Also, don't sleep on the Garlic Spam Musubi. It's warm, savory, and the perfect little side snack to throw in the bag. Service at the counter is fast, so you're in and out in a few minutes. Parking in that lot can be a pain depending on the hour, but the food is always consistent and makes for a great meal.

You start by choosing your base, then move on to proteins like ahi tuna, salmon, spicy tuna, spicy salmon, shrimp, lobster surimi, chicken, or tofu. From there, you add mix ins, sauces, and toppings to really make it your own....

Everything tasted fresh, well balanced, and thoughtfully assembled. I also ordered from the Hawaiian Hot Plate section and chose the Charred Salmon Teriyaki. This dish was a standout. The salmon was flame cooked on the spot, beautifully charred, and perfectly glazed with a rich, savory teriyaki sauce. You could tell everything was made to order hot, fresh, and handled with care. The char added depth without overpowering the natural flavor of the salmon, which is something not every place gets right. For a signature drink I ordered the Passion Lychee Green Tea with crystal boba. It was light, refreshing, and not overly sweet exactly what you want alongside a flavorful meal. The crystal boba added a nice texture without being heavy. What really elevated the experience was the service. Jarason and Josiah were outstanding friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They took the time to explain options and made the entire visit feel smooth and enjoyable. Service like that makes a noticeable difference. Definitely recommend Pokeworks in Newport Blvd.

I've only been here twice but staff seem pretty friendly & welcoming! This plaza has a lot of other shops, restaurants, and businesses, so it can get busy after work hours but parking hasn't been an issue so far. Solid poké ofc but I think their bowls could be filled up a little more & have less rice at this location. Will continue to support Pokeworks as their no. 1 customer!!

Build a poke bowl heaven! So many different options to choose from, including lobster surimi, pineapple or mango toppings, and their new black garlic aioli sauce. I'm a dedicated salmon poke bowl girl with the usual poke works classic sauce type. As expected, my bowl was delicious! I love that there are different size options. Small was plenty for me. My salmon was fresh, and all the toppings tasted fresh as well. They have many unique items such as poke bombs, chicken ramen miso soup, and tons of tempting drinks. My husband got their masubi and he said it was delicious. We both agreed we would come back next time we are in the area. I am tempted to venture out and try some of their other items. Overall, a pleasant experience!

Fresh fish and consistent quality ! It's nice that they have so many semi cooked and also chicken and tofu options for anyone who might not want raw. It's always very clean inside and there's ample parking in this shopping plaza. They give good portions for their price and are consistent. They have a lot of fun drink options and spam musubi as well. I also really enjoyed their Mac salad. This is a good choice for a fresh poke bowl. I got the Half Ahi, Half Salmon bowl. The Portion: It's a perfectly sized meal for one person. The Flavor: They include a good variety of toppings, which adds a lot of texture and keeps the flavor profile interesting throughout the bowl. Good bowl for ~$15. It didn't leave a strong enough impression for a return visit.

Went here for lunch with a few coworkers and Pokeworks didn't disappoint! Super fresh fish and a variety of sauces, I've never tried a Yuzu based sauce before, and it complimented perfectly with the ahi tuna :) Lunch rush can be a little crazy, but the service was quick, and they have a ton of space inside. Love the vibes here, but a little more expensive comparatively to other Poke places in OC.

I prefer poke bowls limited to only essential ingredients, but I also cant help myself from getting everything- if it is available! Pokeworks is one of those place where every ingredient that can possibly go into a bowl is available. Decent price and decent poke. When we walked in it smelled DELICIOUS. They said you can have items torched and whatever they last torched smelled deliciioous. Not sure why I didn't try my food torched after making a fuss about the scents. Their chili oil topping is also a very good chili oil! Dim sum quality chili oil imo and very crispy. Doesn't belong in poke but I got it anyways haha. The girl working was lively, patient, and a positive interaction.

Best poke place out here! Angel really took the time to walk us through our orders and was a super big help! A+ service!! Totally would come again next time we're in Newport! In a super safe area too!

First time at a pokeworks and I went with the spicy ahi bowl over mixed greens. I also grabbed Spam musubi for the first time ever, which surprised me. The bowl comes loaded with ahi tuna, cucumber, sliced onion, edamame, masago, green onion, sesame seeds, onion crisps, and shredded nori, all tossed with their spicy sauce. Everything looks fresh right away. The tuna is clean and tender, the cucumbers add a cool crunch, and the onions give it just enough bite without overpowering anything. The masago and sesame seeds add texture, and the ginger i asked for tied everything together. The spicy sauce coats everything evenly and gives the bowl some heat without drowning it. Over mixed greens, it stays light but still filling. Each bite feels balanced, nothing overpowering, nothing missing. Last-minute decision, I also ordered Spam musubi. I've seen Spam my whole life and never had the urge to try it until today. It's a thick slice of grilled Spam over seasoned rice, wrapped with seaweed. The Spam is crisp on the outside and tender inside, salty in a good way, and it works really well with the rice. Simple, comforting, and way better than I expected. Everything was really good. I enjoyed the bowl and the spam musubi, and I'm glad I finally tried it!

I just went there tonight, and the service was really bad as well as the food. The person making the food didn't know what goes into specific bowls and had to text a coworker for help while I was waiting in line. Someone else ended up coming out after several minutes to help me. The portions of everything were comically small, the crab salad was seriously was a teaspoon sized scoop. The food itself was not very good, the poke was super chewy and I wasn't able to finish it. Definitely not worth the $18 will not be coming back.

It was more than I could eat. I added on cucumbers, corn edamame, krab and crunchy onions. I wish I had gotten those on the side if I could, but it was very delicious again I said that it was packed nicely with some sauces on the side that I asked for also, they gave me chopsticks and a fork and cannot speak of the ambience since I didn't go into the store, but overall I would order from there again or go in there and have food also they have happy hour before 5 PM and you can get it discounted

I think I might have just come in on an off day, but I was disappointed with this poke. There is very little rice served and the fish serving was skimpy, but boy did they drench the bowl in sauce. You can see in the photo that the rice is swimming in sauce. I would say be very vocal about how you like your poke prepared at this location depending who is your server. Other than that, the staff and ambiance is nice.

I was able to be a part of the CM grand opening.... I have to say it was flawless! I walked into a big "Welcome to Pokeworks" greeting. I ordered the two protein bowl which was a huge bowl of rice with my two protein choices of salmon and tuna. Also included were real crab, seaweed salad, sesame seed, and edamame. The sashimi was very fresh and the whole bowl delicious. I will go again. The servers were young people however they were as efficient as any good adult in good restaurants. First appearance is really clean. We went at 3:45 in the afternoon and no one was there as expected. Ordered one regular and 1 large. You pick the protein and you can tell the fish pieces are good size and fresh. You pick the sauce and they mix the fish with it. This makes a big difference as the sauce is well mixed. Then you choose the sides. The bowls were the same size no matter which one you buy. Regular is 2 protein and large is 3. I wished they had octopus but I know that's not a popular protein. They have chicken which is kinda different. I came for the fish and was definitely fresh and sweet. They charge 50 cents for Masago but that's not too bad. It was a good size but ne t time. I think I'll get the large forestry protein for only $2.75. Manager Greg came over 2x to tall to us. There are plenty of parking in this plaza unlike the other poke place we go to do we will try it again for sure. Download the app to get discounts. read more

Was in the area to watch a soccer game and stopped in after seeing excellent Yelp reviews. Did not disappoint! There was a line, but the staff was efficient and the line moved speedily. I got two proteins, tuna and salmon, light Ponzu Fresh sauce, brown rice and a bunch of toppings. The fish was sashimi grade. Felt like I got a sushi dinner in a bowl for about $16. My kid didn't want raw fish so he went with the chicken and tofu as his proteins over white rice. I was so pleased to see him eating his meal enthusiastically because he's such a picky picker! The location is conveniently located. The Ahi tuna was almost too salty. It's almost like it was left in a brine or cure too long. I wish there was a kids bowl like some other locations. It was full price for a scoop of chicken and a scoop of rice. There was some miscommunication with my order but that's okay, the food was good regardless. I enjoyed my time overall, I would say if you have a kid that doesnt eat a whole lot, pass on the location. If you are in the mood for some poke, it's a quick stop. They overall restaurant had plenty of seating and plenty of parking. It was neat and clean. I will probably visit again. read more

I love that they have some different options than other poke places. This is important to me to have lots of choices so I can switch things up every now and then. A lot of us here at my organization love going to this location! I came twice this week! Yesterday and today for lunch lol Matthew helped me yesterday and Janette helped me today. They're both very generous with the sides and get my bowls spot on! The poke here is always fresh and flavorful! I had the Hawaiian bowl and it was fabulous. The server had suggested a recipe and I went with all the ingredients listed. I asked for half sauce but in hindsight wish I had gone with the full portion. I also had a spam masubi which was served warm and was delicious. All the ingredients were very fresh and tasty. The restaurant itself was clean and comfortable. The service was quick and friendly. I will definitely be going back here for another meal. read more

This is based solely on the service i received tonight. The person working seemed as though we were inconveniencing him by ordering. Pokeworks was created by our four founders who share a passion for bringing flavorful food to people in a fun and healthy way.
