I came to Poke on Sunday afternoon and was greeted politely by the staff. The young lady who took my order was very friendly and patient with me despite that I had changed my ordered. She was very courteous and understood that I changed my mind about a topping. The young lady was very thorough when I asked her about the items on the menu. Love coming here whenever I'm craving poke. The fish always taste like good quality age all the veggies and toppings are fresh. I love getting the medium bowl with half brown rice and salad as the base with tuna, salmon, and spicy tuna. I usually get ponzu sauce as well as spicy Mayo on the side. I don't ask for it on the bowl because they always put too much. (I think because people probably usually love it drenched in that stuff but not me) Service is always quick and great. Sometimes the line can take a while because customers are taking a while to order or make decisions but the workers are always very patient and try to keep the line flowing. During lunch hours the line can be long, but never too bad. And it's usually not too crowded and can always find a seat inside or outside. read more

I did it again. I ate from another poke place that gives you small portions of protein but gives you big portions of base. Another place that finesses you. I stumbled upon this place because I had to pick up a Doordash order from here. So I wanted to check it out next time I was in the Downey area. That day happened to be yesterday. I ordered a Medium poke bowl with 3 choices of protein, which were spicy tuna, salmon, tuna. I ordered white rice as the base and toppings as avocado, ginger, masago and hot cheetos. I added spicy mayo, mild, yuzu ponzu, and sesame oil for the sauces. While I like the idea of hot cheetos being a topping, it still doesn't make up for the fact that there is more rice than actual protein on my bowl. I placed an online order too and I think this is why they finessed my order. Had I gone in person, I probably would've gotten more proteins, but I truly don't know. Whatever you do, do NOT order on DoorDash or any food delivery apps. Your order will be messed up, and you will be disappointed. I order 2 medium bowls and 2 miso soups, only for the 2 bowls to arrive with either missing ingredients or added ingredients that were not requested. Mind you, the entire order was around $50 total. And not only did DoorDash offer a measly $4 refund, but when I called Poke2 Grill at 7:53pm, no one answered and their mailbox isn't even set up. Is the staff even paying attention to the orders? Completely dissatisfied with this experience. Either go in person to ensure your order is correct or find an alternative place. read more

One of the best poke spots I've ever been to! They had several options to choose from when customizing your own poke bowl and the quality of the fish looked better than most poke spots. For the amount of food you get and the price you pay for I think it's definitely worth coming here. Poke2grill is a poke bowl spot that is great for a quick lunch. They also offer bowls, salads, tacos, and wraps - many options for those who don't like raw fish. Service is quick and efficient ONLY IF you order in person. I made the massive mistake of ordering online AHEAD of time for immediate pick-up (11:30AM) on their actual website and I got an email that my pick-up was delayed to 11:50AM due to "back-up kitchen orders". Keep in mind they open at 11AM, so that's almost an hour after they open for pick-up of an advance order. It's a shame that an advance order was penalized. There were door dash orders that were ready faster than mine. They prioritize their in-person customers and delivery customers only. When I arrived at 1130AM, no one was in line. All customers were served and I asked them to make my order since they weren't taking care of others. I'm not happy with my experience and will never order in advance again. Aside from that terrible customer experience, Poke2grill is an overall great option for lunch. The food is usually fresh (although expensive). My last experience left a bad overall impression so I don't see myself returning. Hopefully review readers will learn from my experience. read more

Food is mediocre for price as well as lack of customization options and strict menu orders , service was as bad as it was the first time I came here , employees always seem to have an attitude for doing they're job and skimp out on portions as well as move with no urgency whatsoever . So today I went for dinner to this location which I have always went to. To my surprise was super disappointed. The staff here are so rude. The music going on at this store is ridiculous, all I heard was gangster rap music , the staff laughing like if they are at a club. So I order miso soup and poke bowl with rice . Why do I go get my order and the soup was literally colder than the weather we are having, the bowl was served like if was for a child. So I go up to cashier to advise that my soup is cold and the ignorance of the worker started to giggle like if something was funny so unprofessional of this person. I get that it's a restaurant and they don't take their job serious , but really your all gonna giggle like it's funny. What happen to the owner !!!! being their at his store . If your gonna have staff like this you will lose business and the portion that I pay for is what expect. Also your location use to be clean and now it's a mess maybe instead of your staff giggle and being rude should clean up and have better manners . Is it possible to have bad poke??? Apparently. Cucumber should be mandolined and shouldn't be dry (consider making a very light dressing for it.) Poke sauce is extraordinarily lacking in flavor.
