We've gotten estimates in the past year or so and almost, ALMOST went with Feldco. I ran into a young man in Sam's club and decided to get another quote from Power. Get estimates so you know what's reasonable and what isn't. You do need to haggle. Don't accept their first quote. Estimates can take upwards of several hours, by the way. I like that there's a no money down option to finance with companies that work with Power, so we have a low interest rate and low payment without out-of-pocket cash. It also takes at least 2 to 3 months to get an install date, which was fine. The windows were done a few days ago and already I notice a difference with noise because our community storm alarm thing is really close to our house and it wasn't as loud as it usually is. They look beautiful too! The team that came was made up of 3 guys who all spoke Polish, but worked like a well oiled machine! I was very, very impressed. Nothing was left dirty and they were considerate and respectful. A project manager called me in the morning and then showed up to check on the job as well. Be aware, your house will stink for several days- the vinyl, I think, but I'm not sure. Right now I'm pleased as punch. If that changes, I'll update this review. My new windows look fantastic and their warranty is the best I've seen. read more

Stay away, the sales team makes promises that are simply bait and switch to the highest degree. Let me also state that i had used Power for my roof and they did a great job, given that experience I wanted to go with them for my windows as well, despite knowing they will be most likely more expensive. They were more expensive of course, by a ton... but given the warranty, "flexible financing", and energy savings it would be worth it. The financing was a complete bait and switch, shame on me for not reading the details, but they sign you up for a loan with Greensky at a reduced monthly rate. I was told my payment would be 250/month for 12 years, the paper work states that as my payment, so i sign. I have no intention of paying the minimum payment over the entire course of the loan, but like the flexibility of having a lower payment, in case there are times that i have other unexpected expenses that pop up. Turns out the loan is front loaded with interest only payments for the first 5 months! "As this is a promotional period available to me, in case i want to put other purchases on the loan", or some bull crap they fed me when i called. Not only that, but after this "promotion period" the payment goes up! so the monthly payment is not even what was communicated to me! So i signed off on a loan with the understanding of a monthly payment that was not actually the duration of the loan but rather an interest only promotion... The real icing on the cake was my utility bill didn't even go down! so much for the savings there.. Oh another funny lie, i was told that their windows are so advanced dogs get confused because if they lie down in the sun they cant even feel heat through these windows! Completely not true, if i sit by the window in the sun it gets warm no different then any other window. Its a punch in the gut when the driver behind paying a premium is monthly utility savings and that doesn't happen. Long story short, there are much more reputable companies that have more ethical sales processes. If I am a victim there are more victims out there! I felt so dirty after finding all this out that i wanted to post something on Twitter about #metoo or comparing Power Home to Harvey Weinstein in how they violate their customers. Very shady company. I filled out a window quote request on Instagram and power home remodeling called me from a number in Franklin park. They called me three times within a two hours window. I finally answered and they Ask a lot of personal questions like what time do I get home what time does my husband get home and they mention my husband's first name which I never provided on the form. I asked how he gain knowledge of my husbands name, and he said I just work for the company. I said I don't feel comfortable and I'm not interested. When I said that, he replied that he's not interested either. Seems just a little shady. read more

We took the next step to have a sales person come out and they explained everything very well and showed us high-quality products that we were very impressed about. Gutter replacement. The job is complete, and they were quick to get it scheduled, completed, and billed. The work completed was very sloppy (found over a dozen 3" nails in my yard), and when I notified them of the issues, I only got a small violin playing in the background, and now I seem to be on the do not contact list. I have called and emailed (with pictures) and no response. This company uses sub-contractors and I recommend contacting the sub's directly because Power adds nothing to the project except an upcharge. If you do choose to use this company, make sure to pay attention to the details because they do not, and quality control after visit is actually a sales pitch on your next project. read more

Got a phone call this morning from this company. Set up an appointment. Then a couple hours later received an automated phone call from them to call back to confirm the appointment. I called them back, and long story short, they had lied to me about the terms of the appointment and the window brand they will represent. So, no need to deal with a snake of a company. 1) The sales rep never asked me my color choice or showed me any samples. I thought at some point before install day someone would check with me but the sales rep apparently just put a color down and didn't ask. The day before install I asked about it and was able to put in a "change of color". 2) The inspection was on 4/20 and at the end I was informed they would be installing Friday 4/22. On 4/21 at 6:30 AM I wake up to guys putting ladders up and starting the work, and I had to scramble to get the dog out of the house and to boarding. No one informed me they would be coming a day early. I may not have even been home for all they knew. 3) The sales rep told me I would need 320 ft of new decking due to water damage and was included in the price quoted to me. He stressed the urgency of replacing the decking so that the rafters didn't become more compromised. This is one of the reasons I was told that my roof urgently needed attention. Day of install they started on underlayment while demo continued in other areas of the roof. I went out and and asked one of the guys on the ground what about the decking? He said he was told nothing about new decking. I asked him to call his supervisor, because the rep stressed to me decking was necessary. The guy went up inside the attic and came down saying "now he could see what I was talking about" and they would replace the decking. At this point I'm still not sure if they were going to leave the bad decking and charge me for replacing it, or if it never really needed replacing in the first place and they agreed to do it on install day to save face. Either way doesn't look good to me. Had I not been home, I never would have known the difference. 4) At the end of the install, the quality assurance rep came and signed off on everything, collected payment, the crew left and I thought that was that. The next morning, imagine my surprise when the roofing inspector stops by to drop off more shingles and says there's a small area they need to finish!!?? No one mentioned this to me on the day of install. Unfortunately my roof is 2 stories and I wasn't able to see everything so I have no idea how much of my roof is exposed or what exactly they didn't finish. It is now 5 days after install and no one has shown up to complete it and we've had rain twice. I had to call Power and ask for an update and their response was that someone came and finished it the day after install, which is absolutely not true as I was home the entire day, and it was pouring rain. Not to mention the materials are still untouched on my porch. I'm still trying to get answers and they said the next time someone can come out to look is May 3rd, TWELVE days after my install. This is after they emphasized all work would be continuous in their sales pitch. I now have concerns that I'll have water damage from rain on the unfinished roof. Overall this experience has just been one poor communication after another, lots of confusion for me and no one seems to be able to give straight answers to anything. They took an already stressful experience and made it even more stressful by making me feel like I have to be responsible and on top of them to ensure my roof is correctly completed. read more

Nick was a great help in answering all of our questions. Power was great to work with, the work crew was respectful and their craftsmanship was was perfect. From beginning to end Power answered all questions and performed as they described in our gutter and fascia replacement. the double hung window has been fine for several years... however the bay window has failed for the second time. will have to call and have it replaced again...and redo the trim and caulking and repaint the whole wall again ourselves! there is clouding between the panes again... sad read more

Do not use this company! They are essentially a MLM scheme looking to take advantage of the elderly or uninformed homeowners. Never trust door to door sales, especially when it comes to home improvements. They do windows, siding, or roofing. A company who has only three jobs will attempt to coax you into believing something is wrong with one or all of those categories. I opened the door for their salesman and he used typical tactics to make me comfortable before I had a chance to say I wasn't interested. "Sorry to bother you...We were in the neighborhood...your neighbor down the street (salesman tried to think of a name and landed on the Hispanic variation of his name) was getting his windows done." As if I were concerned with or even know this person two blocks west of me. Next, he pointed out that it looked like I had "algae" growing on my front porch column and wood siding. The thing is, I had just redone my front porch in October '21 and built that column myself, using proper wood, sealant, caulking, primer, and paint. Also, our siding is vinyl. I spent years working with a home inspector/remodeler and time as an insurance disaster subcontractor, so I know when certain things are inadequate and also know the techniques, unfortunately, that some businesses do to upsell unsuspecting customers or catastrophize nonexistent issues. Its a sick tactic and I got out of it. He continued with somewhat personal questions and asked if I had a spouse. When either of us would be home and so on. A little unnecessary but I sort of felt bad for this kid. So I went through with scheduling an appointment, knowing I would cancel, in hopes of that scheduling gaining him something towards his commission. I canceled next day, though, after reading more reviews of their company. Former employees admitting that they prey on "dumb customers" and brag about selling their overpriced, uncalled for home improvements. The reviews of their physical work are not great either. This type of predatory sales should be made illegal. I can easily see an older person or homeowner with no knowledge of upkeep or home improvement being duped by this. They send out young people who obviously have zero experience in the trades to sell their work and products while following a script. I feel bad for the salesmen actually. Shame on this company for taking advantage of a desperate, youthful work force and unsuspecting homeowners. If you see them in your neighborhood, do not answer the door or tell them you have no interest in what they are selling. I'm sure those on the top of the pyramid are making some cash off of these immoral tactics. read more

Do yourself a favor and move on to the next person. The Wife: The initial visit from the sales rep was very long and thorough; (3 hours demonstrating all the features of the windows.). Seems like a great product; however there was a $2000 difference in price if we signed the night of the estimate. While we didn't like that approach at all, we finally decided to sign. The next day we were upset we did that because we wanted to get more estimates. So we called the next day to cancel the contract. Done very professionally on the phone; however we were told we needed to have someone visit our house to get our signatures on the cancellation. So it was the Sales Director who came and he kept trying to get at what the sales rep did wrong. We explained it had nothing to do with the sales rep; it was the pricing policy we did not like. Suffice it to say, we couldn't get the guy to leave; he was here over a half hour on a Friday night and we couldn't get rid of him. He kept asking the same questions and I kept giving him the same answers so at that point we asked him very clearly to leave. My husband wanted to take a photo of the paperwork from their proposal box, and the Sales Director grabbed it away from my husband. It was pretty comical; my husband finally showed him to the door; it was a very unpleasant experience. read more

We are indeed ready to move forward, but as a real estate investor, and not the average homeowner who puts too much trust into the first company they contact, anyone looking for some estimates must get at least 3 quotes. That's the smart thing to do. Are you telling me they shouldn't? If you agree with me, then the quote you left should have been the $15k and then if you wanted to have a "decision window", have it be a week, not 5 minutes. So sure, you left a quote with us,...your $20,000 quote though, not the $15,000 quote. You are the only window company that does this. ... AND THEN! ...you have a guy call our house asking how you guys did, I complain about the above issues and another bait and switch! He says, well we review past quotes and time to time we notice we can offer a better deal. When can I have someone come out to go back over pricing. REALLY? ?? You guys need to stop! So in all fairness, I really like the windows and the installers did a nice job. The reason for 2 starts is two fold. One is the sales experience or maybe the sales tactics really irritated me. I talked with Power first and when they gave the estimate, the price is only good if you say yes right then. If you want a second estimate the price is different. I made it very clear how unethical I thought this tactic was and how unfair it is to any consumer that doesn't know what is fair. They have not had any windows or price to compare and have to commit or walk away. And in the end, if Power has the nicest window at a fair price, the price now is higher. They call is a first visit discount and say their expenses go up with each visit. Keep in mind that I was not looking for the cheapest price, just the best value. The next issue was that the replacement windows were to be put in the original windows frames. The sales person measured and then a "seasoned person with extensive experience" came to double check the measurements. Windows were ordered. They were pushed back because of a backorder. We were called to reschedule. This was fine, I understand the current situation. A couple of days before the next tentative install, we were called to say one window was on its way, all the rest were in, we would be called to confirm the install day was still good. No one called and it was moved one day. Then when the installers get to our home with the new windows, he says he does not think our style can have the frames reused, starts to take the first one out, and confirms it. So now, we either need bigger windows or the installer has to build new frames, which means more labor and more materials. In the meantime I now have a house with a removed window that can not be reinstalled. He calls Power and they make like it's one of those unexpected things and I will be responsible for the additional materials and labor. My position was they are the professionals and if the install was thinking the frames were not reusable, then the seasoned guy double checking measurements should have known and we discuss the issue at that time. I could have agreed to the upcharge or cancel the contract if it wasn't accurate. So anyway, I agreed to having the one window installed and fully trimmed out to see if it looked ok. I have to admit the installer did a great job of making it look very nice. The only issue I have is that since they had to cut out the old window frame, they damaged much of the siding j-trim. I brought this up to the guy from Power and he said they would replace all of the j-trim. He stated that is a typical part of installation. I asked how they could do that because they are nailed in behind the siding. He said they could pull back the siding enough to replace it. I stated I didn't think they could but he assured me they could. As it turns out, the installer looked at me like "seriously?" when I told him what the guy from Power said. What they did was conver the damage with aluminum trim and caulk it in. Again, it looks very nice, but it is not what I was told would be done. So then another Guy from power comes to inspect the work and activate my warranty. As I was going around the house with him he was making comments that caused me to say "I thought you were just here toinspect but it sounds like you're here to sell me more." He said no he wasn't there to sell me anything. He did his inspection and asked for a review. I stated everything I have stated here and made it very clear what I thought of the sales tactics. In the end, he pointed out some stains and damage on some soffit and facia. He gave me a quoote on new soffit, facia and gutters, even though the gutters are new. He said they couldn't take them down and reinstall them. That was total BS. They have screws and reusable hangers. He gave a price that I thought was extremely high. Then he gave a second price that was $4,000 less, but I had to commit right then before he left. I gave a hard and firm, NO. He already new he was going to piss me off. Just give me a fair price that you can hold for a couple of weeks. read more

Wow! I am incredibly surprised to see the negative reviews!! We had Power come to give us a quote on a few broken windows with the hope of selling our home in a few years. Although the initial appt was longer than we expected, we were really pleased with the quality and the affordability of the windows. The 10 windows were installed on time and look great. We were so pleased with the windows that a few weeks later we had them quote replacing our 30 year old drafty bay window. Again, we had a great experience and will definitely call them out again when we are ready replace our front door! read more

Be careful what you get. I got an in home estimate for replacing my roof and got a quote of $75,0000 to replace the roof. They gave me some song and dance about "Do I want it done, or do I want it done right?" for 75 thousand dollars I could tear down my house and rebuild it. Power group is predatory at best. After I told them no, they called daily for months multiple times. they knocked on my door once a week. Years later they still come to my door after I've told them never to knock on my door again. read more

Stay away from these scammers. We spent over $60K to have them install all new Windows and siding. Our VERY expensive door arrived in the WRONG color and was told since I signed the paper it wasn't their problem. HUGE issue number one. The windows were fine. We had no problems with that. The siding was probably the BIGGEST disaster or a lifetime. They completely screwed up the whole job. There was a different Project Manager every single day. The site supervisor spoke no english and his crew only spoke Spanish. They had the wrong siding on most of my house until I came home. they tore it all down. They literally had two different size shutters and wrong colors on 3 windows. Horrific cratsmanship. We have had it less than 6 months and there is already section of siding coming off the house. Left a huge mess with cigarettes butts, nails and section of cut siding and styrofoam all over my yard - I am STILL cleaning it up. If I could get a full refund I WOULD! read more

WOW! A "power guy" was just here 15 minutes ago. He started telling me that my shingles on my roof were old, curled, and needed to be replaced. Hhhmmm that's odd! We literally JUST HAD OUR ROOF DONE WITHIN THE LAST 2 YEARS! I asked what made him think that? He said he was "just walking by" and noticed. Interesting! After I said we just had our roof done less then 2 years ago, he immediately changed his tune and then said "oh, ok then you should be fine." Really? You think so? I watched him walk away and he was joined by someone else and continued to walk my street going from house to house. So my guess is EVERY HOUSE has roof issues? Gimme a freaking break! House after house they went to every house on my street. I should have wasted his time, given me a quote for how bad my roof is and then called BBB. Salesman ignored neighborhood no solicitation signs but I listened to the pitch anyway and agreed to have someone come by for a estimate. I then saw the reviews here and realized that was a big mistake. I get a call to confirm estimate appointment from a automated system that made me sit on hold for about 2-3 minutes before getting a live person to actually confirm. At this point, I'm done and no desire to waste couple hours to get a estimate. The lady on the phone was very rude, trying to ignore my request to cancel. Should of listened to my gut the first time they knocked and just said no, thank you. Update to 1 star- I've ask this company to stop calling me and they keep ignoring my requests. I was not able to afford the siding and the trim at this time, but felt it was best to start with the trim for now.
