coolant on my way home. Very upset and disappointed by the service I got the 2nd time around with this place to replace my camera on my 2nd car. The problem was not resolved and when I called and asked for the Mgr he spoke with arrogance and interrupted me by disregarding what I was saying about my reason for calling and goes on explaining something on a car that wasn't mine and using the excuse that I had multiple cars which I don't. I finally had enough of his arrogance and told him. After a few words of angry retorts he tells me not to come back. I told him that this was the product that I bought from that company and they need to fix it. I didn't want to talk to him further but he refused to give someone else saying there's only the owner. And he won't help me, either!! I tell him he needs to learn to be more customer incline and he says he's never had problems before which I find it hard to believe. If I brought my car in he states I would have to find my own ride if they can't fix it the same day. His tone throughout the conversation never lost the aggressive and arrogance. If I didn't have to take my car back after spending $650 on camera that they replaced with warranty I wouldn't go back as he happily stated not to come back. I was really satisfied with how knowledgeable everyone here was and how willing they were to explain everything to me. When they finished the inspection they sent me a full report with photos of what was wrong and an explanation.
