I had my daughter's birthday here last month and let me just say the price they charge for the service given is not even in comparison. They charge way too much for a party and the service they provided was not even average. First of all we walk in to the party room and it smells like burnt pizza. I also noticed not all of the extra pizzas I ordered for the adults were there. I believe 2 pizzas were missing. Secondly when I walked over to the kids pizzas they were burnt. Now I've got a party for a bunch of 6 year old kids, so you think they're gonna be ok with eating burnt pizza? I tell the party host the pizzas were burnt and that my kids aren't going to eat that and he tells me he will ask if another pizza can be made. I also ask him where my other pizzas are and he has no idea. The party host talked to each other the entire time in the party room instead of serving the kids pizza and drinks like they were supposed to. After the party I was asked to leave a review which I did, letting them know I was unhappy with the service during our time in the party room. The manager responded with an apology and making excuses for employees. Then offers me a free jump pass to come back. Which totaled less than 15.00. I feel for all my trouble they could have at least credited me for the pizza that they burnt and tried to serve. I mean over 600 for a party and you're going to serve my kids burnt pizza?? Or should I say even serve my kids since the hosts pretty much chatted between themselves the whole time. All in all the kids had fun in the jumper rooms, but the party room was a disaster. I will NOT be going back for a future party. read more

We had our sons 4th birthday party here. He and all of his guests loved it. Two separate playrooms with face painting in each room, followed by pizza, fruit and ice cream cake. Pump It Up San Jose is newer, clean, and convenient to reach from highway 85 with lots of parking spots available. There is a no-outside-food policy and the food inside is just mediocre. Hence, 4 stars instead of 5. We just had a party in there with Mohammad and Madi as our party coordinators. They were fun and cheerful and easy to work with. They seemed to know their art very well and the kids seemed to have lots of fun with them and with their rides. read more

What a great place to have our daughter 3rd Birthday. To be honest what kid doesn't like a bunch of Jumpy houses. It might not have just been the kids that had fun jumping but also a few of us adults. What was really great was our two party host Amanda and Nicole they made everything so very easy. Literally from when we checked in till the end they didn't let us lift a finger. We loved that they interacted with kids that were a little shy, and took great picture that the kids enjoyed so much while they ate their pizza. Even as we were ready to leave they loaded up our car with presents and leftover pizza. It was worth every penny, we didn't have to do anything but have fun. This place is pretty cool if you have kids. My brother had a bday party for my neice and nephew here. They move the group through different rooms after a certain amount of time where there's different equipment. The kids were running around like maniacs and going down slides and in bounce houses, playing basketball. There was a face painter, not sure if that was includee. It was cool because you get to keep eyes on your kids at all times. But, it's usually not necessary since everything is padded and chance of injury seems very minimal. I believe they provided food and drinks for everyone after playing for a while. I left right before then, but, the whole place looked like a lot of fun. read more

This is the second year in a row we had our twin daughter's birthday party here and it was better than ever. Although I wish the jumping time was longer, the kids had an amazing time. The best part was that our party coordinators (Brad and Nicole) took care of everything. All we had to do was sit and chat with the other parents. If I could give zero stars, I would. Wasted money throwing my daughter's 5th birthday here & did NOT get the experience I was looking for. First off, at time of booking & every check in after I asked if I could order pizza for adults the day of, since I wasn't sure how many would be staying & didn't want to order over or under. Each time I was told that YES I would be able to add on food that day, but I needed to confirm the kids food order that Wednesday, which I did. Day of party I go to order & the manager tells me he'll have to see if the kitchen has what's needed to be able to accommodate the extra pizzas. I explained to him that I asked ahead of time to be able to order for the adults & each time was told yes. He asked for their names & I couldn't remember because I speak to so many people on a daily basis, the last thing I remember is everyone's name. Gave me short answer & said he would let me know if the kitchen could make them. Thankfully they were able to make them but I wasted time on energy on that whole ordeal. Next issue, I booked & sent out invitations for a Glow in The Dark Party (given to me by Pump It Up). I DID NOT GET A GLOW PARTY. During the party I asked when they would start the glow stuff & she had no idea what I was talking about. Ends up turning off the light (turned on black light) for 10 minutes, throws out glow necklaces and that's it. No activities as is included in the description. They didn't do any activities while in the other room either. I've been to parties here before & have seen staff be very interactive and run games. None of that happened. These two were more interested in talking and playing with each other than with the kids. When addressing the Glow Party issue & the fact that they got TEN minutes of glow time , she said "Sorry. I can turn off the lights while they eat pizza." Like what is that supposed to do? They'll end up splling juice cus they can't see. Manager said sorry & that he would talk to the staff, & not charge me for the glow party. But my issue is I didn't care as much about the cost. I cared about the overall experience which I didn't get. And for that matter, when I was talking to the manager at the end of the event his tone was very fake & slightly condescending. It wasn't a sincere apology, it was like let me let this lady talk but I already have a prefabricated response that I'm gonna give her. Due to the lack of sincere customer service & all of the mix ups, I will NOT be returning to this location to host any events, and will suggest to my friends that they don't either. Disappointed because there are a lot of good things, & if we had gotten the full glow party we booked & some more genuine concern for customer satisfaction, I feel like I would have been really pleased and willing to work with the minor issues. read more

They did a great job and took terrific pictures for us! My daughter already asked to come back next year! Thank you--- I thought they took a lot and great pictures but I was wrong once I saw them on the website after I purchased them. They ALL have the pump it up label on them! I wished I had just taken a lot of my own and then I would have some great pictures! Plus they keep asking you to write a review before you even leave and your guests are still there. You haven't even had a chance to evaluate it yet but they make sure to tell you what they want!-- After taking to Kelly the manager she took care of everything I was upset about. We hosted a birthday party there and we had an excellent experience. Notwithstanding a few less than flattering reviews in yelp in the past, going into this, we were a bit skeptical -- and we told them so! But we are extremely happy with our experience; this was perhaps among the least stressful birthday we hosted! Full marks to their staff - very courteous, professional and prompt who were always respectful of us and our guests and of their needs. Further, we noticed this all through the various stages -- from the person who walked us through our food order over phone a few days prior, to the hostess at the entrance to greet the guests to the two reps that were assigned to be with our party all the time. We never had to ask for anything, they seemed to anticipate our needs and do stuff! We were anxious about food service given our party size but everything went smoothly. The main play area, of course, is quite clean and safe -- as in most Pump it ups in the valley. If I had to ding them on something, I'd say ... it could be a bit cheaper. Celebrated my sons birthday party today. The facilities were clean, staff are friendly and most of the kids had a great time. It is overpriced but very convenient. Unfortunately one of our guests was seriously injured in the last minutes of playtime. A 2.5 year old broke her femur and required surgery that evening. Pump it up is not safe. I will never allow my children to attend a party here again. I don't have the exact details about how she was injured however it happened on the slide in the second party area in the center climbing section. I hope that Pump it up will follow up and address the safety issues in the facility before another child is seriously injured. I communicated the incident to management later in the day and did not receive any sort of follow up. Two days later I called back and spoke with the manager on duty. The manager had no idea that a serious injury had occurred while using their equipment- I am concerned that management and owners have not checked to ensure that the equipment is safe. read more

I like this location is clean and brand new. There is plenty of seating for parents, which the Sunnyvale location didn't have, plus a computer bar with power outlets. It is a smaller space than other locations; the slides aren't quite as tall and no climbing wall, so bigger kids may not find it as exciting as other locations. There is free play time during specific hours. Call or check the website. Overall the employees were nice, but I have noticed some of the room attendants not enforcing the safety rules consistently. Perhaps more training is needed. Overall it is a good location. read more

I have been to several Pump it up parties in Milpitas and Santa clara locations. I had been to this location for the first time. Compared to other pump it ups the cons here are: 1. MCs are terrible. eg: they dint even ask everyone to stand around the cake when the birthday girl was cutting it. There was too much disconnect. Poor girl was expecting all her friends to surround her and sing for her. 2. The pizzas were delivered late and the hosts dint bother to re-fill. The pizzas were half done. Food was bad. 3. The facility was a little different, would have loved to see better inflatables for 4 year olds. May be the room that they picked dint suit 4 year olds. read more

My niece's birthday was here, they do a good job. They usher into two cool different rooms with you party and kids in toe. Do be prepared to watch your own children as they are not "babysitters" and that's why you sign the waiver. But it's a really fun time for the kids and they are organized and efficient with the time you have. Great spot to hold your birthday party for your kids. They keep the cake (ours was an ice cream cake) in their cooler and serve pizza. Good stuff read more

I just took my daughter to a friend's birthday party here and I was so impressed. Even though they host many parties a day at overlapping times, you never cross paths with the other parties. Everything is organized and on time. The two rooms filled with bounce houses are awesome. The kids were engaged the whole time. The two party attendants were great with the kids. One took a lot of photos which I imagine was a great perk for the host! Once in the food room, the party attendants took care of everything and the pizza and other food was great! This is a wonderful birthday party venue for the preschool and early elementary crowd. read more

Pump it up hours for birthdays Beware that compared to all the other locations, they will stick 30 kids in the eating room for 45 min instead of 30 min which was way too long for 30 kids and 25 adults especially when I was not serving pizza given the time frame. Perhaps you can ask ahead of time but I thought this was consistent everywhere else. Food orders Beware that you are not allowed to bring in food, they purchase food from costco and rip you off. 2 trays of veggies and 2 trays of fruits costed me $120. ALSO, I told them please serve whatever is best for 25 adults and 25 kids. They only prepared 2 costco fruit trays and the guests especially the kids were not happy. Even the staff managing my group said the serving is WAY off and apologize, tossed in veggies and bread sticks for emergency. Owner of the place said "We can never know". Awesome excuse but it wasn't even close maam. Pictures I said I'd like to have the option of choosing between your pictures and my friend's pictures. Post party they did not give me an access code. Thank god they still had our pictures but now they said I have to buy before I purchase. What kind of photography service is that?? They told me THEN that I was supposed to look at the pictures during the event. Yes, when I am busiest at most making sure my son is having the best party and mind me, taking care of the serving mistake they did in the first place. They ended up showing me the pictures but many were blurry and red eyed, not much of my son's picture, and The most important group picture was....too bright and hard to see. Manager and staffs attitude. The staff was great. They handled it very well with me but the owner not so much. With little things piling up, it was hard to be calm for me and expressed that I am frustrated. I told her that some of my friends were considering this location for their party but decided not to through my experience and I can place a negative review and she said "I already have good reviews so I don't care", then hung up. *This review is for the 12/31/17 new year's even family event* 3 stars only because the kids had a great time. But the adults were disappointed. The website promised the ticket price of the event included pizza, veggies, and fruit. The "veggies" was salad (guess how many kids had that) and there was no fruit. There was a surprise addition of chicken nuggets and bread sticks - to take the place of the lost fruit? Also promised were glow necklaces and a balloon for each child. No necklaces. No balloons. Instead, we received one paper sound blower thing. These were given to kids who were promptly told not to blow them by the staff. The kids were supposed to use them only at a certain time apparently. To top it off, each adult had to pay $10 to stand and watch their kids. I later saw that the Santa Clara location was charging zero for adults as long as they didn't eat. As the event was not during the dinner or lunch hours, not eating Pump it Up pizza would have been fine by us. :-/ read more

After going for open jump in the afternoons a few times, I have decided to stop. The theme is the same. Workers sit at the front and do nothing. If there are less than 8 kids then they are very brazen about pushing you out in 1 1/2 hrs even though you pay for 2 hours for open jump. The first room gets very hot about 40mins after starting. I say this with confidence b/c I asked parents who were sitting the entire time if they felt hotter and the last time I brought a Digital Hygrometer. I was in shock that the room was at 80 degrees. A worker shows up to move to the 2nd room. Into the 2nd room and it was also very hot at 80 degrees. I asked for the A/C to be turned down 3 times and we finally got 78 degrees. Please understand that the kids are very physically active. The kids have bright red faces & all of them were drenched in sweat. When I would play a measly 20 minutes in each room I was a wet mess too. The 2nd room also really smelled like athlete's foot/ locker room stench each time we have gone. My spouse & I question how frequently they are steam cleaning the rug, sanitizing the equipment, and wiping the balls and blocks b/c it looks pretty gross. We have wiped the balls and Blue curvy blocks ourselves with hand sanitizer--- We should be getting paid and not the zombie teens who sit at the desk glued to their phones! Suddenly the workers show up 1/2 hour prior to end time; each one comes in and speaks with parents. I notice them approaching the quiet parents or foreign parents first each time. Those parents always leave first & I am certain b/c the lazy teens told them some BS. At 15 minutes to finish I get approached about a party coming; so what does that have to do with me leaving early? How many parties they throw on the weekends and people are in room 1 while people are in room 2. There are 2 workers so I ask why aren't we allowed until the end of open jump and the response was 1st time about liability and the 2nd was that it was teenagers coming. The 3d time I demanded the worker to show me in writing where it said open jump ends earlier that the listed end time on their website. The irony is it states on the waiver an attendant will be in the room while people are jumping/ playing but there were NO attendants during the 3 open jumps we were there. So 2 of 3 times we were kicked out earlier than the listed end time so the workers could leave by 6:25PM and then 5:30PM. Obviously there was never a party after us full of teens since the website states they close at 9AM to 7PM Mon-Thurs plus they locked the doors and all workers left. Also if you do a party then make sure you get your own cake. The Cold Stone Creamery cakes TASTE BAD and they up charge up for them. The pizza taste blah and they should use Freschetta or DiGiorno instead. There isn't much in your party room unless you provide it. If someone gets sick and decides to sue then please contact us. I read that a child fell off a piece of equipment. I can tell you that child should of never been moved and an ambulance should of been called ASAP. Why aren't the employees trained in adult/ child CPR & First Aid? It only costs $60 or less per person if you do a group training! Plus the certificates are good for 2 years. It is really filthy in those rooms and the bathrooms can be really gross too, especially during parties. read more
