Had the handmade taro w/ oat milk. It's a slushy like blended drink. While I love that they offer dairy milk alternatives...The main thing I didn't enjoy about it was the overall flavor. I don't know if it was the taro drink or the boba or both but it had a very odd flavor like flat cola. I think it might've been whatever syrup the boba was in. The music was awful and vulgar, the guy could not really describe a drink, then the drink was literally NOTHING like the picture. This location gives Sharetea an AWFUL name, would suck if this was someone's first impression of Sharetea. The place is dingy, poorly lit, cement walls, and they play heavy metal type music, that's the vibe. Please find another location to go to, save your money from this one. During my experience at Sharetea, there was hardly any trash on the floor or on the tables when I looked around. The music that was blaring, the calming lights, and the employees working all helped contribute to make a calming atmosphere perfect for working silently. The tea really has an authentic tea flavor. Boba is on the chewier side which I like. The cashiers were very friendly. They also use reusable shakers to make their drinks and even accommodated my reusable cup! Can't say how happy I was to see this. Not enough boba places care about sustainability. read more

COVID-19 review: Been here several times and I haven't had any complaints about the boba tea they offer. They have variety of tea and non-tea drinks too. Their bobas are always cooked right and the customer service is good here also. They only have one size. One thing to note though, their music is so loud that I feel like I have to yell every time. I'm a little bit nervous since this place is so close to my new house. I find myself getting cravings for their drinks more often than I should! It's so good! First of all when you walk in the place smells like cookies. I tried to order whatever it was but I was told that it was a vanilla wallflowers from Bath and Bodyworks haha For about six bucks I got a huge frozen mango tea with vanilla ice cream and lychee jelly. The location is great with plenty of parking and it's easy to pop in and pop out after the gym or on a hot day to cool off. On those cooler days in San Diego (like all 6of them when it rains, you can get a hot drink with various toppings as well. Love me some Sharetea! I was so excited to see that there was a location on the outskirts of SD. I had a hankering for aloe jelly as per usual so this happy accident was a delight. Upon walking in this location is actually pretty big compared to the other locations i have been to. They have a seating area, bar stools and a sizable bar. I opt for the lemon black tea with no sugar and aloe jelly. There was only one size to choose from which is (i'm guessing) a 16 oz. I started to read the signs near the register and there is pretty much a up charge for EVERYTHING. If you want less ice, up charge, more of anything less of anything there's up charges, which is a little odd. But that's their policy. Our orders were ready within in minutes, I've had a lemon black tea from SOO many places but ShareTea's was VERY sour. So i would recommend maybe taking the lemon out of your tea if you get any add ons. When i tried to get some aloe jelly i would get giant pieces of lemon instead. read more

Tldr; Very huge quantity, definitely worth the price! Tip: Go for 75% Sweetness. Went here on a hot afternoon with some friends and we ordered 2 of the fruit teas. One was the Honey Lemon with Aloe Vera and the other was the Mango & Passion Fruit Green Tea. Hadn't tried them before, but they sounded very interesting, so we went for it. The Mango one was regular sweetness but ended up being way too sweet. Felt a little like sugar syrup at one point. Picked the 50% sweetness for the Honey Lemon, which ended up being too less sweet. So we had to alternate sips between the two. I think 75% sweetness on both of them would have been perfect. The chunks of aloe vera in the Honey Lemon were a nice surprise though. If was a pretty afternoon and service was quite slow. They make the drinks in batches, so even though both drinks were ordered on 2 separate consecutive orders, they fell into 2 different groups and came out a good 5-7 minutes apart! read more

I've only been a handful of times being that I'm new to boba tasting and the boba experience. On this particular occasion there were two young gentleman by the names of Kirby and IJ, where I was greeted with an upbeat tone and were quick with making my drink. They provided me with some of the best sellers and were well versed of each drink on the menu. These staff members are the real deal and deserves a raise indeed! It's a breath of fresh air to not have to leave a negative review (because I feel that happens frequently on Yelp) but being able to highlight something and people who are positive. The only reason this place doesn't get five stars is because the parking in the shopping center can be brutal. My drink was recommended by the gal working after I asked what her favorite drink was. She likes mixing pudding in it as well which has a caramel toffee flavor and quite good. Love their extensive menu of milk teas and fruit teas and they have lots of filling options ranging from regular boba to mango and strawberry boba, grass jelly, pudding, adzuki beans and much more. Also love their plastic wrap tops which seem more environmentally friendly using less plastic than regular bulky tops. Got to try 2 drinks: Matcha Red Bean 80% sweetness - light not too creamy and perfectly sweetened - I would get this again (5/5) Kiwi fruit tea w/ boba 100% sweetness - honestly barely any kiwi so dont expect fruit. Also too sweet and artificial tasting. The boba was slightly sweet but small and very hard and undercooked. Boba (1/5) Overall drink (2/5). Service Friendly. Seems to be popular study spot for college kids. Free wi-fi. My advice- Stick to the matcha teas, get no more than 80% sweetness, dont expect much fruit in fruit teas, skip the boba! read more
