The window's plastic just completely falls apart and the locks failed. We've reached out to them several times for issues with the windows. We had a great experience with Power Home for our window installation from start to finish. The salespeople that we dealt with were very professional and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. Every appointment we had was on time and easy to schedule. The installers did an amazing job, worked fast and efficiently and were very professional. They also went above and beyond to have an inspector come out after the job was finished to explain in detail the functionality of the windows and to make sure each window was installed correctly for the warranty, he did an amazing job as well. This guy came in to give an estimate. He didn't leave home for 3,5 hours. I have two kids! He ruined my evening. I kindly made him leave our home. Well. They tried to replace it with the a different color again(which we didn't care about, it was the design at this point), but still different. This was after I was called and was told after covid lifts they would make everything right. These original shutters are faded and the color will be impossible (totally fine) but now we have to go hunt down our exact shutter design and then they will will refund us for it after. While I understand that's a small solution. Power came to our home. Replaced 11 windows(15, 3 years ago too!). Took off the shutters and placed them on the ground. Claiming the amazon delivery person stepped on one. The principle of it is the solution is not satisfying. I don't care who stepped on it. If I came and did a job for someone and broke something, I would never tell them find the item and I'll pay you back. I would make sure to find the item and I'll fly to get it to make my customer happy. Especially a 2 time customer. Disappointed and kinda surprised, but I'll handle it myself and replace my shutters because I would prefer them to look the same on the front of my home. I won't be using Power for anything in the future, regardless of quality. I was referring many, which I also won't be continuing. Good luck with who you choose! We had Power ultimately come out to replace all of the windows to our home and add the solar shield in our attic. The experience overall was great and we were very happy with the purchase. We then had them come out to also replace our drafty front door. Again, we were and still are happy with the experience and purchase. Periodically I receive a follow up call from Power to sell me more services/products. On this most recent call from Power, I actually did have another door to replace. The person I spoke with said that "unless I had more than just a door, that Power wouldn't want to come out". Wow, ok, you called me, a customer who has spent over $20k with this company thus far. Here I am ready to spend what would probably be at least a few thousand more dollars on a door and have them say it wasn't enough! That's wild but I guess good for them that they are so busy they can call previous customers looking for work and turn them down if the job isn't big enough. I think its rude and a waste of my time. After reading some of the Reviews here it's scary to see how similar my experience was. First off, I did not hire this company and, after the hire pressure, and very lengthy, sales pitch. From the initial, unsolicited, offer to set up a "free" estimate from the cute girl ringing my doorbell, the the young, earnest, sales rep who spent 3+ hours doing a presentation (which the girl told me would take "about an hour") this was your classic high pressure sales pitch. There was the inspection, which of course revealed "problems" that could lead to "major repairs". There was the lengthy presentation emphasizing the far superior quality of this company's products. There was the product demonstrations. There was the lengthy, detailed, price quotes for each window, and specific groups of windows. Then, there was finally the high pressure closing, during which you were offered a "substantial" discount if you signed "right now!" Towards the end of the presentation I started laughing, in spite of myself (didn't mean to be rude) but this whole sales stick was just too much. I do intend to get replacement windows (although after reading some of the comments here I'm going to go outside and see if this guy did any damage while doing his exterior "inspection" - don't leave them alone) but I would be reluctant to use these guys. They seem to be very over-priced and I'm not sure their products are that much superior to competitors. We shall see. read more

From there, the process was smooth, and the people involved were highly professional. The crew arrived on time, and finished within a few hours. The job site was clean, as if they were never here, except the gutters look phenomenal. I highly recommend this company. The prices are fair. The customer service is top notch. We hired Power to replace 5 windows, 1 set of patio doors and our front door with side lights. For the most part things went smooth with the installation. Things could have been explained a bit better like how to open the double hung windows to wash them. The issue now is actually getting them to follow through with their warranty. Our front door was very costly and is now turning all different colors. Power has been back twice to address this issue and nothing has been resolved. The last time they were here was about 6 months ago. That was when we were told that the whole frame would be replaced. We spoke to Power today and was informed that they are having issues with their distributors. We were also informed that they will try to re stain the door. Normally I would NEVER answer the door for a solicitor but I couldn't duck out of view in time. I had never heard of this group and somehow missed all the bad reviews when I googled them. Long story short: I got suckered into an appointment for windows I don't want, but the guy was nice so I felt bad not doing it. The appointment setter called to verify the appointment and wouldn't tell me how long it was going to take. That should have been a clue. Appointment time came. The person was nice. This rating has nothing to do with him. He just works for a shady company. It took 10 minutes to get measurements. The quote for a front door, gutters, and 18 windows....$52,000. To add insult to injury I lost 4 hours of my life for this ridiculousness. They WILL NOT LEAVE YOUR HOME! You will have to tell them a hundred times that you are NOT interested. They will pull discounts out of the air and get you down $10,000 and tell you if you book now it's even cheaper! But It's all a scam!! Even at the lowest quote, it's still more than you should be paying. Avoid these people at Sam's Club. Do NOT make eye contact when you walk by and do NOT answer the door if you see a nice young guy standing outside ringing your doorbell. Quoted $8,200 for a front door...I'm still blown away. PS. We had a bad seal on one window and now our bay huge window has a bad seal. We have been waiting over a year for a replacement. Now called for the 2nd window and they said 12 to 15 months for the replacement. I am beyond frustrated that I am making payments on windows that aren't good. 12 to 15 months is not acceptable for any replacements. I don't understand how they are at the mercy of the manufacturer. Switch manufacturers then. You are putting in new windows all Over my windows but can't fix the ones you have already installed that are faulty. Not right! read more

I will start by saying the windows are not too terrible. Purchasing them to the install was not bad. The issues start when what the salesperson says to you and what the company does. Lie is what it is usually called. Bend the truth. Stretch to facts. Simply put, stay away from Power Home remodeling. The first time I called about an issue, no problem. 4 of the 15 screens on my new windows tore. This is something my salesperson said would not happen. During my warranty request call, the person I spoke with said there was no such thing and it took maybe 30 minutes of discussion before I could get them to schedule someone. Well 2 more screens ripped and they would not be able to come to repair them for 6 months. Now I am having issues with one of the screen frames as well as the gas inside the window turning to look like dirty bubbles. Now they are saying the screens were never covered for tears and rips, but would replace the window sash's (3 of them) but it would be 6-8 months to have them made and put in. Last week I received a call saying my window sash's were being delivered and would be left on my door stoop. Not installed, not taken care of, just dropped off. The person said I could schedule someone to come out in the next 6-8 months if I wasn't capable of putting in the window sash myself. Then of course my call just happen to be dropped. So now I sit, with 3 window sash's to be put in, ripped screens that will not be fixed and a lifetime warranty of lies, deceit, and mistruths. On top of that, someone walking around my neighborhood knocked on my door. It happened to be a Power salesperson. My wife gave them an earful and was told that we should call them back because screens are covered and installers are supposed to take care of our repairs. Nope. I really don't want to deal with this shady inconsistent untruthful company at all. But after $13,000 for my ranch house windows, only 4 years after the install, 3 window failures, 7 window screen failures and a lifetime warranty that they can shove.. read more

Homeowners BEWARE. Their "guarantee" means very little. We hired them to do a fairly simple gutter installation and have had the worst experience since then. The work was incredibly poorly done by their contractors . One visit from an honest contractor friend pointed out that there were six or seven different shortcuts taken in the installation process and some parts were already falling down. Then began the complete lack of concern on their part. The first attempts at contact took about two months to get someone back out to correct THEIR mistake. The work was redone (I assume very begrudgingly). Only to result in the pictures posted below. The redone, corrected, newly guaranteed work, had blown off with the next mild storm. It has now been 2.5 months since I notified them of this second round of horribly poor work. And their people are not scheduling any appointments to rectify this. The bottom line? HORRENDOUS service!!! Everything was going great we had our roof installed and then we were supposed to have our gutters done our gutters were supposed to be done on Friday the 6th but due to rain they pushed installation date to Saturday totally understandable. then our Saturday installation date was canceled with no reason given to us and we were told that we would have installation on Monday the 9th and that somebody would be here between 730 and 9:30 AM. I called at 8 am because we were putting a down payment for the project and I was told at that time I would get a text to give me an eta of the crews arrival shortly. That NEVER came. at 10 AM I called because no one was at my house installing my gutters I was told that whoever told me the timeframe of 730 to 930 am gave me incorrect information and that someone would be to our house by end of the day and I would again get a text to confirm an ETA. This text again, NEVER came! I called at 3pm because nobody was there still and was told that they were hold up on another project and that if somebody wasn't there by end of day I would get a call to reschedule. Nobody called me so I decided to call at about 530pm asking what's going on I was told by the representative who I spoke with that the people who were supposed to install our gutters were refusing to come out due to gas prices being too high so I was lied to all day saying that we were just later in the day on the list when they knew that no one was coming to our house. We were then rescheduled for this Thursday the 12th. I was supposed to get a text message confirming the installation date of Thursday the 12th for our gutters and I never got it again! so I called and inquired about it, the person I spoke with told me that no we have you down for installation for Friday the 13th I said absolutely not somebody needs to be in my house today I'm not being rescheduled for a fourth time the individual I spoke with called a crew and was able to get them out to my home to install the gutters within the hour that was the only person who was actually helpful and didn't lie to me. We also are having issues with billing where our initial contact told us that our billing would not start until July 25 and when we called in and inquired about that we were told no your billing is due to start June 15 so an entire month earlier than we expected. We were met with the excuse of well that person shouldn't have told you a start date for billing they must've thought your project was going to start later than it did. This company and its employees will do nothing but LIE through their teeth to get a sale. We had such a pleasant experience with the roof installers and then after a quality inspection where we gave them raving reviews and even left a positive review on google per their request EVERYTHING went down hill fast and hard. I am so upset we decided to give them our business and we never will again. Their customer service is absolutely disgusting and despicable. I called back after our gutters were installed wanting to speak with management about all of the issues that we have had and was told that all of management was at a conference so the best that they could do was take my number and somebody would call me back at a later day absolutely terrible ! read more

I worked with Power to install new sidings and gutters. They are expensive but their presentation and flexibility to start quickly made the cost initially easier to digest. However, they did not hold to their original schedule for the gutter installation and didn't let me know until several days later. After they finally did install the gutters, the contractors left the old gutter dirt and leaves all over my lawn (see picture), leaving me to clean it up. I was shocked by how they could overlook the mess. Power just offered an apology but since I already cleaned it up, they wouldn't offer anything else, not even a small discount--keep in mind this cost me $~17K. The person I talked to about this was frustrating, repeating talking points. Ultimately, the sidings and gutters look just okay; the breaking in sidings are a bit too visible for my liking (see picture) and the professionalism left a lot to be desired considering the premium costs. 2 stars. read more

THE EXACT same thing happened to us tonight that I read in Saad Z's review from a couple months ago... Sales girl comes 45 mins late due to bad traffic on a Wednesday night. And then DOESN'T LEAVE MY DAMN HOUSE UNTIL 12:30AM. I don't know why we didn't kick her out sooner, but my husband and I both work and have a baby.... even when announcing to my husband I was going to bed she didn't take a clue... Not to mention the whole sales pitch was very gimmicky and wayyyyy overpriced for the projects she was tacking on. $20,000 for siding on our average-sized house? Please... After soliciting our business by ringing our doorbell and after my partner talked to them twice about our needs (they called to follow up on the appointment and to get specs), they cancelled at the last minute saying that they couldn't help us. They tried to insist that I be present for the estimate appointment but my partner is the one who is handling the aluminum siding update that we are planning to do. I had power guys come to my house to give me a free roof inspection. After inspecting, they gave us a 90 mins long presentation on their tablet. Because I am 21 years old, they assumed that I have no knowledge of housing and literally tried scamming me by giving me an estimate of $35000, and they did not want me to talk to my insurance. He said insurance won't approve it and they'll lower your insurance rating, blah, blah, blah... He gave me an offer that if I say yes today, I will pay $28000 with 8% interest. if I don't say yes today, I will pay $35000 with 17% interes . he just wanted me to take a $28000 loan right at that moment. I was like, cmon man I can't just spend that much money without thinking about it!! Now I'm getting my roof done in $1500 which is my deductible. I would suggest that if you ever see these guys on your doorstep, NEVER LET THEM IN!! read more

Wish these post were here a whole ago. I agree they lie and the quality of windows are awful. I can't see out of mine at night due to condensation and the refuse to test it and only state if they can't find a problem they can't fix it. I am no window expert but try checking the seal at minimum. Also my patio door is blotching from manufacturer..they sent someone and he blamed my dog who can't even reach the middle of the door. The guy even spit on it during the pandemic. My bedroom is hot in summer and cold in winter. I have been in my home 20 years..I have never had so much noise and i have never had any condensation. I am at the point where I trapped in my home and robbed at the same time. They refuse to do anything. I have sent email photos etc. Time to contact a lawyer I guess. Sales rep even called..all he said was ..sorry to hear..I will take you off the call list. Worst decision I ever made was doing business with POWER WINDOWS. read more

10 years ago we purchased windows for the front of our home from Power Home. The short answer is, do not purchase windows from this company as they are crap. We have had numerous problems with caulking, both interior and exterior and the windows themselves have all been replaced at least once, some as many as three times, waiting for a fourth. I fear that we may now have to actually purchase new windows as it appears that the company is not honoring the warranty that came with this product. The good, if you purchase windows, at least you can skip on cleaning them since you'll be replacing them after each failure. read more

We made an appointment for the next day because the sales rep told us that there was an appointment available with someone who would be in our area around the time we would be available.
