I went to Poke Dot two days in a row. That's how delicious it is! The ingredients are so incredibly fresh, healthy and satisfying. The counter staff are also very friendly and the wait is never too long even when it's busy. On my first visit, I ordered a regular size bowl with half salad, half tortilla chips. I had it topped with all the fixin's and two scoops of spicy tuna and one scoop of yellowtail (their current fish special). I chose the medium heat house sauce with the cilantro sauce. Every bite was delicious. I devoured that bowl and vowed when I came back that I would order the large bowl. The very next day I went back and ordered the large bowl. I think my eyes were bigger than my stomach because I had a hard time finishing it. I'm not complaining though because yet again, the flavors were clean and delicious. I got half brown race and half salad and a scoop of each of the following: spicy tuna, albacore, yellowtail, salmon and scallops. I had it topped with the hot house sauce this time and a side of the spicy mayo. It definitely had a kick but nothing unbearable. I can see this place becoming a regular staple in my diet. My favorite poke place in town! I love their sauces! They have great topping options as well. If you love fish, a must try!

After trying several other Poke places, this one is my favorite (so far). The minimum is 3 scoops, I'm fine with that because if I'm hungry I'll eat the whole thing, or it's a great shareable portion with my wife. They do 5 scoops as well for the meat head body builders that come in. All the fish and toppings are fresh. They have the good shrimp, not that plastic tasting shrimp some places serve. Brown rice is tasty here. They have a great variety of sauces and toppings to choose from including crumbled Flaming Hot Cheetos! I get the Sweet Green Tea for a drink, my fave. All the workers are nice and helpful in suggesting combinations. Prices are right around what you would pay at any other spot, and they have a Punch Card for returning customers. Parking sucks in this area, but it is what it is. read more

I'm originally from Oceanside and I drive up north every Monday for training with my bodybuilding team and I always look for a poke place to eat afterwards for clean protein. Honestly this place is not worth it. A better alternative is Pokeway in Montclair Plaza. Why you may ask? 1. Way bigger portions and definitely cheaper. 2. The salmon was of pretty standard poke quality, and the scallops were also quite good. Was it the freshest fish I have ever eaten? No. Was it the quality of fish I expected of a decent poke place? Yes! The price of the bowl itself is quite reasonable, and as an added bonus, they do not charge you an extra $1-$1.50 for avocado as a topping! Decent Poke. I've been here twice and the portions have been inconsistent. Once my bowl was filled to the brim and the other time, it barely even touched the lid. I think that demonstrates the training (or lack thereof) that the employees have. I tried the spam masubi once and it was NOT worth it. It's pretty inexpensive, but the quality is nowhere near what you would find at Ono's. They gave way too much rice, did not use any sauces, and the rice was way too sticky. Must have just gone at the wrong time but the food bar was a mess, there was no line but the kid was racing through our bowls like we was on a timer. This is my first visit here. This place is a solid 3/5 stars. First of all, they're quite skimpy with their portions. I asked for edamame and I got like 4 lil beans. Masago was served in a tiny melon baller looking thing. The girls serving us were in some sort of rush even though the store was almost completely empty. They didn't explain the menu or describe the sauces. After they were done serving us, all 3 of them were just chilling in the front, scrolling through their phones. The fish overall was fresh.
