Since I work 3rd shift I'm awake at strange hours on my day off. This is one of the few places I can visit for something to do. I've even purchased my own ball because of this. The building is always clean. I wish they had more food and drink options during those late hours but I fully understand you can't keep a kitchen open 24hrs. So this is my first time here on a Sunday with hubby and sisi. This place is huge and updated as it's more upscale than a typical bowling alley. Must say we really had good time eating, exploring and playing. I'm big foodie so I tired different items... Wings was on Point, catfish is good and so is the burger. Director of Fun was a really funny lady, she helped us to pick our drinks from their large selection at Scratch bar. Heard about their Bad Bowlers Club on Wednesday nights which I might join! Okay. So. it's a BOWLING ALLEY. I realize that we now all think we are too cool for smelly shoes, entering in our own names for the score board, and thrusting our fingers into balls where thousands of others have also placed their unwashed digits. So if you are too cool for this now-nostalgic experience, stay away at all costs. Having just come from a way-too-crowded Main Event, my family literally balked when we drove up (without even going inside!). They commented on the seedy area and even my 14-year old brother sighed, "It's next to a PAWN SHOP. Ew.". So even though I had called ahead to see if they had a wait (no wait!), my Dad wanted to "check it out" to make sure it was OK. Back to reality. Plano Super Bowl is a good ol' bowling alley, exactly as you remember it. It comes with fighting for the perfect ball, dealing with drunk 30-somethings alongside the awkward teenage group dates, and the silly animations when you thow a strike or get a split. Rates are by the hour (I think $25) or by the game ($4.25/person/game) so depending on how fast your group can bowl, one may be better than the other. My group of 5 got in one game plus 4 bowls into a second one. Shoe renting I think was $5 a person, too. The costs added up quickly. Luckily, beer was cheap! I got a pint of Shiner Bock for $3.50... a nice change from the $6 or $7 prices I'd been encountering at other places. The place is run by youngens, and things have obviously stayed the same for a long time...bathrooms could use some fixing up, and I guess things overall just seem old. But as long as you're not expecting the snazzy new experience some places are offering, I think it's OK. My family commented on the flat screens for scores, and my sister liked that it wasn't smokey like some bowling alleys can be. Love this place and all the people there.There is difference between going bowling more being a bowler. Real bowlers understand this. Management is first class and better. First timer at this alley on a Friday morning at 9:00 am. Had to lower the stars because of customer service. Did research online on rates and indicated that mondays thru fridays you could either do per game or per hour. We arrived and asked the only gentleman working the counter on rates. He said it was only by the hour at $22.95 and $5 for shoes. We returned a moment later after walking the site to purchase our lane by the hour as indicated by the gentleman. Didn't purchase shoes because we have bowled before and we had our own shoes and our own balls. Lanes: 5 stars, well oiled Cleanliness of alley: 5 stars Game room: 5 stars Customer service: 2 stars found out by clarification via telephone on The following day (Saturday) that the website is correct and the gentleman who helped us was incorrect (and in our opinion was probably hustling us). We really wanted to just play per game so it is unfortunate that this gentleman wasn't truthful about the rates. Not sure we want to return to an alley who has shady employees. read more

prejudice... my group came in just trying to have a good time.. we arrived about 1 hour before the bar closed to grab drinks and then decided to bowl after. The guy that was checking people in (I was told his name was Donald) was pretty rude from the start of us trying to get a lane. We had a group of 7 people and were there to celebrate a friends birthday who isn't in the best health at the moment. From the start we could tell that we were being watched in a way that no one else was as we were all alternative people of color. Donald kept micro managing our game and said we couldn't use the lighter weight balls because they "were for kids" i rebutted and said we have smaller set women in our group and he responded with "if they can't lift more than 8 lbs they shouldn't be bowling" which is crazy because several other lanes (grown ups) were using the exact same weight of balls and weren't being met with the same disruption as us is crazy.. definitely felt like we were being targeted when we were nothing but kind to the staff we tipped on every transaction because we were all service industry and know how it goes. Seems that doesn't matter... Our friend in question happens to be a male and is severely underweight and has a declining health issue.. instead of hearing us out Donald stops our game and starts making rude remarks to our group after I had just paid to extend our time to just finish our game (could tell he didn't want us there)... after trying to see what the issue was we were met with rude remarks and he decided to get in my fiancés face which I also find funny because he didn't dare to do that with any males in our group.. honestly if you have rules I understand it but don't be selective with who you enforce them with. I work and bar manage in an entertainment type setting and never have we've been like this with any customer... this was supposed to be an escape from a harsh reality that might be but we were only met with judgment and prejudice... ALSO BOWLERO IN GARLAND IS ONE OF THE BEST BOWLING ALLEYS IN DFW JUST GO THERE... really wanted to like this place since it is a unique cool concept... but you know what they say the people make the place and the people here are NOT it.. read more

We have been to this location many times and were put on the list to bowl each time. Our group wanted to bowl on the specials days so it was either a Sunday or Tuesday night. We would wait from 1 to 2 hours, and were never given a lane because the man at the front counter would give away any available lane to others who came after us. Anytime we would ask about lanes or had a different question, the man would act very rude and would roll his eyes at us. Sometimes he would even cut us off before we start talking. Today we were first on the list to bowl after league was finished. However, after he let other people cut in front of us, we were pushed down to #6 on the list. Because of so many inconveniences, lack of professionalism, and the obvious favoritism towards others, we will not be going back to Plano Super Bowl. read more

I came along 6 of my friends who were visiting from San Francisco. We came to play bowling first time today at your location at 11:32 pm and we were to told to wait 20 minutes but we weren't given any lane until 12:20 am . And when we ask them the front office guy why he was calling others who came after us and booked . He told us it's not our turn. And when when our number was up we wanted to know the details which weren't provided to us and when we requested that we are 6 people can we get two lanes . We were told that it's his choice and he can't give 2 lanes and we showed him multiple lanes which were open and no was playing . Even after insisted he told he wouldn't give us . Over all we had very bad experience at your location . I don't know why we were treated that way is it because of color or anything else . But sadly, it was disappointing. read more

This is THE place to bowl if you are an avid bowler. So many pros bowl here. PSB has the best lanes in town; they are consistent in keeping them well oiled. Plano Super Bowl...you are not like the bowling alleys I grew up with. For starters it's huge and has way more "amenities" than the tiny places I've been before in the area. This place is huge and fairly kept clean for it's size. The staff is kinda surly but who wouldn't be when you have tons of people renting bowling shoes, wanting to pay individually and also complain about the fact that their names doesn't appear in full. Was very excited to go once the remodel was done. Looks very nice but unfortunately the service has gone totally down hill! The people at the front desk were rude. There were a ton of lanes open but we had to wait and they would not give us 2 lanes. And wouldn't give a reason. Just like it was too much of a bother. And DON'T EAT THERE! They used to have the best chicken fingers and biscuits. Now the food is horrible and EXPENSIVE! I came to Plano Super Bowl this past Saturday night and had my night completely ruined by the bartender I walked up to the bar with my friend to grab a drink (granted it's my 23rd bday) and she immediately was rude to me about having my ID and telling me I was underage. I then said fine I will have my ID for you and whatever else and she refused. I then may have called her a choice word to my friend over the phone which made her call the cops on me. She then refused to serve me and every one I was with just because of her personal opinion. I talked with the GM about her shortly after and he said he's been having problems with her as well and I even heard some guy was trying to slap her. I didn't appreciate being targeted by some big bully. Will never return maybe she should work at the DMV. She'd fit in. read more

The first time I went it was a coworkers night so it was cool but anytime I've tried to go the wait is always a time they can't give you and then they have special nights where they basically let people hog the lanes all night without a time limit! I've tried multiple times on multiple nights to bowl here and can't because they don't give people limits on lanes! read more

Serious management issues here people. Our team bowls several nights a week and it takes forever to get service (food, beer and food). Last we actually had to call from our cell phone to the front desk as to why the server has not came to our table for an order. This was already 90 minutes. The lazy desk manager said ok, then after 6 more minutes of nothing we sent our team lead down and he was told to "chill out" and he was over reacting because the ladies have 500 people to handle. Um, first off 3 people per team at 46 lanes = 138 bowlers, plus a few friends so we doubt no more than 160 people. Second, this is a good point - 2 servers and 1 bartender for 160 people is obviously understaffed. Third, as our lead pointed out the lazy fat morons standing at the service desk are obviously not doing anything but BS with chicks, hands in packets and cell phone games. Solution - Fire both male staff behind desk, then hire 4 new people. One good desk person can handle this and then put 2 new servers and one more bartender on the same shift. Also, stop using the intercom, it is a distraction or at least train people on how to use it!! 5 starts to the equipment, lanes and leagues -3 stars for the lack of management and service Last, as a professional in the food industry I will be calling my friends in Plano health Dept. Heard great things about the remodel, and I hadn't been in at least 10 years. I WONT GO BACK 3 guys 1 girl on lane 36 were taking tequila shots when we came up; we were on lane 37. There were several glasses on the table already and an empty pitcher of beer. Within 10 minutes of our arrival it was clear they were drunk. All of them were obviously very intoxicated. They started talking really loudly. Then came over and accused my wife of stealing their iPhone. The iPhone was at the front desk. At one point an employee came to clean their table with a spray cleaner and one of the men accused the employee (John)of spraying him with windex. The employee tried to ignore him but the intoxicated customer persisted until the lady they were with came and pulled him away. The customer was stumbling and had very red eyes and a belligerent attitude. One of the other men pushed his way over to my sister to talk to her. I had to ask him to step away. They were using a lot of profanity and accusing us of many things. We had been here less than 30 minutes when all of this took place. At that point I went to the manager (Mark) on duty and told him that the people on lane 36 have been over served and that they need to ask them to leave. He didn't say anything to me but came over and observed. The manager never got involved to try and assist the situation. Then another one of the drunk patrons called my sister a "smug fat bitch". The lady they were with intervened again and took them out of the bowling alley. My sister went to the person at the front desk and told them that they were over-served and that they were leaving to get into vehicles. The staff did nothing to stop them. After they were gone I talked to our server (Corina) about how they were over-served and she denied over serving them. She said that they hadn't had that much and that she kept some of their shots at the bar because they had had enough. She took no responsibility at all. In spite of what she told me she later indicated that she had been their server for hours before we arrived and that their tab was over $100 for the four of them. They clearly had had a lot to drink and, although she denies over-serving, the sever told me the that they had a lot to drink and that she wasn't able to keep an eye on them. Furthermore, the staff did nothing to stop the situation or prevent them from driving. They also did not do anything to accommodate us or check to see that we were okay. It is not an understatement when I say that my family (wife, sister, and 3 kids) were concerned for our safety and nearly called the police especially when it became obvious that the staff was largely indifferent to the situation. Establishments that serve alcohol have an obligation to the public to maintain a safe environment for the public they serve. It is my belief that this place does not take this responsibility seriously. read more

I visit this place often. It is popular in the evenings and especially on the weekends. There is a full bar that is open until 2 am. The lanes are pretty well maintained and the is plenty of space at each lane. The music could usually good on the weekend, however late at night be prepared to hear classic rock or country music. Overall, if you like to bowl, this is the place to go. If you like to bowl late, this is the ONLY place to go. read more

Not bad, but definitely some issues. My coworkers and I came to PSB every Friday for the lunch & bowl special before the remodel and always brought 8-12 people and all got food/drinks/whatever. We stopped coming eventually. We decided to go again for another Friday after all the renovations and changes they've made. The advertisement for lunch & bowl says "$14.95 for 1 hour, shoes and meal; $9.95 for additional bowler". We came with 8 people today and each paid for our own stuff (because we're coworkers and not a family or something). Four people were charged $9.95 while the other four were charged $14.95, it seemed like the guy at the front was charging us randomly. Turns out that it's $14.95 for the first bowler on each lane, and the guy gave us 3 lanes for 8 people which is totally not necessary (and still doesn't make sense, because four of us paid the extra $5, not 3). Regardless, we paid and got our food. I tried to get a cup of water, but they apparently charge for just a cup of water... why? Like we're paying you over $100 for an hour of bowling and lunch and you can't give a free cup of water? Eventually after we explained that this is not the way to drum up business and get return customers, they gave some of us the $5 difference between the costs, but it still felt like we weren't treated well. read more

Yikes came here just once and never again. Bowling place was basically empty when we came in. And i felt like we were being watched over by some older lady who works there. Well I wasn't wrong, because she was and she proceeded to be extremely rude to us ?? (my bf and I). As someone who works in customer service, what makes you think being rude to customers is gonna get you anywhere? They're the ones paying for your salary. The lady was being rude to us by telling us we were bowling "wrong." I'm sure she was just trying to bother us for no reason especially since we bowled hundreds of times before so this is a FIRST. Renovations are now finished and the work they've put in to this place is just what Plano Super Bowl needed. They have a brand new bar, better seating area and a good size arcade/games corner. It was packed and busy during Saturday night but we were never left with our glasses empty. I'm so proud of this place as I have been coming here since I moved to Plano. read more

Newly renovated and it looks great! Has a separate arcade area (although many games didn't work), much cleaner and even has a VIP/private section. Went here for a bday party. Loved the private room as we had many kids roaming everywhere but with the enclosed space it was great. The party room is large! I will definitely consider having my kids bday parties here, it was fantastic! Everything went smoothly. Food was great, bar was prompt and reasonable. read more

Actually had a chance to try out the newly remodeled Scratch Kitchen at Plano Super Bowl. I ordered the Gyro Sandwich. Very nice and tasty and comes with a side of fries. You order at the bar and the staff delivers table side. The whole center has been renovated, inside and out. This place looks completely different than what it did a few years ago. Their remodel is pretty cool. Wide variety of beers available on tap and with the option of getting them by the pitcher. Pricing can be complicated but just let the staff know how many people you have. They were able to guide is with picking a package good for our situation of 9 people. We went on Christmas Day so there wasn't really a wait. The bathrooms are hidden in the very right (next to the bar) of the location. Pretty clean facilities. read more

But this is a 24/7 alley with great specials making it a super-fun place to do group bowling. Seriously they have figured out the party game and the party pricing and do well on both accounts. The staff that was working tonight (12/16) was absolutely terrible. The only exception would be the kind lady behind the counter that explained we would have unlimited bowling for our 9 people for 2 lanes. One of the staff who we assumed was the "manager" came to our lanes and demanded we have our masks on. We are all service industry so while we understand the covid mandated rules, there were MUCH better ways to have approached us than demanding us. This apparently began to cause issues and they were on alert to kick us out as soon as they could. Our game ran out of time and when we went to ask for the reasoning or if we could extend our time, the "manager" immediately ignored us and was talking on his microphone. He turned around and told me and my friend that he was dealing with some "homeless guy". Not that it was any of our business, nor did we care, we were just trying to get our time extended. He told us that the only way he would give us our unlimited time (that we paid $75 for) was if we all wore our masks. My friend then went to communicate that with the group and the manager I was standing with continued to talk to the homeless man (who clearly wasn't homeless, he just had a backpack on and asked how much it was to play because NO ONE was behind the counter) and he proceeded to tell him it was THIRTY DOLLARS AN HOUR and trying to tell him he had to leave. I was already irritated and my boyfriend had walked up, now questioning whoever this staff member was, that why it was an issue to get our time extended. He immediately refused and told us we had to leave. He said he refused to give us a refund when we had only been there an hour and had paid $75 for unlimited bowling. The entire staff was extremely rude to us. One of the staff members was NOT wearing a mask but was enforcing us to do so when there was literally no social distancing between lanes. The whole visit was misleading on what was expected during covid. We will gladly tell our service industry friends to choose another bowling ally and spend their well earned money elsewhere. read more

This is an East Plano staple. Located at the intersection of Park and Ave. K, right behind the DART rail station, is the unassuming edifice of the Plano Super Bowl. It may not look like much from the outside, and well, doesn't look like much on the inside, but the bowling and beer are cheap and the food is delicious and moderately priced. Really can't go wrong. They've got 97 cent Sundays, when each game you bowl is only 97 cents, from 11am to 4pm. Often they continue the rate well into the evening, just depends on the management. Any other time the games aren't very pricey, though the exact price escapes me due to the next topic. For the beer drinkers, you can buy a pitcher of Bud Light, Miller Lite, or Coors Light, for only $8. I don't know how much any other alcohol costs because with a deal like that I've never ordered anything but a pitcher of Bud Light, but next time I'll go ahead and ask. The food is good, especially the hot dogs, which are 99 cents on Mondays. They also carry the typical bowling alley food stuffs, such as hamburgers, nachos, sandwiches, etc. And, if none of that entices your taste buds, you can always cross the street for Whataburger, which is always open 24 hours. Just don't bring your food back to the bowling alley, they will stop you. Also, as a result of Plano's smoking ban, you're no longer permitted to smoke inside the building or within twenty feet of an entrance. Used to be you could only smoke at the bar, which is an enclosed space, leaving the lanes smoke-free, which was pleasant. Now, smokers get to go stand in the parking lot, far from the door. Oh boy. If you've never been bowling, looking to have a cheap date, or just really enjoy drinking beer at low prices, I strongly suggest the Plano Super Bowl. I go for the karaoke. Pretty laid back KJ. No sign-up slips, just verbally request it. Decent song selection. Acoustics aren't great. I basically had to "swallow" the mic to be heard, and I typically have a powerful voice that carries. But this could be corrected by the KJ, maybe he just doesn't know how. Food was better than usual, for a bowling alley. Good menu too for a dive bar. They do charge for soda refills. I don't drink, but my fiancé said the bar wasn't too pricey. Although he did mention that the bartender was slow as molasses. read more

Unfriendly to families! My daughter was charged 50 cents for a cup of water. When we refused to pay we were told to walk all way across the building to a badly working fountain. Lanes are ok at best. Every other table forced to sit very far from lanes. Will not ever come back. read more

A great place for bowling and the bowling atmosphere. They've made it look more modern than what it looked like five or so years ago and did a good job. My wife and I took the kids one Saturday and got a lane quickly. We ordered some food which tasted good and the kids had a great time bowling. If you go bowling this would be where I'd go. read more

We loved you Plano Super Bowl!! I was a little worried when I pulled into the parking lot and saw the old building, but my doubts were put to rest shortly! We went here with a group of 16. $20/couples special for the summer got each couple- 2 hours of bowling, 1 large pizza w/1 topping, shoe rentals, and 2 drinks. WOW!!!! Now that is some cheap fun. Please keep this deal, because it will keep us coming back for more. Our group reserved 4 lanes and we even had our own waitress. Beers were $2.75. At about 9 pm the strobe lights came on and the real fun started. Later we headed to the bar for karaoke and billiards. This was an awesome experience and we will be back.. read more
