Pretty average. Had the lomo saltado- it was bland. I wouldn't recommend making a trek here just for that. Seems like they're more about fast volumne output of food rather than focusing on flavors and quality. I've been to Peru and have had plenty of Peruvian food to gauge against. Came here for the pollo a la brasa, but they were out of chicken due to some issue. What Peruvian chicken place runs out of chicken?! I suggest you call ahead. read more

Best drive through in my world. The lomo saltado is freshly made flavorful and well seasoned meat is very tender. Tha chaufa de carne is bomb! It's like fried rice with choice of protein or veggie. The chicken is moist juicy and flavorful. Not dry like other places I have been to. Tallarin is also a great spaghetti dish full of flavor. I'm obsessed with this place there food is priced very reasonable. And you get absolutely great tasting food. I at least go out there three time a week. It's so delicious. Used to be really good, unfortunately, the place has become very hit ot miss. In the past few times I've been the rice is undercooked or strangely crunchy. This is the location to visit when you don't have time to dine but with a few caveats. If you want salad instead of soup with your entree here you have to pay $1.00 in addition to the cost do the meal. You don't have to pay this at the other locations. I must say, this place is a lot better than most other fast-food versions of the original restaurant. Pollo Inka Express delivers good quality for a great price. I came here yesterday and ordered the Lomo Saltado. It did not disappoint at all. For $6.75, the portion of the dish was quite large and it tasted great. The steak was cooked a little longer than I normally like my steaks, but at medium, it was fine. The juices from the steak and the sauces mingled well with the fries. For a $1.00 more I substituted the regular steamed rice with cilantro rice-- something definitely worth doing again. Oh, and if you have never tried Inca Kola, do yourself a favor and get it here! Pollo Inka Express is the only fast-food joint I know of that sells Inca Kola as one of the beverage choices. Fruity, bubbly pop that will satiate both your thirst and sweet tooth. It's not the best Peruvian food, but it will definitely satisfy a craving. This store is suppose to be the "fast food" version of the restaurant chain but that is really not that case. Ordering from the drive-thru may take a while even when there's one car ahead of you. I remember having to about 20 - 30 minutes before I got to the front window to pay... so I would definitely recommend calling in your order. You can bypass the line and just pick up the food when it's ready! Besides that, the food is a great value for the price and doesn't taste too bad. In fact, I would say it's pretty good when you're extremely hungry and a great filler prior to a long night of drinking. They have a special 1/4 chicken combo for $4.99 which includes rice and 2 sides. Overall, I will only come back to Pollo Inka if I called in for pickup. Waiting time always varies and you're never guarantee to be in and out in less than 10 minutes. If this wasn't an issue I would definitely give Pollo Inka Express 4 stars. read more

Not the full menu options of the restaurants but their selections will do when you're in the mood for Peruvian cuisine. Fairly inexpensive and easy. You do have to wait longer than usual for your food, but the staff are very friendly and the manager there (Jeff) looks like Nick Jonas and is super sweet. The food is definitely worth the wait and the staff make the time quicker. P.S. they're lomos are a must try. read more

I made an online order for pickup for my lunch break from work and was given a time my order would be ready. When I went to the location after waiting in line I'm told that they don't take online orders. I showed them my email confirmation on and they just said they don't have a history of my order. That is unacceptable, especially when the website is accepting orders for that location. Whoever is in charge of your website needs to be fired for incompetence. Okay this place isn't bad at all. Its not the best Peruvian food I've had but definitely not the worst either. I tried the Lomo Saltando which I loved and the vanitas de pollo (im spelling that wrong). I and not a fan of the second dish and the food was good, less expensive than the restaurant we ate inside which seemed to speed up the amount of time I waited for my food. I keep struggling between trying to decide whether I should give it a 4 or 3 star performance. It's definitely not Don Felix, but still a pretty good, cheap alternative. Today was my first visit and I will be back. The food was really good. There are a lot of Peruvian places near my workplace, but for the South Bay this is one of your better choices. Being that it's made to order, I don't think my wait in the drive thru was too bad. I think in the world of microwaves and high speed this and that, people want everything fast. I only wish this place was closer to where I live! Peruvian fast food that tastes nothing like the typical fast food joint. The prices here are a bit less than the sit down restaurants, but still tasty. The drive-through isn't McDonalds fast, but you're also getting better quality food, so have a little patience when ordering from the car. I have found that there are consistency issues at times, where the food tastes better some days and not-so-great on other days, but that doesn't stop me from coming back. read more
