Mango and passion fruit tea
Lisa N.

It was so hot yesterday and I was looking for a fruit tea spot in the area. To be honest, San Diego doesn't really have any good boba spots compared to the Bay Area. I ordered the mango and passion fruit tea with less ice, normal sweetness, and add-on aloe vera. Drinks were made fast and staff were kind. It was so satisfying because u had just ate some chicken wings elsewhere. It was sooo good that I ordered a second one to-go!

Good drinks but the toppings were a little skimpy. It was also a little dark and dirty. The employees weren't as friendly or welcoming either.

Sharetea is one of the OGs of the bubble tea world being founded over 30 years ago in the early 1990s. This Linda Vista location is very convenient as I work out at a nearby gym so I can grab a beverage here afterwards. It's the same menu as offered throughout the Sharetea chain. Unfortunately, parking in The Presidio Plaza was just as bad as the former shop on Convoy Street, if not arguably worse, because every space was tightly packed. I usually get one of the fruit teas which are not too sweet for my palate. The size of the drink and quality of the tea were fairly reasonable. The chewiness of the boba pearls was not quite up to the level of my favorite hangouts though. One aspect which I did find incredibly annoying was a surcharge if you requested less ice for your drink. That used to not be the case when they first opened. I think they may have backed off from such a surcharge due to customers like me complaining. They formerly offered a frequent user card, however I believe it has been discontinued.

Classic Black Milk Tea

Stopped by Sharetea on Black Friday, after being unable to find any parking in Fashion Valley, for a drink while I waited for some friends to join me for dinner. I ordered the classic black milk tea with boba at 25% sweetness and it came out just perfect. The tea is freshly brewed and tasted perfect with the milk (not sure if they use powdered milk?) and boba. Lots of seating inside and there was just one other person there, so it doesn't seem like it sees a lot of traffic. Not a bad spot for boba if in the area.

Wintermelon fresh meowk with boba

I ordered a wintermelon fresh milk with boba and really enjoyed it, practically chugged it. The workers are very friendly and the service is quick even when busy. Plus the cat theme is very cutesy.

Matcha Pearl Milk-tea

Absolutely loved this matcha milk tea with boba! The matcha flavor was smooth and rich without being too bitter, and the milk made it super creamy. The boba pearls were perfectly soft and chewy, which made every sip even better.

Great menu options but the service was on the slower side. Corner of the place has a nice game area with cards, games, and a cushy lounge chair.

I recently visited Purltea (formerly Sharetea) and I'm seriously impressed with the rebrand! The drinks are just as good if not better. Service was fast and really friendly!

Teas brewed fresh, and delicious, service was quick and, nice ambiance lots of seating and music

Honey Lemonade with Aloe Vera

Decided to get some tea the other day and it lead me to ShareTea. There was a long parking lot with a lot of other shops there. Cashier looked new or nervous not sure which but either way did fine. Place looked clean but weird enough they have a very small doorway entrance for some reason. I got the Honey lemonade with Aloe Vera gel cubes. They throw in some lemon wedges as well. What a refreshing drink. So good and just the right amount of sweetness. I didn't ask for any changes because I wanted to see what they considered average and it was just right. I would definitely come back again.

Strawberry Coconut Ice Blend - vegan!

On a hot summer day to 5265 ste 201... just down the street from USD. Ordered a strawberry, coconut ice blended non-caffeinated drink. Slushy cool & refreshing. All vegan & de-caf - splendid. It fulfilled my craving for something cool & refreshing. Friendly service cashier was nice and answered lots of questions. Good place recommend will come again.

Mango Crema with Aloe
Stefanie C.

I love that this Sharetea location has an overall 4.5 star rating. I enjoyed my experience and would definitely come back but wasn't THAT blown away by the Mango Crema with Aloe I ordered. Service was fine, plenty of seating inside. Parking can be challenging around this area. Wouldn't go out of my way to visit again, but my friend and I finished a workout nearby and this was conveniently located after having ramen for lunch. Overall great way to satisfy a craving for something refreshing, whether you like milk teas or fruity drinks!

Purl Tea Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Purl Tea

Do they have oat milk? I don't like non dairy creamer.

Hi, we do have Almond milk as an alternative :)

Does anyone know if this location is still open right now during the pandemic? :)

Yes, Sharetea Linda Vista is Still open Everyday from 12 - 8PM.

What is creama? Is that the sea salt cream?

Yes, it is our version of the sea salt cream you find at other locations.

I want to be able to bring in my reusable cup and metal Boba-sized straw. 1) are you cool with us bringing in our own up and 2) what oz are your drinks?

Hi, we are sorry for the late reply. Our drink size is 22 oz and we welcome reusable cup :) Thank…

Their menu has a huge selection of teas, milk teas, smoothies, and other drinks, so narrowing it down to just one was definitely the hardest part. We ended up getting Mango, Taro and Ube Smoothies, and all were delicious. They were refreshing and exactly what we needed after spending a hot day walking around the city. In fact, we came back twice. It actually would've been three times if our first visit had worked out. We arrived before the posted closing time, but the employee told us they were already closed. Maybe the hours listed were incorrect, but it was a little confusing. Other than that small hiccup, we had a great experience. The drinks were consistently good, the location was convenient, and we'll definitely stop by again the next time we're in San Diego.

It's a good place to sit and talk. It was $16.17 for both drinks. Strawberry Yakult (3.5/5) - I got this with less ice and 75% sweetness. It had a tangy, slightly sour flavor because of the Yakult. The strawberry flavor isn't very strong. Strawberry Yogurt Smoothie (4.5/5) - I liked this one a lot more! The yogurt flavor wasn't too strong, and the strawberry flavor was nice. I liked how there was strawberry purée on the sides of the cup. I got crystal boba in both drinks. It was nice and chewy. I'd recommend this place.

I'm surprised some people could sit down and work/study successfully. Note: I had a positive experience last time getting a blended drink, but today I felt like trying their Thai Tea (not blended) and two Korean Corn Dogs. I ordered the hot Cheeto one with cheese and sausage. Did not wind up receiving the hot Cheeto one. Got a regular one with all cheese, no sausage. Partner got a potato one with cheese and sausage, but only 25% of the filling was sausage. We ate them anyways and wanted to leave it at that since the parking was so difficult. Then my stomach started gurgling in a very wrong way. I don't know if something went wrong with the Thai tea (was the milk they used expired?), or with my Korean corn dog possibly being prepared wrong with a new hire, but my body rejected it violently once I got home. I'd be very cautious about coming back here. Most likely won't. Couldn't finish my Thai Tea. Had to throw it out. I'm hoping this was just an unfortunate one time thing, because it seems like people for the most part have a good experience from their food and drinks. This is my third ever time visiting Urban Bubble. The past two visits were for blended drinks and they were great! The girl working the cash register on the evening of 4/24 around 8:00PM was really helpful with suggesting recommendations and did great. I don't know who prepared my food and drink but maybe they need extra training, heads up. If you order food, I suggest that you check the food before leaving the building instead of trusting that it was correct and finding out once you've already left.

They also always have samples by the register and last time I sampled their Grapefruit Bloom and it was also very good and you could really taste the tea! The interior feels like a wild little wonderland--funny photos in cutesy frames, oversized chairs and couches, curtains on the windows, flowers draping the walls. Super cute, genuinely charming. Then the TV ruined it. The soccer game was blasting at full volume and the staff behind the counter were completely checked out, locked into the match like the rest of the room didn't exist. It felt like they were on a different planet. Mouth-breather energy, zero awareness of customers. Hard to enjoy the space when the sound is that aggressive. The Thai tea itself was excellent. You can actually taste the layers--the highs, the lows, the richness and texture. Real craftsmanship. Problem is, they don't do blended versions (only iced), and after driving all the way out here I was craving that thicker, blended texture. Still, the quality was clear. My buddy's iced latte was next-level though--insanely strong and delicious. Could wake the dead. Worth popping in if you're already in the neighborhood and want solid, authentic drinks. Just be prepared for a possible TV takeover and the trek. Cute space, great drinks, but the vibe gets tanked by the noise and the staff's total disconnect.
