Our favorite Poke place is closed on Sundays so we found this place instead. It saddens me to write negative reviews but I did not enjoy their recipe at all. The sauce for me is the most important item that makes or breaks it because the protein and toppings are just items without any taste or seasoning (eg: edamame, tofu, shrimp, etc) so the sauce is what give those things flavor. Perhaps I choose the wrong sauce (Poki Cat original sauce) but it was a very bland, salty/sour mess. If it wasn't for the seaweed salad my bowl would have been worse. I hope you guys will eventually offer that fragrant, thick sesame sauce most poke places use to mix their protein. Also, portions were tiny. I asked for edamame and got a tiny spoonful. This was sadly one of my least favorite poke place. The 2 stars is for the restaurant decor, which is a lot nicer than our favorite poke place (nearby) but I would probably stick to going there instead. Could improve on: sauce / more generous portions, if not the protein, at least with toppings. read more

My bowl was really good and I got it cooked. Their customer service isn't that great and I thought it was weird that when the girl was measuring my protein she put raw salmon in with tofu in the same bowl but then put the tofu back out of the bowl back into where all the other tofu was. I just felt like if someone had a fish allergy....this could be cross contamination. It didn't affect me but was concerning. Other than that the food is worth it. read more

Moved down the street saw this place. Tried it out because I just love poke. Service was great and the amount of food was optimal. Definitely would recommend an extra scoop of fish if you were to build your own. Ratio of rice to greens was perfect and not too much for a half and half base. Will for sure come back! read more

We've come here twice now, both times a groovy guy named Rudolph was there to help us out. He's so happy, helpful, and has genuinely upbeat energy that he brings to his job. He's quick to offer recommendations if you want them which was really appreciated our first time and tonight during our second visit. (It can be a little overwhelming to have all those options!) Rudolph isn't the only reason to try Poki Cat - the food is seriously amazing. (They also have gluten-free sauces which are nice to see!) I'm a huge albacore fan and Poki Cat has the best albacore in the area. The sear is always perfectly done and it always tastes fresh. (also, I've not tried it and probably won't but they offer beets as a protein - yes, you read that right - and I feel like I should mention that in case anyone out there is living that Dwight Shrute life.) The toppings are fresh, the selection is great, and I love all the base options from zucchini noodles to sushi rice. The sauces deserve their own kudos, too. I'm a fan of the Snowy Sauce (recommended to me by Rudolph who is clearly the MVP of this place), my fiance backs the Lemon Ponzu. It's a nice vibe inside the restaurant, calm, relaxed, not too busy but a nice stream of people getting orders. I really, really recommend this place. It has been so long since I've been to a good poke place (my last favorite closed down) and finding Poki Cat has really brightened up our enthusiasm about dining out options near home. read more

This is my absolute favorite poke place!!!! The staff is so nice and personable. Rhianne served me today and she was super fast. It was super delicious! The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because it's so dang hot in there! My boyfriend and I love trying new poke places and I'm so glad we gave this place a go! The salmon is amazing and buttery and the sauce combinations are great. I got the sassy cat sauce, a slightly spicy sauce combo which isn't on the menu yet if you ask they will know what you're talking about. The customer service is what made this experience next level! We didn't catch his name, but the tall slender male employee took great care of us and was so friendly and made the best out of his situation-- the rice ran out causing a wait, he was the only employee taking orders and refilling items, and the register was malfunctioning. Another great thing is that they have Poki Mondays where you get an extra scoop of fish on your bowl!!! We will definitely be returning after this fantastic experience! read more

They charge extra for any avocado (most places include it). The spicy sauce was reasonably spicy, but otherwise not flavorful. Overall it was pretty bland. You can find better poke places for the same price. read more

Me and my girlfriends favorite poke place. They have spicy salmon which isnt ground up. We go out of our way to eat here because its really that good. This place has a wonderful atmosphere and the management is absolutely wonderful. He leads by example and is always in a great mood. Discovered this place after taking my car down the street to get fixed. You can make your own poke bowl or they have their signature bowls. I got the large Cali bowl for $13.95. This review is long overdue for Poki Kat. I keep telling myself give it one more try, but every time, it's a disappointment. The food is below mediocre, don't believe the hype. The fish isn't that fresh, they mask the smell by the sauce they mix in. I've had instances where it smells fishy (I get the sauce on the side;). Also, they don't wear gloves, masks, or hair nets/hats. . I think food industry workers (only) should wear masks. I've found hair in my tuna before (seriously Barf). I addressed it and they gave me a new bowl. The cleanliness needs to improve. It looks like they chop raw fish on the dirty serving board in front of you. The customer service absolutely sucks. The guy that works there is friendly, but the Skinny young long hair girl, has a look on her face like she hates life and is annoyed you're there. It's uncomfortable to say the least. My neighbor goes here and she also feels the same way about the Customer Service but she enjoys the food. read more

Seems like every time I go the service gets worse. There was a young gentleman working there he was amazing too bad I haven't seen him there any more. He gave excellent service was always smiling and friendly. There's always someone new and the portions get smaller and the worst is in the last two months every time ago it seems like they are always out of avocado. Halfway thru drinking my fountain drink I find something floating in my cup - it was the nozzle from the soft drip machine YUCK! Place is now VERY dirty. Great service! I've been twice. The first time was soft open and went back again recently. I had the 3 protein bowl with zucchini noodles. The zoodles were fresh and the fish (tuna salmon albacore) was excellent. The serving size is perfect but if you want to fill up, get rice as your base. Loving this place! The portions are generous. They have a lot of options for toppings and sauce combinations. I love the amount of sauce they give - it coats my rice or makes a nice dressing when I get salad. And the employees are the friendliest I've ever seen. The spam musubi is made to order, so it's served nice and warm. Only thing I would change is that that they are Pepsi restaurant, and everyone knows Coke is better :) read more

This was my first poke experience, so let that be the preface to my review. I honestly can't judge this place based on the quality of the poke because I'm not an expert. But what I am familiar with is customer service and cleanliness. The gentleman who was serving us was polite, however he didn't know the product when making our bowls. He had to read off the board to know the next ingredient to put in our bowls. He also did not wear gloves and I saw his thumb brush up against my lettuce. Not okay. Then, each time he scooped fish, he weighed it. This may be a common poke thing to do, but everything felt skimpy. For example, I asked for ginger and he said "I can give you half a scoop (about a teaspoon size) but I'm not supposed to" come on! The sushi place gives you this in unlimited amounts. The napkins were a disaster and there was barely any soy sauce in the restaurant. The bin was full of dirty dishes and we were the only customers in there. You would think if business is slow you would be cleaning the place? And there were 3 employees total to my knowledge. read more
