The host greeted us when we arrived. As soon as we got there they went ahead and seated us, there was no wait! Is nice clean, presentable. First of all the waiter was friendly, professional Brittany P. Thank you for the amazing service! The food was delicious we ordered drinks to start off, they were good, then we ordered an appetizer Calamari it was very delicious taste so fresh! We had Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp and Linguine Di Mare very delicious, flavorful, fresh just the right portion! I do recommend this place overall service, ambiance, food was excellent!

Great place! We were seated as soon as we went in! Service was super quick. The ladies greeted us nicely and were patient with our orders. Food arrived quickly and it was delicious. The place was quiet and had good music.

    FETTUCCINE ALFREDO, CHICKEN MARSALA

Stopped here late at night during our stay downtown! Employees were very friendly considering we came in an hour before close and there was barely anyone in there. Our waitress Olga was very sweet, always smiling and brightened our night! Her service was amazing. I have never had chicken Marsala, but I thought it was very tasty! My boyfriend got the fettuccine Alfredo and it was decent, nothing crazy. The only thing is that we did not receive any bread like other reviews showed... but other than that service was good and the environment was nice as well!

Someone described this place as a staple downtown, and I can agree. I ate here a few weeks ago and the food and service was great, so when I decided to change my original 50th birthday dinner plans to this location at the last minute for 13 guests, I took a chance on the experience and it was a true gift. It wasn't crowded, the place was clean and we were able to walk right in for our reservation. We had a wonderful experience. The timing of the food to table, the taste, and presentation was delicious and impressive! The menu items were reasonablly priced and the drinks were superb! Porta Di Roma saved the day for me and my guests as they welcomed us with attentive and personable service. It was a cherry on top for the chef to come and introduce himself- then gifted me a delicious tiramisu for my birthday! I will be frequenting this place moving forward as it's just a 2 block walk away. Thank you to the staff for being so accommodating and recognizing how a birthday is supposed to feel!

Mama Mia! Dined in here last night and the staff was extremely friendly. I've actually walked into this place before and walked out because I wasn't feeling it (yes I know, I was that annoying person). Anywho, this time I gave it a chance and boy did it impress. I did dirty things to the Ravioli al Vodka and I don't say this often... but you should too! Next up was the Spisy Pizza (spicy sausage?). Both were so good that I actually took them home with me, left them open on the table, and waited patiently until I could eat the rest. ONE THING - I will say I ordered a $60 bottle of wine that was supposed to be the nicer of wines... but it was no bueno. So I'd stick to the food. I don't even think that deserves a star off, that's how good the food was.

Spumoni ice cream! It looks divine and tasted amazing.... Just the right amount of dessert for two.

We started with the focaccia bread (5/5). Wow--this might be some of the best bread I've ever had. Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and the dip was delicious. I usually try not to fill up on bread before the entrées arrive, but we made sure to finish every bite. We also ordered the burrata salad (5/5), which was a very generous portion and absolutely delicious. I would definitely order it again. For our entrées, my friend and I shared the chicken piccata and the bolognese. The chicken piccata was a 5/5 for me, while the bolognese was a 4.5/5. Both dishes were excellent and I'd happily order either again. This visit was a completely different experience from my first one, and I'm glad I came back. I'd love to return with my husband sometime.

It was a little too windy and hot for us, so we hurried downstairs to enjoy dinner afterwards. I'm sure the rooftop is much more comfortable during different weather conditions, and they can't control the weather, so don't let that deter you. The dining room was packed! We didn't have reservations, so we ended up at the bar, but the bar tender, Izzi made our experience feel so elevated! He was charismatic, charming, and genuinely interested in getting to know us! He was knowledgeable about the menu and had tons of recommendations for us! We ended up getting the bolognese and lasagna. Both dishes were hearty, delicious, and had plenty for leftovers later. Needless to say, we sat at the bar, but Izzi made us feel like we were sitting at the most important table in the house! The entire bar staff seemed very "elite". The owner should give them all a raise and the customers should tip them well!

We called ahead of time as Resy was glitching and were told that we could just walk in and likely wouldn't wait long. Arrived the host was helping someone with a takeout order. We waited. And waited. She never even looked at us or said. "Hi...just give me a minute and I'll be right with you.." 2nd host came to the counter (more than 5 minutes passed as we watched them buzz around and still not say hello). She finally looked up and said, "2"? Then seated us almost silently. We waited another 10 mins for someone to welcome us, say hi, or bring water, then a waiter appeared with a rushed, "Are you ready to order?" Umm....how about drinks? Specials? Anything?? We wanted a beer and were told the taps were empty and the only bottled option was Shiner. Rough start all around. Honestly, we were tempted to leave. It was that uncomfortable. We didn't. For the food: 1. Chopped salad was good, though it's not chopped at all, just a tossed salad. 2. Gnocci was delicious 3. Pizza was very tasty but the crust was strangely soggy/chewy. Maybe that's the style, but I kind of expected a bit of a crunch to it. The flavor all around was great. Our waiter disappeared (I'm assuming his shift ended?) without warning or letting us know someone else would step in. If I had to sum it up, it was almost like we were invisible the whole time we were there. Service can make or break an experience--it broke it for us. I'd consider trying the Richardson location in the future, but I think it'll be a while.
