I have had a few different storage units at this location. The location itself is very clean and new, along with being climate controlled is a plus. Anita has been there since I have started renting from them. She has always been extremely helpful, polite and accommodating. Recently when closing my current unit I was assisted by two new employees Sam and Zack who were also very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this storage facility. They have built additional units across the driveway...I have yet to check those out. My one complaint about this place is the elevators. Sometimes they are a breeze, sometimes they are terrible. read more

This is my first time using a public storage. Doug helped me the day I signed for the unit and he was extremely helpful and tried to accommodate al my requests. The next day when I brought all the boxes and furniture to the storage the unit was smaller than what I needed. Again Doug was there to help me. He was so helpful in switching from one unit size to an other and made the process go so smoothly. Again, asked him for specific requirements about the unit and he did everything to make sure I got the unit I wanted. He is great and provides outstanding customer service. They're ok. Had no issues for the most part. Customer service seems indifferent. They seem friendly but you can tell they are just biding their time until another job comes along. I don't like that when you close out your storage they don't prorate. I also don't like the mandatory insurance they tack on. Other than that, the facility is clean and temperature controlled. read more

The entire row of lights for my unit have been out since late October, 2017. It's really inconvenient to have to run to another aisle for the motion detector to reset lights closeby. I have been complaining since November, 2017 that I have to bring flashlights to see the contents of my unit. It is now late January, 2018 and nothing has been done. I have called, I have emailed and I have spoke to the weekend staff personnel twice in person. Mine is not the only row that is out. Also, if I don't plan my timing perfectly, it is very difficult to get a cart! If the front desk person is showing units, you're out of luck - no cart. I'm a bit older and not that strong ... All this PLUS they recently raised my rent AGAIN. Three times in three years. read more

I rented a space here in July 2013 for $125/month. As of July 2017, my rent had been raised to $199. That's quite a jump in 4 years! What makes it worse is that the service level has gone DOWN in my eyes. I used to find the facility to be clean, but less so in the last 6 months. The other ANNOYING factor is that the sliding doors to the building have been broken for OVER ONE YEAR now. I find this completely unacceptable!! Even talking to management seems to go nowhere. I had a really fantastic experience here (and continue to with my storage unit rental). Trevon in the front office was not only really cool but also really helpful in explaining everything clearly and quickly. I was in and out pretty fast getting onboarded with my storage unit. The facility is very clean. There are push carts sitting in between the security doors to use for loading and unloading which is extremely useful. There is also a restroom right in between the security doors as well. The indoor units are super clean and temperature controlled with huge hallways leading to and from them. There are double security doors to go through that are passcode protected. There is a huge loading area that will fit many cars or moving trucks right outside the entrance doors. The location is really convenient to get to directly off the freeway and is in a really safe office park part of San Diego right by Green Flash Brewery which is a good place to stop after a long day of loading up your storage unit ;) Also the front office has every packing item you could ever want. I picked up a nice box to store my TV in which came with an anti-static sleeve and foam corners for the TV. I also snagged a large roll of plastic wrap for my items. Im not sure how a storage unit facility could be any better to be honest. read more

CLC I have rented at several other storage facilities through out San Diego and when I downsized I was worried about my personal property getting damaged. This facility is climate controlled,clean and has a working brand new elevator that fits large pieces of furniture. It's so easy to get in and out and the staff is very helpful and friendly. I have my own renters insurance and they accepted that without any question. They recently helped me when i forgot my password while traveling and assisted me with restoring my account access. read more

I was just verbally harassed and scrutinized by the property manager I found out his name is Anthony. Last manager was Gary who was super nice. I come here after work or even during my days off cause I have a Unit here and all of the sudden Anthony accuses me of being here too long and that he was going to tow my vehicle if I was not nearby. I asked him why he was scrutinizing me all of the sudden. It's not like we've never spoken cause I relayed to home 2 weeks ago how my tires had to be replaced because when they had work done on the building they left so much trash and the area had so many screws which they never cleaned or picked up. He got verbally loud and aggressive with me like I was not a customer and he also said I was taking too long hanging around the area. It's a storage facility which we can access from 6 AM - 9 PM and if chose to be here longer I have a right to be here I am a paying customer. I never been treated this way by anyone and I find this very disturbing. I called customer service to find out who the corporate manager is for this property and I was give a person named Taylor. I left 2 voicemails as urgent and no call back. I am definitely taking this up to upper level and I now feel threatened and I will no longer rent here after this month. I will also make sure everyone is aware how unprofessional and how Anthony displayed what terrible customer service skills he has. It's definitely not property management material cause now I am afraid to even be here or have my personal items stored here. He can easily go into my unit without me knowing since he stated he can do whatever he wants to when he was talking over me cause it's his job!!! Be aware of the fine print in your month-to-month contract. Our company had three (2 large and one small) spaces. The two large ones got a rate increase of 25% (from $162 to $202 per month) in just 5 months. The smaller one was rented a couple of months later and I assume the rate will be increased as well soon. read more

I have been wanting to post this review since they raised my rent on my storage with no notice whatsoever about six months in. You don't even get a year in and they will raise your rent. If they raise it again I definitely will be moving my stuff elsewhere. Was out of town and their system was not working properly online...by the time I got back to get around to paying a few days late I incurred a late fee due to their stupid website issues, I decided to wait to pay at the end of the month just because well if you are going to charge someone an extra fee for your own issues then at the very least you should have to wait for it!!! Do not rent from this property the staff lacks common sense, they say whatever they need to in the beginning to get a sale but after that don't expect them to remain so competent and nice. Seriously not worth it. I have had storage elsewhere and I didn't have them raising my rent every six months. If it wasn't such a hassle to move I would have move the moment they raised my rent without notice!!! Take my word and stay far away!!!! read more

An update. Anthony and Brittany are the best. Anthony is very knowledgable about the whole process: while it may seem tedious and inconvenient at first, there is a reason for everything - in the case with PS, often it is related to security. Brittany was very friendly and helpful. Both of them were extremely committed to helping me get the best deal possible, and ensuring all things are lined up just right before the all-important move-out-of-dorm day. On the day I went to PS to pay for and start my reservation (before move-out day), there was a software glitch with the access codes, since the system had just migrated to a new one. New access codes were hitting issues, including mine. Anthony followed this up with PS corporate and tech support multiple times in the day, and finally when the problem was fixed, Anthony called my phone to inform me he had personally confirmed that my code was working in all the keypads it needed to. Public Storage is a joke! Their one job, as far as customer service is concerned, is to assure the safety of your property. I had left a box of my belongings in the lobby area. I called and asked if they could grab it and I would be by when I am back in the area to pick it up. The girl (Sam) said she found it and would hold it for me. I came back in 2 weeks to grab it and to my surprise the guy at the counter said he threw the box and it's contents in the dumpster area. He took me out there to see if it was still there (the dumpster is in a locked area) however, it had been taken. They took no responsibility for their actions and the manager gave me the run around and played phone tag with me. They had no problem throwing my things away, they didn't even try calling me to say I need to come pick up my things. I'm just glad they weren't valuable items. The contents of the box was valued at around $200, but that's besides the point. Their customer service and accountability is similar to the United States government, non existent! I ask that you not take this review lightly, they need to know this behavior is unacceptable!!! read more

The associate who showed me around -- Zach -- was knowledgeable, courteous, professional and very nice. He patiently answered all my questions and showed me options that would best fit my needs. On a follow-up visit after I signed-up, I dealt with Rocky who was equally courteous, knowledgeable and quite helpful. The facility is well-maintained, clean and well-lit and has office parks nearby. I was looking for a large space that is climate-controlled which is hard to come by and this particular location had what I was looking for. We are moving to an apartment from a house and need a small space to store things that used to be in the garage. I located a unit on-line; when I called with some questions, they found a cheaper unit of the same size, nearer to our new apartment and in an air-conditioned building! I am saving $11/month thanks to their help. When I showed up to start an account and see the unit, they were very helpful with the paper work. My husband couldn't come with me that day so one of the staff lifted a storage box from the trunk of my car to a dolly and even accompanied me to the unit and took the box off the dolly. Just got a unit from Shawn and he was awesome. I wasn't sure of the space I would need and he actually helped me instead of trying to up sell me. Would totally recommend this location -- same guy turned out to be a part of their con - they keep adding fees and they have stolen things that I had stored at their location by trying to charge $826.00 for two week late penalty on a $165/ month unit. if anyone is looking to do a class action lawsuit and have them audited, I am with you and I kept records along with phone records to add as proof read more
