Dear Steve: After correspondence with both you and the owner of the Postal Annex, I have yet to receive a reasonable explanation as to why you charged me $90 to overnight a 1 LB shipment of truffles from San Diego to St. Louis. For that same shipment, FedEx, USPS, and UPS fees range from $45 to $65. It seems like your offer for me to contact you directly was insincere and void of any meaningful attempt to resolve this matter. I maintain that price gouging and bad customer service is your M.O. except now I know that those bad business practices trickle down from the top. read more

I was in last week to quickly mail a package. I walked in and stood there for sometime before finally a young lady says they will be with me in a minute. Then walks up this man in a hoodie, WITH HIS HOOD ON and no facial expressions, no greeting, nothing. What do I need? Ok, my package is sitting right on the counter. Maybe I need it mailed?? I tell him I want it sent the least expensive way. He starts asking me my name, bla, bla , bla and inputting it in the computer. I ask why do I have to answer so many question to mail a package? No answer. This going on for sometime - maybe he can't type? Finally he tells me it is over $9 bucks to mail a light small package in an envelope to Los Angeles. WTF? I could not get out of their fast enough. Worst customer service on the planet. Prices outrageous! read more

I had a good experience here. After going to another corporate type printing and office supply place that left me frustrated I searched for mom and pop and this came up. I emailed and asked if they print from email. I was in a bit of a hurry because I had already messed up the papers I had printed at the other place when their machines stopped taking my card. I would have had to pay an express rate even though I had been there messing my stuff up for at least a half hour. I called I asked if they could print my email they said yes and I was on my way. I got there I received help right away from the courteous clerk who asked if I had emailed and told me she had responded to my email. I asked for two copies and she told me where to forward my document and I was back in business. I didn't ask the price and it was W-A-Y more expensive than the other place but I'm a little impatient and admittedly a little lame and I had already spent the time getting there so I just went with it. The location is veteran owned by Tammy and Gary McCann which is important to me so I made the right choice. I'm a fan of the locally owned store business and try to support by being a client. read more

The owners and staff are always helpful and will help in any kind of situation having to do with anything mail, packages (coming or going), mail boxes, random "fun gift stuff", related. I visited this particular PostalAnnex on February 2, 2018 to mail off a box and three envelopes that contained three different cashier checks totaling over $2K. I gave my envelopes to the clerk name Sandra to process. I thought everything was normal until February 22, 2018. I received phone calls from the three different organizations that were supposed to received my money. After doing my research, I went back to this PostalAnnex and mentioned to the lead clerk Bryan, who was very helpful. He asked me "if I knew the exact time and date that I came to the store" and I showed him my receipt. He brought up the security footage and it showed me giving Sandra the box and the three letters. The security camera also showed that Sandra didn't place my envelopes in the drop box for delivery and misplacing them. I spoke with the owner, Gary and he refused to believe that his clerk (Sandra) made the mistake and tried to say that the actual U.S. Post Office misplaced my three envelopes. Even the lead clerk (Bryan) stated that something was wrong and that Sandra didn't follow proper protocol. Regardless, I had to go to my bank and to submit a Declaration of Loss of Cashier's Check for all three of my checks that were lost by the PostalAnnex. The Bank process takes 90 days before my money can be refunded back to my account. I'm angered and offended that Gary, the owner didn't care, nor did he try to help to rectify the situation. This is supposed to be a "Military Veteran Owned Store" but, I'm a 26 year veteran of the U.S. Navy and I felt extremely disrespected. I trusted Sandra with my mail and in turn the PostalAnnex showed no concern or remorse for their mistake. I will never step another foot in this PostalAnnex ever again and I'm certain that Gary doesn't care about losing a valued customer and fellow veteran. I highly encourage my local community to utilize another avenue to ship your merchandise/mail. I posted this blog because I don't want any other individual to feel the pains and disrespect that I have endured. I guarantee you if I was one of his rich clients that owned a yacht on the bay, his tone and action would've been completely different but I'm just a regular blue collar hard working citizen, like most of you are. I'm still at disbelief how my situation was handled. NO ONE DESERVES TREATMENT LIKE THIS! read more

This is the worst postal annex in town. They often are closed a few minutes early so I've been avoiding this location as much as possible. But tonight was the last straw!! I drove all the way to this location because it was "open til 7pm" and I got there just as they were shutting the doors at 6:59pm as if they've been counting down for the last several hours. And only AFTER I brought my very large boxes for drop off the girl working informs me they no longer accept "large boxes" for the Post Office because it's too much trouble to take them to the Post Office. I'm sorry, but isn't that one of your business's main functions??? So now it's too late to drop off my shipping anywhere and I'm totally effed. Now they're messing with MY business. I will NEVER come here again and I'm going to post on all the Point Loma social media pages that they should skip this bad business and go to one of the many other very pleasant and helpful postal annexes nearby. read more
