Spanish bowl with chicken and stuffed fresh avocado! Trust, it won't disappoint. I've been coming here since it opened and to be completely honest, this is the best poke spot. I've tried a lot in Las Vegas, Hawaii, OC área, LA área & no where holds up compared to this spot. By far the best poke spot I've ever tried. Everyone is kind and service is really fast. My favorite poke spot! Always do I order the poke bowl with salmon, spicy tuna and crab meat. The staff is consistently changing but they always get it right. Ask for Hector, he has a great memory and remembers my bowl ingredients every time but most of all he always greets you with a smile. Ty Hector! read more

Pretty decent poke. The ingredients were fresh, restaurant was clean, and it was an easy location to get to. They had a variety of sauces and I went with the sweeter sauce (can't remember what it was called) but it was good. Everyone in our party enjoyed their bowls! Minus one star for the grumpy girl who prepared my bowl. She appeared to not want to be there. Shame too as the other two associates where bright and cheerful. read more

We went last night to pick up good an hour before closing. They were cleaning up and had half the restaurant closed. We asked if they were open and the kid there rudely said yes. We walk in, no one greets us, or acknowledges that we are there. We wait 2-3 minutes with the kids talking behind us but nothing. Finally someone comes out and she's rude and curt. No apology or anything. We finally paid and asked for our free miso soup and never got it. At this point we were so annoyed we just left. i've been coming to this place for 2-3 years now. Quality is always great but I feel like the positions have gotten smaller and smaller. I seen one server next to me loading up the person bowl next to me but then the shorter lady with a honey blonde bun and darker roots was so stingy with my portions. I had asked for extra dry toppings and nothing was coming out the bottle and she just stopped . as barely anything was coming out. she also had an attitude with me and as soon as we were waiting to pay she walked and went to help someone else so another server had to attend to us . read more

I came to Poke on Sunday afternoon and was greeted politely by the staff. The young lady who took my order was very friendly and patient with me despite that I had changed my ordered. She was very courteous and understood that I changed my mind about a topping. The young lady was very thorough when I asked her about the items on the menu. Love coming here whenever I'm craving poke. The fish always taste like good quality age all the veggies and toppings are fresh. I love getting the medium bowl with half brown rice and salad as the base with tuna, salmon, and spicy tuna. I usually get ponzu sauce as well as spicy Mayo on the side. I don't ask for it on the bowl because they always put too much. (I think because people probably usually love it drenched in that stuff but not me) Service is always quick and great. Sometimes the line can take a while because customers are taking a while to order or make decisions but the workers are always very patient and try to keep the line flowing. During lunch hours the line can be long, but never too bad. And it's usually not too crowded and can always find a seat inside or outside. read more

I did it again. I ate from another poke place that gives you small portions of protein but gives you big portions of base. Another place that finesses you. I stumbled upon this place because I had to pick up a Doordash order from here. So I wanted to check it out next time I was in the Downey area. That day happened to be yesterday. I ordered a Medium poke bowl with 3 choices of protein, which were spicy tuna, salmon, tuna. I ordered white rice as the base and toppings as avocado, ginger, masago and hot cheetos. I added spicy mayo, mild, yuzu ponzu, and sesame oil for the sauces. While I like the idea of hot cheetos being a topping, it still doesn't make up for the fact that there is more rice than actual protein on my bowl. I placed an online order too and I think this is why they finessed my order. Had I gone in person, I probably would've gotten more proteins, but I truly don't know. I won't be returning here. read more

Yoooooooooio!!!!!!! I came here some time ago. And I didn't really like it. I was in the area and I was craving some poke. The reviews and photos looked good. So I went for it. This place is clean and Covid safe. I have to say I really like when I'm greeted as soon as I walk in. I came in during lunch hours. They were fast and neat. My food was definitely fresh. Quality stuff here. Plenty of toppings and sauces. Price was fair. I will say their scoops aren't as plentiful but it's ok. Not bad enough to complain. I'm definitely coming back if I'm in the area. One of the best poke spots I've ever been to! They had several options to choose from when customizing your own poke bowl and the quality of the fish looked better than most poke spots. For the amount of food you get and the price you pay for I think it's definitely worth coming here. I got my usual salmon and spicy tuna with white rice topped with spicy mayo and a little bit of ponzu sauce. Very good combo! read more

Poke2grill is a poke bowl spot that is great for a quick lunch. They also offer bowls, salads, tacos, and wraps - many options for those who don't like raw fish. Service is quick and efficient ONLY IF you order in person. I made the massive mistake of ordering online AHEAD of time for immediate pick-up (11:30AM) on their actual website and I got an email that my pick-up was delayed to 11:50AM due to "back-up kitchen orders". Keep in mind they open at 11AM, so that's almost an hour after they open for pick-up of an advance order. It's a shame that an advance order was penalized. There were door dash orders that were ready faster than mine. They prioritize their in-person customers and delivery customers only. When I arrived at 1130AM, no one was in line. All customers were served and I asked them to make my order since they weren't taking care of others. I'm not happy with my experience and will never order in advance again. Aside from that terrible customer experience, Poke2grill is an overall great option for lunch. The food is usually fresh (although expensive). My last experience left a bad overall impression so I don't see myself returning. Hopefully review readers will learn from my experience. read more

Whatever you do, do NOT order on DoorDash or any food delivery apps. Your order will be messed up, and you will be disappointed. I order 2 medium bowls and 2 miso soups, only for the 2 bowls to arrive with either missing ingredients or added ingredients that were not requested. Mind you, the entire order was around $50 total. And not only did DoorDash offer a measly $4 refund, but when I called Poke2 Grill at 7:53pm, no one answered and their mailbox isn't even set up. Is the staff even paying attention to the orders? Completely dissatisfied with this experience. Either go in person to ensure your order is correct or find an alternative place. read more

Food is mediocre for price as well as lack of customization options and strict menu orders , service was as bad as it was the first time I came here , employees always seem to have an attitude for doing they're job and skimp out on portions as well as move with no urgency whatsoever . Went to go return beeper when my food was ready and rude employee yanked it from my hand. POKÉ2 Grill opened its doors in Downey on April 2, 2017, as a mother-daughter owned and operated restaurant. Built on more than 23 years of restaurant experience, we wanted to create something that combined the freshness and customization of poké with the comfort and variety of hot, grilled proteins — giving everyone at the table something to love. Hi, I’m Sarah! I’m one half of the mother-daughter team behind Poké2 Grill. Since opening our doors in 2017, I’ve had the privilege of growing alongside our restaurants, our team, and the communities we serve. The good thing about this place is you get to pick as many mix ins or sides while other poke shops around the area only allow 2 sides/mix ins/toppings. However, their customer service was outstanding and I appreciate the fact that they offer other items outside of poké. I'll at least try those items another time, and maybe grab one of their tasty cookies they have too.

I recently went to Poke2Grill and it was just okay. I ordered a small poke bowl for $12.95, the food was okay and I thought it was a bit pricey for what I got. The service was bad. I asked if I could have a half and half base like they showed on the menu, but the staff said it was only available for medium and large bowls. Why don't they mention that on the menu? Also, they weren't helpful when I asked about the toppings and other options, even though it was my first time there. It wasn't even busy, but they rushed through my order. Overall, the food was decent but expensive, and the service was poor. They should clearly state the limitations on the menu, and the staff could be more helpful and attentive. I grew up in Downey and I've tried every restaurant here. You could say I'm a foodie. This place opened a few weeks ago and I decided to give them a try since I had bad experiences before with poké places. The customer service was good, place was clean, and food was sad I paid $14 for a large order of poke bowel which had a lot of fillers and the poke scoop were literally butter scoop. Ordered 5 bowls 1 with chicken the rest with shrimp/salmon and spicy tuna. Everyone got sick expect the person that ordered chicken. I tried calling in and they do not have voicemail set up so you cannot leave a message. I came in and asked for a refund and the manager said no. There is no problem with the food.
