Prime what can I say probably the best steakhouse on Long Island went there with my son my wife and his friend for a birthday dinner tonight unbelievable I had a tomahawk ribeye probably the most expensive thing on the menu what a knockout greatest steak I ever ate my wife had a 2 pound lobster that melted in her mouth with hot drawn butter. About the waiter his name is Brian big son of a gun but what a sweet heart came over to my wife and broke a lobster up for her and took all that sweet delicious lobster meat out of the shell an excellent server I highly recommend going there for lunch or dinner and make sure that Brian is working and you wanna sit by the table he is serving top shelf AAA service I love this place can't wait to go back. Anniversary Dinner - My husband and I celebrated our 1 year Anniversary on July 22nd and wanted to have dinner with a view, but got rained out. (Last year on our wedding day, we came to prime to celebrate after our wedding and had to sit indoors because of rain... so you can feel my disappointment .... Sooooo we tried for a week later, which was last night! Success! Beautiful weather and a great view! I did request to have a table with a beautiful view as I am a sucker for sunsets. Our table was under the awning and definitely had an amazing view! Our waiter was really nice and great! Service amazing! For our wedding last year I ordered the Wellington and decided to repeat it this year. Love, Love, LOVE it! I sorta told my husband this should be our go to yearly Anniversary place so I can order that! Oh yeah, we had a crab cake which was amazing as well. My husband order the Lobster roll and had substituted the fries for truffle ones, which i stole a few to eat because they were really good! I am big on dessert and chocolate, I must say, it's not the restaurants fault, it's COVIDS (I will have a discussion with it another day) but they did not have that SPECIAL Brownie, ice cream for two. So we skipped on dessert BUT the waiter knew it was our anniversary and brought out the chocolate mousse cake with vanilla ice cream, candle and Happy Anniversary Sign! It was really nice and cute. Obviously we had to have a few bites and will say it was very good. The best part of this evening was that my husbands parents, my in-laws, called Prime up and paid for our entire dinner! Absolutely delicious. We initially made a reservation online and requested to sit outdoors. We didn't realize that the outdoor section wasn't directly on the water, and we were looking for something more casual, so we sat on the dockside instead. The waitress mentioned a lot of the dockside food is actually cooked in its own food truck like area which was cool. The dockside has a limited menu and first come first serve basis. Everything is also served on plastic plates for safety reasons. The views at the sunset were beautiful with tons of boats coming by. One wedge salad came with 4 individual heads of lettuce so perfect for sharing. The lobster and shrimp wontons were crunchy and tasted fresh. For dinner I had the Montauk roll and red roof roll and it may have been the best sushi I've ever head. The lobster comes already cut and ready to eat. It comes with a chimichurri sauce that was tasty. I had a bite of my friends filet Mingon which was tender and cooked to order. The potato salad that comes with it has a smoky flavor which was different but good. Would definitely return to dockside for a casual dinner again read more

My husband and I went on Saturday night and had the most fantastic dining experience! First, were blown away by the gorgeous view of the water...it feels like your on vacation. The hostess was very accommodating by switching our table from outside to inside due to how hot it was. The food was absolutely delicious... it was a big night for us so we ordered a ton of things: oysters, star sushi roll, gnocchi, burrata, Wellington, porterhouse, brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes, key lime pie and chocolate cake. Everything was so good but my absolute favorites were the sushi roll, burratta and the brussel sprouts. The service was amazing! This place is incredible! Nothing beats their view, food and service on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon. First of all, a HUGE thank you to the wonderful hostess who was able to accommodate our initially indoor reservation to a beautiful outdoor table! Our server (whose name unfortunately escapes me at the moment) was friendly, attentive and just a pleasure. The drinks are perfect, gin and tonic was great and the sangria was one of the best we've had! Food was right up there also. To start, We ordered shrimp and lobster wantons, figs, crab cake and Cesar salad - all amazing. Entrees consisted of steak and eggs, lobster roll, whole lobster and scallops, again top notch. Came here for an early dinner on a Saturday night. Great food and service. We got the shrimp cocktail and burrata to start and the montauk roll, chicken and filet for dinner. Everything was great except I would probably not get the sushi again since it was just okay. Drinks were very good too. Came here for drinks with my love Sunday evening. Hung out in the bar lounge area. Terrell was our bartender and he was extremely personable & pleasant! He made the best French 75 I've ever had with his recommendation of gin (Monkey 47-try it)! The interactions were nothing short of sweet and it truly makes all the difference in the experience. Selected Prime because of it's outdoor dining during Covid. Celebrated a family member's birthday and it didn't disappoint. We had wonderful seating in the outdoor area right along the bay at the marina. And since it was threatening to rain we were in the covered outdoor area which was just beautiful. Our server, Julian, was incredibly attentive and helpful. We had a phenomenal meal and can't wait to go back. They comped the birthday cake and gave the birthday girl a gift card - which is so generous. My only misgiving is I wish I would have tipped more than 25%! If 6 stars was an option, I'd give it to Prime. A friend told me I had to come here for a special occasion. Me and my man came here for our 5 year anniversary and they sure did make us special. All of the staff were so sweet and had excellent recommendations. When we sat down at our table, we were greeted with a happy anniversary note on the table. Our waiter brought us two flutes of Prosecco for a toast. I had the mini filet mignon and he had the NY strip steak. I chose the side of truffle fries and he had the Mac and cheese. Both were fantastic. Our table was inside but by the window so we had a nice view of the sunset/harbor. I truly can't say enough about our experience. Prime is a rare restaurant. Pun intended. It has the perfect combination of outstanding food, splendid service, and superlative ambiance. I am so grateful that our family was able to share my incredible wife's birthday dinner at this gem of a restaurant. Exquisitely perched along the eastern bank of Huntington Harbor, Prime engages the senses in every way. I had the pleasure of watching the sun dip into Huntington Bay in the distance as the sky turned from a firey yellow to a splended pink and then to a soul stirring purple in the blink of an eye. And if you think a restaurant's backdrop isn't important, think again. Prime actually made me take pause and bask in the glory of being alive and of being engulfed in my family's love. Let me just add that as evening fell, the trees exploded with the glow of a thousand lights, and the Harbor took on a new energy. Oh yeah, then there's the food. Top shelf in every way imaginable. The king crab leg appetizer - yes please. The shrimp cocktail - yes please. The mini wedge salad - yes please. The shrimp cocktail - triple yes please. Everything was fresh and of the highest quality. And then there was the filet mignon with lobster accompaniment. Arguably the best filet I have had in 51 years (btw, as of the time of this review, I am 51 years old. Before I forget, the sides even kicked ass. Amazing time at Prime! I've been dying to try this place out. I made reservations a while back but I was unable to make it. I came last night with Jay O. and wasn't sure what to expect. Valet service and seated immediately for our 6pm reservation. Upon sitting we were served their yummy, fluffy buttery, salty, sweet bread roll so delicious! Our waiter Paul was amazing!!! We were off to a great start. We were given the restaurant menu and restaurant week menu. We chose their restaurant week menu as it was a great deal. 60 dollars for three courses with a wine pairing. It was 45 dollars without the wine pairing. We choose their red roof roll and shrimp/lobster wonton. The appetizers were delicious. The wine pairing for each went so well with them. Paul provided great detail about the wines. Second course we each ordered their skirt steak. They were cooked as asked. The Malbec wine pairing was amazing with the steak. Our third course was dessert we ordered cappuccino with it. The cap was great and pipping hot! I ordered the white chocolate cheesecake they had for restaurant week and Jay O. ordered their chocolate torte. The dessert wine were delicious! It was too much food so we took leftovers. Skirt steak, eggs and potatoes in the morning yup delicious breakfast. As we were leaving Jay O. kept thinking of the Argentina sweet Malbec that was the wine pairing for his dessert. We stopped at their bar and he enjoyed another and I ordered their house red sangria. This packed a powerful punch in a great way. I look forward to coming back here soon. So many more food options I would like to try and I will be asking to be seated in Paul's section. Just finished an amazing birthday dinner at Prime with my son. Chelsea, our waitress, was so wonderful- professional, friendly, knowledgeable and lovely. She made some great recommendations regarding a "mocktail" and wine choices and how they would pair with our meals. She was attentive without being overbearing. Truly the epitome of perfect service. The food was outrageous- fresh, delicious and utterly decadent. If I knew I was dying, Prime would be the location of my last meal for their unbelievable crab cake and for their Beef Wellington. Utter perfection! Dessert was a trio of delicious sorbets and a sweet happy birthday gift from Prime. Every part of our meal was truly spectacular- ambience, service, and food. Love this place :) This is what I ordered this time... Crab Cake The crab cake was served hot on a warm plate. Half the plate had a lightly oiled watercress salad with shaved radish. Nice bonus :) And placed over a flavorful sriracha aioili that was spread on the plate. The cake had a semi-thick breading that was browned and not burnt. It was crisp crunch on the outside and soft lump crab inside. This dish exceeded our expectations!!!! Green Lotus The green lotus was cool and served on a cold plate. There was spicy tuna and lump crab inside avocado that was layered around it. It was served with tempura crunch flakes over a drizzle of spicy mayo and eel sauce. The avocado was not evenly sliced and it was layered instead of placed around it to appear like an asian pear as the description said. Probably because we got there late. Still I think that's no excuse for the amount spent Red Roof Roll- my favorite! This roll had fresh shrimp with avocado rolled in seaweed with spicy tuna layered on top. There was chopped green onion, eel sauce and spicy mayo sprinkled over the rolls. The fish was fresh and served with wasabi and sliced ginger. read more

We went Saturday night for our anniversary, and we were disappointed, not to mention being that everything is a la carte, we ordered the mac and cheese side dish and both got sick as hell for 3 days. We've been going here on and off for many years, mostly in the summer months for the ambiance. Overall, if you want to get ripped off, and have a $70 filet mignon come on a dish with absolutely nothing else in it.. this place is for you. I think prime is a great location right on the water years ago used to be a night club which was fun and more casual. Now it's valet parking and an upscale experience park which is nice but I'm a casual guy. That being said the patio is great in the summer with sushi and small plates, more of a bar like scene. I was very disappointed. More than 50% of their menu items were out by the time I was seated. I settled for the HB Burger (dry aged beef, applewood smoked bacon, shallot jam, arugula, tomato, pickles, and cheese). For something that is advertised to be a premium burger, it was flavorless and I would say the patty at Five Guys is juicier than this. My tables's food came out after a table who was seated after us and they had ordered the same items because of the limited menu. Our food came out cold and items were missing. Eh I think this place is only good because of the waterfront view. My friend wanted to eat something small and it was our first time. We put our name on the list and the host said about an hour or so wait. No problem, so we went to the bar. Then out of no where the host called saying a table was ready. Ok cool, that was quick. We sat down and the waitress did not come over for 15 minutes. No one even said "be with you in a minute." Eventually she came over. My friend ordered a sushi roll and we both ordered a speciality drink. First, the drinks took forever we were probably better off going to the bar. But they were served to us in plastic cups. They were weak and charged $14. I get it if we went the bad a plastic cup since you're outside, but at a table you should be serving in glasses. Apparently only if you sit inside you get that. The sushi roll was not that great. We were going to order another drink because we had a friend on their way to meet us, but we saw a dessert plate being brought out to a table next to us. The dessert platter had all different cakes it looked like. So we asked our waitress for a dessert menu and she said "we only have an ice cream sundae." What? We literally just saw a platter being brought out but it's also 85 degrees out, why do I want a sundae to melt as soon as it's brought out? Then we just asked for the check. I get it that it wasn't a large check but we were still a paying customer. We paid and sat for a little bit longer. Our friend met us and sat for a few minutes. He was going to order food and a drink but just as he was going to, the host or manager (not sure who she was) came over and said "you guys can't sit here any more sorry!" ......what?? How rude. Came here for my bday. Sat outside at the bottom of deck on plastic chairs. Service started out ok then they just seemed to lose control. Apps were ok, nothing exciting. Waited forever for a tellers ribeye that was ordered medium rare. Was basically well. Sent back bc it's a 140$ steak. They send another out in 3 minutes that was raw. The manger was saying it's med/rare but was absolutely not. They cooked a little more and was just not a good cut of meat. Grizzly and full of fat. The old man (maybe a manager) was condescending and kind of rude tbh. He brought out steak and used the flashlight from his phone to try and show up the temp. They gave me a piece of cake on the house. We prob should have sent that steak back and request it was taken off the bill. I will not be returning. The price of food doesn't match the quality and service even tho the view is beautiful. We emailed them first and got no response. read more

The Mac n cheese was pretty good. I really just order appetizers, I was accompanied by my brother. Crab cakes was my meal of choice which were two decent size fist balls about plenty of flavor. The one item that I didn't love was the lobster wontons to start. They were room temperature, and I would have preferred them to be very hot.
