The staff were friendly and service was quick...and the prices were still normal...not exorbitant like you usually come to expect inside the terminals. I got a turkey sandwich on whole grain and they made it exactly how I asked. And it was nice and toasty too...all the ingredients tasted fresh and the veggies were crisp. They even had Zapps chips which are a Lousiana brand I've always loved from my time living there! It was so awesome to get to have those again! They're incredibly flavorful kettle style chips! Yum!! The 3 people on duty was doing their best for a weekend evening, but they were getting orders confused and on two occasions nearly charged another guest's food on our order. One person seemed to call the orders, while the other two were assembling the orders and collecting payment. Seemed like the person who took our order could help with assembly, and the third person focus on being the cashier. Make sure you're charged for what you order. When the food was presented to us, we still had to ask for forks. Guess it wasn't obvious how we'd eat our order. The salads tasted decent, esp. since we didn't make any changes to the offerings... Rude and very condescending. My first time recommended by my workers. I am in the traveling industry and wanted to like this place. Today around 3:00-3:15 PM, 01/19/23 I ordered my sandwich and soup. I encountered this young lady with highlighted braids, she was very short and dismissive when I try to ask a question. I needed my receipt but she just crumbled it and I never got i them though I politely asked for it before paying. I just left and don't want to confrontations, since I am still on the clock. We ordered two sandwiches and 2 shakes to go via the Potbelly's app on Sunday, July 16th at about noon. We thought this would save time as there was a long line. We waited until our appointed pickup time and our order was not on the designated shelves. We inquired and our order was not complete because the store had no cups. (How does a store run out of cups?!?!) Potbelly's could not refund us for the shakes and told us to call the phone number for customer service which they didn't have available. If we had not bothered to ask about our order, we still would have sitting there waiting. I've sent the company an email through their contact us page on their website and sent a tweet to their account. No response. Both were excellent, but we both liked mine best. One regular sandwich was a lot of food. For airport pricing it wasn't out of control for two sandwiches chips and a bottle of water it was around $25. The service was great. The staff was friendly. We filled out a survey on our receipt at the end of our meal and got a free cookie. The cookie was a cherry chip. It was also quite tasty. I ordered an Italian--original, wheat, and with everything except tomatoes because nahhhhh to tomatoes, am I right? Anyways, I was out of there in less than 5 minutes. The sandwich was amazing! Nicely packed, yummy meats, delicious hot peppers, good size where I didn't still feel hungry but also not like I made a gigantic mistake. I would legit stop by here as a regular restaurant if it weren't an airport joint. After my marvelous meal, I thought a lot about that nice, kind man at my airline desk said. Ok, so PDX broke with the airport rule and allowed a non-NW chain in. The nice part is Potbelly does not feel like a chain. I first encountered them in Dearborn, Michigan while touring the Henry Ford Museum, we stopped at the Pot Belly just down the street. I have been a fan every since. After checking in with the sandwich maker, went with a regular ham/turkey combo that initially had me a little concerned about how little protein was in the sandwich. Thankfully the fresh veggies and Italian seasonings were delightful and stayed fresh until after takeoff. Also appreciated the fact that I was able to munch on my sandwich discreetly without a pile of crumbs in my cramped airplane seat and without disturbing other passengers who were fast asleep. Placed my order ar 10:15 while coming off a plane at pdx. The website said open til 10:30. Arrived to find the whole place shut down but lights still on. A young man emerged and explained that they were closed. I pointed out that it was 15 min prior to close and he said, sorry I've got to get to bed because it is a school night. So it's about 10am and I'm waltzing through the airport waiting for a friend to land. Have bit bit of crazing for a hot sandwich so the name pot belly is definitely an memorable name so after seeing the signage I decided to try it out for the first place. Standing in line you have a chance to view the wall menu. Decides on Italian sandwich and saw another sign suggesting you can do half mix Match sandwich and soup or sandwich and salad. Quickly I decided to try the powerhouse salad which consists of spinach, 1/2 boiled eggs and what appear to 1/6 or a scoop of a spinach lol. No problem. Paid and a hot tasty looking ready for you. What I noticed is very little eye contact from the 3 people to assisted me. Cashier was too busy entering something on a calculator. Sandwich person looked down the whole time and seems she wasn't to interested in helping anyone nor make any sandwiches. Came here only because it seemed like the best option at the PDX airport. The menu is pretty straight forward. You order what type of sandwich you want - they have a good variety and decent price point. You can get a wrap, a normal sized sandwich or a large one. We opted for the bigs only because it can feed two people. You can add toppings and some have an extra cost to it. We opted for the Italian. There are two stations, first station is where they ask what type of bread you want (white or wheat) then you let them know what type of sandwich. They add the meat and cheese and they toast it. The next station is where you can add the toppings. At this particular location, the list of toppings is right behind the sandwich maker. We just added the basic items on there: lettuce, tomato, onions, Italian seasoning, pickles, and hot peppers. Let me tell you, those hot peppers were HOT but oh so good. Our sandwich was hot and stayed warm for some time. Wished the cheese was a little bit more prominent in the sandwich and the pickles were not the conventional pickles. It didn't have that crunch and that tangy flavor. The peppers, like I've stated were hot and it was so good. Overall it wasn't a bad sandwich.
