Pokeworks, conveniently located right across from 24 Hour Fitness, is a solid go to spot if you're craving fresh, made to order poke with plenty of customization and flavor. I ordered the Poke Your Way option, which lets you choose between a bowl, burrito, or salad. I went with the poke burrito, and the customization process was seamless. You start by choosing your base, then move on to proteins like ahi tuna, salmon, spicy tuna, spicy salmon, shrimp, lobster surimi, chicken, or tofu. From there, you add mix ins, sauces, and toppings to really make it your own. Everything tasted fresh, well balanced, and thoughtfully assembled. I also ordered from the Hawaiian Hot Plate section and chose the Charred Salmon Teriyaki. This dish was a standout. The salmon was flame cooked on the spot, beautifully charred, and perfectly glazed with a rich, savory teriyaki sauce. You could tell everything was made to order hot, fresh, and handled with care. The char added depth without overpowering the natural flavor of the salmon, which is something not every place gets right. For a signature drink I ordered the Passion Lychee Green Tea with crystal boba. It was light, refreshing, and not overly sweet exactly what you want alongside a flavorful meal. The crystal boba added a nice texture without being heavy. What really elevated the experience was the service. Jarason and Josiah were outstanding friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. One of my go to spots for a fresh and filling poke bowl. We had a coupon so it was a great price for two bowls. They always send out discounts so sign up with them! The meat is always fresh and flavorful. You can get either rice or salad as your base depending on what you feel like. Next time I may get salad since with all the extra toppings it's so much food. The inside was clean and the staff was friendly. There are also some outside seats in the plaza as well as plenty of parking. Love this place! read more

Ordered through the app for lunch. When I went to pickup my order, the staff told me someone else picked up my order in a manner as if I sent someone to pick up my food for me. It was really bizarre. They kept saying someone picked up your order. Umm you mean you gave my paid order to someone else. The manager came out and instead of helping just stood there with the same line. The staff member said she'd remake my order but by that time I had already been there for most of my lunch break and had to get back. I asked for a refund because I had to get back to work. The manager told me she was unable too and someone else had to that wasn't there. So not only did I not get my lunch but I didn't get my refund. Your customer service is extremely poor and you might want to reconsider how you do business. I left a review through your system and have yet to hear back. read more

New poke spot in Costa Mesa. It's located on Newport Blvd and Harbor Blvd and shares the same plaza as Hanuman Thai Eatery, Ike's Love and Sandwiches and more. Parking was pretty easy as it's located in a large plaza. Poke was pretty fresh and the employees were super helpful when I had questions on what to choose. I know some places charge extra for avocado, but I was surprised that they also charge extra for masago which is something I'm not quite used to. Other than that, I enjoyed my poke bowl here and will come back to try out their lobster bowl and take advantage of their yelp check in offer for a garlic musubi. A plus is that the establishment is really clean! read more

Lost my appetite. I eat here as a convenient option. I'm a big poke snob and it's definitely my last option compared to other poke places around the area. The reason being that both times I've come here, the fish quality was kinda gross and slimy (specifically the salmon) even the tuna I felt like spitting out because they were full of sinew. I don't even feel like finishing my bowl and I always do at other locations. I LOVE fish & sushi. Overpriced for the quality, $18 for a regular bowl. read more

I ordered a small bowl and downloaded the app to get the $5 discount advertised at the register. $12.95 - $5 right? They charged me for a large bowl and told me I needed to come back to get the discount! Then said oops, we can't refund charges on credit cards! The place was empty so they weren't overwhelmed.
