It also took quite a while to get our food once we ordered. We got a variety of items - shumai, lo mai gai, ham sui gok, taro curry puff, braised tendon, spare ribs, bbq pork buns, truffle dumplings, and fish paste rice rolls. The female servers were surprisingly rude and kept rushing us, even though there wasn't a line or anyone waiting for tables. Also, keep in mind they charge $0.75 per container for takeout (I know it's common but keep trashing), so either bring your own containers or don't overorder! One of our family members sneakily paid the bill before we finished our meal. We came here for dim sum this time. A bit annoyed that we'd made a reservation but still ended up having to wait a good 15 minutes or so before we could get a table. Minor setback I suppose though as we generally do like this restaurant a lot and so we've been here multiple times and will probably end up here again in the future. There were a couple of dishes that weren't so stellar this time (egg tarts and sticky rice in banana leaf wrap), but everything else was awesome. Especially loved the pan fried rice rolls with soya sauce. Lots of "wok hei" flavor in it! There was also some kind of deep fried tofu dish with seaweed on it. That was quite different and very much enjoyed it too. Parking is free but somewhat limited as it's shared with other businesses in the plaza; however, there is also free parking on the street if you're not able to get a spot in the parking lot. My parents and I came here for a dim sum lunch today. We hadn't been here for a very long time so we thought we'd pay a visit here. The foods were quite good. We had steamed pork dumplings with abalone, fried chive dumplings, steamed spare ribs and rice rolls with fish paste. Purple rice roll with fried dough, shrimp and cheese: this is the mvp of the table. It just is so delicious, everything blends together and everyone loved it on our table. 2. So being "Labour Day" I decided to take the in-Laws out for Dimsum at one of Vancouvers many Chinese Restaurants.. a recommendation to go to "Prince" (located in a strip mall at the intersection of Grandview Hwy & Renfrew) and so as to be uber safe I made a reservation.. showed up and noted that I made a reservation only to see the Hostess write my name on the list the handed me a beeper.. so basically reservation isn't that we still ended up waiting for another 30 minutes without so much as an apology.. sat down and ordered 9 items and the first dish came out 15 or so minutes later.. the serving staff seemed indifferent and just plopped the dishes attempting to walk away without cutting up the items (eg eggplant stuffed with fish paste) The food was no different from the next with exception to the wild sticky rice in lotus leaf a dependable item So all in all... get to whichever Dimsum restaurant early or establish a relationship with them so they remember you .. obviously I didn't do the latter I will respect a restaurant for their service and attention to detail no matter the caliber of what they consider themselves to be and honestly .. it won't be too soon for me to come back and thus a three star read more

The texture of the taro was smooth and the inner pork filling was curry flavored and good. The sui Mai was deliciously proper with the springy texture and flavor. The only thing was I'm used to the masago on top place after so it retains it's shiny orange color rather than the opaque dull cooked color it had from adding before steaming. Beef balls are ok, nothing special but got the job done. My usual favorite the bean curd roll wasn't my favorite here. It's usually served with a oyster/ soy sauce but this one is served in a creamy broth. It's flavor was slightly milky due to the broth and tasted ok.. but I like the original version better. The filling was correct and texture of everything was spot on other than the broth. The shrimp dumpling again standard and decent, peanut dumpling was spot on a I had a bad experience with that particular order in Victoria. The steamed egg bun was decent. The filling was creamy and not overly sweet. But I did find the bun slightly more dense/ doughy and I like. Chicken feet cooked nicely, gelatinous and tasty. Beef rice roll was ok, the rice roll was ok but nobody can beat a specialty plane that makes the rice roll delicately thin.. The fried radish cake again was ok, nicely fried and standard. The last dish the fried egg/ prawn rice noodles tasted good. Had a very good wok hei and an ok serving size. We had about 12 dishes for 5 adults and a child. We struggled to finish everything but we did it. The food was good and the prices were in the $10-12 range for each dim sum dish. The days of $4-5 per basket are long gone. Nothing really stands out. The shrimp paste stuffed eggplant is the crowd favorite. Pretty good dim sum place by Renfrew Station. Parking is available next to the building (2 lots). There is also street parking in the vicinity. The inside is quite large and actually looks pretty modern, with a classic Cantonese restaurant feel. Pricing is suprisingly reasonable at the time of writing, at $7-10 for most baskets. I can see why the place is packed. Quality is very decent too. Everything tasted fresh. I don't think I had a single bad item among the pile of dishes the bunch of us ordered. After reading a few reviews, I wasn't expecting much. Many of the reviews mentioned steep prices, food not meeting expectations, minimal parking, rude staff and slow service. Also considering that my visit was on Mother's Day, the busiest and most logistical nightmarish day of the year, for all restaurants, my expectations were low. Yes, the parking is minimal and the spots are unusually tight; however, we found a spot upon arrival. I would recommend to arrive early to ensure finding parking. We were seated at our promised reservation time, even thought the place was packed. The food arrived promptly. All but one dish was perfectly cooked. Some of the dishes were outstanding, such as the wild rice with dried scallops and the crispy curried scallop taro dim sum. A couple dishes were disappointing, the shrimp paste eggplant and shrimp paste egg tofu. They tasted too similar with the same bottled and overly sweet chili sauce used as flavoring. I would not expect a place known for steep prices to be using an ordinary sauce that I could easily purchase at any supermarket. The shrimp paste with egg tofu was also a bit over cooked. Service was, dare I say, very good?? The hostess individually wished both my mother and mother-in-law a happy Mother's Day. Requests for things like napkins, hot sauce and takeout boxes were attended to immediately. Yes, the prices are higher; however, the atmosphere, tableware, decor, etc, are all higher end. I didn't like how pushy he was, but my dad wanted it so we ordered that too. The first course was crab meat with fish maw soup. It was a good starter with chunks of crab meat, fish maw & shrimp. Next was the lobster fried sticky rice, which was amazing! Of course I loved it because of the lobster, but the rice was so sticky and flavourful. I want to come back just for this dish. The rest of the set dinner menu was typical Chinese dinner dishes: ginger jalapeño steamed chicken, Taiwanese cauliflower stir-fry, Peking style pork chops, and almond cookies & coconut rice cakes. Royalty food or royalty price? I have been coming here both for dim sum and dinner quite a bit over the years since it's one of the preferred place of one of my good friend. Some of the food are quite good and some are very questionable, but overall it's decently okay. One of my bestie was in town so decided to come by here for dinner. And to check out what they renovated at the same time, honestly I didn't notice any changes? Here were what we ordered for dinner this time around; 1. Crispy slow cooked brisket with curry sauce. Nice tender and juicy with a light little crunch to it. 2. House special crispy chicken stuffed with sticky wild rice. Very nice light crisp to it, tender meat and the rice absorbing the tasty flavours of the chicken. 3. Birds nest soup with minced chicken and dried scallops. Nice light soupy taste. 4. Roasted piglet. The skin was too crunchy and hard, seems like they reheated the whole pig which definitely shouldn't never do, failed a bit here. 5. Live king crab 3 ways (steamed king crab legs with garlic, deep fried body, fried rice with crab roe). I think I preferred the steamed legs just with green onion more, a more natural sweeter taste without the garlic over powering the beautiful flavour of the crab. 6. Stir fried cauliflower with pork neck meat. It was okay, another generic dish. 7. Stir fried sea muscles with onion. I am never a fan of this dish, I prefer geoduck more. 8. Pan fried beef tenderloin with deep fried tofu. Beef was tender and juicy as it should be, glad they didn't overcooked the beef like most chinese restaurants do. 9. Braised Yu Choy with seaweed in consommé. Pretty generic vegetable dish. 10. Steamed ling cod with ginger and green onion. I am never a fan of ling cod so no comment. 11. Baked tapioca pudding. Very nice, not overly sweet. 12. Complimentary cookies and pastries. Nice! Overall, a nice decent dinner especially with special friends, that's one thing can't ever go wrong with besides everyone fighting to pay the bill (that's what friends do, doesn't matter who pay the bill as long as everyone had a good time, not bringing out the calculator for a split bill, silly Western ideology). Some food were good and some were so so but everything started to taste good after a couple of bottles of good wines and alcohol. Nevertheless, I do recommend preordering their crispy chicken with wild rice and their crispy beef brisket with curry sauce. The services here are always decently good for us, the food not too bad and the atmosphere here is always alive when we dine here. We ordered at 11:30 asking for a 12:30 pick up but they must have forgotten our order because our food wasn't ready until 1:00... On the other hand, the food itself is actually very good. The ha gow and sui mai were both well executed and the chicken bun was delicious with a soft exterior and a flavourful chicken filling. The tripe and tendon dish was one of my family's favourites and the baked bbq pork bun was also done just right. We also tried their fried chives dumplings and the fried pork and shrimp dumplings both crispy and tasty when consumed. The rice rolls were nothing amazing but passed the thickness test and their xo sauce radish cakes were very uniformly pan fried. I honestly believe all the less than 4 star reviews come from busy hours: when service becomes impossible, it is too loud to hear your companions and the servers are too busy to realize when you need to change plates. The portions are big here, they make the dishes looking very nice. This place opens at 9:30am, I suggest coming early like around 10am and 10:30am it was already packed especially on a holiday. I also suggest coming on weekdays when they have better deals going on that they unfortunately don't do on the weekends or on holidays. They really do make an effort to make it pretty and garnish up their dishes, especially the uniqueness of some dishes like the ham sui gok which has two different types, one is original which is the lighter one while the other is darker and almost orange in color and almost tasting more like yam and sweeter. Also I like that their pan fried pork buns are black and white, it doesn't taste any differently but it sure does look nice! The shui mai comes with 5 pieces which is nice! We enjoyed an Sunday dim sum brunch at Price Seafood restaurant and were not disappointed. There was a bit of a line, but our group of 4 was seated in around 30 which was exactly how long they estimated. We were promptly served and given the customary tea and hot water. They took our order sheet after a few minutes and the dishes began rolling out. Everything was fresh and well prepared. This is one of my favourite Chinese restaurants, especially for dim sum! The restaurant is very clean and spacious, especially now for COVID the tables have been spaced out very far and they bring your food out on the carts which I enjoy. I came here for a dim sum lunch yesterday with my parents and boyfriend. We were seated within 15 minutes and it was very easy to order, you get 2 rounds of ordering and mark what you want on a sheet of paper. We got all the standard dim sum goods: har gow, siu mai, etc and everything was up to par, high quality ingredients and tasted very delicious. The staff were very nice and checked in on us every so often and all followed COVID protocol. All in all I had a great experience as always from Prince. We called the restaurant directly to place an order and were quoted 30 mins. When we showed up as planned, not only was it difficult to get someone to come to the entrance so we could inquire about our order, they were also extremely rude when providing updates! Another fellow pickup customer ended up returning to their car, calling the restaurant, then the staff came out with their order and berated them for calling, saying it impedes their work and not to bother calling for updates. I was so shocked. I ended up having to wait another 40 mins on top of the quoted half hour just to pick up the food. Some dishes were not that hot so clearly they had been sitting for a while. Even though there was 12% discount for direct order and pick-up, it's not worth my time to wait and I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. 1 star for service, 1 star for food. read more

Overall a very good food experience. Parking is an issue. One of the busiest dim sum restaurants in town, hence service suffered. Didn't get our tea for a long time. Had to ask. Also had to ask for hot water refill. Clean well decorated restaurant. Food quality and taste is one of the better restaurants in town. Here is what we ordered and my rating. Pork Siu Mai, 5/5 Steamed Crystal prawn dumpling, 5/5 Steamed Angus Beef ball, 5/5 Deep fried scallop Taro, 5/5 Rice rolls with prawns and golden chives, 4/5 Rice rolls with spinach and prawn paste, 5/5 Salt and pepper Crispy Squid tentacles, 4/5 Seafood & Sakura shrimp with Belacan fried rice, 3/5......lack taste and rice was too dry....but good presentation. Beef brisket and tendon with thick rice noodle, 5/5 I recommend, but keep in mind parking and super busy restaurant, which tends to be noisy and iffy service. read more

This is not a review for its food - as we were unable to be seated for our allotted time. Made a reservation a week ago for noon. After waiting for an extra 30 minutes, we are still not being seated. No estimated time is given and no explanation is provided (apparently there are 4 more booked tables ahead of us). As of this posting, we decide to leave and try to find another place. The idea of "customer first" seems to be an elusive concept for some restaurants. Apparently if the food is decent, then it's up to the customers to decide whether they should take the "abuse" from the restaurants such as this one. read more
