We stayed here as a room block for our wedding in livermore. Upon first starting to work with the Marriott my experience was HORRIBLE. Vicky Robertson was one of THE hardest people to work with. She was inefficient, never had enough information, never returned calls or emails, forgot to even BLOCK my rooms after my executed contract went out (i found out a whole MONTH later when wedding guests started calling to inform me that Marriott had no record of the block!) She also was SO slow in her work that the pool area got booked right out from under us! She suggested that area for a great site for our rehearsal dinner- poolside. Only after I started to push harder for her to get me information and actually get the ball rolling...waiting to hear back from her for a WEEK..she emailed back to say it was booked..???..needless to say i was ready to take my business elsewhere. With my frustration boiling and not having any other good options as far as hotels (we toured the others and no other lobby was as impressive) I contacted the General Manager (Norvil) and was put in contact Geoff and Mariam the Marriott definitely started to make a turn for the better. They were on the ball, knew what they were doing, returned emails promptly that included all the information i asked for and i was confident that my guests and I would actually enjoy our stay. And upon meeting Norvil in person (the G.M), he was genuinely interested in helping to make our stay great. All our requests were completed with a smile- they kept the bar open for us after our wedding which were were so appreciative for and overall was an awesome stay. Hopefully Vicky is no longer with the company, because honestly, if she was the only indicator we had of how this hotel operates...i would tell the world to steer. clear!!! I just returned from Pleasanton and the Marriott in Pleasanton was fantastic. It is completely renovated and was conveniently situated right off the freeway. It was clean and quiet with extremely professional and friendly staff. It actually felt like a boutique hotel. I ate in the restaurant when I arrived Friday evening around 10 P.M. and my meal was prompt and delicious. The bed was comfortable and they had every ammenity I needed. I will recommend this hotel to everyone and will probably stay there again when I return to San Francisco. read more

i rate this place a 3.5. the lobby is designed well, but the room left much to be desired. I have stayed at a lot of Marriott hotels, and never had a front desk agent explained to me the additional charge they make if you pay with a debit card. I am well aware of policy, but I had to research it myself. The room was great with a big bed with deliciously soft down comforters. At night we heard everything that was going on in the hallways because the door had a crack at the bottom so we had to cover it with towels to keep out the light and sound. The fire alarm was flashing the entire night because it's placed on the right side of the bed so that was annoying. The bathroom was surprisingly huge, but our bathroom door had this painted over dent. The room in the tv was fuzzy, so we'd have to adjust the cables in the back for a clear picture. Overall I was happy with the stay...it could be better, but it wasn't enough for me to not want to ever come back. Stoneridge is across the street, it's near the 580 fwy, and plenty of convenience shopping within less than a mi. Being woman who likes to shop...all the negatives don't matter because shopping is near! read more

My FIVE stars are for the Bartender Joshua, he made our night worth being there. My brother, his girlfriend and I were TRICKED into coming to a sales (pyramid scheme) presentation in the Danville room last night and were all stuck there for way over an hour. To ease our pain we recieved 4 free beverage vouchers that we could use at the bar. As soon as the presentation was over we jetted to the bar to get our drinks. The bartender of the night was Joshua, he was really nice and accomodating. He was also funny and we ended up having great conversation with him. We started there around 9 and stayed until past closing just talking to him. He definitely made our night better :) read more

We stayed here a few weeks ago when we were in town for a sports event, and it was a great experience on all levels. The staff was great: the folks at the front desk were friendly, and L'Oreal the bartender / room service server was especially fantastic. The room is typical full-service Marriott, and it was up-to-date and very clean. I liked the A/V set-up and was able to play DVDs for the kids through the provided RCA jacks with no problems. The food service was also good. We had the breakfast buffet both days and it was fine, though I wonder where the omelet bar guy went the second day. Room service showed up quickly, and the food was good quality and arrived hot. Plus the bar served some of the best chicken wings I have ever eaten. The location is good, and it is pretty close to the freeway. There is not much within walking distance, but the mall and BART station are just a few minutes away by car (or the hotel shuttle). I come to the area a few times a year for business, and this is going to be my new go-to hotel! read more

Beautifully updated modern hotel, very friendly staff (especially Arturo!) who went above & beyond to make our stay special on our Anniversary with a beautiful card signed by the staff and a gift bag of champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, picture frame and other sweets! We stayed on the top floor, Concierge level. The complimentary drinks & snacks, light evening meal and breakfast were a great perk and really quite good. The pool/spa area was nice and had newer padded lounge chairs and a great shaded sitting area as well - it's a basic pool/spa, nothing fancy like at the larger Marriott resorts but we weren't expecting that at this location. ALL of the staff at the front desk, bar and lobby area were extremely friendly and very polite as we would come and go. They were always sure to greet us with a genuine smile, ask how our day was and if they could help us with anything. Next time we stay in the East Bay we'll definitely come back to this Marriott! read more

Well, I guess I found out why a 3 1/2 star hotel is only averaging 3 stars on Yelp. 1. IF you need Wifi, you have to pay $10 or use their business center desktop down in the lobby which has a very slow wifi signal some days. Their Wifi signal for lobby guests does not work for personal laptops Considering the Marriot in Walnut Creek gives a access code for use in their room and even the crappy Motel 6 chain charges only $3 for their WiFi access, I'm giving this location 2 stars. 2. The hallway light in the room didn't work 3. Parking is very limited on weekends 4. It's a bit remote to other dining locations IF you choose not to order in which will run you about $20 - $40 depending on what you eat 5. Housekeeping at 10:30 a.m. on weekends 6. Staff are not especially friendly Positives: 1. There are electrical outlets by the lamps on the night stands 2. There's a refrigerator under the t.v. 3. Paid over 300$ a night for a king on the cocierge level. Ended up in a queen on the first floor with a key to the concierge level. Room was to small for all the furnature they stuffed in, broken toilet seat, shower heads way to low. Staff couldn't update my info, said I had to go online. Will not visit again. I came back to lower this review my 1 star but it was already at one star. Called front desk asked for shaving cream, some guy says yeah we have that come on down. Go down to front desk to get told they don't have any and housekeeping will bring it up to me. Thanks dude for actually checking... "good work". A last minute stay brought me to yelp to find a hotel and we chose this location. Between a call-in booking and checking in...they couldn't seem to get it straight! It was clean, but the overall experience was weak! I will say that the add-on breakfast is worth it, one of the better experiences...but as far as service...they could definitely improve! Great location to the mall and freeway, did not go to the pool because there was a soccer tournament that weekend and far to many kids to relax! When I got to my room, I couldn't find the TV remote....I needed to check the sports scores! So I called down to the front desk and they said someone would bring one right up! Needless to say, they never showed up! I was frustrated with the lack of professionalism as they find not even call to explain. I won't be back! read more

Stayed here from May 14-17th. I am a platinum elite member, the highest Marriott level so I have vast experience at Marriott's across US. This property has the smallest rooms of any Marriott I have ever stayed at. My closet was a closet made only for an ironing board, I am serious. I had to take the ironing board out and i could barely hang up 5-6 pieces of clothing. Horrible! It was a handicap room (there are only 4 and they are larger than the regular rooms so I cannot even imagine how small the regular rooms are. DO NOT get a handicap room if you need closet space. The closet is maybe 6 inches deep but you must remove the ironing board. Seriously the worst closet space and room ever at a Marriott anywhere in the US, bar none. No Happy hour for drinks only for some food. Great location and very friendly staff. We stayed here because it was dog friendly. Great hotel for bringing your dogs. You can have multiple dogs or one dog but they cannot be over 40 lbs. There are plenty of grass areas for dogs to go potty. Perfect hotel for dogs. I would absolutely stay here if you have dogs. If you expect a decent size room you are not going to like this property although they are remodeling their rooms but the size of the rooms will not increase. There are no suites. read more

The people there are friendly and I received excellent service, especially at the dining areas, the breakfast restaurant and the bar that serves food for the rest of the day after breakfast. They truly have service with a genuine smile and it's great to talk to them and get to know them. It is a very nice hotel with very upscale decor, relaxing lighting and the rooms are very nice. Only spent one night at this hotel, so I wasn't able to use all the amenities. There are some good and bad points to this place. Pros: Price was good once you deduct the pet fee. The fee is one-time, so I got screwed a bit by only staying the one night. Had I stayed over a long weekend it would have been a much smaller percentage of the bill. They allowed two dogs and they don't seem to have a size restriction. (Mine are medium size). Rooms were generally very good. The bathroom is large, the beds are comfortable and nicely appointed. There didn't appear to be a way to connect to the internet other than wireless, so that might be an issue for some. Fitness center is top notch. Large, has numerous machines and free weight area with TVs on the cardio and big screen for others. Water, fruit, towels all provided for your workout. Pool and deck area are good too. Business center had plenty of seating, but only two computers and a printer. Separate computer/printer by ATM is for flight check in and boarding passes. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Cons: Only one way in or out of hotel, so you may be walking from the back to the front to get in. That's somewhat annoying when you need to "run out to the car" for somethingl. Buffet was good, but it was also free for my stay. Had it not been free, I think it would be a little expensive. They did have an omelet station though, so there is an extra level there that many buffets do not have at hotels. Noise level was average. read more

I went for a conference and it was ok. The meeting room was comfortable, got a little hot but I saw them checking the temp and adjusting it through the night. Service was pleasant and efficient. The food was quite average. Appetizers were decent, quesedillas, stuffed mushrooms, eggrolls, the usual. Forks would have been useful. Green salad was boring, with a little Parmesan, a few croutons, and iceberg lettuce. The dinner was a mixed bag, it had a really weird tasting spinach thing mixed with something sour, tasted like rhubarb. The broccoli was perfunctory. The chicken was dry. The salmon was the best part of the plate, not overcooked and really quite good. The dessert was a chocolate pudding cake bigger than a hockey puck. Nobody at the table finished it. It's an ok place to have a work meeting, but I wouldn't use it for a fancier event, the food isn't fabulous. read more

Really nice room...clean, and quiet. Here for a Raiders game, and it is nice to come here and relax before game time. Excellent food and service in the accompanied lounge/restaurant. We will be back! Parking and the drive from the airport were very easy and convenient. About a 15 minute drive from there. read more

PERFECT FOR WEDDINGS! I was able to reserve this place for my wedding early enough to get the free shuttle for the handful of people from out of town who didn't rent a car. They were able to take the Bart to this hotel and then the shuttle to my wedding. Note**** They do offer a shuttle service from the Bart (train station) however it's MUCH FASTER to simply walk here. The shuttle took 30 mins to arrive at the Bart and the walk is like 5 minutes. Unless you're unable to walk, just walk here from the Bart! OK, so all of my wedding guests that stayed here absolutely loved their stay! (and the price) I also loved the huge lounge area. I came here after the wedding in my wedding dress and guests lounged around and had some drinks. The hotel rooms were clean and quiet. Nothing over the top but definitely way more than we expected. We were so impressed with the service. Especially the valet guy at the door, he is very enthusiastic and takes his job seriously. They have 2 shuttles for weddings and 1 wedding suite. Unfortunately, we booked too late and didn't get the wedding suite but we did manage to get one of the shuttles (not the 9 person new one, but an older 6 person one). Guests loved the shuttle service to and from the wedding (Elliston Vineyards) and had ZERO COMPLAINTS. Perfect spot for weddings. Can't say it enough! We were married June 30th, 2013 read more

I was working and staying in the hotel as an employee of a conference being held at the inn. I felt really taken care of by the staff, had no problems with my room, the food, the banquet, or the front desk staff. Everyone went out of there way to take care of any requests that we needed in the meeting room. They also have free meeting room and guest internet access which was really helpful for our group. I highly recommend both holding meetings here and staying as a guest. They have complementary buffet meals for guests and a full kitchen in the rooms if you are staying longer term. read more

And let me tell you, if you are interviewing here, get one of the normal looking chairs bc the cool looking ones are taller and you get in this awkward situation where you can't touch the ground unless you lean crazy forward! I love you, Marriott! I've never had a less-than-stellar stay at a Marriott. This explains why I am a loyal guest. I used my Marriott app on my iPad to book this spot about 10 miles from where we were on our road-trip. Amazing rate, close to our thoroughfare. The check-in service is always friendly and accommodating. I have status with Marriott, and even though I am sure they treat everyone well, I always feel like a VIP here. We got the top floor, a beautiful room, in a beautifully remodeled property, with perks, which I'm sad we didn't use. The bedding at every Marriott I've stayed at to date is top-notch. I am a linen-snob, and my bed at home is my standard, Marriott always matches my standard, fresh, soft, cozy linens and beds. Please keep it up, Marriott! You make traveling extra awesome! read more

Upon staying here my vehicle was broken into. Both windows smashed out and over 6K worth of personal property stolen. This happened right in the Marriott parking lot. I do not recommend this hotel, the security is bad and there is basically nothing they will do as there are signs posted everywhere stating they are not responsible for stolen property. Do not stay here unless you want to be a victim, i have stayed at several hotels and this has never happened before. The police stated it is very common in that area. read more

Overall nice hotel for the price. Was given 2 free breakfast buffets coupons. (Great breakfast). rooms were clean, up to date except for popcorn ceilings. Service was good, bar selection was good. Biggest issue I had was: I accumulated enough credits for 1 night. (We booked 3). I let them know to apply the credit for the 1 night when I checked in. On day of check out I received bill and no credit was given. I went down to receptionist and she said she would take care of. We left, checked my bank statement when I arrived home 5hrs later. They charged all 3 days. Wtf??? I called asked for manager, to no avail she passed my info to manager tomorrow. Truly upset. Been coming here for a couple years. Will be taking my business else where. Received my credit back. No call from manager though. I would go back again, they just need to check details a bit more. Overall I would go back. read more

I wrote a review about a year ago, I guess it was taken down but to reiterate. Front desk staff was the issue. Rooms were fine I have no trouble with that. I flew in for a wedding and my cousin and I were coming out of state, his flight was landing earlier so when I booked and paid for the room I used his name so he would be able to check in with the addition of also adding my name and a note that I would be staying as well. His flight was delayed where in turn, I arrived first to the hotel. They would not let me check in since he wasn't there, it was clear even though I paid for it on my credit card they made me sit and wait until his delayed flight arrived. That. I've stay here when I'm visting my in-laws. It's conveniently located near the freeway, shopping, and restaurants. Rooms are updated to the latest Marriott standards: flat screen TV, down bedding, granite countertops. My husband said the hotel used to be a Radisson years ago--they've clearly upgraded the place. Decent gym with a few treadmills, stairmasters, exercise balls, and free weights. Service is pleasant. Breakfast is OK but not great. I gave this place 3 stars for two reasons: 1) This is going to sound weird, but the hotel room doors LOUDLY slam shut. It's so loud that the first time I heard my neighbor's door slam, I thought someone was actually banging on OUR door. I have been awakened several times by neighbors who are simply closing their doors after a late night out. These aren't wild kids slamming doors, either. Marriott needs to adjust the door springs or install some type of dampener. 2) Coffee used to be complementary at all times. They recently decided to chargefor coffee on the weekends. (I paid $4.50 for a large cup of coffee. I should've gone to SBUX down the street!) On weekdays, it's free. *shrug* Not sure why. I can't really complain too much because it's a pretty inexpensive place to stay during the weekend ($75/night). I'll return for another stay. I'll just wear earplugs. read more

I liked staying here with my boyfriend. He found a 58% off discount on booking.com for 2 nights. It ended up being the same price in Livermore, which is still expensive. However, the accommodations were great. The mattress, pillows, sheets, etc. were so comfortable that I almost forgot I was in a hotel. The curtains kept out the sunlight so that we could sleep in late to any hour. The food from the not-free buffet smelled yummy though we went out to eat. The staff was kind and curteous. And every time I walk by the front desk, I take a souvenir--the fruit. Beware of the little extra that is taken from your credit card as a security deposit on your room. Don't be too bummed if you need to pay for Wi-Fi to your room at daily rates. read more

Fourth and last time I will stay at this Marriott property. This particular property is a franchise, which explains why the customer service sucks, from management to front desk staff! The owner doesn't care, so why would the staff. I have several complaints into Marriott corporate and now they have been escalated to "special services." You get treated differently if you are not a Platinum Rewards Member. I have stayed at many Marriott's and different Marriott brands, and always had a positive experience!! This is a 3 and a half star hotel, but feels like a 2 star. They have 3 remodeled rooms, and they are nice, but walls are thin. Other rooms are dated and stink. Beautiful hotel! Everything was wonderful. At the front desk I received the most fast friendly service I have ever had in a hotel! Usually the desk clerks seem tired and uninterested but at this hotel Megan was friendly, engaging and very good at her job. I was checked in fast and accurately. She is an incredible asset to Marriott. I stayed on the concierge level and was very happy with the lounge. The attendant there was also very friendly and engaging. She made me feel welcome and appreciated. This location is easy to find and the grounds were very nicely kept. Although I did not use the pool area I did have a nice view from my room and it looked very inviting and quite a few people were enjoying the area while I was there. The breakfast was bountiful and delicious. I will be back! read more

Booked a room for myself and my two daughters one night only just a little girls getaway close to home. Checkin was ok, the front desk agent was very hospitable and professional. He gave us a key to a third-floor room and as soon as we stepped out of the elevator it smelled like someone was chain-smoking packs of Newport cigarettes (from what I understand this is a smoke free hotel). Thought that maybe it would just be near the elevator so we proceeded to our room but the smell immediately changed to cigarettes AND marijuana smoke. We hopped back on the elevator told the front desk what happened and they gave us a room keys for the first floor. Once we got in the room we saw that it was disgusting. There where is a sticky smeared substance all over the desk, cobwebs on the duel bedside lamps, just really gross. I called the front desk and requested to be moved, yet again. This time we got a room on the fourth floor. Upon entering the room I did see that it was much cleaner (technically ) then the previous room that we encountered. However, the cobwebs were still on the bedside tables and to my disgust there was someone's sweater under the bed ( I always check under the mattress wherever I stay regardless of the rating for traces of bed bugs, gotta be careful, ya know!?). When I saw the sweater I was upset and in frustration looked up towards the ceiling and immediately saw that there where three, yes three spiders in the wall and ceiling crevices. Third times a charm and I was DONE...this officially did it for me. I immediately went to the front desk, let him know what happened and immediately checked out. He was very apologetic and offered my daughters snacks from their small store that they had in the lobby. This did not make up for the experience itself. I ended up having to book a room elsewhere for the night. Btw.....the parking lot is super dark and you really need to try to park as close to the front entrance as possible for safety sake. When we were walking to our car, there was a guy smoking a blunt next to our car and several groups of people just hanging out...not sure if they were guests or not but this left me feeling VERY uneasy being that I was with my daughters. I have since contacted Marriott's corporate office to file a formal complaint as well as a request for refund. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION TO ANYONE WHATSOEVER!!!!!! read more

The stay here was unpleasant due to the room being dusty and somethings didn't work in the room. We had issues with the tv and remote, the ac would be too cold and then heater would turn on and it get too hot. There was a spider in the tub and but me on my foot. The staff was very nice though. Unfortunately, we will not be staying at this hotel again. read more
