Came back and got the spicy salmon with soba and greens. If you're a spicy lover, you HAVE to do the spicy mayo and miso habanero. It hit so hard!! Service is quick. Perfect for hot a day.

I came back for round two. Still satisfied with everything. This is officially my favorite spot for poke in LA.

Pokestuf is my number one poke place to go to. I always order the same thing to go home to eat and it's always the best! Staff are friendly and quick. Place is nice and cozy to eat. I shared my order with my family and they love it!

literally my go to poke place!! I love this place soooo muchhhhh. the soba noodles with the fish always hit and with the sauce . the fish is pretty fresh although there would be times where it would be a bit chewy or a lil fishy. I never had problems with the spicy tuna tho!

Located on a corner on Main Street, it might be easily missed. Pokestuf is the only Poke shop close by so I'm surprised that I never see it packed. We live in the neighborhood and had always wondered if it was any good. Lunch time last week presented the opportunity and we finally remembered Pokestuf was on our list of places to visit. Nice girls working the register and food prep. Only one other person was there so we were able to place our order right away. The typical choices from categories: pick your base, protein, sauces, toppings etc. I do with they have more options for protein. There were 3 fish available only. No shrimp or crab meat or scallops available. There is garlic shrimp available for an additional $2. There additional fees for adding seaweed salad. Free parking is available on the street or a parking lot behind the building. It was a little pricey for the portion size. Taste was okay. I was hoping to be wow'd and find our new regular poke spot. Sadly that was not the case.

spicy salmon, spicy mayo, ponzu, all the sides besides masago eggs, and it's half white rice &mixed greens.

Can we order by phone for a few orders then pick up later? Thanks!

Yes. I ordered for pickup few times

    When are you guys reopening?

We have reopened as of this week.

I am literally heartbroken that this place closed. Any idea where they get their sauces or what was in them?

Pokestuf is not closed, we were just there on Tuesday, July 10, 2018.

For the price of food and the amount you get, I can't complain! The flavor of their own seafood boil sauce (boom sauce?) is a standard seafood boil flavor, it's legit. The flavors don't overwhelm you and make you wanna go to the toilet right away, you know what I mean? The family pack comes with 3 corn on the cob, 3 sausage pieces and 3 potatoes (like a medium sized potato!) it was good but I wish the seafood had time to sit in the sauce, you can tell the food was dumped on the sauce. We had to fight to scoop some sauce onto our mussels cause the bag was so full of food- what a good problem to have. Maybe the sauce is a bit thin? Maybe that's why it didn't stick to the food? Service was good, the ladies were attentive and professional. The decor looked like this place was known to be a bar- I mean there's a huge bar to the side. There's even a second floor but no one was seated there so it doesn't look used. Cute decor with the sea theme. Not happy about their toilet in the women's restroom. There's a a sign saying to please not dispose the toilet seat covers in the toilet cause it could clog it up. I was being a nice person and went to the trouble of respecting their wishes. It was gross as I was being careful not to touch the peed parts of the toilet seat cover. Don't judge me, only God can judge me! Come here to feed your family and friends at a very reasonable price! And if you're a lady you're gonna have to hover while you pee if you don't want to deal with the toilet seat cover disposal issue...

From the outside it's a hole in the wall, but inside is pretty spacious for larger families to dine. My husband's aunt reserved a few tables for her birthday, so we sat in the corner area. However, personally, I was not a fan because it's just too much work to break down the crab just for a little bit of meat. My favorite that night was probably the fried tofu. They definitely did that very well. We also got a lot of other dishes like the clay pot rice, chicken, clams, seafood crispy noodles, and other foods I can't remember. Overall, just okay for me. I don't think I would necessarily come back.

I came here with a friend, just the two of us, and the portions were HUGE. We ordered a lobster that was around 3-4 pounds, and the lobster is priced per pound. I believe we had the Boston Lobster House Special, and we added the noodles for about $10 extra. Let me tell you and it did NOT disappoint. The lobster was incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely mouthwatering. The noodles soaked up all that flavor from the lobster and seasoning, and everything together was just delicious. I kept wanting to eat even though I was already getting full! It is a little pricey, especially depending on the size of the lobster you choose, but they give you A LOT of food. There were only two of us, and we each had enough food left over to take home and have another full meal. Honestly, the amount we ordered could have easily fed four people. We also had the shrimp fried rice, which was delicious, and even the lemon iced tea was really good. I wanted to try more things, but there was absolutely no way, we already had so much food! This is definitely more of a family-style dining experience. In my opinion, this isn't your typical quick Chinese food spot or chain restaurant. The quality, freshness, portions, and overall experience put Boston Lobster on another level. I also loved the atmosphere. We sat near the live seafood tanks, so you can actually see the lobsters and other seafood in the tanks, which added to the experience. They also have their own private parking lot with two-hour parking, which is a huge plus. We didn't have reservations and were able to get seated, but I could definitely see this place getting crowded, so reservations may be helpful during busier times. For me, Boston Lobster is easily FIVE STARS. If you're in the Rosemead area looking for delicious Asian seafood and some seriously good lobster, I definitely recommend it. Just make sure you come HUNGRY!

The 4 of us especially liked the white fish with basil and the shrimp with snow peas. The rice noodles with seafood and the kung pao were also good. That said, we like our food spicier, so we asked for chili oil and limes. Some dishes did have vegetables, but when I go again I'll order a vegetable dish. Service was stellar - personal, but never intrusive. I liked that we were seated immediately and still given time for our late guests to arrive. Food arrived quickly once we ordered. They were gracious about splitting the tab afterwards, but could easily have asked whether we wanted separate checks since we were 3 unrelated sets of adults that arrived separately. So, what could have been better? The chafing spoons were too small and too few, leaving us to pull the chafing plate to the edge of the lazy Susan and scrape. My dinner plate was too small, so I made a bit of a mess while eating. The main room is noisy, even with some empty tables, Next time I'll ask for a table in the quiet section (to the right when coming in the main door.) I've driven past Newport Seafood many times and not gone in because the parking lot was already full, and it's not my style to park elsewhere and walk over. However, on Monday at 5 PM, we found ample parking. All that said, Newport Seafood seemed at its best when serving special meals to large families all around us. I will think of them next time we celebrate a special family occasion.
