Benjamin and his team are a rare gem in the car service world. My son was on his way out of state when his car lost power. The first quote he got from another repair shop was close to $4000. We were advised by another shop, who couldn't fit us in to take the car to Placentia Super Service for a second opinion, and it was great advice. The team there did not give up on the problem and instead of giving us a bogus diagnosis, they kept on and finally discovered the problem. I told them I had them & that they were all expired. They took the coupon for $42.00. My oil change was $38.00. Along with that they turned off my maintenance light, checked my whole car out, emailed me the report & handed me a hard copy. This is the best place I have ever taken my cars. They are honest, friendly & willing to explain everything in layman's terms. They have the best waiting room I have ever been in. Including Mercedes waiting rooms. They have Netflix, regular tv. Benjamin surpassed my expectations. After getting my car jump started by roadside assistance, he told me to come on over and got my car taken care of in the middle of their crazy busy schedule. I give them my car, and they said you have two options. First, fix your car in $800 or the second option to fix it for $4000. The $800 not guarantee. But, the $4000 is with guarantee. They put me in middle of two horrible choices, so I said: okay if I choose the first option that $800 and my car broke down again am I going to pay the $4000? He said: No worries! If it broke down again I will lower the price from 4 thousand dollars to $3200 which is fear. I believed him which was my mistake! Because he wanted me to thought like this: if the $800 is going to be increased from the 4 thousand if it broke again, why I don't choose to fix it with 800 and save $3200 and if it broke I'll not lose the $800 because he will give me discount, so I will be winning in anyway! That was my wrong decision. In the first week the car was broken again. I called him and told him. He said: it's okay come I'll fix it for you and I'll will cut eight hundred dollars from four thousand dollars and like that you didn't lose anything. I just felt fishy! I wasn't comfortable. I thought that this guy is playing a game, so I just left the car in my garage for 5 months and then I just showed up in his shop and gave him my car. He totally forgot what he told me! I told him what is wrong with it? After checking on the car again, he said: it needs a new transmission and it will cost $3200 ! He forgot the $4000 I told him that: when you fixed my car you said if it doesn't work, I will give you discount $800. He was confused and told me that: yes, I will but if you came back right away not after 5 months. In the beginning, the second option was $4000 and now when he forgot the game he was playing, he said 3200 dollars right away even before I mention the discount for the 800 dollar I paid. He said no I can't etc. it means that the 4 thousand dollars from the beginning wasn't true! He tried to make you do multiple things to charge you as much as he can which is shameful. I noticed in the reviews woman that said similar to my situation. He tried to let her do multiple things for her car. But, she said in her review that she took her car to another place and they told her: your car is fine! I didn't fix my car. I took it to another place close by to Euclid and they changed the transmission for $1500 . The car is running so good now for almost one month. I drive it every day and there's nothing wrong with it. Please don't believe me, and read the woman review and see how he tried to fool her like he fooled me (unfortunately) to charge you as much as he can. Like this way in business, you will receive money. But, you will lose costumers and integrity. For example, that lady will never come back, and she will make sure no one of her family or friends will deal with this place. And that what I did. I told my friends and family. One of my cosines is costumer over there. When I told him, he was surprised and told me that they must did fool him, too. He won't go back, too.now, I know another shop close by to Euclid way cheaper with good Quality and prices. Anyone need it, it's close to Walmart shopping center you just take a left from 91 freeway on Euclid almost one mile take another left on Lincoln and then it's located after two streets on the right. These guys are great. They are genuine mechanics, as well as genuine people altogether. I came in for an oil change, and to replace the shift linkage on my Mercury that a tow truck driver had broken when manually shifting my car into neutral (it's a long story) They special ordered the part, and told me to bring my car back when the part came in which was 2 days later. I brought it in, and left for work for the day. During my shift, I got a call from Don who stated the part received was incomplete, and they'll need to special order another piece to be able to fully install. Mind you I've already paid for this service in advance, but due to the fact they needed to keep my car in their garage an extra day, they provided me a loaner car, as well as ordered the missing piece of the shift linkage and did not charge me extra for EITHER. These are stand up guys, and I will definitely continue to utilize their services. Also, just like other reviewers here have stated, they email/text a detailed inspection and list all areas that your car may need improvement when you get routine work done like an oil change. On top of that, they text you occasionally, simply checking up on how your car is running after they've worked on it. They are hungry for your business. And they deserve it. My Ford Expedition third row seats were failing. After doing numerous attempts to fix them, I gave up and called our local Ford Dealer for help. The help was going to cost $240 to have them run a diagnostic. The cost of the diagnostic would be used to fulfill the cost of their findings. In essence, a cost that at this time I could not afford to pay. I then did a YELP search and this place came up with an almost five start review. So, I decided to call and JOE answered the call, he asked me several questions and quoted me at almost half of the dealers quote. I took it and went with it. They fixed my issue and also did a full recommendations on other fixes and maintenance my car should have. Not only did they do a superb job, cost me much less but they also offered me a courtesy ride to and from my home while they wrapped things up. Rae Ann was very sweet and professional. I so badly want to rate this place 5 stars because they are so sweet and as far as I know they do a great job. However, after bringing my car here twice I've been disappointed with their lack of communication both times. When dropping off my car I was told it'd take around 2 hours. After waiting 4.5 hours and not hearing back I gave them a call and was told it'd probably take another hour. After waiting another 3 hours I called another time right before they closed and was told my car was finally finished. I understand that sometimes things can take longer than expected, but there's a big difference between 2 hours and 7 hours. Obviously I don't want them to rush their work, but an update would be nice. It was frustrating waiting around all day and canceling plans because I didn't have my car. After taking my car here twice for the same problem without them fixing it, I finally took it to the dealer to see if they could solve the issue. It took them 1 hour to fix it and they covered it under a recall for no cost. Never again will I mess around with a mechanic that obviously doesn't understand how my vehicle works. I wasted several hundred dollars here over two visits and they did absolutely nothing to solve my problem. read more

Brought my Audi in with ticking sounds coming from the engine. Placentia Super Service (PSS) diagnosed the problem as a spun bearing and the only remedy was a complete engine replacement for 15k! PSS told me that Audi may offer me goodwill assistance since it was just out of warranty so I can try taking it to the dealer. I decided to take it to my Audi dealership for a second opinion and they confirmed the diagnosis with the same repair quote of 15k, however, Audi did step up and offered to cover 80% of the replacement engine after inquiring about goodwill assistance via the tip from PSS. So while I can't review PSS repair work since I ultimately went with the dealer for repairs, the diagnosis and cost were the same and the tip from PSS saved me thousands! Thanks PSS! read more

My husband ran over a curb. Our car is a Honda Accord Sport. We knew the axle was broke. Called places and they were the only one of two who would even give an estimate if it was just the axle. I had called Honda quote was just about the same. The huge difference is Honda guaranteed is for 12k or 1 yr. Super Center was 36k or 3yrs. No Brainer there. We thought we would just pay out if pocket if under $1000. Due to the low clearance on the Sport model it was far more extensive. In comes the insurance claim. With the horrendous weather we have had getting an adjuster to approve the claim became a lengthy process. Extremely understaffed. Car insurance had to accept the fact we wanted our car done there. Don at Suoer Center had to spend 8 hours to just get the mechanical problems approved and resubmit until everything was the way it should be. Insurance wanted to use aftermarket and used parts. Some were ok some were not with Don. He fought for us to get new parts where they absolutely should not have used parts on. Next Super Center does not do body work. Do not let that deter you if you need themfor the mechanical. Don works with a body shop that is down the street. I never even had to interact with them. Every single person from Lori at the front desk to Benjamin and I believe one other, and of course Don were extremely kind, patient. Leave a message it is returned in a timely manner. Very easy people to work with. When there was a stall on the adjuster getting back I reached out to my insurance and the problem got resolved. We all worked together to get this done. Don, the Service Manager, is extremely honest and helpful. I dropped my vehicle off to the PSS team on Wednesday, August 26 for an oil change and alignment. Don offered to check to see if my car needed an alignment at no cost! Turns out I didn't need an alignment after all. In all honesty, they rip off the price of repair, took my car in that was having alternator problems just to get a second opinion and asked how much to get it done I was told for an alternator and battery replace it would cost 1200$ an outrageous price I ordered the factory battery and Alternator from Nissan and replaced it my self took an hour and cost me 264$ for factory parts even with labor included a 900$ difference doesn't really make sense to me read more
