Original Fries (BBQ & Sour Cream & Onion) (Large)

Potato Corner is an easy snack to grab while walking through the mall, but this location tends to have longer waits compared to others I've been to. When I went, one machine wasn't working, so that made the wait even longer -- about 20 minutes after ordering. The fries themselves are always good, but I don't grab them too often since the powdered flavors can taste a bit artificial after a while. Still, it's a good choice for a quick snack. I'm hoping their Serramonte location opens soon for a more convenient option.

I've been trying to get the hype with potato corner but I just can't. I've been to this location a few times and was left disappointed each chance I given. This particular visit was quite early, way before the rush of people as this place tends to get busy. It was practically empty with only one other customer in the store, however, the service took way too long than it should've. Is it normal to wait 25+ minutes for fries? I ordered the regular fries with garlic parmesan seasoning. You'd think after 25+ minutes they'd be crispy but it was the opposite. Soggy and underwhelming. They're honestly ok and I am not a fan.

Rebranded as undercover fries after a lawsuit. I got the large fries for $9, tax included. The cheddar powder is terrible. The garlic parm powder is pretty good

Every time we come to Valley Fair, my husband and I HAVE TO stop at Potato Corner for a mega of their regular fries. We usually get two flavors, sour cream and onion + cheddar (so good together!!), plus a lil Coke Zero to wash it down. This place is so popular, and always has a line zigzagged out the door. They usually are pretty fast getting orders out, so we don't mind waiting. I don't think we've ever had more than a 10 min wait max. Again, we only ever get the fries normally. But we have tried their chicken poppers at their Great Mall location, which was pretty good! There's a small eating area near the storefront window that can seat maybe up to 6 people, but I think there's only like 3 chairs actually stationed there. Probably just extra space to wait for your order to be ready. But there's plenty of seating throughout the mall if you're looking to enjoy your food while stationary. Will be back again soon!

A Delicious Find at Westfield Valley Fair! I'm a fan of Potato Corner, usually visiting the Great Mall location. But this time, I tried the Westfield Valley Fair spot and was impressed! Our go-to order is the MEGA size Loopy fries with BBQ flavor, perfect for sharing with our 4-year-old. This time, without our toddler, we opted for the Chilli BBQ flavor - and wow, it was amazing! Not overly spicy, just rich and flavorful. My husband and I devoured the entire serving! This location is small, ideal for grab-and-go, but there's also seating outside if you'd like to relax and enjoy the fries.

got the sour cream fries and they were just alright! the seasoning is fine, but quite sugary. the fries were hot and crispy which is nice, but they take fooooorever to come out and the place is a little gross. there's so many other good snack options in valley fair, so i probably won't come again.

I like this place. The potatoes are more than just potatoes. mmmm they turn into live at first site. They are so good. The kids who work there are really nice and helpful for me . It was my over time so I went with their suggestions. I loved every fry. So start at the top and work your way around. You will be happy you did .

Ordered a giga size garlic and parmesan seasoned fries and a mega size chili cheese fries. The amount of fries you get for what you pay for is a plus. As for the taste, I feel like the fries were fried perfectly--but a bit over seasoned to my liking. They definitely put a lot of seasoning which is a good thing--but it can be very salty! However, I did enjoy the chili cheese fries which I ended up mixing some of the garlic parmesan fries to help ease the saltiness; which was actually pretty good lol.

Oh my god potato corner literally gives me life. It's the best snack ever. There's almost always a line out the door at the location inside Valley Fair mall, granted the store itself is small but efficient! On a Sunday afternoon, we waited around 15 min in line, and 30 min for our fries to be done (I know, lol but it's worth). All the workers were still so kind despite how busy it was, and after we placed the order we went shopping then stopped by after 30 min to pick up our fries. Personal fav: curly fries with sour cream and onion flavor!

Large Chili BBQ/ Sour Cream & Onion Mix

What I ordered: -Large size, original fries, chili bbq & sour cream and onion flavors mixed _ I visited Potato Corner because of its popularity at the mall. I decided to try the original fries with a mix of chili BBQ and sour cream & onion flavors. The portion was generous, and I felt it was worth the price. However, the downside is the long wait time; I was told it would take around 30 minutes for my order. My advice is to place your order and then shop while you wait. The seating inside is limited, with just a few spots, and it's usually quite crowded. Overall, the fries were delicious, and I'd recommend it for a quick snack!

I discovered this spot thanks to my sister, who claimed it was the best fry place she'd ever been to. Taking her advice, I opted for the Giga size, since she mentioned they were irresistibly addicting, and suggested trying the BBQ seasoning. I chose the curly fries with BBQ seasoning, and indeed, her recommendations were spot on. Between two of us, we devoured the Giga size in just 7 minutes--it was that delicious, and we were left craving more! However, I'm giving them 4 stars and not 5 stars due to the service. The wait time was about 20 minutes as there was only one person preparing the fries and the seating was limited, making the interior feel cramped and a bit claustrophobic with the crowd.

Tasty curly fries. Got the chili bbq flavor and it does come heavily seasoned. Had a good spice. But by the end it did get a bit too salty. Had to compare this OG establishment with the new "Potato Guys" in San Mateo. The fry quality is equal in both establishments, but the win will have to go to "Potato Guys" just because they have a cumin bbq flavor that I just can't get enough of.

    Mega Loopy Fries (Chili BBQ)

This place always has a line out the door on the weekends, so when we saw a short line on a weekday we couldn't resist the temptation. Despite the short line, the wait was still really long - 20 minutes on a relatively less busy Wednesday evening. It's also really hot and stuffy inside, with dropped fries strewn all over the floor. So we wanted to wait outside in the mall, but then you can't hear your order being called. We ordered the Mega Loopy fries with Chili BBQ seasoning. The fries themselves are hot and fried to just the right amount of crispness. The Chili BBQ seasoning really comes through as well, it tastes like a mix of sweet and smokiness that reminds me of salsa picante, Tapatio, and Cup Noodle seasoning if they made a baby. For around 8$ (at the time of this review), you get a decent amount of fries. Something to note is for being a fries specialist joint, I thought the fries were all hand-cut in house from scratch. But we literally saw the employees haul in industrial-sized boxes of third-party pre-made fries. The seasonings are their own proprietary blend, but kind of a let down that they just sell generic fast food fries with their own seasoning on top of it. The fries are still good enough to be worth trying at least once, but for me not really worth the wait or price to come back again.

PLINY THE YOUNGER REVIEW!!!…read more Smoke Eaters is a great time in a great spot located near Levi's. Did not venture near during Super Bowl week but I bet it was packed! This trip was specifically for the 2026 release of Pliny the Younger! A once-a-year release where lines form and kegs tap quickly. I went on my own right at opening thinking I'd have to wait in some lines but I was pleasantly surprised to see a short line just around the corner into the outdoor seating area. It took 10-15 mins to get through and I found a place to stand in a packed house. They provided one Younger pour per order per person. Got one and ordered food. Food was a bit slow but obviously with so many people coming in all at opening. Ordered their double smash burger with fries. Found a group leaving and was able to sit at a table and enjoy the college basketball games / Winter Olympics while enjoying my beer. Burger was fantastic and the fries were great to munch on as the pours kept coming. No line after the initial rush and was able to get 2 more pours before getting out to meet up with the family. Known for their wings (always a good option), the rest of their menu is typically really solid with good burgers and sandwiches. They always have a great beer selection on tap and in cans as well. Decent food, excellent beer selection, but prices are a little steep…read more This is a nice place to grab a bite and watch some sports, or for a pregame meal before walking over to PayPal Park to catch a Bay FC or SJ Earthquakes game. But your expenses are going to pile up if you linger too long. $13 for 5 wings or 3 tenders is a lot. Sandwiches are good, but recently I got the Italian beef and it was far too soggy to be enjoyable. Italian beef is best when there is some moisture, but the bun was not the right type to keep its structure. Sides are probably the most overpriced item. I once ordered the tater tots, thinking that there would be something special about them since they're called Terry's Tater Tots, but they weren't treated in any special way and as far as I could tell, I had spent $7.50 for half a bag of Ore-Ida. The main reason to come here is the beer selection, which is mostly small breweries from California. Lots of different types with helpful information posted (e.g. ABV and IBU) so you can make an informed choice. There are several TVs, but it doesn't seem like the staff always pays attention to what's showing. I have to assume it's mainly through their proximity to Santa Clara University and college students desperate for a place to buy a beer and watch the game. You might think a place called Wicked Chicken can at least deliver a tasty wing or chicken tender, but you would be sorely mistaken. Everything is drenched is sauce and the breading falls off the chicken way to easily. Getting the breading to properly bond to the meat is Fried Chicken 101 and somehow a place named after it still hasn't figured it out. And that is all before the prices. Don't get me started on the price... $26.50 for 10 wings? What planet are you living on? That is reason enough to walk out the door to go find something better and more in line with reality. Honestly the only bright spot on their menu is their fried-food appetizers as both the Onion Rings and Curly Fries were quite good, though they make you pay extra if you want ranch which is an absolute joke when you are already charging $7.50 for a moderately-sized basket. Learn from my mistakes. Do yourself a favor and steer clear.
